Dealership has a lack of communication and professionalism. After their error that caused me to drive 1.5 Hour drive the car was not there and then they tried to sell me a 8k more expensive car and played with the numbers to hide things. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. If you seeing their vehicles on Auto-trader or Car guru I would not make the drive. they claimed the Internet sales team doesnt talk to them and doesnt update things properly. I feel they lied and told me yes to just get me on the lot and try and upsale me.

Thanks for the Great Service today! I can tell Joey M. the technician did a super job today! He completed a through Multi-Point Inspection and an oil change of my Honda CRV! I went in with the intentions of just getting an oil change but the tires were out of line so, I was called and told before anything else was done! Thats what I like, I do not want any surprises at the end of my service! My wife and I found a beautiful Toyota Tundra online at Deacon Jones Honda last week. We immediately called up the dealership to see if we could take it for an extended test drive. They graciously allowed us to take it back home and keep it over night. We’ll give them a star for that alone.After leaving the dealership on Tuesday, we were rear ended while test driving the Tundra. Minor damage in the grand scheme of things and everyone was okay so win/win. We called and spoke with our Salesperson and they talked to the General Manager who stated to just drive it home and see how we like it. We did and we loved it!We took the Tundra back to the dealership on Wednesday and talked to the General Manager and Salesperson while showing them the damage. I had already contacted the insurance agency of the party at fault and had that ball rolling. I told the Salesperson and General Manager that we were still interested in the truck. I asked them to let me know when the work was done so we could take a look and make sure everything was up to par.I never received a call back so I called them back a week later. I was asked if I was interested in the truck still and if I wanted to put a deposit down because there was another deal in the works. I said I need to talk it over with my wife and we still want to see the repair done to the truck, if we do make a deposit. We asked if the price would be negotiable at all since it has now been in a wreck at no fault of ours to which the response from the General Manager was no (no big deal there). So I said okay let me know if anything changes. This was at 6pm at night they close at 8pm. Talked to the wife and we decided we liked the truck so much we are just going to do it. I call and email first thing the next day only to be told they did in fact sell it. So moral of the story is I find it hard to believe that truck was sold in two hours from me being asked for a deposit and the dealership closing. This deal was already done and that to me is very immoral and we will never buy a car from any dealership within the Deacon Jones Automotive group. I will also make it known to anyone who’s looking to buy to steer clear from this dealership.Guess some other customer got the wrecked Tundra. Hope the new customer is fully aware of that, but judging by our experience wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not. On to look for something that has not been in an accident. Thanks Deacon Jones Honda!

Clean cars even in this pollen hurricane. The floors were so shiny they looked like mirrors. As usual to the Deacon Jones Autogroup standards the parking lots didnt have not one rock or piece of trash. My current car and my next truck will have a Deacon front plate.

Went and trade my car in and told them I want to transfer my tag in March 2021 everything went good until I got a new tag for the car and with the wrong address on it wth I just pay for for renewal on my old tag and now I have to pay 500$ dollar for this new tag i wanted to transfer my old tag over if you can’t do paper work then don’t do it the jobs is not for you Chris I call over 4 time and you said you will call me back on update it’s been past due

I would highly recommend this dealership and service department. I live 2 hours away and they took care of me and my husband on a rainy night. We were on the way to RDU airport in Raleigh when my car went into safety mode. I called them at 7pm and spoke with sales manager. He said get your car here, we were given a loaner car so we could get to airport and they fixed my Sonata under warranty. Amazing just Amazing. Thank you all so much.

Emailed them about a price of a 17 Sierra that they have on the lot, truck is 5 years old and has 83000 miles on it. They want close to 40k for the truck, phsss I already found the same truck with 20k less miles on it for 33k!

Literally the best customer service I have ever experienced. I had an issue with my car heading home from the beach with my friend and they quickly got my car back and gave me a temporary fix at no charge. I went in for a regular oil change and tire rotation. Waited over an hour just to be told by the service advisor Jose that I need to replace a fuel filter. It caught me off guard since it was a $220 charge that was not expected. I went with my gut and declined to do it since the car had 20k miles on it. Took my civic to the Raleigh dealership and asked the service manager there about it. Long story short the Goldsboro dealership tried to scam me for a service that was not needed nor recommended. It shows all the employees at deacon care about is the commission they make off of you. I’ve been going back and forth from this dealership for about two years and I will not be returning since each experience I’ve had there has only gotten worse.

