This is definitely one of the best nail salons i have even been too. everyone in the workplace does an amazing job while also providing great customer service. whenever you call they are always available which is surprising because of how much clientele they get. since the day i found this establishment i haven’t been to another one which says a lot. my favorite nail tech, joey always makes sure i leave out satisfied and i love that. highly recommend !

I went for a pedicure and nail extension, dip powder nail manicure. We did not have an appointment after the nail place I booked at claimed they did not have my reservation and over booked me. Mermaid nails saw my mom and I right away. We had great service! They did my bridal nails exactly how I imagined them! They were so sweet and wished my much luck and happiness in my marriage. Thank you mermaid nails!

Went in for a full gel set. Even though they were super busy they got me & my mom right in and were quick! Nails came out cute. Will definitely go back :)

I had a pleasant experience. This was my first time at this salon/spa. This place is very clean, relaxing and professional services. Joey was great. I had a Spa pedicure with massage & hot stones. I also got a manicure...with beautiful butterflies added...in addition got my eyebrows done.

They cut me five seconds into my pedicure.. they girl running things at the desk is clearly just there for the money allowing people with little to no experience to work for her. I’m a runner and have been unable to run to do this experience for weeks. Person continued to work on my foot completely trying to ignore the fact I was bleeding. I’m not usually the person to leave reviews but I don’t believe it’s safe and anyone going there should know. as I was sitting there they were talking about a client who had apparently gone off on them too but I didn’t wanna be that lady so I waited till he was finished to quietly and politely bring it up she tried to deny that he cut me and I’m like pointing right at my foot like the proof is there and she wanted to completely disregard me. Awful place

On a weekend getaway and was looking for something to do with everything being closed. Had an Amazing pedicure,foot massage, and back massage. They even opened the shop for us during hurricane Henri!! Such nice welcoming staff, would highly recommend a visit to their shop.

I am not the type to post negative reviews, or push back on a salon when they’re busy, I try really hard to give the benefit of the doubt. Honestly this is the 3rd time I have been here and every time has been a disappointment for one reason or another but I told myself that they’re doing the best they can. Today was the tipping point. I won’t get into all of the details other than to say that this is how I left after I made an appointment for a friend and I for manicures. I got a powder manicure (I have gotten plenty over the years at other salons) usually they end with you washing all the remaining powder off, sitting back down to have any touch ups and some lotion applied. My technician finished the top coat then walked away. After another 2 mins of sitting there confused I was told that I was done. No wash, lotion, and my fingers are blue… I will not be giving them a 4th chance. $50+ Shouldn’t end like this.

A wonderful place to get my nails done. The staff is amazing and courteous and are very skilled. I had a different technician today than normal and it was not their usual care. Otherwise id give a 5.

I had such a pleasant experience I had to leave a review! I joined my wife on a visit when she received a massage and pedicure as a gift and I had a massage as well.WOW! What a great great job they did. I have had many massages at many different spas and this massage was one of the BEST I have ever received.I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

I truly hate to do this but I couldnt not say something. Went a couple weeks ago got a pedicure brought my own polish. It was a bright pink...for some strange reason my toes were orange when I left. Fast forward to the manicure...Ive been working the dip off for a few days. Popped one off this morning & found mold growing in my nail. Im so disgusted I just have no words. Will never be back.

First time here and the best experience ever. Had a set of acrylics and a pedicure done. They came out amazing and the experience was exceptional! Definitely recommend

They do a pretty good job with shape but I was there for 2 hours getting the simplest one color nail acrylic fill and they charged me random fees not on their pricing menu and my nails already are peeling….. I live a sedentary life lol there is no reason for this. I don’t even do labor

I am new at groton and i was looking for a good place for my nail and i found it. This place its very nice. Excelent work.

I would not recommend this place I went with my boyfriend and got a gel manicure and we both received callus pedicures. The details for the pedicure advertised a sea salt foot soak, foot scurb and massage, with parrfin wax and a hot stone and towel at the end. The only thing my feet soaked in was plain water, they left dirty tools floating in the water after they used them, and there was no hot stone. I had intended on a spa pedicure but the steamers look like they havent ever been cleaned they were rusty and there was dirt and dust build up in the water, so I skipped on that. The barriers they had dividing the spa chairs were so dirty. The gel manicure I received seemed rushed and they did not last more than 3 days before they began chipping. I will not be returning to this location for a future services.

They did not change the nail drill tip and I told them about it and they got frustrated with me when I confronted them absolutely disgusting and unprofessional.

I had a pedicure at mermaid nails today for the first time. It was a special treat for my birthday. The pedicure and massage was so enjoyable and Kay did a great job. I was so relaxed. Definitely a good value for your money too. Ill definitely go back again!

Best spa experience Ive ever had!! They were professional, kind and on top of their game. They kept everything clean and everyone distanced. Followed covid protocol and only used new equipment. Today was my first visit to this spa. I was happy with my service. Despite getting busy Mia took her time & I felt pampered. The rubs during mani & pedi were amazing but we will definitely be back for massages.

