This company was very fair and honest and were quick to respond to our needs. The service technician was informative and helped explain how the equipment operated and answered other questions we had about maintaining the pool.

I highly recommend Gilbert Poolman. They are very committed to providing great service! Theyve come to my house all hours and weekends if there is ever a problem. I use them to open, close and butler my pool and they make it easy for me to really enjoy using my pool.

This service is recommended as an economical once a week service. They come at an appointed time, test your pool water and treat it. For what it used to cost me per month, the service has saved me $200 - $300 in chemicals and testing etc. Give them a call, theyre friendly and helpful with great prices.

Jake came out and gave me an estimate of $750 to start up my pool, supply and install necessary valves. After some time, the pool is still not programmed correctly and I was sent a bill for $1345. No communication between the estimate and the bill…not processional. He is now threatening lawsuit.

He was very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. The next day he had a pool tech come by (most patient man ever answering ALL my questions) who did servicing, filter cleaning and a vacuum rebuild. I am blown away by the efficiency of this company and its employees. You truly get what you pay for. They went above and beyond to give me A+ service and I am hooked. Best pool service ever!!

I cannot say enough good things about Jake. We were having trouble getting our suction to work on our pool. Our current pool guy spent three hours trying to solve the problem and couldn’t figure it out. Within 30 seconds at my house, Jake solved the problem! He took the time to explain the issues and how I can prevent them in the future. And he also refused to send me an invoice because the fix was so quick and he was in the neighborhood anyway. It’s so nice and refreshing to meet an honest pool guy who is kind and cares about his customers. Needless to say I’ll be switching my pool guy over to Jake immediately!

Worst experience ever with any company we have ever done business with. We were lied to and corners were drastically cut with pool repair work. I recommend not using this company for anything. We spend almost 10,000 bucks refinishing our cool deck and plaster inside the pool. Within 1 month there were massive cracks in the finish and they just keep getting worse and worse. The Gilbert pool man refuses to correct their poor workmanship. I highly recommend this pool service company. We have used Gilbert Poolman over the last several years for vacation service, repairs and, (just this week) for tile cleaning. This company has been exceptional and wonderful to work with. Austin is awesome! He used a new product to clean calcium deposits from the tile, making it almost as clean as new.My experience is that they always have done a good job as well as have been courteous and friendly. Work is executed in professional manner and any issues are dealt with promptly. Jake, the owner, goes above and beyond, satisfying all concerns.

Very unprofessional, he quotes something and on the invoice he completely changes the number. He threatens people to take them to the court for 100 dollars. Be careful with this guy he is liar, dishonest, unprofessional and wrong work ethics. Absolute nightmare.

When our pool went on the fritz this summer I was extremely frustrated. I didnt know if Id be able to get it fixed or if we would just have to go the summer without it. So, I asked around about who the best pool repair company in town was. A few people recommended Gilbert Poolman. So, I gave them a call and they came right out. The service was excellent! They were kind, courteous and diagnosed the problem right away. I asked about price and they worked with me to ensure the project could get done. Ive had no problems with the pool since then. It was an overall wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone.

Called this company this morning for a pool equipment quote. The person who answered the phone said Gilbert Poolman. I asked, to whom am I speaking to? The individual did not want to give their first name after I introduced myself. I then answered his question on if I was seeking pool service. I then asked again if I could have his first name.He replied I dont see how that is relevant. He finished by saying call another pool company please This post speaks for itself. Seemed like he was threatened by me wanting to address him by his first name. To each his own.

I have been using Gilbert Poolman for a year now and have nothing but good things to say. I was turned on to them by a friend of mine who simply raves about their service and friendly nature. I called and received a very good quote (much less than those I received when calling around to other pool maintenance businesses) and received my first cleaning free. When I called, they were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and concerns. They always arrive promptly and get the job done in a quick and efficient manner.What I really like is how nice they are to my two dogs. My dogs are very protective of the house and usually do not like strangers and I thought it was awesome that the guy cleaning the pool actually carried dog treats with him to make friends with any dogs he may encounter during his stops - AND he was kind enough to ask if he may feed them to my dogs before he did so.When I went out of town for two weeks I didnt have to worry about anything because they let themselves in through the back gate and handled business with no problems.When a few parts on the heater needed replacing I received extremely fair quotes for the parts and service - they even worked out a payment plan for me!I highly recommend Gilbert Poolman for all your pool maintenance needs. I love the work they do and you will too!