My husband and I have been looking for his dream car for quite some time. When we found our used mustang GT premium at Deacon Jones Honda we were thrilled. We drove 3.5 hours from home to pick it up and while it was basically a 10 hour day.....the experience we recieved from Cameron Helt and our financial advisor was impeccable! They answered all my questions, fullfilled all my requests (within reason....clean and detail car, check all the lights, fix minor hook ups in the motor and so on). We took our daughters car to get some keys programmed due to having to replace the ignition switch. They got us in and out in minutes. Also had 2 recalls and they had went ahead and took care of them. We were expecting to drop the car off and come back and get it the following Monday. Deacon Jones Honda has very poor customer service. I bought a vehicle and had to return the next day because the air conditioner was not working. They were supposed to service the vehicle but did not check for a noise I heard during the test drive with the salesman. I have been calling to get a service appointment, someone took my name and phone number...no one has called me back yet. I went online to schedule an appointment and no one responded to that either. My loan documents where place in an envelope at the time of purchase. I went to look at something on the documents and could not read the documents. I will never purchase from them again.

Went to buy a new odyssey. First and last time there . Otw, another dealer called us with a cheaper price, decided to still give deacon a chance since we told them we’re coming. . Regret every bit!! Sales lady said she will talk to manager and “assured” us they will give a better discount. After we got the cashiers check ready, they said they can’t give a discount off price, but if we get the warranty, they will give us a discount. That was a lie too. The manager didn’t even talk to us or acknowledge us, we were literally 5ft away. He would walk by with an attitude! Looked like a jack a$$ with a chip on his shoulder. He kept ignoring us, we didn’t even get a thank you or a hand shake. They didn’t even put the plates on the car, we had to do it! We were waiting like???!! We asked, another sales man started to help, he saw another customer, then just gave us the screw driver to put the plates on, said he’ll be right back. Normally would have walked out, it was a surprise for my wife and the family knew we’re coming back with a new van. Didn’t want to mess the night up. Go to Barbour Hendricks in Greenville, just bought an vehicle from them, better prices, good customer service. We don’t ask for anything and the manager came to thank us. Big difference than Goldsboro!

This review is exclusively for sales department. Walked in yesterday looking at the green 18 civic SI thats been there for several months now. Worked with Cameron, who was an absolutely delightful sales rep. Answered my questions, allowed me to test drive. Wonderful experience. Until the sales manager Curtis walked over. Curtis was extremely rude. He cut Cameron off almost constantly just to repeat exactly what Cameron had just said. He was pushy to the point he literally pushed me out the door. He lied through his teeth at every turn, not that he did So well. Curtis skirted around my questions and was generally condescending. It was extrodinarily frustrating especially when I already knew the answers to the questions I asked, yet he lied to me anyways. Cameron was trying his hardest to get me this car, he was respectful, and he understood when I said no. Didnt try to push further or force me into signing anything. Curtis ruined the entire experience and is the exact reason I did not buy that car.

Took my car here over a month ago due to a clicking noise. Left my car at the dealership for service, got a call about an hour and a half later indicating they could not duplicate the sound. I had video of it, but did not push as they indicated a piece was hanging under the car which may have caused the intermittent noise. I get home and notice the noise again, but figured it may have been the piece coming a loose again, but the noise seemed to get worse on some days. I decided to take it to another Honda dealership and guess what?! Both CV Axles need to be replaced. I figured they would look further into customer concerns as this is a serious safety issue. I won’t say I will be there again.

We had a near catastrophe on our way back to Ohio from the beach. Our van started to sputter and the check engine light came on. Fortunately, we were only about 15 minutes from the dealership. I called and spoke with Jose who took care of us the moment we arrived.It turns out there was a problem that was under warranty with two possible solutions. Jose offered to fix the problem under warranty but it wouldve meant us having to stay at least a day overnight given the complexity of the job. The other solution required a small fix that would ensure we could make the trip back home safely. We opted for the quick fix and dealt with the warranty situation when we got back.Jose was incredibly understanding, friendly, and did everything possible to make a bad situation almost enjoyable. I spoke with some other folks there and all the employees were very friendly and down to earth. If I needed another car I wouldve bought one on the spot.

Service department is slow as can be. We had an appointment at 10am this morning. Said it shouldnt be too long. We call at 3pm to check the status and they say 30 more minutes. We were in the neighborhood so we stopped by. Car never moved the spot we parked it at in the morning. They said there was a line and I understand that but whats the point of making an appointment. People were nice so nothing against their attitude but unreal.

Great experience at Deacon Jones Nissan. We tried buying a truck at 2 other dealerships in Goldsboro, NC. Neither could get the payment close to what we needed to be comfortable. After a little negotiating on the Nissan Frontier we had an offer we could live with and drove our brand new club cab truck home. We dealt with one dealership for 2 days. When I text the salesman to say I was pulling the plug if we didnt have a deal I got a text back shortly saying they had me a deal close to what I asked for. We went the next day and waited about 3 hours to be helped and just to see the numbers. To our surprise the entire time they where still trying to get a loan set up for us. When they played the numbers out in front of us they acted surprised when we didnt jump on the deal that was almost 200 over the payment we asked for. No offer to try and workout something on the dealership end. At Deacon Jones when the deal wasnt working the salesman continued to go back to the dealership to negotiate a deal a little better. They gave some and so did we till we met in the middle with a deal that worked for both of us. The entire experience was great till the end. We had several people working with us through the process from sales, finance department and finally a very nice lady to make sure we understood the features on our new truck. When we left the finance office from signing the paperwork our salesman and this nice lady where there to greet us. I was a great experience from start to finish. Our salesman was Tavorus Dunn. The finance guy was Kevin and I did not catch his last name. The nice lady that helped with the vehicle features I believe was Deborah Lance. I would highly recommend them all as they made us feel at home.

