I recently brought in a family heirloom - an antique ring passed down from my grandmother, that had lost a stone and had worn down prongs. I was nervous by fixing it, it would never look the same. The Von Bargens team expertly fixed it so it looks absolutely perfect. You would never know. I would trust them to handle any complex restoration and of course they also have beautiful new jewelry. I highly recommend Von Bargens - I went in with a box full of various size gems taken from a number of old settings over the years (grandmothers, etc). I wanted to make something for my daughters wedding, but I didnt know what! Old cuts, various quality gems, sizes, and shapes. They suggested using one of their designers, Ali, to make a pendant with some of the gems. It turned out spectacularly! I now will give a bridal gift to my daughter which channels the love and hopes of her grandmothers and great grandmothers as well as mine and her fathers. Wonderful jewelry store. Staff is very knowledgeable and never pushy. They will pick out pieces they think you might like and let you know when it will be in the store to see them in person. They are also so good about keeping a record of your favorite wish list pieces in case someone special comes in looking for a gift idea :) You also cant beat the prices, they are very fairly priced and often less expensive than buying the same piece from another store. I especially recommend working with Amanda Nichols, she is such a pleasure, but all of the staff are excellent!

I stumbled into the Von Bargens Hanover store six years ago with some raw tanzanite treasures hoping someone could help me set them in a unique way.
