Front desk is awesome but the bathrooms are not clean! Especially the showers, the tile has mold and the vents in the ceiling have to much debris on them it has fur. Please keep the same level of sanitation up inside the bathrooms as you do in the gym. I have called the front desk and talked to management about this and little has happened.I will add photos of this issue later if needed.Thank you

Great service. Everyone there is very nice , both the staff and the customers. The manager Terrance is great! If you need to talk to about membership try to get Terrance. Would get better score but the steam room and jacuzzi are out of service. Hopefully back working soon.

Gym isnt far but I only go if its someone elses idea. I went in today and was told I owe $19 and some change, I asked for what and the guy said it looks like I changed my membership and paid for only two weeks. I asked does it say I signed for any of that cus I didnt, he says no so I can go ahead in and come back after 11 so they a manager can figure it out. A few weeks ago they cancelled my membership even though it shows that I paid, then told me it was some mistake and theyd fix. I guess charging me phantom charges is the fix!? Outside of the staff clearly not being trained properly, the gym is never clean.Cancelling membership and going elsewhere, I dont want to deal with it anymore.

After the covid I was very happy with this gym. But now Im so disappointed because no more 24 hours open anymore I really miss it .

I went in to see how I can cancel my subscription, and the manager assisting me was a mess. He totally lacked professionalism. He had me wait while he walked someone outside giving them daps and hugs, then while he was supposed to be helping me he kept asking a girl sitting next to him for her instagram handle. Then as I was talking he kept interrupting and speaking over me. I wish I got his name, but he was a short, skinny dude with a lot of tattoos.

Customer service is horrible wanted to charge me an anual fee then a clean the equipement fee

Please do not go to this bank unless you want them constantly going into your card and charging you for things they dont specify and things not in the contract they need to insure that all 24 hour fitness is shut down good thing theres a lawsuit on them the employees are no help I hope they loose there job

I used to ride my bike 2.5 miles to this gym every day. I loved the gym. I knew where everything was. So sorry its closed. At Torrance del amo the staff treats me like a VIP. The staff from the Hawthorne gym that is. Leo is the man!

The door at the entrance has a sign stating masks are required indoors at all times. I wish staff here would enforce it though. There are too many people in there not wearing a mask at all, or wearing on their chin or under their nose. The only reason I come to this gym is because it’s very close to where I live.

My cell phone was stolen from right out my gym bag. When I was in the shower. In March of 2019 I was Surprise because it was 7 oclock in the morning. The gym was empty. And it was an old lady who stole it. I know because she was there the whole week. Walking around the locker Room doing nothing but looking and talking to people.

Only wish all my visible areas or potentials to touch my stuff were cleaned more often. If I drop my towel next to treadmill/any machine against wall, I couldnt possibly use that same towel anymore. This is the only 24 hour fitness gym I been to that I hate. The bathrooms are always dirty and missing toilet paper, the equipment is old and is always breaking down and it stays out of order for weeks and their electricity is always going. This gym really sucks.

Need updated machines. But you can get a good workout. Super busy around 8pm-10pm. A lot of people dont wipe the machines after. But get in and get out is best.

Chris North Jr. has really turned this place around compared to what it was years ago. This gym is super clean and all the exercise equipment works properly. Im very impressive with the changes made! Chris North Jr. is an outstanding person and also a true professional!!! He is talented and very good at his job! This is my favorite gym to go to in all of LA!!!

I got this to gym just to workout with a friend. It was too packed. There is not enough machines for everyone. Found my self standing around for a long time to get access to one. I tried different time and so forward no luck.Maybe its okay if you dont lift. Plenty of cardio machines but if you do plan on lifting then look elsewhere. Only have 1 power rack and 1 squat rack.

This isnt the worst gym Ive ever been to. But its not so far from the bottom. The bathroom usually smells and the floors are always wet and gross. But I attribute that more to the folks who choose to walk around butt naked from the shower and then towel off at the lockers.... just so they can be sure we can see their junk swinging around and ensure the floors are extra slippery. I hate the lockers here. However, they have a lot of equipment and those are generally in fair condition. Going when I go, most of the equipment I need is available and I dont have to wait too long. At the end of the day, I get the workout I want in the amount of time I have. I just wish the locker rooms werent so... gross.

Not too happy with this 24. Facility gets cleaned BUT the showers DEFINITELY don’t. I used the same shower for a week to see when it would get cleaned....I went to another gym before I could find out. I’ve had my lock cut from my locker by another gym member. Equipment used. BUT it gets the job done when needed. Has gotten better.

