I adore this family-owned Jewelry store! Ricky and his family have helped me with fixing broken vintage earrings, watches, and most of all, I had a diamond necklace that was too fancy! I gave them some ideas and got a necklace and an eternity ring out of one necklace! My husband liked them too--he finally got a wedding band he actually wears after 30+ years. Thanks Ricky and Cyndee, you are my jewelers for life!

We are new to town and I needed to get my solitaire diamond ring repaired. I am nervous about having any work done on my ring that consists of it leaving the jewelers store. Ricky understood my concerns and put me at ease. It happened that an appraiser was going to be there later that week so we arranged for me to get it appraised while there. Id been wanting to get that done for years but never found a place I trusted enough. (most want to send it out to be appraised) The appraisal was a reasonable fee and done in person and the repairs were done on time, looked fabulous and were also very reasonably priced. I am thrilled to have found this gem of a store and look forward to doing more business there in the future!

I have never in my lifetime been treated as rudely as Ricky Poe did to me today! Thursday September 2,2021. He was rude, obnoxious and other words I can’t mention. Told me to get out of his store and never come back. I have done business with him and his family for at least 5 years and had great experiences but today WOW! First he demanded I make an appointment and I said ok when I get back to my car I will call and make one. Didn’t realize I needed one. Then as his wife had her back to me I said “Hey Cindy can I get a watch battery?”He grabbed the watch and started back and then he brought it back and started his tirade on I couldn’t talk like that in his store and I needed to leave!!!What an awful experience and what a horrid way to treat a customer. I had told people how nice they were but never again will I recommend them or set foot in that store.

Great place to shop for jewelry. Everyone is very helpful, knowledgeable and honest. If you need something repaired, they are the best. Also, they have a great variety of jewelry and their prices are reasonable. I am a customer for life.

I went to Georgetown Jewelry in search of a custom engagement ring and wedding band. I showed them the design I wanted, and not only did they make it happen, they exceeded my expectations! The rings are GORGEOUS, and Im so happy I get to wear them for the rest of my life.Ricky and his whole family were so friendly and helpful through the whole process. My experience with Ricky Poe at Georgetown Jewelers was very unsettling. Based on the many other 1 star reviews, Ricky Poe appears to have a history of using customer intimidation tactics, whether to cover careless workmanship or merely express his disdain for his patrons.My summarized story is this: I brought a watch in to Georgetown Jewelers to have a new battery installed. The watch is inexpensive (Skagen) and fairly old, but was in good working order prior to the battery having died. It also happened to be my 88 year-old dad’s favorite watch. After the battery was replaced and I brought the watch home, I noticed that the little hand had come loose and was rattling around behind the glass. I brought it back and had the unfortunate experience of meeting Ricky Poe. I explained what had happened and asked could the little hand possibly have come loose when they changed the battery. He then started raising his voice and became visibly agitated. He said he didn’t appreciate me walking into his store and accusing him of breaking the watch. He said it was old and cheap and wasn’t worth fixing anyway. He said he has video surveillance of all work that’s done in the store and he was certain if we watched it we wouldn’t find any wrongdoing. I can’t remember if I said it or just thought it, but I felt he should do just that – look at the video and see what happened. At this point I started retreating towards the door and tried to stay calm. I am a petite woman and Ricky is fairly tall and imposing. He kept coming towards me as I moved to the door. He was completely unhinged and I felt unsafe. I left the store and will never go back. Sadly, in my case, his customer intimidation tactics were successful, as I do not plan to pursue this issue further.Save yourself the distress and choose another jeweler.

I heard some great stories about this store so here I went this morning with some gold jewelry from my mom from Europe ask how much I would get for it. The sales person told me about $ 800.00 for both pieces. I told her how come there is different amounts everywhere. Last week someone told me I was going to get $ 380.00 for it. Then I asked her to tale a look at some different jewelry and she told me no if you are not selling anything I will not look at anything. Which I think is horrible customer service. I was not sure if I was going to sell anything I still have tons of jewelry at home which I was going to take by and maybe sell it. But this experience made me so mad. I will never go to your store again and will make sure that other people know also.

