I went to there nail shop on Monday for a full set and pedicure this is how it look now I asked could I get them repainted the last said my nails was dirty and it was not their fault it’s the color I choose then I asked could I just get a refund and never come back I was told that the manager was out of town to come back Thursday and they will see if I can get a refund mind you I paid 49 dollars for m’y nails and 57 dollars fir my pedicure what a waste

I have been to topcoat since it opened a few years back and have never had issues with the services and employees. The owners would always ask how I was doing and always made me feel welcomed. But today I was not too happy with my experience. I called yesterday to book an appointment for today at 4:30pm. Today came around and the weather got bad so I decided to see if I can move my appointment. I called and they put me down for tomorrow at 5:45 and not even 5 minutes later called back and told me that they made a mistake (that happens!) and that was not available. I told the lady on the phone that I would come if the weather was not bad at the time of my appointment. I show up and one of the nail techs greeted me while another nail tech was doing the receptionist nails. They sat me down right next to the nail tech and receptionist. Immediately after, the two nail techs and receptionist began whispering and I could hear them. From what I heard it was something along the lines of Nail Tech: did you know she was coming in here or did she tell you she cancelled? Receptionist: She told me over the phone she was cancelling and then one of the three said shh maybe realizing that I was sitting right there and could hear every word they said. My feelings were very hurt and I honestly didnt even feel welcomed anymore. I stayed and got my nails done and the nail tech asked me multiple times if I was okay and I figured maybe she could tell I was upset considering I was sitting right next to them while they were talking about me. To me, this is not right and if they wanted to talk about the misunderstanding to talk about it with me or wait until I left the salon.

I sent a request to schedule an appointment on Yelp and received a response within a few minutes. I scheduled my pedicure for 2 days out and was able to get my requested time of ‪4:00pm‬. There was no wait time when I arrived. This place is the epitome of good customer service. I was offered something to drink (multiple times) and cellphone charging (if I needed it).The shop is very modern and clean and I was glad to see the big, comfortable benches for the pedicures, as opposed to the chairs. At some places, the chairs aren’t big enough for my height. There was a vast selection of pedicures to choose from and it was tough making a decision lol. I went with the Orange Mango (I think that’s the name). It was niiiiice and fresh oranges were placed in the water. Also worth mentioning is that the foot tubs are huge! The lady that did my pedicure did an excellent job and I was very impressed. The price point was a tad bit higher than other options in the area, but I feel it was well worth it. I’m looking forward to returning!

So this was second experience with topcoat, my first experience was amazing, I got the orange mango pedicure about a week and a half ago and they did a wonderful job. I decided to let them have a chance to dip my nails as well when I normally go to another place on the West Bank. I personally like my dip thin, and I have a certain expectation of how they should be done and look more so if I’m going to spend $17 more dollars then I normally would at the place I normally go too. Well the guy doing them, I’m unsure of his name started to do them very thick, I told him from the beginning I like them very thin and I’m used to them looking almost like glass they are so perfect. Well I asked him to thin them out and he did, but they weren’t even. Some spots are thicker then others, it’s not smooth at all also the towel touched my hand when he moved it and dust particles got in the nail. He seen it and just kind of pushed it off and added another coat of clear which didn’t fix it. The guy left and didn’t come back, and the cashier checked me out. I didn’t say anything because I really don’t like to complain but once I got home my mom seen them and called and complained. She asked if we can just get a store credit since we love their pedicures but they said no to come get my money. Well when I went back I showed him the swirls and dust and how uneven it was and I was told “Well you should’ve said something before you left and not have your mother call and fuss at me.” I told them I don’t like to complain and get people in trouble but my mother was very disappointed in how terrible the nails came out. He then told me “Since we can’t make you happy go back to the place on the West Bank and we can no longer offer you any services since you can’t be happy.” I took my money and left. That is not how you treat a customer, more so when I loved the first experience and didn’t think the second was up to par. Very unprofessional way to handle this, didn’t offer to fix it and told me basically I’m not allowed back.

I was taken early, although I was 20 minutes early and was greeted promptly and offered a beverage. I was also asked mid-service if I needed a refill.I am a gel manicure girl and this was my 1st time trying dip. The owner answered my every question and even had my go to nail color, so I tried it in dip. I am pleasantly pleased at the durability and look of my nails. My pedicure was amazing! The pedicure stations are raised a bit and the chairs are gorgeous and super comfy. I think this was the best pedicure that I received, in my whole life. I did not have to go behind the staff and reshape. The whole ambiance of music and the vibe of the staff provided a great, relaxing experience. At first, I thought the staff was being super nice to me, because I was a new customer, but I noticed that the staff treated everyone super nice. Ample polish selection and even had Chanel polish. Fancy! I will definitely return.

Im totally upset and disappointed with this place, for a personal matter I couldnt show up to the appointment. Now I schedule again, the guy with any professional and poorly customer service just cancel my appointment.Clearly you dont need attract customers and take business.Your competitors just love what you did.I would never ever recommend this place.

Great lovely location, beautiful facility! It will continue to be my favorite go to for pedicures.I only give them 3 stars for now due to the lack of staff on the team, they are low staffed and only have one person on staff that can do DIP powder which makes scheduling an appointment very difficult. My advice is to plan ahead, it is 100% worth scheduling an appointment but downside is that it is difficult to reschedule DIP appointments.Again, great place and great quality EACH TIME. Recommend going but not without an appointment, and avoid HEAVY traffic times.

Workers here were very friendly and knew what they were doing. They fixed my acrylics that someone else from a different place had messed up, they will make u feel welcome. It’s very modern and clean there, a slight lemon scent filled the air. I had a great time there today.

Poor customer service.. Plus they dnt communicate well about prices and services and then i got acrylic nails asked for square and oval shape dint even gave the right shape to all my nails ( actually to none of it). I dnt really write bad review but my money was not worth i got. Also another customer was offered a drink let me guess that is not for all customers. And the guy who checked me out when i said no tip he dint asked me about the service but my “Nationality “ .

Horrible manners. Do not bother to walk in without an appointment. They will tell you to leave. I’ve never seen a nail salon so rude before. I will never spend a dime in that place nor will I recommend them. This will be known on every review site.

Terrible experience my nail broke they made them way too thin and they told me they couldnt do ombre because they didnt want to attract that crowd not sure what that means. my nails are all different shapes. just awful

I was visiting from Dallas and I needed a polish change and a refill, but no one there would know that because my friends and I weren’t even acknowledged when we walked in the door. We stood there for almost five minutes after a few of the employees glanced at us and continued working like we weren’t there. Hands down one of the most awful experiences, particularly for an out of state visitor. Is it hard to say “Hi Ladies, someone will be right with you.”
