I switched over to State Farm last year and havent been happier. They lowered my car insurance rates for me and my family and the Drive Safe & Save program has saved us even more money. The staff is very courteous and professional and bends over backwards to help you out and I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I have been a State Farm customer for 20yrs., and in all those years I dealt with great agents. But Im reading this review, because this is the 1st agent that I have to say is the worst. Now a days customer service is everything and when you pay for insurance; which is not cheap, you only ask for good customer service. Greg McAplin not only lacks that, but so does his employees. When requesting my Notary bond, he didnt even know how to complete the form properly. He doesnt realize he messes with his customers lively hood. I didnt have my notary for work or personal. Waited 4 weeks for my bond just to have it completed incorrectly. This is now a 3 month delay. THis is not the customer service I paid for. There are so many other agents, I guess its time to test the waters and see if i can find an agent that still believes in customer service.Think twice about signing up with Gregs office.........

First, Sara, the sales rep with the agent, Greg McAlpine, was great getting me all the auto and renters insurance details so I could make a quick decision. She took time in a pleasant and professional manner to explain and answer my questions. This is a new insurance for me, so I can say on the onset, things have gone extremely to make a decision after reviewing other insurance companies in addition to State Farm. I do not know anyone in the office, but I did feel comfortable with this small office setting with the knowledge I could make a call and get answers without long waiting.

Ive been with State Farm for going on 10 years now. Greg has recently taken over for my old agent. I thought my service before was good, well up kept, and easy when needed. With the recent change I feel it is outstanding! Greg has gone above and beyond to help us organize things while moving, he also brought up ideas on re arranging our auto coverage for better coverage, adding coverage in certain areas and withdrawing from certain coverage that we dont use etc. All of this while saving us some money and keeping our home life safe from the unexpected. Like in my case they told me that theres no reason for me to leave them because all the insurance companies have this exact same policy, so fine if they all have the same policy I might as well just find the cheapest company and this isnt it.Ive been a customers of their since I was 15 and driving on a permit. I always knew that it was expensive but my parents had it their whole life and had been happy so they recommended it to me plus we were a family so you get a discount. And I tolerated the higher prices because I believe that when the s*** hit the fan I didnt want to spend my time arguing with the insurance company I just wanted to be covered, Thats the whole point of an insurance company!I could barely afford $1,000 car at the time because I had no job history and I was young and so people could exploit me for the least amount of money despite my qualifications.And I dont remember exactly what the value was but just for me driving a vehicle what I paid for in cash on minimum wage basically was $250-350 dollars a month for a car worth a thousand dollars. Thats how expensive this company is.Im almost 40 now, and I figure between me getting older adding my own family to the insurance and carrying them even points where I would have been qualified for USAA, god forbid I had insurance with USAA. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️I have vehicles with them houses with them renter insurance with them rental insurance and among other upgrades between multiple states. And recently when the s*** hit the fan theyre not going to cover me for a $7,000 sewage backup damage because they consider the pipe the property of The government but theyre not willing to send their agents to a lawsuit against the government for damages so theyve especially written an exclusion for this purpose. I have paid them hundreds of thousands of dollars in my lifetime, and I have multiple agents representing me.This is an exploitive business, because if youre literally going to provide a better service than any other company then by charging more youre just ripping people off.I could have just kept that money and pocketed the whole time in a savings account and when things happened I would still be up $100,000 at least.If you dont think Im being fair please call my agent and get his side of the story and see if theres anything that Im saying here that he can deny as fact. Hes in lake Forest California, and because this is a company policy Im going to leave this review on every single agents website Yelp review site that I can find. And then I want to ask everybody to help turn away from this company, because if its a race to the bottom on quality it should be a race to the bottom on cost too.Because at this point what choice do I have as a customer, am I going to sue the state myself when this is the entire reason I hired the insurance company? No I can just leave a nasty review oh boo-hoo maybe they can close up and rename to get new reviews started from scratch.So now in one of the most important periods of my life, I am not covered, I have to go look for a new insurance company and transfer everything and deal with all that headache too. Save yourself the time people and find a cheaper company. Thank you.I was tempted to send this to their corporate executives first but what am I doing just going to them on my knees?

Stay far, far away from Statefarm!! Weve been customers of Statefarm for over twenty years (multiple lines of insurance between all vehicles, homes, renters insurance, etc) and let me tell you-when you need them, it doesnt matter how much money youve given them or how loyal youve been to them as a customer, they will not help you. Theyll find every loophole because theyre the ones that wrote them in. Theyre the expensive insurance company out there and have no better coverage or service than any of the other companies so given that, just go ANYWHERE else with your money! They are denying a $7000 claim on our home due to a sewer backup because they specifically wrote a policy that says they will NOT fight the city for you--which is exactly what we pay them to do, FIGHT for us!! Thats literally their entire purpose!Statefarm is good for nothing but draining your bank account and leaving you high and dry when you need them. STAY AWAY.