Bought a certified preowned Honda CRV from them in May 2018. It had about 61k miles when I bought it, so according to Honda should have had the 60k mile inspection completed. The 182 point checklist showed these items as certified and done. Less than a year later (and before the vehicle hit 70k miles) it started to shudder during acceleration so I took it to a Honda dealership in Virginia. They looked at the maintenance records and told me that Deacon Jones never did the the transmission service (or the brake or rear differential). I contacted Deacon Jones, who after some discussion also admitted that they didnt do this. They agreed to reimburse me for the costs of these services. This was in August, and its now December and they havent mailed me a check and have stopped returning my calls and messages. They incorrectly certified the vehicle and now are being dishonest about sorting it out. Avoid them at all costs. Ive wasted hours and hours dealing with this, and still Deacon Jones isnt doing anything.Follow up: After posting the review and contacting Honda of the US, Deacon Jones contacted me and sent me a check for the cost of the additional work I had to do. They were also very apologetic. Im glad they took these steps though it would have been nice if theyd done this more quickly.

Aside from the fact that you have to sit in chairs that maybe arent the most comfortable to spend an hour or more in, I love to know that they are taking care of my car. They are very good to tell me exactly what is going on, to not do more than they have to but to inform me of what might need to come next, and to do it mostly at my convenience. Ive been able to schedule always at times that have been very convenient for me. I love my CRV. I call it my happy accident because I wasnt really looking at the CR-V when I was car shopping. By far one of the best cars I have ever owned and I would buy another one if I ever needed to

I originally gave this location a 4 star rating on Yelp. I am Active Duty military and have been stationed in Goldsboro for a little over two years. Of those two years; I have never went to any other location for oil changes/maintenance for my car. At my last routine oil change I was approached by AJ. I figured I would inquire about refinancing. Honestly, they were able to get my monthly payment down by about $20 and my interest rate was cut in half. What has driven my rating today is the interaction with both of these individuals. The process was rushed; any time a question would be asked they either wouldnt know or gave me a BS answer. For example, I asked AJ what company I was being financed with he gave me some random bank. Also, told me it probably didnt matter if I got a copy of some documents I had to go back to resign because they originally charged too much. Fast forward three weeks, I get my state tax document in the mail and no license plate. So, I call and ask to speak to Cameron. First, does not remember me at all. Looks me up in the system to tell me that the new financer took over my account on April 3rd. (Didnt receive a call to inform me; nothing). So, I ask about my licenses plate. He tells me to go pay my state tax and then they will give me a plate. I questioned why I would have to do that when I signed a power of attorney for them to do that. I told him I wasnt going to do that because there is a separate process for Active Duty military. He asked to call me back and did after checking with another department (which is what should have happened before giving me a random answer). Overall, I am disappointed and will take my future business elsewhere. Hope future customers experiences are better than mine.

I got off work early and went to purchase a new civic from these guys. I talked with a salesman, picked out a car and came up with a plan to purchase. Everything looked fine on paper prior to going into the Financial Managers office. Once I was in there, I was told that they do not offer GAP insurance to Military, that they could get in trouble for offering it. That didnt make any since to me, being that buying a car has nothing to do with the Military. Then just before he starting going over the warranty information he stated that he needed to turn his camera on so he could record this, meaning the warranty spill he was about to give me. This was a huge red flag to me. I was very skeptical at this point, being that I have never had a finance manager do this and Ive bought a lot of cars. Then he got to the monthly payments which he had wrong, was a lot more than I had agreed upon. It was a simple mistake but even after correcting it I wasnt happy with it. I got up and walked out and didnt buy the car. I felt the dealership was deceiving me in some way.

I dont know of anyone that likes the car buying process, but I bought an Accord today from Deacon Jones Honda and it was totally painless. I worked with Greg and Craig and have zero complaints. I got a great price, good trade in value, and zero BS. They respected my time and had me in and out very quickly. They will be my first stop when its time to trade.

My new car was delivered today and we couldnt be more pleased. We bought the car sight-unseen and it was just as described. Everyone we worked with was kind and professional. They even went above and beyond to help us with delivery when they learned we had a handicapped son who doesnt travel well. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking to buy a car!
