I have been going to EMG for 7 years and have had good service from one or two of the barbers. Occasionally, I will get a haircut that I am less than happy with from one of the new barbers but I continue to give them my service.Tonight however, I received by far the worst haircut I have ever had. I am going out of town in the morning and decided to get a haircut before I go. I booked the haircut with Anthony with whom I have never received a haircut from. I was reluctant to get a haircut from someone other than Wayne or Mark but I wanted a haircut as I am attending a wedding on Saturday.I walked in the shop and found Anthony laying on one of the couches. When I said I was scheduled with him, he got up and dropped a vape pen. Probably should have backed out of the haircut then. I told him I normally get my haircut by Wayne and proceeded to explain I get a zero guard on the sides and to go straight up.Anthony decided to round the sides to the top of my head, which he managed to leave chunks of hair sticking out. He then mangled the hair on top of my head, leaving a large uneven mess.During this entire fiasco, Anthony had me facing away from the mirror so I couldn’t see what he was doing.I am going to another barber in the morning to attempt to fix the mess he created.Tony, if this is the level of barbers you are going to hire, I am finding another place to get my haircut. My son and I are in your shop every 3-4 weeks and have endured your price increases throughout the last 7 years. The cost of the haircut does not match the quality of the haircut I received.

Ive been coming to EMG for 7 years. Unfortunately, this place has been bleeding talent, experience, and propriety. Like all places, if you cant find someone that remembers your face, they probably cant remember your hairstyle. The quality of barbers over the years has greatly suffered and the prices keep climbing. The haircuts are a coin toss for quality from one visit to the next, even with the same barber. People are paying for a sure-thing and not a lottery ticket. The shop is always dirty now, and the conversations between barbers are inappropriate for public discussions. This place has turned into a good-Ole-boy network of the poor-performing barbers supporting each other. Oddly enough I have noticed that some of the greatest barbers here will disappear for some time and then come back. Most likely management recognizes the loss in business when these people leave and probably offers them some incentive to come back, but only temporarily.One of the greatest barbers over the years was Jay Clarke. Its was his awesome fades and professional conduct that brought me back to EMG after Chad shaved a hard part into my hair (and missed the natural part by over an inch). He knew all his clients by name and understood he was paid to do a great haircut and not paid to talk and joke with the other barbers or disappear for minutes one end. He was always available early and was wide awake and ready to go and not hung over or coming down from something (management knows who these barbers are). If all of your top tier talent is leaving, management should reflect on the reasons why. After hearing that Jay was no longer with EMG (and hearing several different stories of his departure from Covid, walking out, poor performance) I finally decided to write a review based on several years of experiences with this barber shop.I finally found out from EMG where Jay went: The Spot Barber Lounge in Chandler. I have an appointment with him later in the week and look forward to catching up.

I was lucky enough to receive my haircut from King Que 👑 After telling me about the long day he’s endured due to the heavy traffic that day. I could tell he was ready to head home but my man gave me a hell of a haircut that I am more than satisfied with. He took his time and was proud of his own work, which is always important to have in a barber. Appreciate Que and his work. Excellent.

I had a great experience at this shop. Q was awesome from start to finish. He gave me a great cut and made great conversation. Made me feel like family and the vibe was great. I recommend this shop and Q is a great barber.

The new guy Anthony serviced my little brother for our upcoming family photo and he did an amazing job. My brother hates getting his hair cut, hes just plain lazy, but after this cut we teased him about constantly being in the mirror. Anthony was nice, courteous and professional while styling my brothers hair. Highly recomment

I like this place. I’ve been here twice and both times they did well. Reasonable price and full barber experience. Usually takes less than 30 minutes. They have a lot of staff and are very organized with appointments. I love that you can book online, the software they use is easy and has real time appointments day of. They give you a dollar discount if you pay cash. Both barbers did a good job on my hair and were friendly. Was recommended by a friend and would certainly recommend others here.

I booked my husband a haircut and shave appointment earlier this week for Father’s Day and when he arrived at the shop there seemed to be no awareness of this appointment even though we received both a confirmation and reminder email prior to the appointment. Not only that but upon finally figuring out the scheduling issue he then had to wait for his provider to “get off a smoke break” which is completely unprofessional considering he had an appointment booked for 1040. I booked this establishment based on excellent reviews online and social media but our experience has not been reflective of that what so ever. I don’t know what the standard of service is supposed to be at an establishment such as this but it certainly seems to be lacking.

Roman is exceptional. Always answers your call and gets you in quick. I was paying over double the price and spending so much time with hair stylists for inferior cuts. Never again. This is the place to go.

