Bummed about them closing out this location. This was my fav place to go for car related repairs.I have changed my brake rotors here, for a very reasonable price, just hourly labor $90 is all they charged.Next time I went for a diagnosis for an engine sound my car was making, the Hyundai dealer service on woodruff kept my car for 4 days and couldnt figure out the problem.Took for a diagnosis here and turns out the engine oil was low. These guys even filled engine oil and didnt charge me anything extra, the diagnosis charge is all I paid. They had to lift my car, try to understand the sound, go on a test ride for me to show them. And turns out it was the low engine oil. Funny that this simple problem Hyundai service on woodruff couldnt figure out.But overall I really trust these guys, they even had a marine/army person who worked part time as a repair tech coz he really liked fixing cars. I will catch you guys on mauldin. Thank you for being good to people.

Friendly front desk employee Crystal made me feel at home and welcome. They were able to pick up tires and change them the same day. Alignment has proven well so far and I even got a follow-up text from mechanic Jeremy to see if everything was working properly. Would recommend although be prepared for a potentially long wait if your car is serviced on a busy day. Luckily there are many places to eat at within walking distance if you get hungry while waiting.

I had my front brakes pads, two rotors, and my power steering pump repaired by Al and Ben. They kept it professional and genuine. The job on my car was a class A performance and the price didnt hurt the pockets either. To put this bluntly, my experience was better than my expectations, I think yours will be to.

Tremendous service. I came to pick up a uhaul truck, but my bank prevented me from completing the transaction twice. The front desk staff was extremely patient and polite until it all came through correctly.

I was recommended to Zarks by en employee of Jiffy Lube. I had inherited a very nice car & needed to get it checked out since it hadn’t been driven in approximately 8 months, yet, didn’t want to pay the premium car price @ the dealership. Needless to say I’ve been taking, now my daughters, BMW & my Sequoia to Zarks for the last year or so for oil changes, tire issues & various other issues. As a matter of fact I took the BMW in for a restraint malfunction that was showing on the dashboard just the other day. I walked in prepared to pay $1k+ to have it fixed. I walked out a little over $100 out of pocket!! They do great work, have great pricing & are super friendly. It doesn’t hurt that they provide coffee & have the DIY channel on in the waiting room. 😁

This place is the BEST to get your vehicle fix... My alternator stop working out of no where while driving up I85 from Atlanta to Maryland, I had no idea where I was or what I was gonna do.. It was the weekend on a Saturday to top it off.... It was around 7:15am when I pulled off the exit... I Googled the closest shop to me and Sarks Greenville Auto Repair was one of the shops that pulled up.... I called them and told them my situation and they said they could HELP me so I headed straight there before my truck died... With in min (7:35am) they had my truck in the shop repairing the problem and had me back on the road a few hours later (10:45am)... I cant say enough good things about this place and the people that work there. They were very professional and understanding and great at what they do..... I highly recommend this shop if you need repairs done on your car or truck... I truly cant say how thankful I am to EVERYONE for how fast you got my truck in and back out on the road To finish my 12hr ride to Maryland.... They were honest and didnt try to hammer me & over charge me cuz I was from out of town... Thank you all for helping me out when I was in a sticky situation I cant express how thankful I am that you guys were able to get me back on the road so fast...You guys truly saved the day and made a Super stressful situation so much better, you all were very professional, you guys are the BEST 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Not only did these hacks not change the oil in my car when I took it there to be changed, they didnt even bother to put the oil cap back on, which could have destroyed the engine. pathetic. DO NOT go there.