Beware!! The owner is mentally unstable! When I questioned the high price of a repair, done without my consent, he first claimed I was lying and that I had been contacted- then when he saw a note on his paperwork that said “could not reach,” said we had not returned their call. No one ever left us a vm. He then said he was sending the item back and would return it to me broken -was not willing to offer any discount- even though I had not asked for a discount -and then when I asked him why he was becoming so hostile he yelled at me that he had cameras and recorders in the store that would “hold up in a court of law”...no idea where he was going with that???So I just left. There is something seriously wrong with him! I will never go back!

I cannot recommend this place enough! 10/10! After I went to Walmart to have my watch battery replaced and almost left there in tears because of how they treated my watch, scratches and dents everywhere, I immediately looked up a local place and found this establishment. Not only were they very polite and replaced my watch battery quickly, they buffed out the scratches and reshaped the back of my watch so that it could be put back together. The battery came with a one year warranty and it was such a good price too! Support your local businesses, these people are fantastic!

Sent my engagement ring in for repair after my solitaire fell out. Turns out my the person who hand crafted my ring originally glued in the stone. Georgetown Jewelry rebuilt my bezel setting (instead of re gluing) so it would last a lifetime and did an AMAZING job. My ring looks better than it did when I first got it and I am so grateful for the care and attention they put into their work! Highly recommend, and will definitely use them for years to come. Aug 3 (2 days ago)I took my Hampton pocket watch into Georgetown Jewelry on 5/15/2017 for a REPAIR ESTIMATE. See store receipt. Ricky Poe told me he wasgoing to Houston to drop off some watches and would take my watch as well.The receipt shows a ready date of 6/5/2017. Returned to store forestimate, but no estimate. I called the office several days later, and no estimate. Went to the store to pick up the watch, but watch was at a local repair shop and had not been looked at. I told the store lady to forget the ESTIMATE, and bring the watch back to their shop. The store lady passed this information to Ricky, who was at the repair shop. The lady told me it would in there store tomorrow. I decided not to do have anything done to it as it was taking them way too long. Two days later I returned to the jeweler to get my watch, and they presented me with a BILL instead of a ESTIMATE. I asked what the cost was and Ricky told me it was what we agreed up on, $350. I told him I wanted an estimate, not a bill. Ricky said he would lower the fee by $50. I told him the watch was not worth $350 or $300. He told me there would be no charge, but he was going to remove the parts they installed. I had no problem with that. Tendays later I got a call from their shop to come and pick up my watch, NOCHARGE. I picked up the watch, but they didnt take back their parts? When I got home I tried to wind the watch and see if it worked, and it didnt. It did work the 1st day I took it to their shop. All I wanted done was a new faceplate, hands straightened, and cleaned I got curious so Iremoved the back of the watch and saw the reason why it wasn,t working.Someone put something; maybe putty or glue, on the main drive shaft that drives the rest of the gears. I was able to remove the putty with a dental tool and it works fine NOW. It appears to me that someone tried to retaliate by putting in a area ; hard to see, to stop the watch from running or ruin the watch. See watch picture below of receipt an watch with back removed.To complicate things, my wife talked to Ricky Poe about repairing my watch for my birthday. She told him she would pay up to $350. on repairs,thinking they still had my Bulova Spaceview watch. They had my spaceview a few weeks earlier, but was unable to repair it. I had it repaired in Alpine, TX on 6/8/2017.1. The watch never went to Houston for a ESTIMATE like I was told.2. They had a local repair man do the repairs, but not in his shop?3. I got a BILL instead of a ESTIMATE, that ended up being canceled.4. Watch was dropped off May 5 2017 and returned late July....too long. See receipt from their shop.5. Communication was poor as i was told several different things by themthat never happened.6. It appears to me that there was an attempt to sabotage my watch .Seepicture showing the back of watch exposed. Look close and you can see the filler that was used. i still have filler/putty in case I need it later.YOU BE THE JUDGE, I WONT GO BACK OR RECOMMEND

Went in to replace batteries on some of my husbands watches, one of the watches was giving trouble so they went above and beyond to make sure I had a working watch. Honest jewelry stores are hard to find, glad I found this one! Will be returning for a purchase soon, especially since they adore tanzanite as much as I do!

