Ive had 2 packages stollen from there. I know for a fact that one was an employee because it happened while the package was there. Dont trust this post office for anything. they are thieves. Also, for whatever reason they just stopped delivering my mail and its been over 2 weeks! What? its MAIL, I need that. How do they get away with this stuff?

Refuse to answer their phones (number is off of usps website. ) Ive called half a dozen times. Ive had a package go from the hawthorne post office to LA distribution center and back 3 times. I get my mail, my package is small, so whats so hard about delivering my package? Im irrate, as Im waiting for a truly prized (to me,) collectible and rare lighter. If they do not deliver, i will not have another chance at this. Do your jobs and deliver mine and everyone elses packages. You work a government, pensioned, retirement fund matched no experience needed career. Your life is not that bad and job is not that hard. Shape up.

Let me start of by saying that the mail person we have is kind. The people delivering are friendly and great to talk to; however, the people at the window in the office...Employees like the ones that work at the window are the reason people dont want to save the USPS. And... they shouldnt, so that these rude, unprofessional, lazy, and hard-headed employees can be out of jobs. They act like I overgrown toodlers who think the world owes them something. The only difference is toddlers are actually better mannered and speak more clearly. We would gladly take your jobs post pandemic, or just not fight so the whole system gets privatized. Youre not worth fighting for.

If I could give them zero starts I would. Walked in today Tuesday, February 23rd 2021 at 905am. There was no one in line. When the 1st female called me to her window I asked her what was the best way/method to ship the item I had in hand. She sent me to get a bubbled envelope. Confused about whether I should just use a priority flat box to ship I get back in line and this time the 2nd female calls me to her window. As I am asking her what the difference is between both the box and bubbled envelope she begins to tell me they cant guarantee delivery dates.i wasnt even asking for that. Anyways as I am still trying to ask my question she begins to shout next in line. This location has the worst customer service. This is not the first time. The two ladies seemed like they just didnt want to be there. Sad they had such a poor attitude when they had just opened.

Mail Delivery person Horrible, They left my Order outside my door after I specifically said Please Knock on the door, Dont leave item/packages, unfortunately they didnt follow the mailing instructions asked for by customer, and now Im suffering a loss on my Package which was almost $80 online purchaseNow mind you I stay on Figueroa St and 110th its real rough and rowdy over here folks will steal in a heartbeat over here, and thats why I asked simply to please dont leave my Packages or Deliveries outside just laying there. I was contacted February 18 th by a Hawthorne postal worker I was told my building is not receiving mail, I was told to come to the Hawthorne post office by 9 am because the postal worker leaves out by 9:30 when I arrived to the post office there was a line of 4 people including myself in total the postal workers took their time to open up the windows and let people begin to process their packages or mail. When I approached the window the postal worker a black lady with short hair older woman I believe her name was patrica was rude beyond rude she was mad because I got a call and was told to come to the office to pick up my mail and she did not know who it was I did not know either the lady I spoke with on the phone did not give me her name I was told by the postal worker that are you sure you understand ?? And told that I would have to wait until 10:30 to speak with anyone even a supervisor this location is horrible and was not prepared to start servicing customers today !!!!

I worked here. The supervisors here are rude horrible people. They dont deserve to be supervisors. The workers throw the mail/packages without no care at all. Mail and packages are thrown to the wrong destinations so expect your delivery to go missing for a long time or never delivered to you. Being part of the federal government, the USPS is one the most disorganized work environments.

Just a heads up the carriers are lying about delivering packages. I’ve watched a few drivers park and drive past then I receive a notification saying “attempted delivery”.... tonight I received notice my package was delivered at 7:30pm, the mailman didn’t get here until 9:30pm......

This post office is stealing mail. Much mail theft by the Postal Employees. They have supposedly lost my packages multiple times. I have to fight with merchants for refunds due to this post office stealing mail & packages. horrible, rude, & beyond ghetto customer service. Post office is dirty and nasty. Parking is bad. I stopped going to this post office altogether. I wish my mail was not delivered by this sorry a&& post office. I have made several complaints and received no help. Currently has to open a formal case with the BBB. I will sue this place if I have to.

