I love this place! They are so good to their customers and wonderful pricing on the parts and when they are fixing vehicles. Everyone there is so friendly and very understanding of everyone’s finances they will make sure you get the best price for you!

This is the worst place to bring your car. The woman at the front is rude and unprofessional. The mechanics do not know how to do their job and then proceed to lie to cover up their own wrong doings. They claimed to have fired the specific mechanic who sent a customer away with a MAJOR safety hazard, however he is still working on cars and the establishment will not admit wrongdoing or offer a partial refund for their outrageous “Labor” fee, when they don’t even perform the labor correctly. They do not send your car thru a 10 point inspection following their work and are therefore not abiding by the LAW. Don’t worry Downtown Service Center, the car will be going to another diagnostic test and you will be hearing from our lawyers. Mistakes happen, but so do lawsuits. I wish you luck on the future of your business. I never once claimed it was my personal vehicle, I am just sharing the experience of my roommate and I. It also isn’t nice to have customers sent off missing parts from their car, but your business has no problem doing that. Maybe you should tend to that before worrying about people exposing the truth of your corrupt business.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I don’t make complaints, but this was ridiculous. My clutch went out on July 15th. I called and they told me to bring it on July 20th, they’d have it looked at and have me an estimate July 22nd & the work should be completed no later than the following week. After that following week, I hadn’t heard updates from them. Over the course of the next three weeks, I would call back and they either say “the mechanic called in sick or the only had one transmission guy and he was working on another project” Every time I would call for an estimate, the lady at the front desk would never give me a range, she would only say “oh your not going to like it” or “yeah it’s not going to be pretty.” They kept lying and saying they put in on the lifter but took it off. On August 10th, I had it towed from Downtown to Chuck Coats, a few blocks down. They completed the service to me with excellent professionalism & on August 12th my service was completed. It took them 3 days to do what Downtown didn’t do in 3 weeks! Downtown is TRASH!

Excellent all around. Great service, good work, honest prices, and quick turnaround. I was in Gulfport (live in Chicago), had a transmission issue on Wednesday afternoon, I was back on the road Thursday morning; and for a fraction of what I thought it might cost. Highly recommend!

I have been a customer of Mark’s (DownTown Service Center) shop for over 9 years. They fixed my transmission on my first Ford F-150 perfectly. Then David fixed the rear axle problem on my Ford F-150 4x4 that made a humming noise driving at 65 miles an hour. His kind demeanor and professional workmanship, just outstanding! The service charge always reasonable. They are centrally located, (behind Sherwin Williams Paint) at the crossroads Tanner Rd. and Dedeaux Rd. I recommend this shop because David is a skilled mechanic. And my truck’s still working after 5 years.

I recently had an excellent experience at the Downtown Service Center. I was 7 hours from home and having car problems. This place was so efficient, kind and helpful. They solved my problem. Id like to take this opportunity to thank the Downtown Service Center for keeping me calm so far away from home. The services I received felt fair, ethical and human.

I have been dealing with shop for over 10 years & have received nothing but excellent service until now. I took my van there a few weeks ago because my belt kept coming off & my a/c wasnt blowing too good. I was charged $166 for something that had absolutely nothing to do with the problem & the killing part is they made the problem worse than what it was when I brought it to them. I am a single mother of 5 & dont have money to just throw away. I cant believe they messed over me this way.

They are very thorough patient and understanding and they are very affordable.

I have been using this establishment for over two years, the owner (Mark Johnson) is the most knowledgeable, kind and compassionate person I have ever encountered in my 71 years. He works with me with my repairs and helps me anyway he can. I would recommend him to any/everyone and my family and friends go to him due to my recommendation....

The only reason my car went there is cuz my father in law knows somebody there but as far as their timelime, IT SUCKS. Weve gotten 4 different days. 1) Friday, 2) then it would be ready the following tuesday, 3) it was suppose to be Yesterday but they said that the Wrong Torque converter came in, YEAH RIGHT, and 4) its suppose to be ready today. WE WILL SEE. My car has been there for 3 WEEKS. it broke down on is the day before my birthday and my birthday was the worst day ever. But needless to say, I will NEVER take anything of ours there again and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. But if I have problems with it after I get it back, I WILL NOT BE TAKING IT THERE. So plz everyone, DO NOT take any of ur vehicles there cuz they will give u the run around on a correct timeline.
