Comfort Air installed the entire system in new construction 3 1/2 years ago. As luck would have it the air conditioning quit during the worst heat of summer! Called the company and talked to the Service Advisor/Scheduler. After a quick conversation, he felt comfortable with a possible diagnosis. I was advised scheduling was two weeks out (which I expected) but also advised they could have someone stop by in a couple days to check his theory out. The repairman showed up on time and very quickly found it was indeed the part the Advisor thought. He had the part with him and the A/C was QUICKLY up and running! We are VERY satisfied.

My daughter called this company to access her heating unit. Service tech came, reviewed and believed it was fire striker and a plugged filter, which could be inside the house. Someone other than the homeowner and the individual who places the service request told the technician they did not need to come in to access the filter and the people whom lived there could do it. The service technician did not contact the homeowner to discuss the assessment/issues until after he had left the property and took the word of the individual that was not the homeowner. After he left the property he than called my daughter and explained what was wrong and what this other individual told him about not needing him to fix/access the filter. Two calls were places to the company to discuss the concern as it was made clear from beginning she knew nothing about the unit and needed it accessed and fixed. The service Manager/Owner of this company was rude, didnt listen to the concerns and stated, The problem was fixed, have a good day and charged over 100.00 for the service call. My daughters house was 50 degrees this morning and has pets in the house. I am just thankful there were no children in the home. I would not recommend this company to anyone and cannot believe that a local company would treat a customer this way. I would expect that from a big corporate company, but not a local one. Please be cautious when you need a repair technician. I gave 1 star because you cannot post a review unless you pick at least 1 star.

I utilized Comfort Airs services at a recommendation of a friend when I purchased my home. Last year at cooler shut down they removed the belts from my cooler, broke my drain plug and left it completely filled with sediment. The tech did not mention a thing to me. He also forgot to put the cover up on the inside of my house after placing the pillow to prevent airflow. I hired someone else this year to provide the service operating under the assumption that everything was fine. I was surprised to start receiving photos from the tech on my roof showing me the state of my cooler after he removed my cooler cover. I would not recommend their services and if you have been utilizing them to get someone to check your cooler for damages.

Within the span of 30 days, Comfort Air has replaced two AC units, two inside coils and a furnace. They worked with our home owners warranty to get us coverage and matched their price on a furnace to get it here faster. The problem with the furnace explains an issue we’ve had since we moved in. Other companies would just say ‘nope, no gas leak’ but comfort air found the actual problem and got our home-owners warranty people to cover it.

I am so glad I contacted Comfort Air. They were wonderful to work with and saved me a ton of money! I originally had another company out to see why my furnace quit working, they said I needed to replace the unit and quoted me over $4000 to do so. With the unit barely over 5 years old, I decided to have another company check my furnace so I called Comfort Air to give me a second opinion. The gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable and friendly and quickly found I had a sensor that was disconnected and dirty. Within minutes, he had my system up and running, saving me thousands of dollars!!!! Ill definitely be calling them for all future work and recommending them to everyone.

I had Comfort Air come out and take a look at my furnace after getting extremely frustrated with the company that initially installed my unit just 7 years ago. The original HVAC company came out, diagnosed the issue, said this is the worst furnace we ever sold and proceeded to hand me a quote for an entire new one (~$8,000). Its very obvious and very ugly when techs are paid on commission!! Comfort Air took care of the issue in no time and were very professional about how they talked about the previous HVAC company. Thanks Carl!!

I talked to them about geothermal for a home that had been built 10 years prior. It did hire them and paid about $30,000. They said it sometimes took over a year for the soil to settle before I would see a difference in my heating bill. Its now 6-7 yrs later and there has been NO savings. Comfort Air has come out and insists it is working but bills remain same. I also had solar panels installed before the geothermal. Ive done a lot of research and I have learned that if geothermal isnt installed when the home is being built they cant install the big size blower and the smaller one eats up ALL the electricity produced by the solar panels. My only option at this point is to disconnect the geothermal completely and let the house run on the solar. I called them and they didnt make an appointment. I talked to them and the man apologized and promised I could pick a date and time and he would be there. I now live in Missouri and need them to go out when the realtor can meet them. They say they cant fit me in until next month (after Dec 11). When that wasnt acceptable they told me to find someone else and hung up on me. I think they were dishonest when they didnt tell me about the problems of an installation on an existing house and they did not provide good service when they wouldnt fit me in for another date. They were definitely rude to hang up on me.

We moved into our home this past March in Glenwood Springs. Comfort Air installed the heating/AC unit for the previous owner and has been maintaining the system since. They did service the system this Spring (as the previous owner had already paid for it) and they stated that they would give us a call this fall to service the system for the winter. They never called us and we had to initiate the conversation in early October. Then they gave a vague excuse about why they did call, but that they would call us back for a service date.Again, they never called back. We called a couple weeks later to schedule a date, but out of the blue they said that they would not renew our services b/c GWS was too far. This doesnt make any sense to me since they did service the system for the previous owner for many, many years. They said that they would find someone in our area and let us know a company that can service our system. Again, no call. The customer service, attitude, and overall experience with this company has been a disappointment to say the least. The run-around, lack of communication, and poor quality of communication when it does happen is unprofessional. Plus, to change their practice suddenly demonstrates their lack of commitment to their customers, service, and product. This company may be all smiles and have great communication to get someones business (again, the system was placed by the previous owner so I am speculating), but everything that I have experienced is the opposite. We are taking this into our own hands. It is a shame that it has come to this, knowing this information could have been brought to our attention several months ago.