Very big and spacious gym with lots of parking.The first thing you notice is a security guard walking around patrolling the area yet there are numerous break ins into clients vehicles. I would guess at least 1-2 cars per week, since theres always glass on floor and new signs warning guests on premises.The restrooms (men) are disgusting. Urinals stink and toilets arent cleaned. Sink area has hairs everywhere and theres calcium and rust around the steel faucets. Mirrors are tagged on and full of water spots. And the smell is more of a sewer than a locker room on most occasions.Weight room is almost impossible to find a match on dumbbells and plates are scattered everywhere. Machines need maintenance badly and some of them restore.Cardio machines are the only piece of equipment this gym has that works and are kept in working order.Sauna/steam room could use a closure to clean deep into the cracks and get all the buildup out and make it smell good.

Often you will find the Jacuzzi nasty. A couple of elderly ladies actually will bath discreetly in the Jacuzzi and or Pool. Wash their hair in the steam room. Rinse in the pool or Jacuzzi.Bathroom often are without soap or toiletries. All the above has been brought to management attention. No Improvement in at least a year.

Came to this location and was satisfied on how they welcomed me and my boyfriend. Was helped by Eileen, very nice and welcoming. Definitely excited to be part of the club and look forward to finishing the year strong with 24hour fitness.

The worst gym ever I have very very bad experience with this gym specially this locationSince I started the membership the first day they told me you can go to any 24 fitness and locationAfter 11 months I found out I can’t go anyone else only this location one locationSo I called the gym to change my membership no problems they took 10$ from me the extra so I can go to all the locations but after one month I found out he took the 10$ for only one time so next time they embarrassed me because I said I did change it they saw a note that’s why they let me in the first time but that rude lady she didn’t let me in and she said I didn’t see no note but the guy said I did see the note I called like 10 times and they just talking no one helped me I wanted to cancel my membership I have to come in the morning but I work so i can’t go and I’m just paying all that time I went for 3 times in my life they don’t want to cancel or change or help me I still need help till now if I can’t go in the morning what’s going to happen? Who teaches you about customer service the worst customer service ever I only can help you in the morning at night no but we are open 24 hours it’s unbelievableI’m sorry but I’m seriously madI just want to change my membership so I can use all the locations that’s it

Decent gym , only complaint is that there is little to no cell phone coverage and reception in this area and oddly enough this gym has no wifi access

Super dirty

This gym is at best ok. You’ll be able to get a workout in no doubt but the weight are always disorganized, sometimes missing ! Restrooms are dirty. The members that come here are always hogging the machines.But again you’ll still be able to get your workout in.

Young lady at the front desk (gray sweater, 2 pony tails,black hair), just looked at us when we were trying to sign up. Then I asked if I could use the water fountain, she didnt allow me to use a freaking water fountain, visiting this gym for the first time was a big mistake. Im from Chicago and these people over here need to be more happy seems to me like people need to work on them selves. Im definitely NOT SIGNING UP.

This gym is actually a good gym to workout at. The staff is friendly and kind. I went to check out other 24 hour fitness gyms and they werent as welcoming as the staff at this gym. Im glad I chose this gym because I feel comfortable and confident. It has a lot of room inside the gym and thats my favorite part.

This 24 hour fitness has many kinds of machines. It has a pool and sauna. Very complete gym. Sometimes, some resistance machines are missing pins.

This place is improving! There used to be trash on the machines and on the floor but theres this short latin lady that cleans and leaves spotless! Not to sound racist and please forgive me if I do but it looks like the Latin staff they hired are really getting the work done better then the rest! Other staff should learn from them!!! These 4 stars are for the Latin staff congrats! But the other star if for the rest of the staff sorry guys...

Im from L.A. Its as in perfect as I am Accustom too. Different ethnicities working out together. There not to strict at night. They only got 1 guy working. I love this gym.

Terrible gym, old machines. Too many people misusing weights. Dirty changing area.

Place can use better cleaning. Machines are outdated for the most part. Its a gym however, things arent going to be sparkling clean every time. Locker room definetely not the greatest. Staff is friendly upon entry, they always greet. Members dont know how to re rank weights. You have to go around looking for everything.

Three posts cause of depended on just the employees, Id give a 5 star. Lately, the new cleaners are very rude. Its their cleaning over workout. Working out on the gym floor and the cleaner just mops close me brushing my shoes with the mop and if I hadnt moved dont know if she would have continued. No apologies, no acknowledgement. Then the cleanliness of the restrooms is something else. Make changes leadership. Take it seriously

Here is a list of reasons to not go:-Other members do not care about re-racking weights and staff does not take any action.-Members constantly slam and throw weights, staff takes no action.-Other members do not wipe sweat off of machines after use, staff takes no action.-Men’s locker room is disgusting, always covered in puddles of water, dirt and grime is everywhere.-Out of shape personal trainers-Equipment is constantly found broken, usually something new every week, takes several months to get fixed if at all.-Music is awfulDo yourself a favor and do not purchase a membership here, literally ANYWHERE else is better than here.