Full disclosure, I utilized Greenville Auto Repair in the past several times and I was always happy with the results. A little pricier than some other mechanics I could go to, but I trusted them to do a fine job.The reason for a 1 star review is because of my latest visit. My wifes car was making a grinding sound whenever she turned left. It had been doing this for a few months so we took it to GAR to get it checked out. They call us back within a couple hours to inform us that the struts are shot, and that wed have to get them replaced for about $775, which was of course a shock. We were going to take the car back in the following Monday to get the work done and just bite the bullet on the costs. Thankfully, I mentioned the repairs to my father-in-law, who called his trusted mechanic at Cobb Tire to price the repairs. His mechanic said hed do it for about $300 cheaper, which is great, but not the reason for the 1 star review.After leaving the car at Cobb Tire, within a few hours they called to tell us that the struts were PERFECTLY FINE, and that the noise was caused by a bent piece of plastic rubbing on the tire. A $20 repair. So the reason for the 1 star review is because GAR were either too lazy to actually look under the car, or they purposely were gouging us for $800, because any halfway competent mechanic wouldnt misdiagnose a bent piece of plastic as crappy struts if they actually took a look. Either way, there is no way Ill be a customer of theirs again.

Do NOT go to Sarks!! They do unnecessary repairs.I had booked an appointment for my car for a loud noise in BACK. Dropped car off and they called me and asked for me to come back to drive with mechanic to explain the noise. I set up time with them to come back at 7:30 am (when they open) to drive with mechanic due to my busy work schedule. (Note - this was during the start of virus shutdowns but they are especially business but did not have a lot of business.)They did not show up until 8:10am to open the shop. No call to let me know they were running late. The women that booked this time forgot they had a meeting at other store. They did not apologize either! They should have called since she booked the time. This should have told me they were very unprofessional.I asked the mechanic to sit behind me, since he wanted me to drive and since the noise was coming from in BACK of the car.After we started to drive, the mechanic told me he is partially deaf and could not hear the noise in back. It was loud to me and i was in front of him. He kept mentioning a noise he heard in front and I said no, it is in back. Finally he agreed with me and said he heard it.BUT the repairs he did were not in back, the were in front! I drove off and my car felt like it was loose, shaking and terrible after paying over $1500 for a repair job. Called them and they took it back in again (3rd trip) they said they agreed with how loose it felt. The 1st mechanic Brett had put the incorrect arm bushings on the front of the car. He also replaced front brakes ( again, nothing in back as i said noise was in back). When i said the noise in back was still there, they said “since they put new brakes on the front, that the noise would go away after the brakes are broken in.”Took my car to my hometown shop (different state), and still had noise after this long trip, my hometown repair shop heard the noise right away (the reason I booked the appointment with Sarks). They told me my back brake pads were dangerously low!!! They fixed them and the noise is fixed.Bottom line, I spend over $1,522.73 on unnecessary repairs that were not completed correctly plus a lot of unnecessary time. This is a month’s salary for me! I guess since they needed business and money, they took advantage of me.Very unprofessional and NOT GOOD mechanics at SARKs.Stay away!!!!

I was new to Greenville when my car broke down. Had it towed there on a whim and it was the best possible decision. They are all very honest and fair. They went above and beyond to help me and even gave me a ride home. They are more than willing to work with you and make sure your needs are met.

I can’t say enough good things about Sark’s and team here. We were in town from Atlanta when the water pump on my 2011 Jeep had to be replaced along with the serpentine belt. The guys here were able to fix the problems same day and even stayed late to make sure we could get home. I wish this shop was closer to home and would highly recommended them if you live in the area.

Here is the deal with these guys. Theyre great. They kept me informed, gave me an estimate and explained exactly what they were going to do and WHY.I had to be at work that night, I work late shift, and they gave me a ride home so I could sleep while they worked on my car.Now here is the cool part. I drive an old car. 92 Olds to be specific. Most of the parts are original and still in awesome working order. However, when this belt was starting to go (original part btw) it took a little more elbow grease and old school car know how than the younger guys had, so they brought in an expert on older cars. I believe it was their dad. It was awesome. It was like my car taught the kids something new. Ha!Anyway, they fixed it, didnt try to charge me extra and its runs awesome.I highly recommend.

I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. The guys treat my husband and I like family and take care of our vehicles like they are their own! Reasonably priced and they always try to get our cars back to us as soon as possible. Only keep them long enough to make sure they are running correctly! A#1!!

