I was stranded in south Carolina until I could get my car worked on and the guys there squeezed me in immediately. They are awesome people. Loved them.

Great people, helped me out today with a nail in my tire and a burnt out headlight (I had the bulb, but 3 other places couldnt replace it!). Ill definitely be back, soon for an oil change, then whatever else I need in the future!

My transmission went out on Sept 2. I did not get my car back until Sept 18, two days later the transmission that they put in there which was used went out. Now my car is back in the shop there. My car has been in their shop for over a month now other then the two days I had it. And today I have caught them in not one, not two, but too many lies to count. I told them I did not want another used transmission and they said that was fine and they wld get my warranty company to refund them the amount for the used transmission and I could pay the difference which I did ($1000). Since today they were caught in so many lies I contact my warranty company and the warranty company informed me that back on Sept 2, DuPont auto did contact them but chose to use a transmission they already had instead of my warranty company sending a transmission from one of the vendors they use. And that they can not been contacted since then. As of today I have paid $1500 in rental car fees as well. This company will not call you back and continues to blame everyone else. When I mentioned my attorney they said we will not sell you anything else... like it’s my fault it’s now been over a month. This is ridiculous! And I still do not have my vehicle back nor have they even ordered the new transmission, even though everyday they tell me it’s on the truck, and then today tell me they have to wait for their money to be refunded first before they can order me a new one! Sounds like to me they are pocketing money from my warranty company and also from myself. And they tell you they will call you back but not once have they returned my call. I would not recommend this company at all.

Fair pricing. They definitely check out everything for you, and dont try to add a bunch of unnecessary work/charges to the work being done. I didnt know I had a tail light out and they offered to replace it. They showed me my awful air filter and didnt have a replacement in stock so they had one brought in same day and replaced it for me. It took longer than expected, but thats mostly because they made sure to change my light and got that air filter in and replaced for me. All in all I liked their services.

Everybody has always been very nice, but I had started to wonder about the quality of the work.I have been loyal to Dupont for the six years that I have lived here but I unfortunately will not be back.Most recently, I had my oil changed there and then soon after my brake pads replaced.Not long after I ended up on the side of the road with a flat tire. I took it to discount tire and auto which was closest to where I was and they showed me the condition of my tires and why they needed to be replaced.I wondered why Dupont had not mentioned this to me before I ended up on the side of the road stranded.A week later I ended up at another shop (Watson) with a dead battery. Through testing they showed me how completely dead my battery was and that it could’ve been tested before hand in order to be replaced before going completely dead and needing a tow.They also let me know that my water tank was leaking. I fortunately have 1000 miles left on my warranty and so they caught it just in time for me to be able to get it to you the jeep dealership and not be out of pocket another five or $600.I wonder if Dupont was doing the inspections that they should’ve been doing with my oil change packages all this time?I love the guys at Dupont, but I think I will be going to discount tire and auto on Woodruff road to give great service and great warranty, and Watson‘s auto on Broad Street who also gave great service come out from now on .

Cant say enough about these folks. While I was impatient and wanting my car back as quickly as possible after a minor accident, I now understand why they made me wait a few extra days. They were diligent, thorough and cared enough to ensure everything was better than it was before my accident. Their attention to detail is next level and I am very appreciative.

My mom got a groupon for this place. it was our first time visiting dupont. they fixed my brakes, rotors, sensors, and was nice enough to place my new hubcap on for me. i also got my tires rotated. the price for everything was about $200, and you can’t beat that for all that work. i definitely recommend this place. the employees are excellent too!

Friendly service, however they are behind on working on vehicles.

Taken 3 of my vehicles (a 20 year old Land Rover no one else even wanted to work on and 2 Chevys) here and had great experiences every time. They listen to what you want --- never once been unpleasantly surprised. Robbie always calls me if anything unexpected comes up. They prioritize issues and wont just do a bunch of extra stuff to tack on costs. Most recently Robbie gave me an estimate (not even an official quote) and when I came in to pick up the vehicle the total was a little over the estimate. I wasnt bothered by it and didnt even say anything but Robbie immediately said I told you itd be this price so let me adjust this and he discounted it to what hed told me. A few times Ive had to drop a vehicle off and didnt have a ride they had one of their guys give me a ride home. Good people here. Solid work. Fair and honest. Ill keep going back.

I have never been through so much stress in my life over something simple. I went in for an oil change & I now need a new car!! Want to know why? I neede to change ou my breaks and these people cut my damn fluid line!! Like what on God’s GREEN EARTH is the issue?!!! LOVE YOURSELF & DON’T COME HERE! PERIOD!!!

Went to one location to get an oil change because I had a Groupon. He was great. Told me I needed tires which I knew but couldnt afford at the time. Went to their other location to get said tires. The first pair of tires were no good. Went back the first time. He told me to let them settle because they had been sitting for a while. Went back again because my car was still shaking they finally changed them. Not only is my car shaking more now, I also need an alignment because my car is pulling so bad to the right. Wont be back. I feel like they screwed up my car so I would have to come back to them. Never again. Groupon or not

Worst place to take your car, I paid for tire rotation and inspection but they only changed right side tires and did not rotate the left side. Did not gave any inspection report just said everything is fine without even looking at everything. I had the break pads replacement on same day and whenever I am using breaks I hear a disturbing noise coming from them. Also charged me extra money in the name of sales tax and in receipt printed it as supply charges. Greedy and not at all trustworthy.

One of the worse experiences I’ve had in any car place ever. Yes they where fast but I got my car back in even worse condition then it was when I took it. I came for a break change and my fluid line got cut... my car is leaking everywhere. DONT GO HERE

Not sure what to think of this place. Im no r a Macha nice but the front desk guy said they replaced my breaks that they put on a month before, but no one asked for my tire key. He tried to retract his statement saying I thought they did...Secondly I have a weird feeling my car was messed up during a routine oil change because the issues I had less than a month should have been seen cost me $275. I dont think they are completely honest but the waiting room environment makes you comfortable.

Don’t come here unless you want to get an entire new car. They WILL mess up your car. Extremely disappointed, I wouldn’t even rate this place one star but I had to.

If you bought a Groupon deal for an oil change, beware that its not as good of a deal as you think it is. These Groupons clearly state that the Groupon does not cover tax or gratuity. However, Dupont Tire will charge you an Oil Waste Fee of about $3.50 to cover some of their costs. Do not be fooled though--this fee is NOT a tax. It is a fee created by Dupont Tire. Other auto repair and lube establishments have not charged this fee.Yes, SC does place an $0.08 per gallon excise tax on motor oil on the wholesale level as a result of the SC Solid Waste Policy Management Act of 1991. However, this is normally paid by whoever purchases the oil when it first enters SC.Dupont Tire disappointed me for this reason. Dont offer an oil change for one price and charge another $3.50-$4.00 once I get there. Jiffy Lube dealt with a class action lawsuit in 2007 for doing the same thing. This is dishonest business.

Best car guys in town... Period. They do everything from regular service to rebuilding or replacing a transmission and anything in between.

Worst place EVER! They were supposed to put a rebuilt engine into my car. Instead they put a broke down engine into my car and messed up my transmission. Not only that but they left me completely in the dark about what was going on for a week! They are used by Family Auto too so beware.

I bought a Groupon for my brakes front and rear, when I booked appointment was told change pads and rear linings. Just now found out, they did not replace the rear linings but just adjusted them. On check out I asked if all were replaced and told replaced with new. Dishonest !
