The customer service here was excellent. The person who assisted us was professional and courteous. The vehicle was immaculate and we had no problems. We were able to drop the vehicle off at a U-Haul near our destination and that also went smoothly. Im always leery about these kinds of services, but my experience was great and I would rent from them again.

Yesterday I requested services from this company, to carry my furniture, 2 employees who were doing work left my sofa in the trash claiming they were tired and that the sofa was heavy, it hurt me a lot to see my sofa in the trash because two lazy people didnt want to carry it she came to my apartment. after I have paid for the full service. They did this because they realized that I didnt speak English perfectly. regardless of language I think people should simply focus more on their work. because the fact that Im not from here doesnt give people the right to think they should humiliate us by doing us an incomplete job. Im going to take the photos and video of my sofa in the trash where they left it and Im going to sue this company. this happens exactly at the uhaul of capitol av 755, at the 4pm loading.

It took over 30 minutes to get a truck I had reserved online with all my information, drivers license, blankets hand truck— which I had to do all over again at the pick up desk. When returning the truck there were at least a dozen trucks waiting to be returned. After 20 minutes with no one coming over to accept the return I went into the office slammed the key on the counter and said never again. This franchise is from hell.

Took 30 minutes to Checkout, because of many employees but only one window open. The guy behind the counter was texting throughout.Then on truck return the UHaul website was down and despite 4 lengthy phone calls (the location itself does not take calls) they never took a $20 penalty and $8 mileage miscalculation off. I called my bank and reported it.Never use this location. They are lazy, rude, dishonest.

Very very very disappointed. Super long wait, anytime you go here youll see. Was told my drivers license was CRACKED so he couldnt rent the truck with the reservation.

Horribly understaffed. Reserved a truck ahead of time thinking I’d be in and out, ended up waiting an hour in line for people to rent storage units and for someone to move a truck that was parked in front of mine.

The service was quick, polite and efficient. The van I rented was very clean and all of the small dings were properly documented before I left the lot. Id rent there again.

I have been there for 6years, an it get worse changed twice for different storage, rat infestation, had call ins to get money back on stuff that was damage, the company need to clean up an redo the building but they keep raising to price of the storage

Worst service. Wish I could give them zero stars. They charged me extra and beware of this store. They were not ready to serve the customer. First of all there was no one in counter for 10 mins and next they charged more on my card without any prior notification. When I called they were asking me to read contract and the store manager is not ready to listen and impolitely stating that he can’t give back my money.very rude customer service. I never go back to this store again.

Lack of responsibility to customers, I made an appointment two weeks before, directly at the store to install a hitch on my BMW, I lost a days work, to arrive on time, and the answer was that they didnt have the part to install on my car ! I am very sad :(

I had a problem at the East Hartford Darlin st location- made a reservation 3 days prior- went to pick it up and they said they had no idea what I was talking about, despite my proof and reservation number. Went over here and they were SOOOO nice, got me right into something equivalent, were very helpful. This is probably the best one in the area, so just go here.

I will NEVER RENT another storage unit from them ever again. The storage unit became infested with rats and roaches, I loss everything Because of the rat droppings and roaches was climbing all through my stuff I did not bring them with me and I don’t want to take them with me. I also have pictures within all my stuff that was destroy. I paid for an insurance policy and never heard nothing back from the insurance company. There was even a dead rat in my unit, when the movers went to take the stuff out. Then they wanted me to pay for the unit still after. I told them about the unit being infested. They need to shut down. I wish I could post the pictures

I had a hitch and wiring installed by Julius and his crew in May 2015. I booked online and Julius called right away and suggested a better wire harness for my Honda. He was professional, took the time to explain everything and really honest. The hitch and wiring were done in a day -- as promised.I also rented a truck in 2014 from this location and found it very easy, straight forward and low key.

Needed a trailer hitch and didnt want to deal with the problems of a self install. Kevin and his team at U-Haul on Capital ave provided great customer service from the time I called to setup the appointment to when I left with my new hitch. All I wanted was the hitch, although they asked if I needed any of the other accessories, there was no pressure purchase.I would recommend this shop for any of your U-Haul needs.

Terrible experience with u-haul, they give a lot of promises which they have no intention to keep. If you book a (standard size) moving truck here, do not expect to pick it up at this location or any other nearby. Be prepared to drive up to 30min for them to have a truck available, and they wont let you know until the day before.

I wish I could give them no stars April is the worse store manager Ive ever met. Shes never in the store. I had a problem with a payment I made and made several attempts to get in contact with her. Did you think she bothered to call me back? No!!!! This store needs to be shut down asap. The lack of customer service is ridiculous.

Great service, friendly staff. I wish they didnt just run so quickly through the start up information. I ended up using my bank card for the rental and they took out a $250 hold for over a week. I rented a van for only ONE day so I was pretty pissed about that. Overall it was a good experience though. Way better than Manchester UHaul.