I took my BMW X5 there to get checked out for a cylinder 2 misfire. 2 days later I get a call that they did another diagnostics test and it may be the head gaskets possibly a new engine and that there were more than one cylinder misfires from a tech named Drew. I had the car towed to another place and they did a diagnostic and it was only an engine coil for 1 of the cylinders and the engine was great and the compression test was great and there was nothing wrong with the head gaskets or the engine. They obviously did not diagnose the car properly and clearly did not know what they were talking about. I ended up paying them $90 for not correctly doing their job and for a misdiagnosed vehicle that would of ended up costing me thousands if I didnt get a second opinion from a true professional who was honest and upfront. Stay away from this place unless you dont care about honesty and integrity or if you dont mind receiving false information about your vehicle.

I dread going to new auto repair shops, but my first visit to Greenville Auto Repair was actually enjoyable! I worked on my laptop in the waiting room (which features a Keurig!) and had pleasant conversation with Roseann while I waited. I had a check engine light on and needed a headlight replaced. They brought me out into the garage to explain what needed to be done with my car, which was nice. I was definitely treated fairly and respectfully. Ill be going back for all of my regular service and will definitely recommend to my friends.

Great service, excellent technical explanations with no up selling pressure. Good amenities with free coffee, snacks, air conditioning, and big screen running ESPN if you have to wait at the shop. I took a car here for a pre-purchase inspection. The staff was exceptionally friendly and willing to help. The service was timely, detailed, and fairly priced. For inspections, most shops just have the front desk person communicate what the mechanic found, but here, they had the mechanic explain in person what they found, which was really helpful. Would recommend this shop to anyone.

I took my Chevy Avalanche in for an oil change on 4/18 and was pleasantly that this is a FULL Service shop. My A/C wasnt working and they were able to basically rebuild the entire system in less than a day. Hats off to Jeremy and the team.

Three trips in less than two weeks, over $1100, a vehicle that we were able to drive approximately two miles from their shop before having to leave it to be towed and nothing done to make even some of this right. What they did do, however, was arrogantly argue with my husband who was asking only to be refunded for the cost of the misdiagnosis...not the entire billed amount, threaten to have him ARRESTED if he did not leave their business and then after becoming seemingly more reasonable, promised to look further into the problem, be back in touch the following day and failed to do so. We were not new customers, but ones who were loyal with routine maintenance and needed repairs on no less than four vehicles at a time for over a decade. Greenville Auto Repair has shown no respect or appreciation for their customers and certainly no care for the safety or reliability of the vehicles their customers trust them to do just that for.***Update...kudos to the Mauldin location of Greenville Auto Repair for all they did in making this right. Wow! I was lead to come to Sarks after seeing an ad for a free inspection. They found a few minor things that needed attention. Then a few days ago my car started to shake and had a hard time going up hills. So I took it to Sarks...praying that there wasnt something wrong with the motor or transmission! I was so thankful when Al told me I needed a tune-up. Well the next day I went back and they did the work much faster then I thought! They didnt charge me anything like the car dealers charge and do just as good work. I am really pleased with these guys. Give them a try...you wont be disappointed! We sent our Jeep Liberty this place. Great experience! The ladies hooked me up with very affordable and timely towing over the phone, because we couldnt get the Jeep going. They found the electrical problem after 1 day of troubleshooting, and had it repaired the next day for cheap!I had called around before them after being given references to other Jeep folks. Although, they just didnt have the reviews these people had. So, I trusted the google reviews, and went with it.

Staff is friendly and efficient. I went in for an oil change and they took me out to show me the inspection points and let me know everything looked in order. That is the first time in a long time, that someone didnt attempt to sell me something i didnt need.

I went to Grenville Auto Repair with a broken gas line. The guy at the counter gave me his personal cell number to text if I had any question. They fixed my car right the first time, in a reasonable time frame. I Highly recommend Grenville Auto Repair for all your car service needs.

My fiancé recently took my car here, after I found out I had a major oil leak. They said they would be able to fix it that day. Two days later I left for a road trip to visit family for the holidays. I noticed oil leaking from the supposedly fixed car. Needless to say they didn’t fix what they said they fixed and broke a sensor in the process. When my father saw what was going on once I got home, he contacted the owner who proceed to show no concern for my safety in my vehicle, that they apparently fixed. I do not recommend this shop. The staff on site are friendly but that’s about it.

