Well, first I grew up in Geneva so I am just slightly partial to this shop. One of my first watches is from here (1976). Great group of associate whom have worked there for a while (always an indication of great management!)

The on-site jeweler Jeff was great and Marry was a huge help. Actually every staff member we spoke with was great. Can’t thank them enough!

I brought in a gold chain with a broken clasp. I was quoted $219 to replace clasp.Costly, but I okayed the price, I understand gold prices are high these days. A couple days later I got a call from them telling me they were able to repair the clasp, no need to replace it. $29. I do not even know where to start. My wife and I had a large number of items that needed to be examined, and repaired. Many of these items are vintage and antiques dating to early 1800s. Wynn, was the person who was helping us, and it was not easy for her. She had to examine, and talk to the master craftsmen several times. The store was even very honest when they could have let me do what I had wanted, but they explained look we can do it, but its not worth doing. Yes, they talked me out of work, that is how honest they were.We even brought a watch that I was sure was totally past any salvage, but is very sentimental to my wife and I. They had the owner look at the watch, and while they made no promise, they gave us hope that at the very least it will look nice, and possibly can be made to run again.I have 100% trust in them, and currently have a good amount of valuable jewelry in their care, and I look forward to seeing the fantastic work they will do in restoring these timeless and in some cases very rare items. So not only are they repairing, but they are preserving history as well.The white glove treatment we received was unlike any other Jeweler we have worked with, and for us, it is our go to place.All I can say ti thank you Sate Street Jewelers, and thank you Wynn.

I was just thrilled with my experience at State Street Jewelers! I went in with several pieces of jewelry for an insurance appraisal. I was promptly welcomed by a really sweet employee and she made to feel right at home. She explained the entire appraisal process to me, while taking a look at several of my diamonds. I felt as though I had known her forever! She gave me a complete print out describing what would be done for the detailed appraisal and a final pricing. She also gave me a date that I could expect to pick up the completed appraisal. Upon my return I was waited on immediately by yet another beyond pleasant gal that welcomed me to the back of the store. She then took the time to go over each appraisal and I was on my way.I will return to State Street for all my Jewelry needs. Their pleasant family type manner, efficient business turn around time, beautiful store, great downtown Geneva easy parking, and the idea that they have been a cornerstone in town Geneva for so long makes me happy!!! Went to State Street Jewelers to have an antique diamond pendant of my grandmothers turned into a diamond eternity wedding band. Shannon was fantastic to work with and helped me understand what the ring would look like and ensure it matched my engagement ring. Excellent quality of work and I am very pleased with the final product! Great communication throughout the process. The store can get very busy on weekends (which is the only time I could visit since I live out of town) but the staff was always prompt and professional.

Initially went to a larger-chain-jewelry store thinking it might be slightly better priced but because of so many complications with orders, repairs, re-repairs and yes, re-re-repairs, I wasted much more TIME and money. State Street Jewelers had us finished in ONE visit at a better price than our initial visit to the larger-chain-jewelry. An associate there, Mary, was wonderful and beyond helpful in finding the exact piece in the catalog. Then Jeff, the onsite jeweler, was present to hear what we needed for the piece to be completed correctly. Being able to speak to the jeweler made things SO much easier (compared to waiting weeks on a repair/alteration that was made off of a written description). I thought I’d let everyone know that State Street jewelers in Geneva Illinois is a wonderful jewelry store. I had a ring that couldn’t part with they need to fixing and they reassured me that all will be well. They came through and I have full confidence in what they do a job was well done. And they also have lots of beautiful jewelry so I am planning on being a returning customer .

I had my ring repaired. The price was fair and they did a good job. I was slightly annoyed when I picked it up though as I waited well over 15 minutes for someone to notice I was in the show room. Even though there were two sales people going in and out of the back they refused to tell anybody I was there. Luckily after what seemed like forever a random person from the back was leaving for the day and asked me if I needed help and quickly took care of me. The lack of courtesy by the sales reps in the store not acknowledging me or telling all the extra people in the back someone needed help is enough for me not to come back there. There are plenty of other jewelry stores.

