For the last 5 years I’ve worked in the birth world, so I understood what this process entailed, or so I thought. We recently moved to the area where we met Shari & Robin, and wow were we blown away. Shari’s years of experience was so reassuring as first time parents. Every single question, fear, doubt, thought, were all answered with confidence, while also taking the time to go into great detail (I’m type A and love to be in control). Not once did I waver on our choice of provider, we knew we were in good hands, I just needed to believe in myself and Shari was my rock. When it came time to birth this little human, things progressed quickly and smoothly, until baby’s position caused for a long and intense labor. Hours of labor lead to a frustrated and an exhausted mom (me!) where I tried to convince my team to send me to the hospital, Shari knew that wasn’t what I wanted and remained calm. She evaluated the situation and continued to provide me confidence and kept me on track with honest feedback (which I needed since I am so stubborn). We were able to have the homebirth we wanted, baby was 9 lbs 4oz, all because of the hard work of Shari & Robin. The follow up visits were smooth and effortless, and they have become like family. We are forever grateful for this experience and we look forward to our next baby with them❤️

Shari was my midwife for my first birth at the birth center, but my daughter was breech and I ended up transferring to a hospital for a c-section. As soon as I was pregnant with my son, I called Shari. She had gone into private practice and doing home births and I was so excited for her to do my VBAC. Shari has such amazing experience over the years, I trusted her completely with my home birth, even though Im almost an hour drive to the nearest hospital. During my prenatal care, the visits are long and scheduled for an hour and Shari is available anytime to answer ANY questions you have. You wont find care like that anywhere and she loves every single mom she sees. She has an ultrasound machine (which can be rare among midwives) for you to see and hear your baby. What is even more amazing is that she works with Robin, another midwife, so you know your care and labor will be covered and youll always have someone there for you. You see both Shari and Robin once a month up until a few weeks before the baby, which visits increase and then they do a home visit to drop off a birthing pool, if you choose to have one, and familiarize themselves with your home and birthing area. They only see a limited number of moms a month so you dont have to worry about her being overbooked and a high chance of multiple moms in labor when you are. Cost out-of-pocket was actually less than my in-hospital insurance-covered birth. When I went into labor around 4a (the day after Christmas) and texted Shari & Robin, they both immediately answered and hopped in the car to come to my house. My birth was amazing. I had a photographer (Lindsey Bartell for Monet Nicole Photography - photo credit for attached photos) and was lucky to capture my birth. Shari and Robin helped make sure everything was set up and made sure I was okay - they monitored but it was never unnecessary or felt noticeable. They helped me when I needed it and was able to provide counter pressure during my labor and an arm to squeeze. They brought everything they might need in case of an emergency situation, along with oxygen, but I didnt notice it sitting out. I had an en caul birth (baby still in water sac) and Shari removed his veil. After my birth, it was of course a blur, but they were quiet and respectful and cleaned up everything. Robin made me some eggs to eat and made sure my body was hydrated. They did laundry, drained and broke down the birthing pool, cleaned up everything within less than 3 hours. I had to get a Pitocin shot just in case of bleeding, and had a 2nd degree tear that needed stitches, and Shari took care of both while I laid in bed with my newborn. She helped with nursing and made sure he latched.Shari and Robin love the moms they see and you wont find better midwives that provide such detailed care. They know so much and are able to answer any concern or question you have. They are so calm and reassuring, you know everything will be alright. I trusted them entirely and felt completely safe with them at my birth. Even first-time moms would feel confident and empowered under their care. They are amazing and so sweet. I could not have even imagined a better birth.

I am a practicing physician and Shari delivered my second born at home. She did GBS testing, all prenatal ultrasounds and made sure my wife was doing ok in terms of sleep, nutrition and so forth. The birth was an amazing, almost spiritual experience. My wife gave birth using breathing techniques and did not require any medications. It is so wonderful to see holistic care delivered so professionally and at home.

Shari is an amazing midwife! We had a wonderful birth with her and couldn’t have asked for a better way to bring our son into the world. She’s so knowledgeable and has so much experience that it takes all the fear away knowing you’re in good hands. Her comforting and laid back personality also helps with that! Our care leading up to birth was great and taught us what we needed to know to feel confident going into it and she was supportive and made a wonderful environment for the labor and birth itself.

Words cannot describe what an amazing champion and midwife Shari is. She delivered both of my girls. She was a rock during my pregnancies and was always a loving, compassionate supporter even when my hormones were raging. If I was ever anxious or unsure she knew exactly what to say and how to say it to put me at ease. Shari has a gift and it is catching babies and building families. She made me feel strong and sure that I could have safe, natural deliveries without the intervention of a hospital. However, I trusted that if I’d needed to transition, she would not hesitate to keep us safe. My partner and I both enjoyed her immensely. I highly recommend her midwifery services. She is a spectacular human!

Shari was my midwife twice and I wouldnt consider birthing with anyone else after working with her. She is so passionate about what she does, which makes you so excited to give birth. She is also so knowledgeable that it takes away any fear or worry you may have had. You know you are in the best hands and can trust her completely. Best of all, she LOVES you through the whole pregnancy and birth process in a way that makes you feel special and respected as a woman and mother. Thanks Shari!

Shari is a warm, centered, authentic, well educated, supportive, and loving midwife. Her care is exceptional because she is knowledgeable, experienced, and intuitive. As a pregnant woman, I felt safe in her care and felt that I could trust her judgement when things got hard. Even as a mother now, I continue to meet with her for well mama visits because she knows her stuff! This is a midwife you want by your side throughout the motherhood journey.

I cannot imagine that there is a better midwife out there than Shari. She was by my side every step of the way through my pregnancy and beyond. My husband and I trust her immensely. She will make you laugh (often), she will be there when you cry, and she will allow you to have an amazing birth. We are so grateful for her.

Weve used Shari twice. We will never use anyone else. We drove 100 miles to use her the second time. No one closer was as qualified or as enthusiastic. Best in Colorado in our opinion.