I’ve never really had an issues here however this place is filthy . Women’s toilets are always clogged, tissue all over the gym, rust on the machines or machines don’t work at all. God forbid there’s an emergency because there’s so cell service and they don’t even have WiFi . They should shut the place down an renovate

Needs work in terms of organization or cleanliness, as well as broken equipment, (but broken equipment is so consistent over all 24 hour fitness gyms....that Im just going to assume its out of management control and not affect my rating- yes thats your rep 24 hr lol) but team members are always friendly and they try. This is the worse 24/7 I have been, always is dirty, showers has mould they only sweep the floor. They must disinfect with bleach one a week, sauna is the same walls are dirty too, restrooms stinks . I go there because is close from home , some times I had gone different place which are super clean not like this🤢🤢

Good to loose weight. All the cable machines , you have to become a puzzle solver by searching each machine to replace. Totally killed my experience. All that searched 10 until finally I discovered the pins were not compadable with the machine I used.Bathrooms are unsanitary did not want my feet to touch the wet ground. Plus I got athletes foot from there too.

Used to be a great gym. But, other than the treadmills and stairmasters, it is run down. The free weights are rarely racked making it extremely hard to find. One of the universal gyms pull down apparatus has been inoperative for weeks if not months. Their are pins missing from some of the other gym equipment. I have seen people bring in their own gym equipment to make up for the inadequacies. The gym needs better management and a complete makeover. Otherwise they will be out of business in 6-12 months once Planet Fitness opens up.

Worst gym Ive been to in awhile. Rude employees, broken equipment, dirty disgusting facility. Broken pool, spa, steam, and sauna for a month! Says its a super sport online but have no towels. They NEED to change that online fast because this gym is pretty much as far as u can get from a super sport!! Didnt even workout it was so bad, which has never happened to me before, just had to walk out and find another gym. They either need to get it together or shut it down!

Nastiest gym i have ever been to. Lots of lighter weights are missing so you cannot lift consistently. Always packed, pully handle broke in the middle of working out. Extremely dangerous. Used needles on locker room floor.

My primary focus is cardio and I really enjoy the StairMaster, the revolving stairs. The StairMaster is always in need of repairs. Two machines broken even three broken every single time I go there! Its a huge inconvenience if you want to get in and out because you have to wait for someone to finish up their workout. The staff is jaded, seemingly could care less with not much to offer of any assistance other than were waiting on maintenance to repair it which doesnt happen. The mens locker room is atrocious with most of the faucets having broken knobs uneven water pressure and some of the sinks the water pressure trickles out. The shower area is worse often with debris on the floor, broken knobs uneven water pressure. The restroom area oftentimes doesnt have toilet paper , nor seat covers trash on the floors. What a disgrace and horrid experience to be in that locker room. Completely unacceptable and complaints, curies falls on deaf ears! 120th st location Hawthorne California stay away from it!!! GRADE F!!!!

Wow. I workout at this 24 regularly and I have yet to experience the nasty environment that is being described. The staff is great, the machines work well and lately theyve been replacing inadequate machines. Ive actually been working out at this 24 for about a year and I have no complaints and trust me I there were something to dislike or some nastiness going on I would be agreeing with the bad reviews but in my experience that is not the case. I would have to say to people reading the reviews go for yourself and be your own judge because to me, this place is great and its not the closest 24 to my house, its just the one that I prefer.

Needs new management...Staff too lazy to rack weights or clean up equipment.TV remotes dont properly work.Machines take too long to fix and elliptical machines need adjustments and tune ups.Cleaning crew will kick u out of aerobics studio for no apparent reason. Im glad they clean it but that does not necessarily mean that I cant use it after it is clean. This is the only gym I have been to where they wont let the members use the aerobics studio for personal use.

This gym really smells bad. Like a dirty city bus. its bad man. Its a large facility. Plenty of weights and machines. But boy, it reeks! Ive been to many other 24s, this one needs a serious wipe down.

Near my residence however, people are getting bad habits. They take over 3 workout stations thinking they own this place.