I mailed 4 cards there on Sunday, July 5, 2020 to people who live in LosAngeles. Local mail usually takes 2 days to be delivered. As of today, Thursday, June 9, 2020, neither person has received his/her card. I am TRULY hoping that they receive the cards I trusted in the hands of USPS.

I mailed a package on May 26, 2020 to a Hawthorne California address and on May 27, 2020 realized I was being a victim of fraud. I successfully intercepted the package on May 29, 2020 and to date July 24, 2020, I have not received my package. The tracking information is not updated and the post office employees seem like they want to help but no one can provide me with the updated status of my package. Where is my package? I am in Miami, Florida, this is a domestic package, why would it take 2 months to receive a package. There is obviously something wrong in this postal office. Someone please do something.

DO NOT USE DROP OFF BIN FOR PACKAGES. SCAN ALL IN. I had two packages with insurance that I put through the deposit bin (the one you open and close). Few days later the tracking # still shows not scanned by USPS. Went in and asked what happened and they basically told me I should’ve waited in line and had it scanned. Both packages were easily worth 400 bucks and now it’s lost. I can’t even file a claim because I don’t have proof that USPS even scanned it in

The people working at this post office are very rude and unfriendly. Packages delivered by them never get to your place and they are always saying no one was home. Don’t use the post office for anything, they are worst than the DMV that is not saying much.

Passport - made appointment for 10:15. Showed up 10 minutes early as they demanded. They told me to wait in line. At 10:25 I went to a window and asked what the hold up was; they said the passport person wont be in until 11. I asked why they didnt tell me that and if they expected me to just stand behind a red line on the floor for an hour and they said it was too long of a story to get into. I left. I hear the Inglewood Library is a good place to apply for passports.

My passport process experience was not as bad as the other reviews! As long as you have all the required documents and have everything filled out correctly it should be smooth. I had an appointment and while i was waiting in line an employee helped me double check everything to make sure i was ready to go. I appreciated that.The lady at the window was nice as well. You can tell she was a little irritated, which i can understand. But my husband cracked a joke and she laughed then she was much nicer. My husband and I tried to get a passport for my 17 month old at the Airport location and the lady who was taking pictures there was not patient with my baby and refused to take her picture because she was crying. The lady in this office was extremely patient she even let me take the picture! I wish i got her name but I’m so thankful for her.

This is the worst post office period... I’ve never felt so disrespected !! I go in to ask the post office if they could hold onto a package for me instead of delivering it to my house since I was going to be out of town when it was expected to arrive....so I just politely asked one of the employees, this older white lady with glasses I don’t know her name but she was so rude !! Like if you don’t like your job don’t take it out on the customers!!! She said sarcastically “I don’t know why don’t you ask someone else” “I don’t know what you’re asking me” and called the next person in line like what the hell ... simply a waste of my time. Love this Hawthorne location. I live in one area but I drive to this location to drop off my packages, Juan, Martha, Pat and another newly hired young lady are very courteous and helpful to me. Four stars because there is room for growth, especially for the front line supervisor. Juan Chavez is number one!

Just moved to this area. So far going to this post office the service has been great. You have to pick and choose your times that you go. My only complaint is the post office is very dirty. Filthy in fact. Old building...needs a facelift. I try my best not to touch the doors or anything in there.

Had a package that Amazon said it was delivered by the Post Office. Call and spoke with Kendra at the Hawthorne office. She took her time, did research on what happened, and let me know she will track down the package and call me back. Never been a huge fan of USPS, but Kendra has restored a little faith in them. I had a pleasant experience at this post office. I went on a Saturday morning but it wasnt too busy. The parking lot has a good amount of spaces (15-20) and it was only maybe 50% full.Inside the post office, there were only 2 people in line and 2-3 people working. As such, I was in and out pretty quick.