I cant say enough good things about these folks. After 2 companies and a home inspector failed to diagnose my pool problem, Don came out and in 30 seconds had the problem found and the solution implemented. He showed up a day later with all necessary parts and chemicals. He called a few days later to check in and also dropped by to ensure that things were running smoothly. Signed up for weekly maintenance as well. Worth every penny!

I use Gilbert Poolman for their weekly service and I just wasnt to take a moment to review this business because they have been great at keeping my pool sparkly through the summer and monsoon season! My husband and I both work full-time and have a very active family. Almost every weekend, our kids are in the pool and our friends come over to bbq, so one less chore a week really helps. They have even helped us repairing the light fixtures and swimming pool vacuum when they went out! I recommend this pool company to anyone in the area that needs an honest and reliable pool guy.

This is the worst pool company! They say theyre coming to service your pool every week, and that they have a picture of the readings and your pool which I think they must circulate the same picture every week. We still have to add our own chemicals, empty the baskets and do the sweeping of the pool. This company doesnt even add chlorine tabs in the pool float but yet they say they are showing up every week and they take your money! We cancelled our service with them and I would urge you to find another company unless you want to just donate your money to this company!

This company is extremely inconsistent, rude, and just an awful experience overall. Over the weekend I was out of town and he didnt set the timer right and the pool pump was on for 3 days straight and burnt the pump out. It cost me a large amount of money to get fixed and was extremely inconvenient and superfluous. I believe if i was with any other company this would not have happened. So unprofessional. And later that week (this was just last week, the last week of June) I come to find out the owner sells and smokes weed illegally. I cannot believe how bad of an experience I have had with the owner and the company in general. He refused to compensate me for the money I had to put into my pool because of HIS wrong doing because apparently it was my fault because I was out of town Eventhough I told him multiple times that I was gone for the weekend and to set the timer correctly because I will not be home for the weekend. I am dumbfounded as to why this company is still in business. The owner has no regard for his customers and no respect or customer service skills! I would NOT recommend him to ANYONE. There are MANY other pool companies that are a much better choice to say the least! Unless you like to be treated like sh**, I would NOT sign up with this company.

This company has ZERO concern for its smallest clients because this company repeatedly (5+ plus) left our pool gate open and that could have turned into a death of a child. Yeah, they will give you updates on what they have done to your pool and come when you asked them/scheduled to, but thats not worth the safety of my child!

Just purchased a house they serviced the pool, waited2 weeks for a call back never got one! Then reached out to figure out what was going on, lady behind the phone was clueless and rude. Go with a company that is little more professional!

Use this company for about a year until quality service continued to fade away. They change personnel VERY frequently. One pool tech walked into the back yard, right past the pool and went to the other side of the house. I asked where he was going and he said he was looking for the pool. (Appeared to be drunk). I asked another pool tech a question about the pool leveler and he looked at me and asked what a pool leveler was.

The pool cleaner that comes to my house does a wonderful job cleaning. My pool tends to gather dirt each week and this guy vacuums my pool and makes it spotless each time he comes.

I had a pool motor replaced 7/15 by this company as of today it has quit. Only a year warranty bad product sold here. Called to have them come out and take a look. By second day didnt here anything so I called them. Was told technician would call back. When he did didnt seem to care sounded like he just woke up at 930am. Said I should replace entire pump and motor. I already spent $689 on the first pump. No thanks

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Called because there was a problem, caused by his company’s “standards protocol, to run the vacuum without any filters.” Then wants to charge $125 to come “blow the line out when it gets clogged!” My advice stay away!

