Highly recommend Morenos as now my engine will be fine.....with AC too

Hector Moreno did an amazing job flushing out my radiator and filling it with his special coolant. I quote special because his glows! My car has been working great since I took it to him and he has a great tool to flush with water pressure at 150 PSi. This is the reason why I did not give him one star. He charges $125 for this service FYI.I visited him today to see if he could fit me in to put an oil pan gasket on with an oil change. I, then, further asked if he could run a scanner to check my engine light. This is suppose to be a Radiator/Auto Repair shop and he said he didnt have a scanner! WOW, okay so working with what I got, I had to find the picture that I took from the last time it was scanned to give him the diagnosis code. Some other dude who Ive never seen before starts speaking business and talking numbers about what itll take to fix my P0401 code. Everything he says sounds like blah blah blah you dont need a part but itll cost you $500 to clean the hoses that have corrosion in it. Im dumbfounded at these numbers and his explanation that even hours later I still dont understand what he meant probably because he was lying. So I asked for a whole quote including and the oil pan gasket replacement (a part I already am providing) with an oil change and Hector says all together itll cost me $900! He also said that itll take two hours to change the oil pan gasket and oil change alone which I know only take no less than 45 mins because with the right tools I could do it myself!What this whole review comes down to is the fact that this business, according to Hector Moreno, has been going for 38 years. I am a woman and let me make this clear, I always encounter mechanics ready to exploit me and charge me up the butt thinking I dont know a thing about cars. You will not find community in this business because you will be taken advantage of. In a time where community is so important and most of us are struggling financially, Im amazed at how people still have the same mentality during the pandemic as they did before it occurred. Apparently a pandemic isnt enough to make people find the goodness in their hearts to build a strong relationship with one another and help each other out. What is more important, taking advantage of people or building strong customer relationships that turn into loyal customers? Thankfully, Im a loyal customer to another mechanic I just like to shop around and find good people.

Frustrated, I called and said I need a heater core fixed, he said sire bring it down, same with my radiator.. he looked and got on his computer, he says $120 or so for the radiator, I can order online for $85.. he then starts calling around about my heater core... I know they arent stocked anywhere.. he calls and calls.. then says I cant find a heater core...FML.. do you realize it was 3 hrs tearing the dash apart to get at the heater core... only reason I pulled it out, he said I can repair it...I wouldnt send anyone here...
