I have been going to Josh for 3.5 years now. Always does a great job and is very pleasant to talk with. I cannot recommend him to enough people.

Completely unprofessional, not a really welcoming customer service experience. the first cut that I got was pretty good, but the second cuts that I got for me and my son, were either way too short (mine), or way too long, (his). The only way to get in is to make an appointment, and after three tries, I realized this was not going to be a business I want to frequent. I set an appointment online, showed up 10 minutes early, and the door was locked and the sign said closed. I tried to call the store three times, no answer, even waited till 10 minutes after my appointment time and it seemed the doors were going to stay locked. Suffice it to say, I will not be using this Barber ever again.

When we first started going here my son couldnt stand being buzzed because he is sensitive and ticklish. Bill very patiently worked with him and spent a lot of time showing him the clippers, putting it on his hand to show him they cant hurt his skin and with each cut he first touched where he was going to cut saying, Im going to use the buzzer right here. It wont hurt it wont tickle. After just a few times he can now have anyone buzz him and sits like a rock. I cant thank these guys enough for their patience, understanding and professionalism.

In short: This is the best Barbershop Ive been to in the past 10 years and could very possibly be the place that Ive had the best haircut ever in my life. Absolutely go and get your haircut by Joshua and you will be overly impressed by his incredible skills and his passionate experience that show through in his haircuts, which are nothing short of absolute perfection. He takes no shortcuts and is not satisfied until you are all smiles about your haircut, and you will be all smiles about your haircut. When you leave you will look better than you have in a long time and even maybe better than you should, so just thank Joshua in advance for that.In conclusion I only have the best of things to say about Joshua and his fantastic establishment. The shop itself is immaculate, professional, and welcoming. Cleanliness is key in a Barbershop and it is shown here at M.V.B. I end my review with the hopes that you do visit Joshua and his Barbershop because its well worth it, I drive over 45 mins each time in order to have the privilege to receive such an incredible haircut and its worth it every time. Having a great looking haircut goes a long way. if your like me and only like the best and wont settle for less than perfect than this is your barber shop. i been coming to Josh since he was working on bell and i made sure to never loose contact with him when he got his own and now current shop. Before finding josh i was going from one shop to another just trying to find something i would be content with so i recommend josh and his shop if your looking to get a great haircut by great people always in and out no hassle and great prices. MVB the place to be!!

Showed up over here to get a haircut this gentleman has cut my hair four times before and was told that I couldn’t I have a haircut at 15 till four because he had an appointment that was going to shop at some point then I showed up this morning for the second time in the last few weeks and he’s closed and not there I’m so tired of the inconsistency and locally owned haircutters it’s ridiculous if you wanna make some money and you want to have a clientele and you wanna run a successful business you have to maintain consistent and regular hours for your patrons to visit and get their services provided to them and also do it without an attitude and turn someone away who is spent their hard earned money in your shop ridiculous

They don’t answer the phone when they’re open but good luck knowing when they’re open because their hours on Google aren’t correct. If you actually do manage to get in there and get a haircut it’s like hanging out with a bunch of high school kids or something the atmosphere is completely unprofessional

Went in here on Sunday at 11 to get a haircut. Josh is about as cool a guy as you will find at any Barber. Gave me a great haircut and great service at a great price! Thank you Josh and well see you soon!

SUPER DISAPPOINTED! We have given this location 3 chances. With mixed results. I should have read the Yelp Reviews, because they are accurate.Let me preface this by letting you know you cannot just walk in. the doors are always locked, and the only way to get a haircut is by making an appointment online, you also have to submit your entire CC INFO in advance. If you dont make it or call, he charges your card $10. (First time in their we heard a conversation, telling a customer that he was going to charge him ten bucks for cancelling)1st time- Me and my son went; we both got great haircuts by the owner, Josh (also the only employee) but my son (age 9) thought he was a little rough with him and did not make small talk with him either.2nd Time- Terrible haircuts. Mine was way too short, my sons was way to long. (Again, my son tried to make small talk and Josh pretty much ignored him) it seemed on this day that the owner, Joshua was more interested in Governor Douchys press conference than paying attention to given us good haircuts.3rd Time- This was really the last chance I was going to give this guy. His professionalism over the phone was a little rough so I understand the other reviews, no biggie. I made an appointment for 5 p.m. and arrived about 10 minutes early. Door was locked. Sign said Closed. I called the shop, no one answered, I left a voicemail, and let Joshua know that I was outside waiting. I decided to wait until 5pm, called two more times, no answer, door stayed locked. I finally gave up. Completely unprofessional, and not even a call back to apologize. NEVER AGAIN. Come on now, who does that? Is this a hobby or a real business? TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL>SIDENOTE: I did just get an incredible customer service experience and also a fantastic haircut at True Barber on 67th and Peoria! 😁 It was quick, it was efficient, and the haircut was AMAZING! I booked an appointment using the link and it was GREAT. I didnt waste any time during my day waiting. I walked in, recieved quality service, paid and left. Thats what Im talking about. Ill be back.

