Reserved a truck, went 15 minutes to pick up and they couldnt give me a truck because the manager had other plans with the truck

Dont even bother with this place. I reserved a cargo van two months ago for mid-November and I got a call yesterday saying all their trucks are overbooked due to the on-demand delivery companies leasing every single van they have. Contacted Budgets corporate line for help, never received a call back. Thanks for adding a tremendous amount of stress to my move !

100% allowed rental reservations for a one way rental on a 26 ft. Truck but the story changed when we went to pick it up. Drove the truck 95 miles to destination and had to drive it 95 miles back. Twice as much fuel. ($74) We told them we can only return it Sunday after 2pm. They fail to mention they close at 12 on Sunday.... At least the manager was nice. I recommend getting the insurance.

We ordered a truck for a one way they approved it and then they called me 40 minutes before I am to pick it up saying they can’t give me the truck! I am furious!!! I drove over 90 miles for this truck for nothing!! Do not order trucks from this location they don’t have what they offer you! Update! They charged me a $75 cancel fee can you believe it! Do not support this place ever!! Go to uhaul!

Check the fine print because a reservation does not mean they will give you a truck - even when they have one sitting right there in the lot. Instead they prioritize contingency truck for their corporate clients. They should rebranded to “Leftovers Unavailable” for individual renters. They have very misleading terms and certainly nothing you can really plan around.

I rated a four because they didn’t have available the vehicle I rented and because this location does not accept cash for truck rentals.I ended up renting a cargo van instead of a 12’ truck which turned out to be great. I’m happy that they didn’t have the truck I rented, BUT they should have had it nonetheless.

Had a reservation for a truck - their corporate office canceled my reservation (morning of) and didn’t notify anyone. Wouldn’t/couldn’t reinstate the reservation for some reason or tent me the truck I reserved despite the fact that they had one sitting in their lot. Wasted over an hour as the Local office tried to get a hold of someone in their corporate office to respond.

Very nice and pleasant. Also a smart way to avoid the airport rush. Hawthorne is hardly a couple of miles

The other namebrand mover didnt have any trucks available but Budget was able to help me out. Quick, fast and professional service. I would rent here again.

Good pricing for the bigger size truck

Was given our rental. Less than a few blocks down called to let them know the car was shaking during acceleration. Was told it was normal and I just needed to get used to it, hours later had to return to a different Budget location where they tested it and immediately knew something was wrong.
