Kim, in response to your lies. I did call the day I decided not to return anymore to the assignment and let the office know and asked for you to call me so that I could go over it with me. I never received any calls regarding any further opportunities from your office I actually called to see if any were available and the lady that answered said I hadn’t gotten any calls because I was changed to inactive. Also, it is clearly stated that the Express locations are separate and information is not discussed and clearly it was and that’s how the other office knew I was on an assignment which is fine I wasn’t on assignment with them at the time any way the point is this company is shady and unprofessional. Period.

I reached out to this Express Office, and was not only greeted by kind and helpful employees, but was also set up to interview that same day. There are a lot of factors about Express Employment Professionals in Glendale that I like. Friendly staff, professionalism, accurate salary that was always on time, and many others. But there are 2 major factors that really stand out:1.) If youre looking for a job, they can find you a job. Just imagine our present situation. 44 million Americans are currently unemployed, and yet, 2 weeks ago they were able to find a good job for my wife.2.) Express in Glendale are perfect match makers. Not only are they able to find work for you that you can excel in, they also are able to find one that you actually like. My wife loves the one she got, and so did I. I never had data entry work before, so I was surprised that I actually like it. I did it for almost a year, and I would have continued to enjoy it if not for this COVID-19.So kudos to Express. I have had really bad experiences with temp agencies in the past. However I have had the best experience with Express Employment I highly recommend them! If you dont have any experience, its a good way to get experience. I can say from a little over a year from my experience it is absolutely the best agency. Kim and Yesenia have gone above and beyond for me. They communicate well and definitely make you feel like a priority. They have never left me without a job, even in these rough times. After they closed down most businesses due to COVID-19 I was left without a job. Express sent various emails on resources from emotional support numbers, videos to keep us motivated and busy during the pandemic. They even offered unemployment benefit guidance. Even after they helped me land another job in the meantime while I waited for them to open the warehouse I was laid off from. Thanks to them I am back and working again where I started. Great experience! Everyone in the office was incredibly personable and efficient (down to the in-office drug testing so I didn’t have to drive to a clinic). When it comes to a company that needs a little bit of everything whether its to fit our 7 day schedule or our am shift Lisa and Kim always get someone in our office right away. They answer us within minutes and help us find someone in any position we need an extra hand.

I wouldnt recommend this agency for anybody. I am currently employed by this agency yet they have not contacted me in over a month. Kim doesnt reach out and shows little to no concern on whether you are employed or not. The pay isnt that great. In most cases they will pay you as little as possible no matter how qualified you are or how intense the work is. Communication with this agency is by far the worst. Lisa is cool, unfortunately she is not in charge. I had to begin looking for work on my own because Express just stopped calling. No emails or text. They treat you like trash if you are not a yes man. If you are single with little to no bills then this may work for you. However, if you have a family and bills and need CONSISTENT work, do yourself a favor and look at another agency.

Horrible agency! They lied to me and told me that three positions were available to me for immediate start once my references were contacted. After Express verified all of my references they informed me that nothing was available now. This was obviously a tactic for them to try to bring in more workers.

%100 Honest Review!I moved to California from Missouri 8/1/18. I have 10+ year of professional supervisory experience, but could not get any responses from jobs iv applied to. I literally applied to 1215 job on indeed from 8/1/18 to today. I joined all the staffing agencies within a 50 mile radius, and still no response. One day while browsing Indeed, i came across a posting for my ideal job. within minutes of it posting I called Express Employment Professionals as they were listed at the bottom of the job post. I spoke with Lindsay Hornsby and my journey began. Lindsay proceeded to do a phone interview and asked really good questions, she was definitely looking for a certain type of person. The phone interview went great and we met 2 days later for an in person interview, which went even better. After giving me the details of the job, we scheduled a phone interview with the assignment company directly. In the days leading up to the interview with the assignment company, Lindsay was reaching out to me consistently giving me pointers and advice for the interview. The next few interviews with the assignment company went great, and I just signed the paperwork today for my preferred job! Because of Lindsays hard work and dedication to me as a client I was directly hired with the company. No temp work. 1215 applications for jobs and Lindsay was the only person to come through for me. This place is not for people looking for a job. This place is geared toward fast tracking professionals into a career. I read the negative reviews on this site and from what i gathered, most bad reviews are from people just wanting a job and not a career. Great place and I had a great experience.

DO NOT use these guys. Kim is extremely rude and condescending, talks down to her staff like theyre idiots, has no sympathy whatsoever and has the god complex of a brain surgeon. She WILL try to make you feel beneath her the first chance she gets. There are so many other temp agencies in the Los Angeles area. Many tailored to specific experience with better pay. Dont let yourself be degraded just to get a paycheck.

Kim was so disrespectful with me because I did not wanted to take a job that was not going to help me for my career. Ive seen that she does not treat good the rest of the staff and she is going to call you only is she needs you not because shes willing to help you. I applied for a call center position and received a call from Lindsay Hornsby (She’s so fake btw) at Express. So excited little did I know I was making the worst mistake of my life. After interviewing I was offered an internal position as a staffing consultant. The first couple days were great but DONT BE FOOLED because Kim Guard is a monster! It was difficult to work for Kim at Express she would be little, humiliate, and embarrass me in front of co workers and applicants to the point where they would walk out the office without completing the application. I continued to work for this awful person. She stressed me out so bad and worked us like robots. I’ve cried at work and Kim, Lindsay and Lisa would all call me into her office point fingers telling me “this job isn’t for everybody” trying to have me quit, that was the last straw! I have never in my life had such a bad experience working for an abusive employer like Kim Guard. I really loved what I did as a staffing consultant, I didn’t like that it was hostile, unprofessional and messy. Kim, Lindsay and Lisa loved to talk about everyone else (so racist) and each other (fakes). Like I said messy! As a person who went through this bad experience please don’t make the mistake I did applying for this horrible Express office (120%)!

Oh my goodness. Im guessing Lindsay has some friends posting compliments here. Or maybe Express Pros offers some incentive for positive reviews?Im 60 years old. Have been working since I was 13. In all those years, many of them temping all over Los Angeles, Downtown, Mid-Wilshire, Burbank, and 20 years for a major motion picture studio....I have NEVER had such a foul work experience as I did with EXPRESS PROS, and in particular KIM GUARD and LINDSAY HORNSBY. They will lie through their teeth to you. They will promise you one thing, and then give you grief when you expect them to keep their word. Sure, well have no problem getting you $18-20 an hour! Two $13 an hour assignments later, and they want me to take a full-time job for $14 an hour! And then had the audacity to call a social worker I was working with, to try to convince me to accept it!After I unknowingly accepted a project through Lindsay, that required proficient Excel (which I told them I wasn’t great at when I interviewed, and tested at 67%), and took too long doing that project, Kim Guard ended it before I was done, and totally humiliated, embarrassed, and degraded me. BUT IT GETS EVEN BETTER. When I applied for unemployment, Kim Guard defamed me by claiming I lied on the unemployment application. She said she had offered me a $15 an hour gig!! The unemployment associate I spoke with saw glaring discrepancies in her statements, and I received unemployment. Sorry to hit you where it hurt, Kim. I know that $67/week I got for two months must’ve hurt your pockets, huh.Kim Guard is a Board Member of Ascencia Homeless Shelter. She exploits and demeans people in the worst situations of their lives. Shes a garbage human being and deserves no respect or patronage. Express Pros Corporate should open their eyes. Lindsay is a ditzy rube. A Kim wannabe. Neither of them have an ounce of professionalism or common courtesy. And yes!