Pay close attention to your accounts when using debit or credit at this location, I used my card here for a rental and a week later someone tried to make a purchase at a Walmart in Hartford for $401.00 twice.And how do I know it was someone at this uhaul stealing card info, cause it’s the only time I’ve used my card in two years was at this uhaul location.

The best part about this place is the friendly people that work there. They get me in and out quickly, and theyre helpful if I have any questions.

I rent at U-haul locations all across the Northeast - these guys are great. They will go out of their way to make sure the equipment is right.As for what the other reviewer said - I think she got back what she gave.

Today I had a wonderful experience at the Hartford U-Haul. I needed a hitch they ordered it. They called today wanting to install it. KEVIN SKEETE was so accommodating. .....Assisting me in making the installation possible today. 2 Hours latter I received a call it was done. All were very friendly and customer service driven .......the workmanship was great ! I love the environment at this location. Again Kevin Skeete is an exceptional General Manager. Kudos to you!

The worst experience, as usual ever.I reserved a hand truck. After waiting in line 20 minutes while the brothers had personals conversations, I was greeted with yeah, what? The clerk was more concerned with the person conversation.She finally completed the transaction, and sent me on my way. However, I notice I had no hand truck. I returned to the store; stood another 20 minutes in line to learn we aint go no han trucks. But, I reserved one. well, wed dont had one. Wed can give gives you a utility for da same price, but its usually $10, not $7.The utility cart was heavier than the cargo!The WORST, typical for UHaul, experience ever.

Worst Uhaul experience ever. No understanding of customer service. Sent me out with a box truck that had a leaking battery! Needless to say, the truck broke down and had to wait hours for service to get moving again. Time they actually tried charging me for, imagine that, charging a customer time on a broken unmovable product. They should really review that policy. Great people. Helpful, courteous, and the place is really well stocked with supplies and trucks.

Went to buy shipping boxes. Surprised to see a rush and long wait to just buy boxes. If you are moving u haul does have the best rate for boxes.

Rude customer service and the workers are worse. DONT GO, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A MONTH LATER FOR WHO KNOWS WHAT it did I forget to mention they OVERCHARGE.

Always have inventory in hand and they honor the reservations unlike one in West Hartford. I had forgotten to return the dolly and they even let to keep it for 2 more days without charging anything extra..

Rented a utility dolly and it was thee worst experience ever. The general manager was very rude over the phone and in person. Upon returning the equipment I was told they have no evidence of such. The general manager yelled at me, talked to me like I was nothing and he even got physical with me and I had to call the cops. Now I know why they say never go to this one.If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and go to another company or a different U-Haul branch. You will be thankful to be saved from the drama, inconvenience of being charged multiple times and the time saved from a different company. U-Haul really should be shut down they give customers nothing but trouble. By the way corporate doesnt care you will have to contact lawyers if you want to get any resolution out of any problem these people give you.

I have rented uhauls for quite sometime, and I have never in my life have had such issues with a location. I work in customer service and I was fraudulently charged a second charge magically on my credit card statement for twice the amount as the first charge. Credit card company was called and I was informed that this is a typical practice of some of the locations and that it is fraud when they do so. I highly recommend using another company to avoid fraudulent changes. I am now in theprocess of fighting it out with Captiol ave andpossibly uhaul as a whole. By the way Uhaul customer service line seems to help this Uhaul location and many others get away with scamming and fraudulently charging their unknowing customers, I may even be looking into a lawsuit against Uhaul and after this incident I have found multiple reviews all over the internet about service issue and customer relation issues about Capitol Ave Uhaul and Uhaul as a general company. It seems like if Uhaul cared about their image or their reputation they would shut down this location or at least fire the entire staff for being unhelpful, rude liars who need to scam people for money due to their lowly nature.

Its almost always packed!! Employees act ghetto sometimes, and the girls have attitude problems.And dont be two to three days late on ur storage payment, cause they put a double lock on it, Id see if 10 days went by, but no.

U haul charged me twice 1st to rent I the truck. Now its Thursday and they took most of my check leaving me with $17 for the whole week. Now I am going to run out of cash and starve by the Sunday because of U Hails corporate greed. They full of gimmicks to get your card info then they will rape you for your money.

Been using Uhaul Storage Capital Ave for 10years. The manager Julius was the reason i continued to use Uhaul Storage Capital Ave.

Darnell the man at the Meriden store on South main Street recorded the wrong mileage and gave me a truck with no gas so when I got to the Hartford location it seemed as though I drove 225 miles they yelled and screamed at me and then charged me I never heard back from U-Haul and I never got my $65 back

U-Haul installed faulty wiring on my car that burned out my cars electronics. It cost almost $1,000 in total and they do not take responsibility for it! DO NOT buy anything from U-Haul and NEVER let them touch your car!

Called customer service regarding an accident involving a U-Haul vehicle.. 25 minutes on hold only to be put on hold again so they could find some one to give me the insurance information for their vehicle.. Finally just hung up.. Customer phone service at this location is terrible..
