We were traveling through Kansas and hit some tire junk leftover from a semi. We pulled in and Casey immediately helped us out. He was quick, did a thorough check, and fixed the problem for a very reasonable price. And it all happened before our toddlers even got bored! Thank you!!

Last week my husband was driving thru Kansas on the way to a family gathering. His car decided to quit on him at a gas station in Hays. God bless Davis Garage. He was towed there, and it turned out to be a very minor issue. They could have charged him and arm and a leg. But they didn’t charge him a penny. They were incredibly nice and went the extra step to insure he got back on the road in minutes. You don’t find that type of service anymore. Honest and friendly!

TOP NOTCH Shop!! Driving from Wichita to Colorado, our alternator went out and our car died on the side of the highway 20 miles east of town. They towed us in record time (James was great!!) and Dallas stayed late after the shop was closed to replace our alternator and get us back on the road! Extremely knowledgeable, honest and helpful! I can’t thank you enough! You saved our butts and allowed us to get home with minimal delay!

Over priced for my taste especially the tow that was less than 2 miles

I called for lockout service and they said they would have the driver call me. I waited almost 2 hours and still no call. Nothing. The add said 24 hrs. I didnt know thats just how long it would take them to get here

After work I stopped into Cervs to fuel up and I locked my keys and phone in my pickup. I asked a stranger if they could call Davis for me and Dallas told the guy he would be there in about 15 mins. Dallas was there in less than 5 minutes, got my door unlocked in a matter of 10 seconds! Very friendly and super fast!

They said they could tow me and check out my vehicle. Their tow truck driver had us back to their shop (we were stranded on I-70 15 miles away) and our water pump replaced in less than 2 hours. As a business owner myself, I strive to model the courteous and prompt service of the staff at Davis Automotive myself. I highly recommend them to all!

The towing was great the rest of the experience was terrible. Very unprofessional, did not do what they said they would do and marked the part I ordered up100%. Would not recommend Davis to anyone. Finally got my car repaired properly at another repair facility the same day and and was on my way home.

My transmission blew up on the way from Arkansas to Colorado Springs. Despite my insurance company telling the Tow driver I was over 700 miles from them he found me. Great job and very pleasant young man. Dallas diagnosed the problem and when it wasnt a fast fix he loaded me into his own truck along with all my gear and got me to a Uhaul he had arranged. Transmission replaced along with lines and several other things he found. All done in 5 days. Truck runs great highly recomend

We locked our keys in our car on the evening of Memorial Day and Robbie is the one that the insurance company sent out. Praise God that they did! We had a very difficult car to get into, but he was confident that he could get in and he did! He arrived quickly and was very friendly! If we ever needed anything automotive, hed be our first call!

Heading home tonight from Colorado, we blew out a tire on I-70 and didn’t have a reliable spare to get us 4 more hours to our home destination. Thanks for the great service! My sister and I had our alternator go out on our road trip to Georgia. Robbie showed up to tow us. He was personable and prompt and went above and beyond to get us set up to continue our road trip. He not only drove the jeep to the mechanic shop I requested but also dropped us off at a hotel.

I went in to Davis Automotive because my truck would not start. I knew it was something with the ignition switch when turning the key.I was told they would come pick up the truck at my residence and if they couldnt start it to drive it, they would charge $25 to tow it. I was also told they would call me with an exact price before they fixed the issue. I was quoted in the shop about $200 before they ever picked up the truck.They came and picked up the truck a few hours later and were able to start it by running power from the battery to the solenoid and drove it to their shop. It took about a day and they called me back and told me the total was $255 and it was ready to pick up. What happened to calling me before it was fixed? What happened to the $200 estimate?I get there to pay for it and they charged me $20 for picking up the truck, $15 for use of the shop tools, about $60 for parts and over $150 for labor. I asked about the $20 for picking it up and I was told they always charge that, and I was lucky they didnt have to tow it or they would have charged $45.Overall, I was very dissatisfied with their service. If you want a quick expensive repair done, go here. Otherwise, go somewhere else. I will not be taking any more of my vehicles to Davis Automotive.

Anyone can claim they dont like the cost of a service when they dont understand the extent of the issue. I greatly value people like Kevin who are willing to give advice and offer a hand without hesitation. Having driven a tow truck myself, I can appreciate the fair price on such a detrimental service. I waited less than 5 minutes before Kevin arrived to help me establish the origin of my issues. Timely arrival when in need of a tow can be invaluable. Cant say enough how happy we are with Davis Automotive. Recently, one of our RV renters made the mistake of putting diesel fuel in a gasoline engine RV, on their way to Colorado from Kansas City. Needless to say, they broke down on the highway and things looked VERY grim. Enter Kevin and the team at Davis, who the next day worked with us on the phone, patiently answering every question and understanding our predicament (and our renters). Not only did they take care of the RV and put our minds at ease, they worked us in right away, got things fixed up, and our renters were able to finish their trip with only a minor delay! Our 5th wheel trailer blew a tire just west of a Hayes. We called our insurance and they contacted Davis. They said they would be here in 45 minutes but the owner was here in only 15! He was very friendly and fast! We would definitely recommend him.to ANYONE for.ANYTHING! ! Thank you so much!!