Ive been coming here for over a year now and I absolutely love them! David and Sara have always been my go to if theyre available. If not, I still book an appointment because honestly, everyone there is nice and they make sure youre satisfied!! Ive never had a problem and Ive always loved how my nails turned out. I’m giving 2 Stars only bc the first time I went, my nails came out fine. Mind you, she only did a color change on my existing nails. Second time they were horrible. She removed my tips, refused to put new ones on, and gave me dip nails that look worse than if I did them myself. I’ve added pics for you to judge for yourself...

I’m super picky with my nails. I notice every detail. I have gone to Mermaids the past 3 times and each time is phenomenal. I get the ANC dip with tips and each tech has been thorough in detail and receptive to requests. Not to mention they’re of quality every time - they can easily be worn for 4 weeks, though I change them every 2 weeks. Their prices are great, I always tip well because they are so affordable. Can’t say enough about this place!!

I got my nails done at the crystal mall because someone recommended it and they turned out awful. Mermaid Nails fixed the mistakes and my nails became so beautiful! I was so in love with them and have been going since. They give you a nice little massage after they do your nails and the whole space and tools are very clean! They also have a nice little rewards card that after so many times you get $10 off your next service. They are a little pricier than other locations but I think its worth it!!! The picture attached was already after two and a half weeks after getting them done

First time here, on a recommendation of a friend. This will now be my go to nail salon. Everyone was super friendly and I got one of the best manicures Ive ever had...I dont have the best nails, Im too active but they look amazing now! Cant thank you enough.

David is especially good, very thorough, precise and efficient. 10/10 recommend coming here, stop going to Crystal mall to get your nails done.

Came here on the recommendation of some friends. They have options aplenty for hands, feet and waxing.They have regular manicures, gel polish, acrylic and gel sets, as well as regular and organic dipping powder options. And the color options for all of those are vast.They have 8 or so pedicure chairs and their pricing options are based on time, which is nice. The highest option is 30 minutes for $35.I got the regular dipping powder and it was a great experience. I was in and out within 45 minutes which is the fastest I have ever had my nails done. Kay did them and it was awesome.The day after I went one of my nails cracked. I went back and they redid the nail for no charge.I will definitely be going back and requesting Kay.

I used to love this place I went all the time I went back recently and it’s clearly under new management the guy was extremely rough with my hands overall it wasn’t the service I was used to by any means. Don’t go here trust me.

Just had my acrylics taken off here and trust me dont waste your hard earned money here. I was gonna do them myself but I wanted to get them buffed and cleaned up and well I guess I should of done it at home. She was rushed the ENTIRE time and they came out terrible. Lesson learned

I’m a real life Dora the explorer and I’ll try anything once. Let me just say I was in the area and after yesterday manicure and pedicure experience with my best friend who just received her tech license, I needed a redo.. like pronto! Found this place on google search and love the name and decided what the heck. I walk in with no appointment, was friendly greeted. I waited no longer than ekkk 5mins the most which isn’t bad for a Friday afternoon. Had “Lily” which I was randomly paired with. She beautifully re-shaped, buffed and repainted my toenails. She gently removed the less than 24 hrs gel polish on my fingernails, cut it down like I requested, perfectly reshaped it, repolished it and I couldn’t have been more happy and please on the out come. I requested her name on the business card so when I am back in the area I could have her do my nails again. Btw she offered me a neck message which I kindly declined but her hand massage.... heaven! Lily is very good at painting as I can tell by the technique she was using while painting my toenails, yes I am a gweeker lol and she give great hand massages with prefect pressure. Just FYI I am an experienced OCD nail customer with 20 years of getting my nails done faithfully (1week polish change- 2 week pedicure and fill/gel polish). I don’t understand how their pricing work even though they had it up but I didn’t care much for what it cost, I usually look to spend $100.00 with tipping in a nail shop. I spent $38 for a gel manicure and toenails polish change and tipped her $20. A wonderful experience! I would absolutely visit again and have Lily do my gel manicure and possibly try a pedicure.

I love going to Mermaid Nails & Spa. I especially love the technician David. He is gentle with the dremel tool and takes his time to shape my nails. After David is done my nails always look so natural. If you have a chance request him, I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.

Best pedicure I’ve had in a while. The tech’s name was Andy, he took his time and he knew what he was doing. My polish was perfect without any excess around my toe nails. I was also given a 2 minute back rub at the very end, this place is definitely a MUST GO. It’s on the pricey side, however you truly get what you pay for. Definitely worth the money.

I have never been disappointed by this place. Prices are reasonable, friendly staff. Theres even one lady that plays with my 4 year old once her nails are done, to keep her entertained.

I love this salon. Although it seems you cant ever get the same person. Ellen is the only one I dont really care for. She never says thank you, and she has a terrible attitude, andShe rushes through your nails way to fast and doesnt massage your back, she rubs it. Other than her the staff is great and and a very clean place also!

