He did not give us the usual painful back and forth that other dealerships have given us in the past. I also greatly appreciated that Ron is a former business owner. Took our car to get serviced back in March yet to get my vehicle back or get a return call back from the dealership or corporate to get an update as to what’s going on with our vehicle. Called and emailed several people with no response. Got an email from the old service manager letting us know he no longer works for them. He managed to get back to us. But no one from Volkswagen. We are paying for a top line vehicle and have been driving a base line loner. At this point we have had the vehicle for 9 months 3 of them the vehicle has been in the shop. At this point may as well terminate the financing contract and walk away. Was really looking forward to making Volkswagen our go to for our vehicles. Second guessing our decision at this point. 3 months and no update as to why our vehicle is taking so long!! This is how you treat your paying customers and not to mention veterans?

Ridiculous. Bought a used Toyota Sienna in July. I understand it was used and not in top condition. Had some scratches which were addressed. The back passenger side seat was missing the headpiece. I told them about it and was promise theyll contact the previous owner or will order a new one. Its been two months since, several calls later and nothing to show for it. The sense of customer care is lacking after the purchase is made. Would not recommend buying a car from here. Save yourself a headache.

Very unimpressed with this dealership and their inconsiderate customer service. I was interested in possibly doing a trade-in, and the salesperson took the title of my old vehicle into a back office, didnt return it, and apparently lost it. I ultimately decided not to trade in the old vehicle or buy the new one, and I couldnt even get anybody to tell me about anything about what they did with the title of my vehicle. They did call probably a dozen times to see if I was still interested in buying a vehicle but completely blew me off when I tried to follow up on getting my title returned.

Big shout out to these awesome people at Bob Rohrmans VW. I came from Chicago to check out a Kia Rio with low mileage. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The vehicle is in great condition and they even detailed it for me before leaving. Lupe was the salesman that helped me out with my experience. Very easy going guy and allowed me to take a good look at this car and take a nice test drive. Jason helped me out with the financing portion which i got to say, this guy went above and beyond with his help. My wife was working but was able to e-sign the majority of the paper work with his help. I can’t say ‘thank you’ enough to these gents. 100% recommend this dealer.

I sent my car in to fix the paint job on the car because it was grainy all over. I went on vacation and was gone for a week in that time they claimed to have buffed out the Paint all throughout the car. Upon my return I noticed all of the windows were scratched and looked like if they buffed the windows as well. I immediately drove to the dealership to show them and they tried to insinuate that we had done this to the car which was not right at all. I had been gone the entire time they had the car and didnt come back until the next day upon them dropping off the car on top of that they had kept my car 3 extra days and kept giving me the run around for getting the car back in the first place. They agreed to fix it but were only able to get a few scratches out not all of them which now the depreciation of the car has gone down on a brand new car. They refuse to fix it and or replace it and want me to file a claim through my insurance to pay for their mistake. I have proof I was gone the entire time so there is no way we did this and I asked 3 mechanics for their opinion and all of them stated it was done by a buffing machine. I have been patient asked for help numerous times on this matter again for a brand new car and received no help at all. Doing a quick fix to try to get me to shut up is not going to happen. Im disappointed in management for not coming up with a better solution and for putting this on me the customer to handle. If this is how business is done with a brand new car and client I recommend to never get a car from here as my issue is still not resolved and no one has reached out to me with a better resolution other than claiming it on my insurance for which I did nothing wrong here. This was supposed to be a gift for my wife that was well deserved and its turned into a nightmare.

My experience with Javier was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Ron on the other hand was amazing and we are thankful for his help. Almost willing to throw away a sale over not wanting to cut a deal with a brand new car that had scratches on it. Who showed this guy how to work with people. Thanks Volkswagen for the beautiful car but maybe your General sales manager should be re-educated in customer service.