The mail carriers continuously misdeliver mail and packages in the apartment complex I live in and when this problem is reported, the customer service is absolutely abhorrent, useless and unhelpful. Ive had two packages delivered to wrong addresses over the past few months and USPS has done NOTHING to help. Both of them were items I bought off of eBay, and for anyone that doesnt know, the shipping label for each item you buy off eBay isnt manually inputted. The destination address for the buyer is automatically placed on the label by eBay. This has happened to me twice and USPS is definitely at fault. I opened claims, called various numbers, but NO ONE reached back to me. The straw that broke the camels back was that an employee at this location, the same person I spoke with over the phone the previous day, gave me a number to call that didnt even exist. Im never doing business here ever again.

If I could give negative stars I would. Delivery attempts are NOT made. I am by my door ALL day and I NEVER hear a knock. They just go straight to your mailbox and put that we missed you pink slip in your mailbox... IF yourre lucky. If the packages do get delivered, they are always delivered to the wrong mailbox. My neighbors receive my mail more than I do. Almost every package I get, this happens. This place is the worst. Everything you dont want at a post office is here.

Terrible. I had a package that was supposed to have been delivered yesterday, and yet its after 5pm now and I still dont have it. The manager at the post office, claims its not there, and the carrier I talked to today just said the normal package guy handed him two packages, but none of them is mine. This is not the first time this has happened, and I doubt it will be the last. Whoever has my book, clearly does not want me to have it.

Made an appointment for the passport center after asking Patricia if they would be processing passports on Friday before Veterans Day since they would be closed Saturday. She said yes, they process Mon-Fri. Made an appointment online for Friday and when we showed up they said they werent doing passports because the following day was a holiday. Awful service. Do not care about the customers. I hope you go through a different USPS branch or private service for any postal needs.

My experience with this post office every time I go there is awful. I opened a case on missing packages and got a call yesterday from Kendra Collins saying that they had them there. Tracking numbers weren’t updated, there was no notice left, and when I got there to pick up my packages they said they didn’t have them. So I’m guessing I’m starting the whole process over again.

Worst service I ever encountered. Too bad there are no half stars - so its one star. We had two bike boxes. They are big, but within the limits of USPS parcel service. We shipped them a dozen times in the last years and always with USPS. Three employees first tried to ignore us. When that didnt work anymore one of them said They are too big. I said No Madam, look here, these are the labels of the last USPS shipment. She said They dont fit on the scale. I said. They do, we did this a dozen times. She said I cant lift the box. I said Sure, thats why I lift the box on the scale. She said You cant come in here to lift the box on the scale. Well where there is no will, there is no way. Three employees glared at us for being so insistent. Dear USPS, you should fire such employees on the spot.By the way: we went to FedEx just round the corner and got great service with a very friendly employee. No wonder, this postal service had no helpful employees, they all work at FedEx.

I was in there early Saturday morning. A lady was there helping a customer. After the customer left I was next when she saw me she told me to wait cuz she had to count money it wasnt bz at all it was her n other women working at the time. The other women was nice and said she will help you with a smile . Other lady lady didnt acknowledge me whats so ever. I remain calm. Once she was done counting her money . I do have a billing address which is not Hawthorne but I have a shipping address which is the same one Im living in for the past 15 years FedEx and Ups and Amazon I never EVER have this issue with. I was expecting a package but when I checked my tracking number it said an attempt was made at 5:02am and a notice was left which was a blatant lie. I then check again and it reads an attempt was made at 5:31pm but my package was Undeliverable as Addressed (but everything on my order form was correct), so they were returning to sender. I tried to intercept that by calling Hawthorne USPS and was met with condescension and attitude from the woman who attended me. Fortunately the company I ordered from was very kind to send a new one but this time Ill have UPS hold it for me instead of transferring it to the incompetent people at USPS for SurePost (a horrific program).

The employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. While I was confused, trying to explain my issue, they talked to me like I was stupid and incompetent. They kept sending me to another window, until I decided to ask the only good employee there. He was a Brazilian man. Very helpful. All the other old ladies should be fired for such poor service. If you dont want your day ruined by frustration and dont want to stay in that postal office for at least an hour and a half, not getting anywhere, take my advice and go to a different postal office