When You need quality and reasonably priced pool care, Gilbert poolman is the first call I would make, they have always delivered quality service at what I would consider more than a reasonable price. I’ve been through more pool companies than I can remember and was never able to find one that I really felt comfortable with and would be able to recommend without reservation, until I found the Gilbert poolman. I’m more than happy with the service and the pool, well, it’s never looked better.

My pool was in desperate need of cleaning. I really hate cleaning the pool. When I called this company to get some quotes, I found them to be more then reasonable. When they came out to clean the pool, they informed me of some issues that required repair. They did not try to force me into doing anything, they just let me know. If you are looking for a pool company, this is definitely the place to call!

We inherited Gilbert Poolman when we bought our home.We should have looked at the reviews. If we had done so, we would have seen that his general method of responding is unprofessional and accusatory – live and learn – we got to do this the hard way.We assumed the account, put a card on file, and service was fine…until it wasn’t.We received invoices and calls in March about a past due balance. They never ran our card. We told them to please do so.In June they gave us a new technician. He was not good. He didn’t know what he was doing, and we finally had to call the office.They sent him back and he told us he had just been doing his best even though the pump didn’t work. We asked him why he never said anything – he didn’t have an answer.We asked him to put in a service request to address the equipment – it was two weeks before the owner finally showed up to take a look.He fixed our issue by unclogging the impeller. Apparently, the basket was broken and wasn’t stopping items from getting to the impeller. He charged us $65 to do so.The technician came back 2 days later and apologized again that he didn’t tell us sooner that the basket was broken and the pump wasn’t creating suction. He said he just thought it didn’t work very well because he doesn’t know much about pool pumps and that the basket seemed to be catching some stuff still so he just did his best to scoop things out and make sure the chemical levels were ok.We asked the owner to please credit us for July and for the impeller fee. We thought it was reasonable that we not be asked to pay for service not received and for issues caused by our technician not doing his job.He refused to refund us for July claiming the pool “looked clean” in pictures and that we were just trying to use any excuse to not pay our bill.He agreed to refund the impeller fee if we found another company because he doesn’t like people who try to take advantage of him.Apparently, expecting services we pay for is taking advantage of his company.He then refused to refund us claiming we never paid our bills from when we set up service. We discovered they still never ran the card for the months they initially forgot to charge.Then, right in the middle of this, instead of the normal $85 fee, they suddenly charged us 106.25 for August. No discussion, no change to our agreement, just added an extra amount to the bill.We told him to please use the July fee, the impeller fee, and the August fee to cover those months. They owed us a credit of $265.25, the three months never charged totaled $255.He e-mailed back saying he couldn’t be bothered to read our response and would just send us to collections.Things were fine, but at the first hiccup he turned out to be a completely unprofessional person. Instead of responding to a reasonable request in a professional way, he accused us of trying to take advantage of him and using any excuse not to pay our bill.We were SHOCKED. And offended. Asking not to pay for someone else’s mistake is reasonable – but his crazy unprofessional response was so out of proportion we had no idea where that came from. We had to change our credit card information.I see some reviews on this site that are good – which is great. I wonder if they’ve ever run into a problem – our service was fine until it wasn’t, and addressing it proved impossible because the owner is entirely and shockingly unprofessional.We couldn’t in good conscience recommend this company.

This is by far the worst pool company I dealt with. The cleaner are unprofessional come in whenever they feel they want to come, do a horrible job at cleaning the pool, and lie. I dont recommend going with them at all.. I rather pay more to not deal with people like them..

Had pool re plastered and had trouble from the beginning, inconsistencies in color, had to drain pool twice to try to fix but still had color variations, plaster started cracking just after 3 years and now pool needs refinishing again #very expensive. Does not return calls when there are problems.

Jake at Gilbert pool helped us design a gorgeous pool, spa, pavers, and lanai. He was so patient with us and we could not be more happy with the backyard design of our newly built home. He is always responsive answering our calls about anything maintenance related . Recommended!