Just get my car from this horrible dealership1. Said can provide free delivery before I gave them my money and, in the end, asked me to pick up my car since they did not enough staffs? Good reason...then tell me, it is ok, we can provide you delivery service which cost $200. Nice, nice, nice....2. Left only less than 1/4 gas in fuel tank.....3. I took my car in for an oil change and Ivan was the one helping me out. The whole time he was talking to me as if I was dumb only after I rejected him. He tried to flirt with me and subtly tried to touch me consistently after I told him I wasnt interested. He completely disrespected me during my visit and made me feel very uncomfortable. Even with the girls that were in the service drive, it looks like they were uncomfortable around him too and it seems like he does the same thing to every female customer and employee hes around. Im disgusted to see Volkswagen hire someone as vile as him and still keep him around even after I said something to the general manager. You guys need to get your act together with who you hire. This behavior is unacceptable and I will complain everywhere until Ivan, GURNEE VOLKSWAGEN, service advisor is fired for good. No one should have to feel uncomfortable during an oil change and your office girls should not have to feel that way at work too. You guys are pathetic for hiring a man like Ivan. I called about an Atlas that I was interested in buying. It was the 5th one I had tried to buy in 2 weeks. I even spoke to a dealership that was padding the MSRP by $3000! This suv had a $500 discount. Suha totally understood what I needed and made it happen. We did the entire transaction over the phone and internet. He sent me a video of my new suv being loaded onto a flatbed and it was delivered to my driveway within a few hours! It was the best, by far, auto sales transaction I had ever done. They were great to work with. Id highly recommend!

Had a horrible experiance with the service department. My car was supposed to be looked at for a problem i was having with my window switch & i have an extended warranty with my car to where it covers that part. Mike told me i would have to call myself to see if my warranty covered the part that needed to be fixed even though they normally are supposed to call for you. Then told me it was my window that needed to be replaced when i knew for a fact that wasnt the problem. Thank god i decided to get a 2nd opinion & got my car fixed elsewhere. The ppl here are lazy and careless. I do not recommend this place at all ..

I purchased a used car from this dealership and had it for about a week. The car runs great. I stay three hours away from this dealership and the car got me home with no issues. Ron is the best salesman I’ve ever dealt with. He even called me a week later to check and see how I was doing and how the car was running. That tells you a lot about the professionalism of Ron! Thank you for being great at your job and helping me find the best car for my money. The whole experience was excellent.

This was my first time being at a volkswagon dealership and it was terrible. The dealership was waiting on receiving a corvette. The corvette arrived at the dealership and the dealership would not send pictures. I scheduled an appointment to see the vechilce. Upon arrival, I was told I have to wait because the employees are in a meeting. 10 minutes later our sales associate approaches us. He gathers our information and proceeds to tell us the car is not ready and will be another 20 minutes. The car porters pull the corvette up and while the two men get out, all you can smell is a STRONG marijuana smell. We look at the car and the corvette was completely modified, even after I told the dealership what I was specifically looking for. Overall, it was a waste of a trip. If you are looking for a trust worthy dealership and professional employees, this is NOT the right dealership for you.

My review is based on the sales experience I had at Gurnee Volkswagen. While I did not end up buying a vehicle from Gurnee VW, this time around, I have to say, the sales experience was fantastic. My sales Rep, Ron, was extremely attentive, professional and patient. So were his two managers. I will definitely consider them for future purchases!

Sandi Negrau helped me out a couple months back and he is someone I really respect for giving me great service, being a great human being, and being straightforward with me when it comes to loaning out for a car. No tricks or scams, anything of the sort. He is definitely someone I’ll go back to if I have any questions or concerns or even a purchase on my next vehicle. Patricia was great to work with for the first hour or so until the GM started to be the one texting back with me. I purchased a 2017 GTI for myself (not from here) and my fiancé loves it so much she wants one of her own! I inquired on a vehicle and all was well until I started asking about the condition it was in. They sent me a sketchy photo of a hand made chart showing the measurements of the brakes and tires as having life left in them (even though the safety inspection said the brakes needed to be replaced) and when I asked them to fix the thermostat because they told me it was leaking, they told me the price would be higher. I work in the business at an extremely reputable dealership myself, and something like a coolant leak would be replaced 100% of the time in our safety inspection... not upon a customers request. I was very hopeful, regardless of their already poor reviews online, that this would be a good experience as Patricia was a sweetheart to me and my fiancé, but that was short lived as the manager was quick to take over the lead. Thank you for all your help Patricia, but I am sorry we werent able to finalize the deal...