Not even a one star but that was the lowest rating available. This is the worst place Ive ever delt with. Gave them a simple job of sobering gold charms to a bracelet, the charms were placed for them to attach. Went to pic the bracelet up, not only were the charms not where they were place, some were on backwards, the links were mangled and not soldered. When this was brought to the owners attention (my statement - this is the worst job Ive ever seen) he verbally attacked me, grabbed the bracelet from me, and said he would fix it.......when he got to it. Needless to say, we came back, got the bracelet and would NEVER do business with this verbally abusive person and hope this serves as a warning to others.

This is the place I got my engagement ring from. Jordan helped me the entire way from figuring out what colors would be good, placement of the stones, and sending me pictures of what the ring would look like once completed. A total custom job that originally was going to take a month, but he managed to have it ready in about three weeks instead. My aunt and uncle shop here occasionally, and they recommended it to me, and Ill gladly pass on the recommendation, along with recommending Jordan.

My wife needed a diamond ring sized. Being new to the Georgetown area we really didnt know where to go or who to trust. My wifes diamond is a rare cut, high quality, not really big, but a very valuable stone. The owner was more than willing to accommodate our request and took all the time necessary to make us feel comfortable and provided feedback about the diamond. Very impressive. I had such an absurdly terrible experience at Georgetown Jewelry that it would have been almost comical if it hadnt involved a vulnerable child. My 3 year old daughter and I were in the store waiting for my watch band to be replaced. We had looked into the display cases, my toddler commenting on all the pretty things, and went to sit in the small two chair waiting area at the front of the store. A young sales associate was in the repair area, working on my watch while an older, more dignified salesman was helping two other customers.Suddenly the older man looked up at my daughter, glared at her and began angrily shouting NO! NO! We DONT DO that here! Get your feet off that chair! NO! This astonishing outburst was because my daughter was sitting quietly, with her back against the chair back, and, being 3 years old, her short toddler legs did not reach past the lip of the chair, so her (incidentally very clean silver ballet shoes) were resting on the seat.My daughter has never been vehemently screamed at by a random adult before and so burst into tears. As if his near psychotic outburst wasnt enough, he then actually LAUGHED AT MY STUNNED 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER and said to the customers he was helping Shes probably never been corrected before (!!!???????)I took my now sobbing daughter outside, and told her that when she calmed down we were going to go back in and ask the rude man for an apology, but she just kept sobbing wanna go home, wanna go home.Needless to say, I will never again patronize this BIZARRE jewelry store...

Georgetown Jewelrys Jordan Poe custom designed my wedding ring to match my cathedral style engagement ring and it was greater than I could have dreamed for myself. He designed what other jewelers told me was not possible to do to make my band match exactly to my engagement ring without taking away from its intricate design. AND to top that, he beat the price of the quote I was given by other jewelers for a band that was not even what I wanted. The quality, price, and customer service was such that I would never buy jewelry anywhere else again. What an AWESOME experience! We recently moved to Georgetown and have been finding our way with new shops and services, today I went into Georgetown Jewelry to have a pin replaced in my watch band. They did it in minutes! Plus, replaced the battery in another watch. All while I waited. Then, I asked if they could replace the capacitor in my Seiko Kinetic, sure... $60! I have been waiting to replace that for two years because I just knew it would be outrageous... not at Georgetown Jewelry! 5 well deserved stars from me!!

Fantastic customer service, I was able to get help very quickly. The job they did repairing my watch was great and very reasonably priced. They have earned my business with their insight and considerate help. I really felt welcome even though I was there for a watch and not a wedding ring or one of their collectables.

5. Georgetown Jewelry was super helpful right from the get go. My initial phone call was to ask if they had a laser welder and could they fix my glasses. I drove in from Copperas Cove and they looked at my glasses and fixed them in just a few minutes. All the staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. By fixing my existing glasses frames and they saved me hundreds of dollars.

