I never thought I would get sugared. It always terrified me because I thought it would be too painful....A couple weeks ago I was feeling brave and went in to see Jessica a sugarist here. She was great. It didnt hurt as much as I thought it would...it was a bit unpleasant and she was super patient with me while I had to regain my composure a couple times. I am so pleased with the results and cant wait until my next appointment later this month :)

Sphinx is a beautiful salon with friendly staff. I was a first time client last week for my very first Brazilian wax. Overall, it was a good experience but I would have liked to be kept informed throughout the wax. I would have liked to know what was coming up next, which places were the toughest etc. It also wasnt until the following few days that I noticed small patches of hair that got missed. I am glad to have had this experience, but the end result was not worth the price.

I have never done any type of body hair removal besides shaving at home, so I was very nervous to get sugared today. I imagined it would be so awkward having a complete stranger be in your very personal space, but Helen made me feel so comfortable as soon as we got started. She was so professional and did a fantastic job. Thanks Helen!

Such an excellent experience! I’ve only had a Brazilian twice- once traditional waxing at another local high end waxing salon and then sugaring at Sphynx. Not only was sugaring a more pleasant experience, but I was left with less irritation and no ingrowns- amazing!I also had a spray tan. Compared to mystic tan and other spray tans I’ve had elsewhere the spray tan here was superior in color, comparable in price and lasted MUCH longer.Theresa and her team are all wonderful, professional and made me feel comfortable the entire time. Even taking the extra time to advise on preventative measures to curb ingrowns. Now more than ever is the time to support your locally owned small businesses and I will be coming back!

I had taken advice and starting sugaring a few times before my wedding to see how my sensitive skin would react. I loved the results! They lasted a long time and my skin barely got red and was so smooth! A couple weeks before my wedding date they called to reschedule my appt that was only a few days away because the person I was seeing was no longer working there. They pushed it a week before my wedding which was a super busy time for me but I completely understood.Unfortunately the results this go around were terrible. I had patchiness and some areas where I could still grab onto the hairs and pull. I couldn’t move my schedule around anymore to make a emergency touch up appointment nor did I think they would even have availability for it now being short a waxer and most importantly I had no idea how my sensitive skin would react to two Brazilians in a week. So I ended up shaving before my wedding which is exactly the opposite of what I wanted after my sugaring experience the whole entire summer.

The best place to get hair removal! Instead of using wax which is unhealthy for the skin they use Sugar! Made of Sugar, Lemon juice and water! Instead of shaving have smooth skin for weeks by coming down to Sphinx!I love it!
