I have been bringing my old beat up vehicle to this establishment for the last 5 years. All the work they have done for me has been solid and they have never tried to upsell or sneak in extra repairs. Because of the age and mileage of my vehicle needing repairs is a foregone conclusion. That being said everything that they have fixed, has stayed fixed. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for repairs as I will continue to bring my vehicle in.

I have been using Family Tire to service my cars ever since I moved to Texas thirty one years ago. Their service has always been wonderful. On this last visit my daughter went to get the oil change in her car. At Family Tire they always go the extra mile to check over everything and make sure there are no problems. I feel like they are keeping me and my children safe.

This place exceeded all expectations, I just moved to Texas with no family here. My car battery cable snapped, I called them and for my car towed to them and my car was fixed the same day. Howard, David, Cody and Edward were all great! I will definitely be back and would recommend them!

This place was amazing, staff was so nice.I just needed a tire fixed but the manager ( i think) was a very friendly person and didnt wast no time helping me out.

I needed some 1930 Model A tires mounted and so this was not a normal service. They did an excellent job just as I requested. Actually, I was referred to them by another tire shop in town that said they couldnt do it and that Family Tire would do a better job. And they did.

Service is 5 STAR! They went above and beyond for me on a crazy Sat. morning. Ran a few tests, diagnosed it and had me back on the road by 11:00 am. I am so happy to have found a knowledgeable and fair priced auto shop.They were recommended to me and I highly recommend them to anyone reading this. Definitely a auto shop find! As a former employee I would stay away! Owner is a cool guy and really trying to turn the business around but management is bad. 1 because I quit I WAS NOT PAID for the work performed earlier in the week. Manager is cheap will use the cheapest parts to fix your vehicle. Consistent arguments in the shop, no shop supplies to the point that Ive personally had a customer go get me shop supplies out of their own pocket so I could finish their car. Would not recommend!! Mechanics are great but bad management will ruin a shop. Will be posting this review to Yelp, Facebook and other media sites

Howard at Family Tire has been our mechanic for years. I trust him to take care of our needs. He goes above and beyond. We recently bought a used car- took it to Family Tire to have it checked out. Howard told us what was wrong and walked us through going back to the dealer to fix the problems. I would highly recommend Family Tire!! Broke down while I was in the area. Was recommended for honesty. They did fix my car seem to be an average price charged but the sign says if we run diagnostics and dont do the work youre charged. They get to work and charge me for diagnostics. Dont think thats honest especially when they have the sign up.

Had a vibration in my truck. They accurately diagnosed that my drive shaft needed to be rebuilt and carrier bearing needed replaced. Did all the work in a timely manner at a very fair price. Howard, took good care of me.

Family Tire destroyed my vehicle and left me stranded. I took my car in for a routine oil change. The next day a main bearing blew in my engine (judging by the noise engine is making) and my car is totaled. My 2014 Kia Sorento with 130,000 miles was running excellent yesterday. I drove across town today and on my way home, the engine blew and the car died. There are obvious signs of an oil leak both in the intersection where it died and in my parking spot at home. I had the car towed back to Family Tire and gave them the opportunity to resolve this issue. I showed them photos of the oil leak and the warning light indicators. They deny they did anything wrong and take no responsibility. Family Tire says it’s a coincidence that the engine blew on my vehicle the day after they serviced it. I am now out $11,000 because I took my vehicle to Family Tire.

Super duper expensive I call for a tire replacement they told me is a 35.00 dollars per tire not mentioned the person at the phone whas talking to rude. Nope defnely Im not recommend this place to any body.

Needed struts swapped over to custom application on holiday weekend at last minute - no one was willing to help. Came here and was greeted kindly and told no problem - they called back in an hour with completed job and price was better than most that said it would be 3 days or so. Thank you for helping a brother out of a jam!

