I highly recommend Comfort By Design. They are great! We have an enclosed porch we wanted to enjoy through the winter. (It gets very cold in there) We decided to go with Comfort By Design because wed heard about their fireplace services and their technicians were great at installation.Aaron came out to our house and gave us a great estimate on a small stove. The selection of stoves was great, as well as the prices. We decided to go with a smaller unit because the porch is on the smaller side and the units seemed like they could heat the space well. Even the smaller units.The stove was delivered two weeks later and the service guys who installed it did a great job. They were courteous, knowledgeable and fast about their work. We love this new stove so much, and were so excited to make full use of our porch even in the middle of a Minnesota winter!My wife has since decided to work out there instead of at the kitchen table. (Were both working from home these days). I highly recommend Comfort By Design, soup to nuts, theyre a great crew to work with.

Lots of issues with them....they made good on the first which was giving me a different remote than what was promised but I’ve kept saying that it smells like exhaust when it runs and also there is super cold air POURING into my house from the fireplace and come to find out it wasn’t installed properly. They had a guy come out but he said it just needs more run time. Their people never rerun my calls it’s like I have to call three times and be mean to get them to even call me back. This fireplace is dangerous to operate so I will need to just pay for another company to come install it correctly I guess since I can’t get them out under warranty to fix it

The gentleman in the actual store was very helpful when we were looking to install a wood burning stove. However, after making an appointment with the consultant to look at our house for installation, he cancelled the day of due to an emergency for another customer. My husband and I were understanding. We called back to make another appointment multiple times and never heard back. Very disappointing.

Comfort by Design has done 3 projects for us in the past 2 years-- a gas fireplace insert, a humidifier and a garage space heater. All were done promptly, professionally and at a fair price. We had one minor problem with the garage heater not igniting several months after the original installation, and a service person came within 2 hours of my call and adjusted/repaired it at no charge. Great people to work with. Highly recommended.

Needed a Heat-n-Glo gas fireplace fixed. The tech came out, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in short order. Very efficient work, no up-charging or sales pitch for other services, just did the work at a fair price and that was that. Would hire them again no problem, or buy new one from them if need be. We have an old house with radiators and had a relatively new boiler that was nothing but trouble. Bill came out and looked at it and gave us estimates for either redoing the venting (which ran under the deck) or replacing the boiler and the water heater as well. He told us why not replacing the water heater now could cost us $1,100 in a chimney liner later. We had two other bids before our boiler committed suicide on one of the coldest days of the year. Since Comfort by Design gave us the best bid and the most satisfactory solution (moving the boiler) we called them. Bill dropped off a space heater. The men who installed our new system came from the Ellsworth location and did an excellent and thorough job in a short time. Our house is toasty now and much more energy efficient. We highly recommend Comfort by Design.

We had purchased a very high quality gas fireplace from a company in Minnesota. In the first year we struggled to use it as it continually would not ignite. We contacted the store in which we purchased the stove three different times but were always told that their maintenance person was scheduled out a month. Tired of waiting we contacted Comfort By Design in Osceola and they were able to send a technician the next day! Our fireplace is running great and we are finally able to enjoy it.We had a great experience with our local branch and their technician was great to work with! If we ever have another issue our only contact will be with CBD!!!

Justin came out to our place and fixed the a/c unit. Unknowingly to us, the company that installed it used some incorrect parts which caused the unit to malfunction. They were here on time, very personable, and knew exactly how to get everything working the right way.

Justin was on time, knowledgeable and personable. He spoke highly of his employer which is rare in todays world! He explained everything he was doing with my heatilator, patiently taking the time to also show me how it works, how to light the pilot, etc. He cleaned all the parts and glass, including cleaning up nicely after himself. Love the fan he suggested and installed to help me take advantage of the heat that is generated by the heatilator in the colder months. Justin at Comfort By Design is my first call for any and all HVAC issues!

We needed a repair to a punctured 7/8 air conditioning suction line and the guy put in a piece of 3/4 pipe as the repair section, stating that he didnt have any 7/8 pipe with him. Seems like there is an awful lot of debate on the internet about the correct size for suction line, so it is a critical thing. Now that the refrigerant is in the system, it would be very expensive to re-fix it. Not happy. How long does it take to run to home depot and get a 1 foot piece of copper pipe?