Ive bought three cars so far in my life. The buying experience I had with Ricardo was absolutely amazing. I went in expecting to have to play hardball and spend hours going back and forth on price. While we did do the back and forth, Ricardo and his sales manager were both extremely nice and were very fair. Every dealership Ive ever been to has been full of rude older salesmen that act like they are much more important than their customers. I did not get that sense here. It was a younger crowd, we were able to joke and laugh throughout, and they were extremely pleasant. Everyone from the sales team, to the finance department, to the service center were top notch. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to buy your next used car. And if Ricardo is available, ask for him. He seriously made the whole day great. Separately, the morning after I bought my used vehicle, the battery was dead. I assumed this was from it sitting on the lot for too long without being driven. I called Ricardo, he came out, gave me a jump and escorted me to the service department to get a brand new battery put in. He was under absolutely no obligation to do so, but that just shows the type of place this is. If you have any hesitation to buy from this place, dont. It will be the best place youve ever bought a car from!

Wonderful experience. My wife and I stopped in to look at pre-owned Audi TTs. Great atmosphere in the dealership and had plenty of time with the car to make a decision. Suha worked with us on numbers and was extremely patient, including walking the lot with us and showing us a variety of options. I didnt end up making a purchase but the price, offer on trade-in and willingness to work with us was all on point; ultimately just not the right time for us.Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and I didnt feel pressured into making a decision. Im happy that the finance guy was able to give me what I was quoted for on my trade in and they re-checked my credit score, so that they had the most up-to-date / highest score that I knew I had to ensure a lower APR. I know this sounds obvious, but I LOVE my new 2021 Tiguan SE. It has a lot of features, is super comfortable, a great ride, and the classic, but refined style I had been wanting from a VW for a long time. We purchased our 1st volkswagen couple months ago - sales manager Jason was amazing. However, the moment we had to deal with the service department - nightmare. Our top black out coverage needed to be re-done, Jason promised they would do that at no cost. I called to set up appointment with service to found out that I had to wait 3 weeks for the appointment cause they do not have a rental car. Really?! I went there finally today for the appointment - my dad took a day off at work to help me out since I am driving with 2 babies, 30min each way, 20min out there to found out they will not give me a rental car ! Because they do not care that the Secretary of State extended the DL renewals till August 1st ! They said my DL is expired and they do not care. So I wasted my time, my dads time, took unnecessary trip for the babies for nothing ! We used to have Jeep, Audi, Chrysler and Fords before and never had any issues. Looks it was mistake to trust volkswagen ! THE WORST SERVICE EVER !

I set an appointment to test drive a used GLA 250 with Billy on March 16th. He was fantastic during the drive. Billy did not pressure me and was very easy to work with. I later met the Sales Manager J.B. who told me he is here to sell cars, not to waste time going back and forth. I asked him if we can do a price match similar to a GLA from a different dealership. He cut me off and told Why are you here? Why not just go there instead?. So I decided to take JBs advice to purchase my car at a different dealership. Overall, JB did offer me some great advice.

The entire experience, from the test drive to the final meeting with the finance manager, was an enjoyable and positive experience. I felt very welcome and appreciated at the dealership and got along extremely well with all of the staff that I met there.

We were looking at another car at a different dealership and were suspicious of the deal so we called to look at a vehicle at Gurnee Volkswagen. We were surprised when we were met with authentic, friendly, hospitable people who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure we felt safe and comfortable. Suha, the manager, even offered to bring the car to our home to look at it and gave us more than enough for our trade in. He made sure every step was easy, never smooth talking or acting shady, and all of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel important and taken care of. We are forever Rohrman car families.

