Since I moved down here, I have used Universal Pool Services. I forgot the name of the service guy that came out to work on our pool, but he did a great job. Whenever I call the business, I speak with Jennifer. Jennifer has answered all my pool questions & is a wealth of knowledge about pools. She helped me figure out what cartridges I needed for my pump all over the phone. I will be using their services as long as I can.

They have always responded quickly, provided excellent service, and even took the time to help explain how different things worked to these pool novices. Every person we have interacted with has been friendly, helpful and professional. The weekly pool maintenance is excellent, and they have quickly responded when we had additional pool issues. We have been using Universal Pools for the past few years for our weekly pool cleaning. At first they seem to be going a good job as they send a nice picture and report every week when the pool has been cleaned. HOWEVER, we started questioning the readings that were being sent on the report and numerous times we have taken our water to Lesleys to be tested and it is not even close to what the weekly reading were saying. We confronted them and even sent the reports but the concerns were dismissed. We started checking our cameras to see what the guy was actually doing and discovered that if the water was being tested he either didnt know how to read it or wasnt bothering to report what was accurate. We had this guy for a long time and did bring this to their attention but we were told he was doing it correctly...he has since been fired and I was told he wasnt doing it properly. Since then we have had a guy show up, take a picture and leave which I sent the video to them, the next guy came, never checked chemicals at all for at least a few weeks yet sent a report saying what the levels were at, didnt check the chlorine puck holder at all and it was empty and stayed like that for a week as we do not live at this property, its a vacation home. This week he took the chlorine puck thing out and left it on the edge of the pool. The last time the pool was backwashed was March 13 which was actually done by the owner Bryan, I pay for that service but they say they do it when needed. Im not confident that it is being checked to see if it is needed or not. I recommend anyone using this company to take your water to Lesleys to get it checked, see if it matches what is reported as our was always so far off Lesleys recommended on numerous occasions we get a different pool company. They look like they know what they are doing and service is great when you call but I dont have any confidence that the guys actually doing the work are reading the chemicals and keeping things balanced and I have video that mine werent even checked on many occasions. (and shock and acid were dumped in). I gave the company many chances to fix the issues but every week it was just something else.

As a 32 year pool owner I can honestly say that this family owned business is by the far the best pool service we have ever had. We have been with Universal for over 3 years and the consistency of their quality and service is unmatched. Reliable, professional and always quick to respond to your needs.

Highly recommended. We used Universal for a drain, acid wash, refill, and tile clean. They were prompt, dependable, returned phone calls, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and the pool looks good. Ill use them again!Update 7/16/19 - And we used them again! I called these guys when my regular pool guy told me I needed a new pool pump due to a leak. The pump was less than 4 years old, seemed odd it was beyond repair. This company came out, gave an estimate for fixing the pump and then saved me even more money when they determined not all parts needed to be replaced. Reliable, showed up when they said they would and very honest and up front regarding pricing. Definitely recommend!