So my dad, who is 80, just got out of the hospital and was a total mess. His hair was matted, his mustache had grown over his mouth, and his beard basically just blended with his chest hair. I took him to Great Clips and they referred me to Executive Mens Grooming because apparently a Barber can trim a beard but a hair salon cannot because of COVID. Id never been to a Barber Shop before so I decided to just walk in and see what would happen.I cannot say enough about how great our experience was at this business. My dad was invited to sit down right away in Chads chair. Chad proceeded to transform my father from a cave man to a dapper looking gentleman. He clipped his hair and shaped the cowlicks, he trimmed his mustache, beard, and nose hair, but more than anything, he really took his time with my Dad.Im sending my husband and my father-in-law there today to get a cut and a shave. As a woman, I thought only women could enjoy being pampered. But guys deserve it too. Make your men go to this place. They will absolutely love it.

Ive worn a lot of hats in my life but Ive been rocking the customer service one for a long time. As a middle-ish manager in customer service Id say one of the hardest things to train people on is how to earn the customers business rather than just do your job because its your job. DJ and Tony go out of their way to do just that - earn your business. Their haircuts are absolutely stellar and the experience they provide is memorable enough for me to have been a customer here for over four years. I refuse to go anywhere else for a haircut because they have built a relationship with me. Theyre genuinely good people and every time Ive been in they go above and beyond. Props to the Starks brothers for running a straight up, old fashioned good business and not just cutting hair. 👍🏻

Im a little picky on who cuts my hair and its nice to know that I can trust this place to deliver a stellar cut, regardless of the barber. You got nothing but artists up in there, I recognize that. Surprised my husband with a haircut and beard trim. chose this barber shop because of the great reviews, and they did not disappoint. Mark cut my husbands hair and trimmed up his beard. my husband was really happy with how it turned out. Mark took his time, didnt just use clippers to shorten up the sides but actually scissor cut it. the top blends in to the sides so nicely. my husband said he really enjoyed the neck shave. Finally found a barber my husband enjoyed and trusts with his beard. Hell definitely be back!

There is no finer Haircut and shave in the Valley. Every Barber is talented so fear not if you dont have a regular. Price is on point. And tip these guys, they work hard to keep the ugly look cultured!

What is the point of making an appointment if theyre going to ignore you when you walk through the door and then let other walk ins go before you? I dont know so I left after they let 2 people go before me. I didnt get a greeting on the way in, I showed up 15 minutes early and waited there for about 22 minutes, the place was covered with hair and most of the barbers were more concerned with changing the tv to an agreeable station than paying attention to new customers.

I try multiple barbers cause I get cut at the last second, I’ve found some damn good barbers but Chad was super quick and understood exactly what style I wanted, has had been doing this for awhile is my guess. Best cut I’ve got in a rapid timing the hardline is the best I’ve only seen on celebrities! This is my spot and highly recommend this guy!

Hack job. Was cut by Chris. Asked for a fade.... was given it straight up. And had the back of the crown of my head shaved off. Even Great Clips can do a fade. Maybe Barbers should focus on their clients, not BS-ing with each other. What a joke.

All I can say is incredible! This past Saturday 10/24, I had my first experience at a barber shop and I was blown away. This was easily the best haircut I have ever received and I will certainly be back again. Ian M. took excellent care of me from start to finish. He is a true artist in every sense of the word. What sold me was not the excellent haircut but the customer focused mindset that Ian displayed. He is knowledgable, friendly and creates an experience instead of another haircut. I cannot thank him enough for the stellar job and will back to see him moving forward! I cannot say enough good things about my Ian or my experience at Executive Mens Grooming, I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a go-to barber shop!

I live in tempe and after trying 3 other places I told my daughter we are going to EMG . she ws wanting the sides cut off and faded and take some length off top. Being a walk in the othr places said they dodnt have time or not appointments available. We were able to walk right in. Didnt have to wait long and she got the cut that she wanted. 10 minute hair cut for $25 bucks. No straight razor. No ask for a beard trim or square up.They have covid dividers up but the plexiglass looks like it has never been wiped down.The barbers didn’t have really have a uniform so it looked like a bunch of guys hanging out.I will probably not be back. I pay less at V’s and get way better service.

Got a haircut and beard trim at this place, after it was highly recommended, will definitely be returning again.Theyre clean, professional, require masks (during the pandemic), appointments and every stylist there was great! I recommend this place to everyone!

Communication was terrible. Walked in for a scheduled appointment at 10:20 at 10:15, barber asked who I was here for and said he will be with me shortly. After waiting until 10:40 Wayne called another customer to his chair, I asked to confirm my appointment at that time Wayne let me know how far behind he was. After driving and waiting needless to say it was a total waste of time. When appointments are scheduled and someone is running nearly an hour behind where is the communication? To top it off the barber next to him used the hair dryer to blow the dead hair off his customer aiming the dryer at the seating area, ultimately blowing someone else’s hair directly at me. I get tight spaces but pay attention and maybe blow dead/ cut hair away from your customers waiting area. Extremely disappointed with this place today, owner Tony has always been great, but after today there are lots of other places that want your business and care more. I would consider this when booking at EMG!