I bought a car from this location late Jan 27-28. I didn’t pick up the car until February 1 because I financed through my own bank. That process was ok.I did pick up the car late in the evening so the next morning I noticed food still on the car from the previous owner, even a mouth guard or retainer on the passenger side or the car.They had more than enough time to clean this car. And the fact that I was told the car had been for sale for over 30 days is even more sad that the car wasn’t even cleaned.Secondly i mentioned BEFOREHAND that it was a sound on the right side and to have it checked out before I picked the car up. This was not doneTurned out that the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. Upon getting that fixed from another dealership they found 5900 worth of damages on this car during inspection. That of course the warranty doesn’t cover!!!!Somehow vw of gurnee did not catch these damages or failed to disclose this informationUnbelievable either way!

These guys knocked out out of the park! The best experience both my wife and I have ever had at a car dealership. We were actually on our way to purchase a similar vehicle at a different dealership when on a whim we contacted Bob Rohrman Gurnee. We explained our situation at from the first call to the final goodbye it was nothing short of amazing. They made us feel valued and treated us like first class is they gave us a great deal for the vehicle we were purchasing as well as our trade-in. There were so many people we would like to thank so forgive me if I forget anyone. Our first contact was with the GM Suha... Very courteous, personable and easy to talk to from there their sales woman, Daisy, took great care of us and had everything prepared before we got there. Our bank was an hour away so they gave us the vehicle to test drive it on the way to the bank. Every single person from the technician to the managers and the the administrator went above and beyond. I would go there again in a heart beat.

Did faulty repair work on my newer VW. Caused me to be stranded in middle of work day on the side of the road. Had vehicle towed in to address the repair a second time only to have it returned to me with damage. Dealership is refusing sensible resolution to the damage. This location is failing to uphold the VW brand based on my experience.

Was approved for a Land Rover and they raised the price $2500 the next day. Would not honor the loan approval price that was posted online the day prior.

Spoke with this man who claimed to be the GM rudest guy, I simply just ask if they could lower a price by $500?Him: no! Wanna buy the car buy it dont wanna buy it dont, in the rudest tone! How in the world did you become a GM with zero people skill?

The process was 100% virtual due to the pandemic and it was very smooth all along. Suha Oner took very good care of us right from the start, and was able to procure the vehicle with the exact configuration that we desired. The team is very professional and was able to manage every step in an excellent manner, right from identifying the right vehicle, sending pictures of the actual car, and even finishing all the required documentation remotely. Unethical and unscrupulous typical car sales experience. Be prepared for deceit and an attempt to collect extra dealer fees. Review all numbers carefully since they’ll attempt to collect extra fees to pad their deal. The workers and managers appear to be anti-mask, so be warned. Numerous people in the showroom sneezing and coughing. Despite being promised a tank of gas while making the deal, was told that wasn’t their policy when I arrived to pick up the vehicle. Avoid this dealership if possible.

My wife and I stopped in a few days ago and we have nothing but the best to say about this Dealership. The whole staff we interacted with were were helpful and friendly, especially Ricardo Muffler. I have several complaints, I make a deal with you as a dealership to do the paint and the remote start. The service department tells me 3 days tops and that you would call me with updates. I as the customer should not have to call you for updates on my vehicle I spent my money on. The service department calls me and says, oh by the way, there is a recall on the vehicle do you mind bringing it in and we will take care of it for you. I say, ok its already there. So now three things the vehicle needs. This happened two weeks ago and I still dont have my vehicle!!!!!!!!! So please understand my frustration!!!!!!!!!!

6/20/2020 - No Employees at this facility wore a mask - On top of that we received very poor service. Our sales person knew nothing about the car he was showing us. I asked several questions and he didnt try to find the answers. Will not waste my time or endanger my health again.
