They re-insulated my attic with blown insulation, gave a good price and did an excellent job. My electric bill this summer has been down by 30%. Would recommend.

After having new windows installed in February and new HVAC installed in March, I still had some issues with keeping heat in my home. I knew the reason was bc of my attic/knee wall access areas. He went above and beyond to not only insulate these areas but he made sure the returns were sealed also. Called in his friend Ross King (Even Air) who has a HVAC biz to make sure everything was being done properly at no extra cost! Also he is a certified contractor for Duke so I was eligible for 350$$ In rebates!!! He did all the filing for me. Very happy I called Dean.

I hired Benton Green Energy roughly 3 years ago. While there were initial issues with some of the work performed, I have been impressed with Deans commitment to excellence. It seems he will not rest until the job is done right. His level of communication and desire to provide quality work is refreshing. He has assured me he would rectify the problems.Update: Benton Green Energy took care of all previous issues, and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with this company.

Dean was very professional and thoughtful of what my need was. Looked at everything in the house to make sure I wasnt wasting power in other unnecessary areas. President (Dean) was very nice and worked on the site with his crew. Something you dont see much of anymore. They made a great effort to keep my floors clean and free of any insulation that they may have brought in on their feet. Setup site was left the same way it was when they started. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone!!

Dean is a class act. Professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and genuinely interested in making sure your specific needs are met. From day one he was quick to respond to our call, showed up on time to give a thorough inspection and quote, and put together a detailed estimate with multiple options for us to review and choose from, based on our family need and our budget.There are certainly some additional services/materials he *could’ve* pushed us into and we wouldn’t have known the difference. Not only did he avoid the pressured sales tactic and up-selling, he actually worked with us on the initial pricing to make sure we could get done what we needed to make a safer environment for our young family in an affordable way.When the job was officially scheduled, he showed up on time and he even intentionally took time to meet our dog and make her comfortable enough to share the space together, while he was to work in the house all day. As for the job, he made sure things were done as he stated they would be and he definitely went above and beyond for us without looking to add extra charges for things that probably deserved it. I mean, he even took our dog outside a few times throughout the day and made sure she was taken care of, while he was on the job!! Incredible. On top of that, he took time to show me his work, made sure I was happy and free of concern or question. He educated and made us feel comfortable with the entire process from start to finish.We’ve only been in the house a few hours since the work was completed and we’re already noticing the difference! But he even followed up with me just a few minutes ago with a personal message to thank me for my business and to make sure things were feeling better. And if all the above isn’t enough, he’s also helping on the back end to ensure we get an energy rebate back from our electric company!We will absolutely use him for additional work in the future, we’ll recommend him to others, and, honestly, we’ll probably invite him over some time to play with our dog, since she loved him. Dean was helpful in understanding what was best for our home insulation. He did not quote any more than what I asked for during the visit. He answered questions after the quote was issued in a timely manner. When they did the work, they were efficient and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Dean for all your energy efficiency needs.

Working with Dean was a great experience! He showed up when he said he would, did the work he said he would in the amount of time he said it would take, and for the price that we had agreed on (which was substantially less than his competitors). He did his best to mitigate the dust (which my wife was concerned about), and he cleaned up the interior and exterior before leaving. Dean and Brandon took the time to seal the attic penetrations with spray foam before blowing in the new insulation which is one of the most important things according to what I read online. Again, its hard to imagine being more satisfied with a provider. Thanks Dean!

Great job and better price then the other 2 companies I contacted. Had my pest guy, who also installs dehus and barriers, look over it after the fact and he said it was a beautiful job. Benton and his guys were on time, took time to discuss everything and our hardwoods un-tightened in a couple weeks. Its been a year and we are very pleased!

Benton Green Energy is a rare find! Finding a contractor that not only meets expectations but exceeds them is quite rare these days. We had another contractor start and not finish a job. We contacted Benton. They were able to finish the job- even better than we thought it could be finished. They showed up on time - even in the rain ** quickly finished the job ** and kindly responded when we had an issue.

The insulation did not work as promised. Also left house very very messy. There was insulation pieces everywhere, in my paint brushes, books, cupboards, light fixtures, drapes , down in baskets, anything that was sitting out. Also on the furniture including the bed. The workers did not clean this up they did vacuum some of the dust made from drilling. We were left having to clean every surface including washing all the bed linens - took days . The workers were friendly but that doesn’t make up for the mess that was left. Dean the owner was not present on this job.

Id give less than a star if I could. Dean Benton did the load rating for the house I built and moved into earlier this year. Base on his report the house was equipped with an A/C unit that is way under powered for the square footage I have. I cant say it doesnt operate within Deans math and science but like a computer, garbage in - garbage out. The system will not hold temperatures on hot days and on normal days it cant even control the humidity enough to keep the house comfortable.Now my house is less than a year old and I am going to have to replace my A/C system at my expense.Run dont hide.

Very professional, nice guy, and easy to do business with. He offered several options without trying to push the expensive stuff on you. He did exactly what we agreed to, and did it in a timely manner.

Did a great job insulating our attic! Kept usual high cooling bills way under normal. Completed job earlier than expected. Very busy, though. Used him as well for under the house insulation (well done) and hvac, though he subcontracts the HVAC and we had some problems with the HVAC guy.

Scope of project involved removing old attic insulation, air sealing attic, installing new insulation in attic beyond basic recommended levels, air sealing leaks from basement to living space, air sealing duct work, HERS rating, and calculating appropriate HVAC size. All work was completed in timely manner. Response from contractor was quick. Work was performed well. No complaints. If you are considering adding/updating your insulation you should go through Benton Energy and not the normal contractor network. Quotes from normal insulation providers were roughly the same in cost, but they could not provide the additional benefit of air sealing, providing a HERS rating, and cannot get you a rebate with Duke Energy. I would recommend Benton Energy for your home insulation work, and more.

I contacted Benton Green Energy after I noticed my electric bills were climbing and my heat pumps seemed to run very frequently despite a low set temperature. On very cold nights, I was unable to get my 2600sqft home warmer than 62. I got a quick response and Dean came out to my home to check out what my problem might be. I had inadequate insulation in the very large attic space and crawl space. Fiberglass batts were undersized and falling out from between joists. I had extra insulation added under the house and more blown into the attic. Any concerns I had were addressed promptly. Prices were so good I didnt even bother shopping around, especially since I can get a $250 rebate through Duke Energy. As an added bonus, he used more eco friendly products, so I have no chemical smells or dust problems that Ive read about in reviews from other people having similar work done. Ive attached data from one of our Ecobee thermostats from before and after insulation. Clearly what he did worked as the heat pump is kicking on much less often even despite lower outside temperatures. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to anyone who was interested in increasing the energy efficiency of their home.