I called several weeks before to make a 9 am appointment for my mom and I to have our nails done the day of her wedding. When we arrived at 9 they said we had to wait and they couldn’t take the two of us. Ridiculous- shouldn’t have even wasted my breath calling to make the appointment. My mom and I went to Cedar Nails and they took us immediately- will not return to Mermaid Nails ever again.

I ended up getting a simple gel color, because they couldnt understand what I wanted. After a few minutes of trying to explain I just gave up. Its an ok manicure, but there are some uneven spots that are pretty visible, which is disappointing with a simple manicure. The man who did my nails also did not file them evenly and a couple are pretty obviously crooked.The color choices are pretty limited and it is a pretty drab interior, like some others said. I do question how hygienic it is, because they didnt really seem to clean the stations - just wipe off the bits of nails and cuticle with the nail file and call it good. Although the cuticle clippers did come out of one of the sanitized bags, they didnt look clean and the nail files and clippers definitely werent new or sanitized.The salon is a bit cheaper than others around, but you get what you pay for. I was rushed in and rushed out and, again, the polish is pretty uneven. It even looks cracked in a few spots, just because the color was not applied well.I dont plan on visiting again

Fast service. Nail technician noticed my nails were thin and offered me an alternative to standard acrylic nails... The technician did an amazing beautiful job on my nails!!! While my nails were drying, I got an amazing hot tile back massage and then hand massage, all for a very affordable price and very professional service. 5 Stars!!!!!

Mermaid Nails and Spa is the ONLY place in the area to get your nails done! I wondered in one day 2 months ago after my old salon of 2 years had made an appointment with me and didnt keep it! They werent even open that day! They never even called to cancel! Oh well, their loss was Mermaids gain. I met Joey that day. She made me and still makes me feel special. From the time I walk into the salon until the time I leave I feel pampered! She remembers me and makes me feel like Im not just a number. She is friendly and personable and does a very professional job on my nails. I get the UV gel and it lasts a month for me. I also have 2 herniated discs in my neck and the hot towel and shoulder massage she gives is superb!! Appointments are easy to get I have found. The rest of the staff I have noticed are equally friendly and professional as well. The place is clean and they play the most relaxing music. I find when my time is up I dont want to leave! Lol. So step into this magical place and enjoy some peace in this crazy world.

Today I had my nails done (powder $40 + tax) The woman burned my fingers and left a small gap so I have to come back sooner I think. The woman didn’t even say good bye or thank even though I said thank you, good bye and despite the bad job I gave her a tip. Just basic manners right?

This place was more than I expected! They offer a heated neck pad and give you a quick mini massage on your shoulder. Looked clean and sanitary as well. A little pricey but worth indulging yourself!

We stopped here on vaction and the took 2 of us 20 minutes before closing for pedicures

Worst experience ever, $70 down the drain. My daughter asked for a french manicure, but the guy continued saying that he couldnt do the line instead he continued pestering about doing a different color, showing an attitude and rushing the entire time. By the time that everything was set and done this is the WORST job they ever did. This is the unprofessional french manicure at Mermaid Nails & Spa. Then we went to a different place to fix the MESS they made at the spa called Cedar Nail Spa . By The Way the can actually do the line french manicure ... This is the first and last time coming here. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND Mermaid Nails & spa

I am not gonna go back there anymore, because I been doing my nails couple times there. There will really fine, but I found my finger nails all fungus when I took of the gel when I visit my sister at Boston. One terrible thing is that was pretty think and weak. It wasn’t like that before when i start to going at Mermaid. I was really don’t understand why my good, healthy nails turning that bad. I don’t even want to bother them anymore. I am so disappointed.

I just moved to Groton and heard some good things about this place from fellow navy wives. Sunny did my pedicure and she did a great job, the massage was awesome!! The prices are really good for what you get. I will definitely be going back for more pedicures.

They really did a HORRIBLE job on my acrylic nails and I’ve been there a couple of times and will NOT be going back there again they rush and don’t take the time or do what you want my nails weren’t even the same shape or size on each hand.. very unhappy I would recommend NOT to go there.

I just had a pedicure done by Adam and he is amazing when I tell you he took his time and made sure my poor little neglected piggies got all the attention they needed. 15 min. leg and foot massage, the dead skin from my rough heels literally peeled off. the attention to detail and even a shoulder massage while I waited for my toes to dry!!! Yas!!! I was in heaven I will be back and highly recommend them (especially Adam!) to anybody. they were clean and the environment was super relaxing!!! I cannot say enough good things about this place!!!

Im changing my review from a two-star to a three-star, as the customer service is always friendly and outgoing, though occasionally when I go and get specific colors the polish does chip. The salon is always great with my fixing any of my damaged nails within reason.

Unfortunately my first experience there for a pedicure with Joyce was terrible. From the moment she walked up to the chair she was angry. The entire 30 minutes was a rushed event. Pedicures are to be enjoyed. This was not the case. If you go please ask for someone different.

Had a wonderful experiance. Im not big on getting my nails done. Because when I have gone to other places they never listen to what I want done. The nail tech was very attentive when listening to me.