I think that also for what you pay you should keep the bathrooms clean, as an observation the gym should have its rules that nobody can be exercising in sandals should be more strict

I hate giving negative reviews but Ive given this place a long time to change some of the problems after speaking with management and there has been no changes. Leaking faucets and non working faucets in the mens restroom have been the same for at least 5 months from my knowledge. Restrooms in general are never clean.Equipment throughout the building takes easily over a month or two before it can be repaired when not working. The staff is good at making sure you put down your number right before walking in but hesitates to help if you ask for sanitizer to clean up some of the machines. The list can go on and on but I think the only reason that this gym is in business is because of its location. Its convenient for a lot of people that Ive spoken to. If you can go somewhere else, it would be wise. If not then good luck.

This location does not seem to keep up with the maintenance on the machines. Some treadmills start to skip after you put it above 6.5 or so. Free weights are usually scattered around the 2nd floor. At time the bench press bars are missing from the incline, decline, and flat benches so you may have to search for them or wait for someone to return it. You may also want to take two towels, the paper towel dispenser is rarely filled, along with sanitizer spray being empty. All in all there are a lot of minor issues that sum up to larger problems, all are avoidable but I guess it cuts to much into the bottom line to make an effort.

Nice all rounder for recreation. In dire need of new equipment. Environment (mens changing room) needs a complete overhaul

The Sauna and Steam room will be shut down for 50% of the year. They do this to cut costs. So while you pay full price... The same as every other member in the U.S., they feel the need to only have their equipment work half of the time. The way I see it... My membership dues should be half off too. The worst part is because its located in our community, they expect us all to just remain quiet and put up with this deplorable quality of service. Corporate needs to just shut this location down until they find a manager who can run the club ethically.

In the past couple month they have really stepped up their game here. I come mainly at nights and would always see one guy struggling to clean.. now i see at least 5 or 6 people cleaning.. finally they stopped being cheap.

I dont know where all the bad reviews come from, but I have been to this gym during the week in the am, and had no problems with any of the machines, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, etc. Just take the gym for what it is; come in, do your workout, and leave. I had no issue with cleanliness or customer service issues. I love this one way better than the one on la cienega and slauson.

There are very little weights to go on the bars: literally one set of 5’s, two sets of 10’s, zero 2.5 weights. The equipment are raggedy. I went to 4 treadmills before finding a working one. Today is my last visit here.

OMG where to start, first day they couldnt get me in the system, seems running the computer there is really hard so that took about 3 weeks! Then the staff there is horrible. All they doo is talk to girls while the weights are never EVER racked and the entire gym is in disarray. Then the people who go there have ZERO gym edict and just leave weights EVERYWHERE (good luck finding them).... lastly they called me 1 month into it saying I owed them money for canceling my membership which I didnt....total $#!Thole!!!!!!!

Ludicrous. More than half the equipment has broken signs. And the other half still works funny. Instead of opening new clubs (per the chairmans cheerful holiday email) they should strengthen the experience in the ones that are already frequented.

Wow never seen a gym with really old machines.. the cardio ones are up to date.. but then again.. sauna is always closed.. and the water fountains are broken.. lol..

Thier cleanliness is so awful I guess thats what the 24hrs mean that they clean every 24hrs. They have so many staff to sell you a membership or train you as well as front desk help. But when it comes to cleaning ppl. I guess its a coin flip.

Weight room is always in disarray. Plates scattered on the floor and the staff do nothing to enforce good gym behavior. This gym is close to my house but Id rather drive to a further location so I dont have to deal with all of the bs.

Dirty and run down. Most of the cardio equipment is broken and not well maintained. The weight equipment upstairs usually does not have all the pieces needed to work or is just flat out broken. Every is dirty and sweaty, dont think they ever clean. TVs either dont work (one was frozen on an image for at least two weeks before someone fixed it) or are discolored (a set of LEDs are broken so it looks pink or green tented). The staff very clearly dont care and are poorly trained. They didnt know how to get a document signed and it took three visits for them to finally figure it out. I would go somewhere else but this is the only gym close enough to make sense. If you can, dont come here.

Warning , the one in Compton filthy dirty, after talking with them many times, they dont seem to care. I got a foot fungus there

Worst gym ever!1. Staff is terrible. Been going for 6 months now and not one person has ever said have a nice workout nor on the way out do they say have a nice day. Its as if they look away if they think there might be a chance they might have to say something polite.2. The equipment is pathetic. Where there are suppose to be grips on bars its just the bar. I once saw a cup of coffee by the cables for one week straight! If something is out of order you best believe it wont be fixed for awhile. So many machines are missing pins where you insert in-between weights.3. For morning/ daytime downstairs they have on jerry springer and upstairs they have on BET .... Smh...Someone SERIOUSLY needs to give this place attention. Its terrible.