I was treated with the utmost friendliness and professionalism today at Georgetown Jewelry. My questions and inquires about the process of selling gold were answered without making me feel uneducated or uncomfortable. I was nervous because this was my first time selling gold, but this experience set me at ease. It was such a breeze and a true pleasure to support this family owned and opposites business! Let me start off by saying my vice in life is diamonds. I’ve loved them even as a little girl. I’ve upgraded and redesigned my wedding ring throughout the years. When my husband and I moved to Georgetown, one of my clients highly recommended Georgetown Jewlery. I will never use anyone else after going to them. It takes special and patient individuals to work in this industry because every customer I would imagine is extremely particular and picky (myself especially)! They have over exceeded any expectations. I’m in the process of redesigning my wedding ring, again, and they put a beautiful handpicked lab sapphire in the other. It’s gorgeous. Jordan has been wonderful to work with and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are walking out the door a satisfied customer. Rickie and Cyndee are incredibly inviting and make the whole experience fun. It’s well worth the wait if they are busy. They do above impeccable work, are extremely knowledgeable, and are cost efficient!! I’ve since sent several of my clients to them and they all have been 100% satisfied. I highly recommend!!!!

I went into Georgetown Jewelry to have our 47 year old wedding bands repaired. I explained the repairs I wanted to a lady at the counter for my wifes ring and she call the manager (assuming) over, but he wanted to do a different repair for $22. I explained, again, what I wanted done, which was the original way the rings were designed. He finally agreed to do the repair I wanted for $32.On the mans ring, I needed have it resized, but I didnt want the 47 year old engraving on the inside of the ring damaged. He said he couldnt do the resizing without damaging the engraving and grabbed the ring and shoved the mans ring back at me. This was quite shocking to me.Per their website; repairs while you wait or 2 to 5 days. When I asked when my wifes rings would be ready, she said all repairs will take a week. I told the lady I dont want to wait a week, thinking I might be able to get it quicker, per the website. Before the lady could respond the manager went out of his way to grabbed the rings from the counter and again shoved the rings into a face and said thanks for coming in.This is very poor customer service, or better yet NO service. My previous experiences with Georgetown Jewelry were good, but this guy needs to understand what customer service is all about. Im 66 years old and this is the worst experience I have had with a retail store. Ill NEVER go back.

The female didn’t want my sale even though it was small. Good service is what grows a good relationship. When asked what I wanted, I told her I needed a battery for my watch. I presented my 2 watches Asked if she would snap a back on one, and remove the back and get battery size from the original battery. Not a big deal to any other Jeweler, part of battery replacement. Hahaha this mature female looked at me and said four times “ you said all you needed. was a battery, right? shaking her head trying to get me to acknowledge her. I was like “no, I said I needed a new battery” shaking her head like I was been lessened in semantics she repeated herself 3 more times. “ you said you ONLY wanted a battery.” strangest thing I have seen in GT. Someone was having a bad day, not me so, I happily took my watches and bid her a good day.

This was my first experience with these jewelers, and this review is about how my situation was handled....I wanted to get a watch engraved for Christmas, but the back of the watch already had the brand name going across it. I went to them to see if there was anything that could be done to make this idea a reality. Jordan worked with me and suggested I purchase a sterling silver plate to be engraved and then welded over the back of the watch. They ordered the plate for me ($70 ish after tax) and I took it to get laser engraved ($35). The man who engraved it did a beautiful job, and I rushed the plate and watch over to them immediately after having the engraving done. They called me yesterday to pick up the watch......It’s completely different.There was a problem/accident and the plate ended up getting ruined and they did something different. Imagine going to pick up your order, your jewelry, and looking at something different than what you dropped off! I was SO disappointed and upset. I never received a phone call letting me know what happened or giving me options on how to move forward... they made the decision for me. I spent a little over $100, based on their recommendation, on the plate & engraving. I understand that accidents can happen or things don’t go according to plan, BUT I should’ve been made aware. The job they ended up doing looks fine, although scratched. I’m just so disappointed with how this was handled and won’t be using them again and I don’t recommend them for anyone.