I wouldve given this place 5 stars, but the haircut I got today was pretty haphazard and rushed which really irritated me. The dude kept stopping the haircut to rewind a movie he was watching, and the whole process felt rushed since he had someone else behind me waiting. I specifically asked for a high fade and got nowhere close to one. I have one barber here I really like, and today I made the mistake of choosing someone else since my guy wasnt available. Not sure if Ill be back here for a while now

Ive been going to this place for just over 3 years now and have not once had a bad time. They adapted to covid wonderfully too, regardless of anyones personal thoughts on the pandemic, they put client and employee safety first. Not to mention the talent thats working there, incredible. Always super friendly, the natural conversations that go on, the ascetic they present, and the passion the staff and owner emit... these are the people to invest in.

I love executive mens grooming. All of the barbers do a great job and its nice to be able to schedule a haircut and get in and out without having to sit around and wait forever like most places. Its nice they have appointments starting so early in the morning.

First time in, love the ability to get a haircut before heading into the office! Had a 6 a.m. appt with Raven; discussed what I was looking for and requested suggestions. He not only gave me the cut I wanted but the straight razor trim on the neck and eyebrow trim were the hallmark of a great stylist.

It’s difficult to find a good barber shop that is open during COVID. It’s even more challenging to find someone to do a great beard cut / frame. Jay was the barber that I use every time I need a trim. He really knows what he’s doing and listens to what I want. Thanks Jay!

I have been going here for years. A lot of the good barbers keep leaving for some reason and getting a quality haircut here is getting harder to come by.Unfortunately, they let me down for the last time. Lots of good places around the area that are cheaper and get the job done.

I’ve been going to Executive Men’s Grooming for over a year for beard trims and haircuts. I was bummed when they had to shut down due to COVID and couldn’t wait till they reopened. I’ve been there twice since they reopened and it’s been a great experience. All the barbers are wearing a mask along with the limited amount of folks allowed to sit in the waiting area. They are practicing social distancing and have even put up tall partitions between each chair. Safe, clean, friendly, and awesome service and cuts!

I came in without knowing what I wanted, and my boy Deya Alturk took care of everything. Gave me a fresh cut in literaly 10mins. The most professional barber Ive ever met.

EMG is a fantastic establishment. DJ has taken care of me for the past couple haircuts, but Ive used other barbers here too. They usually have same-day appointments which is very convenient.Haircuts are always top notch and theyre doing a great job taking precautions for COVID-19.I highly recommend them!

Ive been coming here for a few years now since I moved to Gilbert and I always get good cuts from DJ and Mark. I recently booked a cut and beard trim with Miguel who is new to the shop. I wanted to give him a shout out here. He was professional, had great attention to detail, and gave me a great cut. Ill have no hesitation booking with him in the future.

Went in to get my haircut after having a personal barber cut my hair for 10 years, DJ Starks cut my hair and brought it back to life, and I never realized what it was like to have my hair professionally cut. He’s an amazing barber who really pays attention to detail and I loved the environment around me, everyone is super funny and good at what they do. This place is amazing

Im a little torn with this review, but annoyed enough to speak out. Im sporting an undercut, trying to grow out the top. I felt I was pretty clear that I wanted the top at the same level as the front which hadnt grown as long. What I got was a Chris Hemsworth Extraction haircut. The front was left alone, but the rest completely removed--more than 3 inches! On the plus side he paid attention to detail and the haircut still looks good, I just wish he did what I asked.

The barber Ian May is the most inconsiderate barber in Executive Mens. I had an appointment at 8 o clock today Saturday October 24th and my name is Daniel Mayo you can find me in the books... but he didnt care, he took his buddy over me. While Im waiting and trying to get a haircut because I have a business flight to catch at 1030 the same day. First time going there and had to walk away and I will not return. IAN MAY didnt even apologize for being late or whatever his POOR excuse was. Another barber was the one to apologize to me for the WASTE OF TIME. Next time Ill be going to Floyds 99 Barbershop where at least if they make a mistake the barber owns it like a man AND GIVES YOU A DISCOUNT FOR THE NEXT CUT and doesnt hide behind the glass window.If you going to book do not book with IAN MAY OR JUST DONT BOOK AT ALL!WASTE OF TIME AND GAS.

Deya is the man! I got the literal worst haircut of my life a couple days ago and was told to come here to get it redone. Deya took care of everything when I told him my issue. Got me in and out of the door quickly and my hair looked the best it ever has! I will 100% go back to him to get my hair cuts from now on.