IN RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: There was no one at our house working when I spoke with the owner. Someone arrived shortly after and left immediately; no work was performed on this day AT ALL. Yes, someone came out after hours but did NO WORK. We were told that in order for them to do any work, we would be charged time and a half, which we refused--so all they did was look at it. Yes, you did cause more damage by not CORRECTLY going through the steps to repair our unit. I spoke with Lennox manufacturer in Denver and that was also confirmed. No fans were offered the Saturday after. We were told to get some fans and they were sorry for us having to deal with the hot weather. We ended up borrowing fans and a portable cooler from our neighbors. Im not sure why anyone in their right mind would turn down fans/coolers, as you say we did, on a weekend where temperatures reached 96 degrees outside and inside our house was 92 degrees ESPECIALLY when I have a 3-year old child that I was MOST concerned for; to say that is a ridiculous lie. So when Comfort Air offered on Monday, we had already taken care of that ourselves. I was told on Monday morning, when I called at 8am, that the part would be ordered and they would call that day to let us know when they expected it to be in. We received NO call on Monday. When my husband called on Tuesday, the service manager laughed it off and said Oh yeah, I was just about to call you! Tuesday we did not get confirmation of an installation time, but were told that Wednesday they would call and let us know. 3pm Wednesday rolled around and we had heard nothing. Knowing that these people dont work past 4pm, we called to see what was up. Again, we were told oh yeah, I was just about to call you! I guess we must have impeccable timing in calling this company right before theyre about to call (eye roll). When I called to see where the HELL these people were after an hour of no-call, no-show on the morning of the scheduled repair, thats about the extent of my not-so-nice talk, the owner acted like they were nonchalantly going to get there; like no big deal that they were almost an hour late. I proceeded to tell the owner that I had spoken with NUMEROUS HVAC companies in the Valley and each said that they had heard their fair share of complaints about Comfort Airs poor quality work. That is a fact--if thats not-so-nice, consider doing better quality work so that you dont have that reputation among your HVAC peers. And yes I did threaten to stop payment on our original check. Im not paying for services that are not done correctly. And I sure wasnt going to let you keep that money when you told me you were not going to follow through on the warranty repair. Furthermore, when there is a leak in a cooler, you drain coolant, run dye through to locate the leak so that you can repair it, then you refill with coolant. It may take some time, but thats how you correctly fix a leak and avoid issues like this. You dont just add pressure and hope for the best, leave without knowing that its fixed and then act like a customers time doesnt matter. Thats poor business.

If I could give this company a negative star review, I would. They are deserving of NO STARS. Had a leak in our refrigerated air condenser unit (which Comfort Air had installed only 3 years prior. Several of our neighbors have also had problems with their A/C units, which were also installed by Comfort Air--that should be the FIRST sign of shotty work by this company). They dispatched a technician to our house who DIDNT EVEN INSPECT THE UNIT, but just said that there was a leak and proceeded to put leak stop and additional freon in to the unit. Low and behold, this was not the correct solution to the problem and they ended up turning a small leak into a large hole that RUINED our whole unit and which ended up needing replaced. When we called to ask the original technician to come out he told us that he doesnt work past 4pm and that we could call after hours but would be charged time and a half.Comfort Air eventually agreed to do the warranty replacement. I say agreed because thats about as good as it was going to get with these people. There was no remorse on behalf of these people for doing unprofessional work. We were told to get some fans and try to bear through it; temperatures in our house reached over 95 degrees. I explained to the owner AND service manager that I had a small child in the house that they seemed to not care about the EXTREMELY uncomfortable atmosphere of our home which, again, was THEIR FAULT. We were repeatedly told by the service manager that he would be in contact with us about the status of our replacement and let us know when they would schedule the repair; we never heard back from them. We repeatedly had to call them to get any information. Finally, the service manager told us that they would schedule the repair for 8am in the morning. My husband took the morning off work to wait around to be there for the repair. 8:50am rolled around and NO ONE showed up to install the unit. When I called to see where they were and why no one decided that a courtesy call was appropriate to let us know that they were going to be late, the owner proceeded to tell us that we could find another company to perform warranty work on the unit that THEY RUINED, and were then going to cancel their service call altogether and not stand behind their work; we paid $230.00 to this company for them to ruin our air conditioning and to not stand behind their unprofessional quality work. This weekend, temperatures here in the Grand Valley will reach over 100+ degrees. When I AGAIN explained to the OWNER that we have a small child in the house and that it will be SCORCHING in our house and Im concerned about her comfort, he said tough. DO NOT expect this company to do whats right. DO NOT expect this company to do professional quality work. What you can expect from them is that they will feel ENTITLED as a service company, even though you as a customer are PAYING them inflated fees to do terrible work, and treat you like your time, comfort and PAYING needs DONT MATTER.There are LOTS of other locally owned HVAC companies that I have since found that will perform warranty work and HAVE HAD to fix Comfort Airs mistakes before in the past (so theyll know EXACTLY what youve been going through when you call), but who also treat you with kindness, empathy and ACTUALLY CARE about the quality and reputation of their work. Save yourself some time and frustration and SKIP this company all together!

Comfert air came and did there annual check of my cooling system and said everything was fine. The next morning we had a leak in the bathroom which we couldnt find where it came from so we had to hire a maintenence company to come find the leak. Long story short the leak ended up being from the comfert air service gentleman... he had moved the catch and drain pan so instead of draining it was overflowing through 6 feet of our house and the lines needed blown out. We called and asked the manager twice to make it right. We didnt ask him to pay for materials or to pay to fix 6 feet of our house just for possibly a payment of $150 that we had to pay the maintenance men to fix and find what they had caused. Instead of a call back like promised we received an unannounced visit, a knock on the door while sleeping for the graveyard shift and a carbon detector left on porch. Unprofessional and inconsiderate would not recommend to anyone!