Traveling across Kansas our van started making a terrible front end noise. They got me right in, took care of the problem, and the cost was very low. We were back on the road quickly thanks to them. The customer service was excellent. I am so grateful we went to Davis Automotive. They saved our trip.

I cant say enough about Davis automotive. My husband and I were on our way to Keystone, CO on Good Friday after midnight to meet our children and grandchildren for our Spring Break Vacation and started having trouble with our truck. We got a room in Hays, KS and my husband was at Davis Automotive at 9:00 am when they opened, except they did not open because it was Saturday before Easter. He called the number and the owner not only answered on his day off, but came in and repaired our truck himself. Did I mention that someone in south Louisiana, where we live had (fixed) this same problem three weeks ago? We highly recommend Davis Automotive because of the service and kindness that was shown to us.

Dont stand behind his work, fixed my vehicle and broke down same day and was told they couldnt warrenty part or give me a refund, spent 1000 bucks to fix their crappy parts and to be told they left bolts loose and what they fixed wasnt even my issue, they are a scam avoid at all cost. Didnt even offer to tow me in and they own a towing company.

On Aug 17, 2017 I was driving from Columbia, MO to Colorado Springs, CO. At around 3 pm a MAJOR Hail Storm hit and lasted for about 20 minutes with golf ball to baseball size hail hitting continuously! My car and approx. 30 - 40 other cars were completely totaled. The Guys at Davis Auto were instantly in action to get all of our cars safely towed off the highway into a gas station parking lot. They then lined them all up there, told all of us owners what was going on and provided us a shuttle ride from Wakeeney, KS to Hays, told us which hotels were good and suggested we call rental car agencys immediately. They were great to keep me informed of what was happening with my car. These guys were not only professional but they actually took the time to care for the people as well as the cars! I own a Auto Repair Shop and had a customer of Davis Automotive break down after they just fixed the alternator the same day. I had them towed into my shop and called Davis Automotive and got a call center twice. They promised to return my calls to find out where the parts came from so I could warranty them out, that never happened. Fineally after many attempts of calling got the mechanic and he advised me where they buy there remanufactured parts that the is no store close to my shop, so I asked if I could give them the old alternator back and put a new quality part on and they said they wouldnt cover ticket to do this. I asked for owners number and they wouldnt provide it. Now the customer is not only out the 611.12 but also a tow bill 300 and another 600 for fixing it right, not to mention thanks for the Mac Tools your guys left behind and not to mention he didnt tighten the bolts, was not impressed with your work or ability to help customer out. I would have towed them back and fixed it right but that wasnt the case. I am sure u will just post a reply thats on all the other reviews that they dont show up in your system. FYI its a Ford escape and anyone can reply to me with copy of their ticket from Davis and pictures.

Avoid at all costs. Tried taking advantage of me while having car trouble on a cross country road trip. I had transmission issues. They tried telling me I need to spend $5k on a new tranny and that mine wouldnt make the 4 hour drive to Denver. I trusted my gut to call someone else and spent $200 getting my tranny flushed. I made it all the way to California through the Rocky Mountains and deserts with no issues. These guys are nothing but crooks!!!

This company worked on a car. People left Hays didn’t even make it to Salina. Same problem. I towed them to Keith’s truck and auto. Davis would not even help get the parts warranty for These people. It was a joke. Stay far away from these people.

Quoted $200 for front brake service. Day later they called me and told me they broke a bolt off in one of my calipers. Total ended up being over $600. Essentially they broke my car and charged me to fix it. I really should have sued them. Beware.

Very very poor service; lied to by them numerous times. Random parts were put on my car and called fixed. I had to take them to small claims court due to incompetent work for simple front strut replacement and won the case (Ellis case # 2016SC8). Honestly, do not trust these people...please beware of this shop.

Quick service and it was done well

I havent liked anything about my service. I have tried calling and checking on my vehicle and when I do they tell me that if we call or go in to check on it they will stop working on it and go work on someone elses vehicle. When I went to check on it my vehicle was parked outside with the windows down. Then they tell me I would have it back at a certain day then it takes longer. I went to see if it was still being repaired and the shop was locked, my vehicle was parked outside, unlocked with keys in it. I know for a fact the shop wouldnt leave there doors unlocked so why treat a customers vehicle any different. If it wouldnt be for the warranty then I wouldnt ever taken it there and wont go back in the future. If you dont care about your vehicle or having crappy customer service then you can take it to them. But if want a great mechanic that you can call as many times as you want or check on your vehicle anytime you want Best Radiator and Car truck and Alignment is the place to go.Well my vehicle is now at a better mechanic shop called Augies Repait. My vehicle was sitting at Davis for a week and nothing has been done. I called and was on the phone with Augies and are already getting the vehicle fixed and I can call anytime I want to check on it. Thanks Davis for not fixing my vehicle cause now it went to an actual mechanic.