They smeltered family gold to create the band and helped him hand pick the diamond! The owner is extremely rude, he kicked me out of the store and said he doesn’t want to buy any gold. He had offered me 5% below spot melting price for 1 ounce gold bullion with assay in mint condition, when I asked him “is there any way you can give me a better offer because I have been offered 2% below spot price from both APMEX and JM Bullion” he got very loud and angry and kicked me out of his store. I told him that’s not the right way to treat your VIP customers, he didn’t seem to care and was very belligerent and very rude. I don’t recommend wasting your time at this location unless you don’t mind getting insulted and humiliated the same way he insulted and humiliated me.

I found this place just by walking in and was very happy with their customer service and their expertise they were able to fix my watch right then and there and for a really low cost I would recommend this business to friends and family and come again for my jewellery needs.

Very honest and helpful staff courteous to all wether you spend 50.00 or 50k they treat you the sameI suggest them to all my friends and see them first for all my jewelry needs

VERY bad customer relations! Wow!! The owner is one hot head and maybe the son hasnt fallen far from the tree! DONT go in there unless you want to get lectured about all your fault, etc. Made a mistake fixing a watch of mine and blamed me for not knowing how to run my watch! Only had worn the watch for 25 years!! Anyway, paid him and wore the watch swimming, which I had done for 25 years, and it filled with water. Took it somewhere else and they found that the pieces that made it waterproof hadnt been replaced! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Took my Rolex in to have a new spring bar placed in the owners of the store were very helpful an the hospitality was very humble also there son has a ton of knowledge on ventage rolex watches an the owner also allowed my son to play with there dog while I was having it done will be doing future business with them because of there knowledge and being very humble easy 5 stars!!

I had a engagement ring done that was supposed to use gold & diamonds from my grandmothers ring. I gave them a picture of the ring I wanted customly created, they made an electronic design just to give me a visual of the ring, & even made a wax mold. Up to this point Ricky & his son Jordan were both extremely kind & helpful. I explained on the wax mold what I didn’t like and they said it was just because it was a mold that it didn’t look quite right. They guarenteed the changes I had pointed out on the wax mold would be made so we gave them the okay to start on the ring. Three weeks later we pick it up and already it’s missing a diamond. The ring I recieved looked nothing like the picture I had showed and everything I explained I didn’t want was present in the ring I paid for. The craftsmen-ship was awful, unequal, and just overall poor quality. When we went to return the ring I explained what I didn’t like about the ring and I gave two options, 1) they could fix it to my standard free of charge like it should have been or 2) I wanted my money back. At this point Jordan came from the back snatched the ring from the table and raised his voice saying to just give us our money back. No consideration to fixing it, No apologies or trying to understand, just anger. At this point I explained that I still wanted the ring because they had use my own pieces that I provided to make the ring I was returning. To this Jordan pulled out the jewelry I brought to be used for my engagement ring and said “Oh you mean these rings” in a snarky, in your face manner. At this point I was lost for words at the customer service and lack of ownership of their mistakes. As Ricky’s wife wrote me a check for my return I thanked them for all the time and effort put it to the ring and even apologized for it not being what I wanted. To this, she replied “Clearly not since you are so upset”. I grabbed my check said thank you and got an abrupt “Bye.”Now I would like to say up until this point they were kind and polite. They did not however make the ring I wanted nor anything worth the money I spent on it. I went in way more times then I should have and explictly explained that I wanted my grandmothers ring used, which they ignored. Not only did they not use the jewelry I provided that they said they would use, they never gave it back until i had to ask for it. Who knows what would have happened to these sentimental pieces if all had been well with the ring I paid for.I am truly disappointed in the quality and care this company provided. Ricky and Jordan promised so much and did not deliver in the slitist. I will never be back here for ANYTHING, nor would I recommended this to any family or friends. I would also advise you go anywhere else cause I do not wish this type of quality or disrespect on anyone.
