I took my car in for routine maintenance (again) on 12/30/2019. Theres no fancy waiting room but thats okay with me, Im more interested in feeling like Im not being taken advantage of. I started bringing my car (a 2017 SUV) here for service after my dealership tried selling me a service I didnt need. The dealership has completely lost my trust but at this shop I know they dont sell you things you dont need. Unfortunately, women have to be especially careful when getting car repairs! Highly recommended!!!

Had a flat tire and was expecting a long ordeal, went to the shop, they checked for the problem, found, and fixed it all within 15 minutes. I also use this place for oil changes and they always do a quick job

Friendly family run local shop. The mechanic is very knowledgeable and seems able to tackle any problem. He has kept my 12 year old car running like new, I never have a problem with it -------- I need reliable and safe transportation, so I trust them with any repair needed. They are very honest and eager to help. I originally went there because of some pretty bad problems with Hondas Service Dept. I am well pleased with the Gulfport Auto Shop.

I like going here. Great service and they really get the job done without adding all the extra BS you get from other auto mechanics. Another thing I like about this place is that you can bring your own parts and they’ll put it on for you. I definitely recommend this place to get your car fixed.

Heres my experience I went to this auto shop for the last 15 years Ive watched it go from Gulfport Auto and truck to Nationwide to The car doctor, they were good for a short time but there current staff is a bunch of thieves I went in for a tire they gave me a damaged one that started making a noise I took it back they said it was my shocks in the rear I had them replace the shocks but the sound persisted I decided to get a second opinion with my dealerships service department it came back that the replacement tire was bad and they charged me $500 for shocks they did not replace. In the past years they would miss once and awhile but to charge you for work and not even do it and sell faulty tires when you believe you are paying for new is just down right despicable

My car randomly overheated. I brought it in to get fixed, $559.20 later, and 2 trips back to get fixed, it’s still not fixed! They made the problem worse now I need more parts. They admit “we don’t know how to fix this” wouldn’t give me any money back. Shady shop, ASK for copies of everything, bc they have nothing for me. Your at their mercy once you pay that bill and they know it!!! DONT go heretheir a scam

You know.. the only news that makes news is bad news. If people have a great experience they just go on their way and dont take the time to praise good service. I must tell you... Ive brought a few cars to these guys.. and had a great experience every time. I always felt like they were honest... and much less expensive than many other shops.. They figured out a problem with our Saturn when noone else could.. They changed the clutch in my VW for 350.00 in service.. I provided the parts.. What more could you ask for.. Today Im about to call them to work on another car we have.

Dont ever bring your vehicles to here. The person I worked with (though definitely a native of this country and speaking the native language) for some reason, didnt understand a word of english. I spoke with him and was very detailed about what I wanted and did not want done with my vehichle. He misunderstood everything. I said I would pay for the bushings and clips in the door panel and the lock for the door, but not for the cylinder lock that is in the ignition switch. He understood that to mean that I would not pay for anything and put ZIP TIES (yes, zip ties) in my door panel. They did offer for me to bring it back to have it fixed. But after receiving it back- not fixed for the original issues that I paid for (drivers window and door lock), they also broke the passenger window and door lock taking it apart to determine the parts that they needed for the drivers side. I am taking my car to another, more reputable shop to have all the issues corrected.

What kind of repair shop doesnt work on electrical issues? Thats like saying youre a dentist but only work on the front teeth?

We were riding our bikes in Central Ave in St Pete near 8th St and one of their flatbed trucks came racing up behind me and almost hit me and my wife. The driver then opened his window and swore at us and yelled to get in the bike lane. There is NO bike lane on Central Ave. Dont use this company. Their drivers are rude.