They have been taking care if my cars for 7 years at this location and at the one in Mauldin. They always do a great job for a reasonable price.

Having recently moved here I was worried about finding an honest and competent repair shop. I cannot say enough about how lucky I was to find Greenville Auto Repair. I was in a bind when the car broke down dealing with family emergency,(my mother had been hospitalized) and they treated me like family. They fixed my car quickly and $300.00 under the estimate. Oil was changed quickly. Loved sitting and having a keurig coffee while I waited. Very friendly, honest staff. Advised me when to get things handled and when I could wait.

Wont go back. Went in and they diagnosed the problem and said I needed a new fuse box. They removed a few fuses and said I could still drive (all functions where fuses were removed continued to work though which confused me). I had good experiences previously (and frankly dont know much about cars) and trusted them. But after 6 weeks of waiting for the fuse box to arrive (and multiple calls), I took the car somewhere else. They actually figured out what the problem was and got it corrected in a day.

I highly reccomend this shop for those going through the Upstate area. Service was extremely fast and accurate! Best believe Ill be returning for more services in the near future.

When I first moved to Greenville five and a half years ago, I took my car there for a routine oil change, and from that first experience until now, I have never received anything but the best care for my vehicles--they know what they are doing! In addition to their professionalism and integrity, I love GARs warm client care, honest advice, and meticulous attention to detail. Theyve never done anything to my vehicle without first consulting me, and Ive never paid for anything that I did not approve/understand. If they ever make a mistake (which is extremely rare, but no company is perfect all the time), they will bend over backwards to make it right. I cannot recommend them more highly, and I have referred friends to them who have been equally pleased with their services!

I went to GAR during a snowstorm with my window stuck open. They were wonderful, fixed it quickly and didnt even charge me. The waiting area is lrg, clean, good coffee, wifi, tv and a kids table with lots of books. Oh, and if you happen to drive a Subaru the mechanic is very knowledgeable. By my experience Id bet they do great work on everything because they really care and take pride in their work. Im in town visiting but my daughter will make GAR her go to garage. By far the best experience Ive had at an auto repair shop! Glad I found it.

Very friendly staff. Upon hearing how bad the oil leak on my car was they were able to move some things around to fit me in and looked at my car within minutes of my arrival,diagnose the problem and fix it. I also really like that they bring you into the shop to show you the problem and are not making it up. Very good experience. Definitely recommend this place.

This locations is under a new name and management. Sarks Automotive. Someone selling coupons for them came to my work where a lot of driving is done. My mananger bought some from him and I was interested in finding someone other than the dealership to change the oil on my 4x4 SUV that has skid plates on the bottom that need to be removed when doing work on the vehicle. I can only assume the oil change itself was done satisfactorily, however my skid plate rattled for days until I had the time and the daylight to tighten the 10 mm bolts myself at home. This place advertises high end certification of its technicians, but if they cant bolt a skid plate back onto a Jeep without the bolts almost falling off ..... they have no business advertising how Certified their technicians are. After some basic research and equipment purchasing from Amazon, Ill be doing my own oils changes from now on. Skid plate removal, and proper replacement included.

Would like to share a terrible service experience on 10-6-2014. I decided to take advantage of the free oil changes that was given to me by giving a referral to someone, and now Im regretting actually recommending this place. I brought in my car in perfect conditions with it never been leaking any oil. At the moment of them taking the oil drain plug out they broke the thread of the drain plug pan, making it completely lose its thread. The repair they did to make up for their error was put a bigger temporary drain plug. Even with THEM breaking my oil drain plug pan, they still had the nerve to charge me for THEIR error and to tell me that the fixture was temporary and that I had the risk that THEIR repair wasnt gonna last very long.P.S. Be very careful and attentive in taking your car to this shop because they will always have an excuse to charge you for something, like tearing up your car and then charging you for it.