Great service fast and quality cuts and great and professional attitude and listens to customers wants and needs and goes above and beyond to meet them. We have been cutting our hair at MVP barber for a few years now. Barbers at this shop have many years of experience. They are very polite and they display their passion with great hair cuts. Shop is clean , well ventilated and great music selection. Very happy with this location and its service. Definitely recommend this barbershop.

Myself and my son have been getting our haircut by Josh since he was on 35th and bell. You couldnt ask for a more professional barber. He takes pride in giving great service and seeing customers satisfied with their service. The shop is always in top shape with great music playing with plenty of space for customers. I pass countless barbershops in order to get to his and I do so because a great barber is hard to find. God willing, my son will be a grown man still hitting up MVB for the fade.

I see there are a few people here that have been trough some of the same experience I had. This was my second time in MVB, the first time wasn’t memorable and I like that. There were two barbers, an older gentleman and what I assumed the owner. (Lighter shade hat wearing type of dude). The second time it was just hat guy and I. I remember asking a simple question, “are we good?” I said, then I got one of the most aggressive looks and physical mannerisms. Hat guy appeared to be aggravated by the question. This guy never said anything about the chair being ready to sit on so I kindly asked... dude was about to fight. Thankfully, those days in my life are gone and instead of acting like a simple minded fool, I sat and described what type of cut I wanted. I stayed silent, finished my hair getting cut, paid and tipped the hat guy and moved on. The only message I have to tell this individual is, why would you react like that to a paying none rude customer that was anything but nice? Not to mention it was dead that day, just him and I. He had no weapon on his physical self while cutting hair. I am glad I’m a decent man because there are some other individuals that are more distorted than you hat guy... take it easy, cut hair, get paid, move on. Get that money man. I’m sorry if life was rough, maybe prison? Listen we all have our secrets and struggles but never forget that maybe... that one guy also had a hard life but has learned to roll and float away from stupidity. Cut was seven tho... shame on the treatment. Intimidated? My man not only did you insult the lady working with you macho man, you proved my point... stay clean sucio.

Turned away an hour and fifteen minutes cause the employee had someone in the chair, but had no other employees to help out.First off, I am not mistaken on which barbershop I was at, so relax on that. Second, my visit took place back on Sunday, December 22nd, and I only now received the request from google to review. With that said, yes, I was turned away, no I did not sit there and wait and then get turned away, she let me know she wouldnt cut my hair when I walked in, and then turned another customer away after me while I was in my car looking for another barbershop to go to, which, I did find and had no problem walking in during their regular business hours and getting a haircut. Always great service here! I’ve been getting my hair cut and faded by Josh for 5+ years. Over two of those years has been here at MVB! The owner has always made arrangements for me when I request an appointment, never a disappointment with scheduling. Great atmosphere with a clean upbeat environment. I have no plans to change barbers and plan on taking my kidd to Josh to get his hair cut when he is older.

Josh is highly recommended. But my shout out is to his other barbers there. With Donnae was my first time with her. We talked alot about personal stuff and just casual conversation really awesome chick and she didnt go to cosmetology school to cut hair. She is legit barber certified!!! Got a nice high fade from her. She took her time on it to make sure it was right. She even said that her ocd was kicking in a a couple times but she made it right. Loved how when i told her what i wanted she knew and tried to style my hair before leaving the way i like it. Hands down amazing barber shop!! Need to see them!!!

I didnt even walk into this barber shop due to my experience with a rude man on the phone when all I asked is basic questions such as how long the wait was , how much their fades were and if it was only cash.

Terrible experience. Sits a kid in the chair, gets him ready for a trim and then says sorry I can’t help you. If he was only accepting appointments. and not walk-ins, he should’ve said so before getting a 7 year old prepped for a trim.
