Susan Mathisen cost me alot of money. She did my taxes wrong and wound up costing me 7000 more. When I tried to get in touch with her to tell her about this, no call back. She is not knowledgeable about tax laws or anything. I think basically she is just prepares taxes. She told me to get a LLC but then she gave me wrong information about that which cost me even more money and time. Now I find out through another accountant that I did not need one. Seems like she lingered around my house longer bc she was billing me hourly. A big waste of time and money.

March 22, 2020 - Think 5-times over before using this worthless business - a complete disaster - Susan Mathisen is not knowledgeable of the current tax laws that I was dealing with nor the The Cares Act, and was completely incompetent in processing my single PPP Loan; she wasted over 2-hours of my time in her office, plus 3+hours at my bank and another 3-hours cancelling my loan (8-hours total). I finally learned that her decisive inaccurate actions would surely have totally dissolved and discontinued all of my monthly $3,221.00 in Unemployment Insurance income, in exchange for a one-time only payout of a PPP Loan for $2,795.00 that I would have to repay. She charged me $200.00 for her incompetent actions. Susan Mathisen placed me in incredible financial harms way and financial risk, and almost succeeded in dissolving ALL of my future Unemployment Insurance benefits via TWC and the Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) thru the Texas Workforce Commission, and benefits therewith, by filing for a PPP Loan with my bank that I qualified for, but had to immediately cancel. She does not know what she is legally doing and is totally incoherent and incompetent to the rules and laws that I was dealing with, yet she charged me $200.00 for same. Stay away from this lady at your own future risk and peril. Dont know where she got her license or diploma, but it seems very watered down due to her complete lack of research and non-apparent knowledge of the tax codes , laws, etc. that governed my situation. BEWARE! She did refund my $200.00 overcharge to save an inquiry with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy; however, she told me that my wasted time was not as valuable as her billable rate per hour and refused to compensate me for my billable rate, my lost time, my lack of productivity, multiple trips to her office, etc. What a tool and loser she is! Im considering Civil Action against her in the courts for her her blatant and incomprehensible conduct. Walk away immediately so that you dont go thru this unbelievable chaos that she has caused me with no resolve but the Courts..