They were wonderful! Totally professional, friendly and EXTREMELY accommodating. I had my wedding rings resized and repaired, and appraised . They did an excellent job and they were able to move the pick up date by a fewdays due to circumstances which I really appreciated.

I went to State Street Jewelers in downtown Geneva on a snowy Tuesday with my mother. Our objective? To get two watch batteries replaced; to get my moms wedding and engagement rings expanded; and to make my wedding and engagement rings somehow smaller. The service Marci provided us was sparkling! We were first offered steamy hot beverages while the watches were taken in back for their new batteries. While that was being taken care of, Marci worked with my mom to get her new ring size. She was great at explaining the process to expand the rings! She told us about diamond tightening and everything involved. Next, she helped me with an easy option to make my somewhat big rings fit again (as during the winter my rings get loose). After putting spiral adjusters on the rings, they fit just great! We highly recommend State Street Jewelers - the service it offers is exemplary. They even helped me walk my mom to her car after we finished at the store, which just proves how excellent their service is. All around five-star experience! (And Jeff was awesome to speak with as well. Even think he did some extra shoveling for us!)

My husband suggested State Street Jewelers after reading their reviews and researching them. I had less than favorable experiences with other jewelers over the years, especially with repairs. Most places make you feel bad for wanting repairs and not necessarily purchasing. Not State Street! We primarily worked with Marci but every time weve been there or Ive spoken to someone on the phone, theyve been great! Marci exceeded my expectations ensuring extensive repairs on one very sentimental ring were done perfectly! She offered to clean our wedding rings and found an issue with the setting on my 24 year old diamond. Left unfixed, I could have lost the diamond. Repairs are even done on site and I think I recall they have 3 jewelers. Marci told me to come back and have both rings checked and cleaned every year. Thats impressive!Trust me, this is the place to go for great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff! This is my new jeweler for life; you will not be disappointed with State Street!

I worked with Aimee just after my Mother passed away in October.I had such a beautiful experience with Aimee then, that I told my daughter we should ask Amy if she would work with us on a piece for her.Aimee worked with my daughter Grace to create a necklace in remembrance of her grandmother, Nana Nancy.We brought in a gold bracelet that Nana Nancy left to Grace. It was very old lady looking and Grace was never going to wear it.Aimee appraised it and bought it from us to use as credit toward the new piece.She was spot on in asking the right questions to help narrow down the perfect special necklace that Grace would remember her Grandmother with and enjoy wearing! They chose a thin gold chain with a moon and star hanging from the moon. It was a special order, which was fun to put together. Neither of us have ever designed a piece of jewelry, and doing it with Aimee was really memorable. Aimee even suggested adding an N to the back of the star for Nana.We left feeling so excited because of Aimee making our experience feel so wonderful! She was just really so interested in pleasing my daughter, and doing so by spending a lot of time with us ( even coming in on her day off ).We just had so much fun!! Grace got in the car so excited and so happy!! I needed to have some custom work completed on a white gold watch that my mother designed herself back in the 1950’s. The bracelet was quite unique and in order to expand it, new links needed to be designed and casted. It looks spectacular and I can’t see any variance from the original links. My very first visit to State St. Jewlers was to drop off an item for engraving. The staff was friendly, professional and I was offered a welcomed bottle of water on a hot day.My return visit leaves me doubting the management and whether I would ever return.The woman who waited on me was apparently unable to smile or speak above a mumble and had the personality of a fish.Her co-worker, about 18 inches away, was waiting on another customer. That salesperson, in addition to smiling and speakering clearly, offered her customer a bottle of water. The temperature that day was 92 degrees. I wasnt offered any water even after the woman next to me was handed one.So my second visit to SS Jewlers, as I will refer to it in the future, was a failure from a staffing perspective.The engraving was well done, but it wasnt complicated or large. What is complicated apparently is hiring good staff. Of course the dish rag that waited on me could have been an owner or sleeping with one. That would account for her working in an upscale store and not stocking shelves at a Walmart. Something she seems to have all the personality to do.

Last minute Christmas shopping is never fun, but State Street Jewelers made it pleasant and stress free. Louise patiently helped me find just the right present for my wife. I like shopping local and State Street in Geneva makes it easy. Thank you.