I have used Family Tire for years for all 3 of our cars. I have spent a huge amount of money over the years. I have always thought Howard was very honest and helpful. However the last few times I have been there, he seems like it’s a bother that we need car repairs. Just this weekend, a friend needed a new alternator and asked for a recommendation. I immediately referred him to Family Tire with glowing personal reviews. First, they kept the car for nearly 2 days for 4 hours of work and didn’t communicate with him at all, he had to repeatedly reach out to Howard for updates. Second, when he finally picked up his car and drove off as they were closing on a Friday night, his car started making a loud shaking and rattling noise. Upon arriving home he discovered a nut/bolt completely off of his tire and after finding it laying inside somewhere, he tried putting it back on with no tools. He called Howard on Saturday to have him say we wouldn’t have done that plus he didn’t ever remove the nuts/bolts and showed no concern whatsoever. He told my friend to bring it back and if he had time he would look at it. He was there the following Monday waiting on them to look at it. They tightened it up and after no apologies or anything he basically maintained they would have never done that. I can say, Howard and Family Tire just lost my family as loyal, long time customers. I will not take any of our cars there again nor recommend them. Obviously my friend will not either. I’m shocked by this as I never had this type of experience with Howard before. I’m actually embarrassed that I even recommended them. It seems the good repairs and customer service have declined over the years. Maybe a little more effort at customer service will go a long way.

The shop changed my oil on a truck that been sitting for several years and had water in the oil. Howard had the oil drained into a bucket to see how much water was in the oil. I like how these guy go above and beyound.

Decently priced, friendly service. 3 Stars because I caught them trying to get me to purchase an unnecessary service that I was able to do at home.

They claim to have changed my brakes for $200 but two weeks later they were grinding on the driver side. I took my truck to Kwik Kar and they said that there’s no way the driver’s side was changed out. Kwik Kar took care of my brake pads and new rotars for $250. Don’t trust these people with your vehicle. They are sneaky and over charge. Trust all the bad reviews and go to Kwik Kar instead!!

Walked in, took a few mins for someone to even say hi even though there were 3-4 guys at the counter. Had a flat repaired. Didnt even inflate to right PSI when I left. I had to stop and reinflate my self at quick trip, due to time constraints didnt bother going back. My tire still says it loses air as days go by. Makes me think they didnt even patch it up. And if they did, did they notice extra damage that they didnt bother mentioning or patching? I dont know. Ive been to other shops and are sure to show me where I had the flat and the patch as well if I needed a new tire. As soon as I have a free afternoon will take to Discount Tire to check it out again. It hurt to pay $20 for that service.

These guys are total rip-off artists. My vehicle went in with one problem and came out with 4 new ones. While fixing the initial problem they carelessly (or more likely purposefully) broke several other parts. They refuse to make it right without charging an additional three times more money than I already paid them for the initial repair, which wasnt exactly cheap to begin with. Now my vehicle is still in need of a very costly repair, and Im out a significant amount of money. Do not go here if you value honesty, your vehicle, and your money.

1/4 screw was removed from the middle of the tire...hole was plugged by mechanic who stated that it held in place.30 mins. later & 15 miles away, the tire was flat again.Thank but no thanks!!!

I would have to agree with many of the comments here regarding a general lack of professionalism.When I walked in, I was asked how I could be helped and, after stating I was inquiring about an alignment, a piece of paper was placed in front of me without a word said. After filling out a few lines of the intake form, I was aked for my key. No mention of wait time, price...generally lacking in communication.While waiting, I witnessed another customer get cashed out and, upon going out to her newly-repaired vehicle, she discovered a crack in the windshield. When she came back into the office to report it, her technician was repeatedly saying Damn! this and Damn! that (presumably because he knew hed caused it and was upset with himself), with little regard to the impression he was making on his customer or others within earshot.The owner was there during my visit, too. He was generally cocky and unprofessional, but in a manner I would imagine he thinks is charming with female customers. One woman asked if the place was still under the same ownership it had been, and he responded Youre lookin at him.; another woman (presumably an employee) was picking up a check and as she left he told her it was a pleasure to see me. He just had a very schwarmy demeanor. Made me kind of regret giving him my business.As far as how my service ended up... and as to why I still gave this establishment a four star review... my cars allignment ended up being handled by a technician who was by far the most professional and courteous to me and other patrons of anyone Id witnessed in my wait. Matthew went above and beyond to ensure my alignment was not just to spec, but to his personal satisfaction. He greeted other customers as he passed through the waiting area, customers who had been ignored by the person at the desk since theyd walked in. If there is a reason to go here for automotive repair, its Matthew.
