K M Facility ServicesI have been so pleased with my experiences with Kevin Uilkie at KM Facility Services, and would gladly recommend him to anyone that is considering having their HVAC system and air ducts cleaned and/or restored! I own a company in Richmond, VA that provides duct cleaning and related services services; since I met Kevin Uilkie through another NADCA members recommendation, I have leaned on Kevin’s wealth of experience and knowledge for multiple commercial duct cleaning and HVAC restoration projects.Two specific projects come the front of my mind - fixing a catastrophic HVAC drain pan issue at a childcare center, and having the ability to *safely* clean and restore very difficult to access ducts for a university museum.1. The childcare center had a drain pan failure under their air handling unit located in an attic, causing water to leak from the attic down to the rooms below. I reached out to a mentor who pointed me to Kevin Uilkie, and Kevin provided by far the most cost effective and quick solution - Pancrete - to repair this drain pan which had considerable accessibility difficulties. Kevin guided me over the phone through the Pancrete installation process, and our overnight Pancrete installation procedure fixed the drain pan leak before the children and staff returned the following morning. The childcare director was so grateful and thankful for the help because it helped them to save tens of thousands of dollars in costly repairs to open up the roof and lift the AHU to replace the existing pan. I never could have done this for them without Kevin’s guidance.2. We also cleaned, encapsulated, and sealed the air ducts which service a university museum in Virginia. The building was constructed in 1933 and had several accessibility challenges in the attic portion where the ducts were located. I sent Kevin some pictures from the attic which showed the accessibility challenges, and asked him if he had any ideas - not only did he have ideas, but Kevin had the perfect solution for this project. Kevin let us use a specialized ISAAC duct cleaning and sealing robot of his that enabled us to *safely* access, clean, restore, and seal all of the ductwork in the attic. We were able to use the ISAAC’s camera system to show our client the effectiveness of the cleaning, restoration, and sealing. This company treats their employees very poorly, doesn’t give employees enough respect, management is very disrespectful, very poor attitudes, disorganized, unfair. Would NOT recommend working with this company, they don’t provide workers with a good environment to work/build themselves in.
