Had a great pedicure this afternoon. The staff is very kind and attentive! Will be coming back!

If I could select 0 stars, I would. Called to make an appointment for 12:30 since I had to be somewhere for 2pm. They took my request over the phone. I showed up at 12:25, let them know my name and appointment time. They put me in the chair, did not fill it up. I sat there for about 15 minutes, then they started the water. Sat again for another 15 minutes and no one came to my chair. They went to others that were there. What is the point of taking an appointment time if you aren’t going to have someone to provide that service at that time? At 1pm, I grabbed my shoes and walked out. I’ve never been back and warn all of my friends. They talk you out of what you request to have done as well. Makes it easier on them of course. There are so many other places that are better.

If I could rate this a 0/5 I would. They tried to charge me and my friends twice the price of the original posted on their website. They charged my friend twice for long nails and an extra +30 for a design. The lady who did my nails was very rude and did not seemTo care if she did what we asked for.

I’ve been going to Luxurie Shade for years and it’s the best place in River Ridge. Very courteous and attentive. Especially love the pedicures and all the staff are extremely friendly.

Go at opening and there will be no issues. I feel like I booked the place just for myself because I’m usually the only one there for a while. I get simple mani and pedi so I can’t speak to their bedazzling techniques but the techs have excellent customer service. I feel pampered with every service and they remember what you like after weeks away from them.

It was my first time there and the experience was really nice. I had an appointment at 9 and it started the minute I walked in. The establishment was really clean and modern. The nail techs were super nice and offered refreshments. And of course my nails are waaay cute. Ill definitely be coming back

Henry was absolutely amazing! He gave me the look I always want but no one ever achieves. Will definitely be back!

Made an appointment online for 2 pedicures, that appointment time was not honored.I should have known when all appointment times were available, I even got a text reminder for my appointment, I guess I should have sent them a confirmation too.We were barely acknowledged when we arrived. They had us sit in the pedicure chairs but didnt tell us anything else, waited a full 15mins, didnt even fill the bowl with water so we could soak while waiting, we left without getting any services. Instead we found a much nicer place just up Jeff highway at Fleur de nails, who actually honored the appointment we set, just minutes prior.

This place is pretty good. Its more for feeling nice than for treatment. Like callus removal on feet....not so much. The polish lasted a really great length compared to other places. I didnt love that when our group walked in there was basically no greeting and no communication. We made an appointment for 6 people for a bridal party. We were told that could be accommodated. What they actually meant was two people at a time could go while the others waited. Meh. Its understandable and workable but it should have been explained up front.

The workers there were very rushy. I asked for coffin shape and got this. The lady also ignored me twice and lied about doing a design.

Man who did my nails was very rude and left my nails looking awful and even tipped himself on my credit card without my consent. DO NOT COME HERE

Loved the atmosphere of this place and love how they do a point system and you get so much off when reached. I feel that there are alot of workers so its not that long of a wait or they are already waiting for you. My new go to place from now on!

The staff is always friendly & accommodating. They take time perfecting a pedicure or a waxing.

Horrible experience….terrible service — spent 8 mins on pedicure and charged $37 for a deluxe pedicure — dip manicure was awful — nails uneven and entire experience was just bad

Great first time experience. Definitely a step up from my usual place in elmwood. The pricing is perfectly amazing! They don’t up charge like other places.

This place has done my powder dip manicure and spa pedicure better than any place I have been to in the NO area. The salon was spotless and beautiful. Everyone was extremely professional and took their time to make sure my services were perfect.

I got a pedicure and it was the best I’ve ever had I felt very good and relaxing and I look forward to coming back and doing it again thank you

I love Luxuries Shade. I always get in quickly, its very clean, they do more for the price than other salons. They also offer points and discounts.

My favorite place. will travel from lafayette once a month to get my nails done. I get the dip nails.... and they will last a good 1.5-2 months! the staff is amazing! LOVE THEM!

I have been to several nail salons since moving back to New Orleans and have not been satisfied. These people are the best at what they do. I dont think Ive ever been to a salon that has done better work in all of my adult life.Update: Aug 2020 . still love this salon. Courteous, kind, family oriented, and they make me feel important!

The atmosphere is the best nail salon in the area! The general atmosphere is both trendy and modern while the efficiency and undivided attention most of the staff is on you to make a relaxing time! Most importantly the interior is super clean. All of the top-line polishes and shiny new tools, wonderful and great experience!

MUST READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BRINGING YOUR CHILD HERE! DONT LET JENNY TOUCH YOUR CHILDS NAILS!I never right reviews. However, I felt the public should be aware of my experience especially if they are going to bring their child for the childrens pedicure. This was my first visit at this place, and I went because they have childrens pedicure chairs. I was bringing my little girl to get her nails done for the first time. This is how the visit went.- My daughter moved her toe and messed up the paint on one of her toenails. Jenny was visibly mad and was very short with my daughter.- I hadnt realized that earlier Jenny had cut my daughters cuticle, but when she was fixing the paint around the toe she put fingernail polish remover over the cut and my daughter burst into tears. I showed her the cut and told her that this is why my daughter was crying. To make it worse- she did it a second time even after I told her what happened.- there were several times where Jenny was very upset and talking very angrily to herself in another language, all while being very rough with my daughter.- I was told it would be 30 minutes, however my child had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes. Because the wait was longer than expected, I asked Jenny if she could do my daughters nails first. She said that it was her boss policy that the woman has to get their nails done before the child. I later talked with her boss, the manager- I believe his name was Thomas- and he said that this was not the case. That she can and should have done my daughters nails first.If you are going to offer kids pedicures, you should do just that. Jenny should not expect the child to know exactly what to do or to not move an inch. You should also be a little friendly and definitely not mean and rough - like Jenny. Because the situation kept getting worse and worse. I finally told Jenny that she was much too visibly upset to be touching my daughters nails and that I wanted her to stop. She through the towel down and stormed off.If this is something that happened to my, I would not be righting a review. But, for this to be a childs experience, that is unacceptable.

Usually a very pleasant place to go. Unless of course you walk in 30 mins before closing. At that point look forward to smart comments in native language, a few snickers, and also a couple of disguised frustrated hand slaps. I will not be giving anymore of my service based on the last time I went I was treated very rudely.

Selena was so sweet & I was so tired so I was relaxed. I only had time for a pedicure but needed a manicure really bad so she did great on both!

All Techs do a great job...very precise mani/pedis (they don’t use grater which is a plus) & they use quality products... polish, lotions, oils, scrubs). Very CLEAN updated salon with friendly, professional staff. I’ve been to many nail salons...This salon is hands down (consistently) the best.

Great job ! Nails always look great . I closed a door on my finger causing a nail to come off . 3 months later and it still looks awful . I finally went in to see what they could do . They added a tip to that nail and now you can’t even tell the nail is missing !
