What a great experience! They gave me a great quote for my wheel bearings replacement. In the process they noticed my brake pads and rotors also were in bad shape. They took pictures and email me a new reasonable quote. The work was completed the same day! Happy Happy

I when went to Ricks shop for ailment it was super easy and they really nice. The service technician was really nice. When I got out of there I was surprised by the difference and that I didnt realize that I need to do this earlier.

My impressions from this 1st visit was that they are honest, and upfront about what is wrong with your vehicle. They explained to me what the problem was with my A/C and what the possible solutions were. It just so happens I was able to fix the A/C myself and save a lot of money on the repair. I gladly paid them the diagnostic fee, and they now have a new dedicated customer. Will be taking my Z28 to them about the A/C soon.I also had a nice conversation with the other customer that was there when I was waiting. He has been a repeat customer of theirs for a while and had nothing but good to say about them.+++ NOTE +++ I came here based on (acecapdoom)s customer review and several others also. I have also read the bad reviews. Based on just this Saturday while waiting for my vehicle to be diagnosed. I can tell you that Im willing to bet, that a lot of the BAD reviews are of the type of people I saw come in while I was there and heard what they were there for, and they just wanted Ricks to do their repair for what they wanted to pay, using their parts, which Ricks and most other shops wont do. I have used those kind of shops myself. Some people are just so arrogant that they think the world should adjust to them.

Very well kept shop. The owners name is Alex and he is very helpful and professional. Him as his technicians have experience working on all makes and models. I noticed that they even restore classic cars there, which is pretty cool to see!

I was referred to Ricks by a friend of mine and I have had nothing but great experience with the owner Alex and his mechanics! You want to know that the people you working on your car are competent but more importantly, honest! Ricks is interested in keeping customers for a lifetime instead of getting the most out or each transaction like other shops. I have referred many of my friends to RIcks and will continue to do so in the future.

This place keeps my 04 g35 running like the day I bought it, without price gauging me. The team there is always polite, and theyve always finished any repairs I needed quickly.

Alex was great, very honest, and gave me a deal. I had him check out a Prius that I wanted to buy, it looked perfect, everything I wanted. He put it up on the rack and emailed me all the pictures of rust and told me I shouldnt pay more than $2000 for the car. He was so friendly and knocked half the price off of the check up because I was a struggling college student. I had driven 2 hours to come buy the car, and I would have wasted $7000 if it wasnt for Alex. It was great to find an honest car mechanic so far from home.

I like this shop. You go all over town looking for a place that will have the integrity to not only complete the work but do it right the first time without eating you alive like the dealer does. Ricks is one of the good ones. Alex has been exceedingly straight forward and honest with me, showing me the obvious damage to any parts that need replacing and then giving a price for parts that (for what its worth) are about the same cost If I had purchased them myself. The price is fair for the work involved and though I have paid less elsewhere I havent gone back to the other guys, so fair is more than just money (time in transit, wait time for the fix, questionable parts being used and fixing symptoms without solving the problem). Ricks is MY garage and I highly recommend them.

This place took advantage of me, and tried to charge me 685$ to get new break pads and rotors on my front tires and shoes for my bsck. When I walked in there I asked them if they could tell me if I needed new brakes and they took my car to the back they did not tell me that they would end up trying to charge me $60 just to get an estimate thats ridiculous i said I would pay 40$ DO NOT COME HERE THEY ARE A RIP OFF. THE SAME PARTS THAT THEY WERE GOING TO PUT ON WAS $130 SO THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $500 FOR LABOR. According to the other place I went too I didnt even need new break pads!!!!

My family has been going to Ricks for years and swears by them. Recently in town and my truck dies - they have an honest evaluation and good advice.

The daughters vehicle was towed here/left after hours in our parking lot...the clutch was damaged....how would she have been able to drive on it, let alone for an entire 11 months before there was an issue? Anyone who knows anything about vehicles would completely agree. Like i said...not even possible.When the disgruntled customer came in with the complaint, we simply asked the customer come back with an invoice and or receipt before they come back, and they have yet to return or even call us! We would never refused to speak to or acknowledge anyone! Come. Please. We are waiting for you.She brought in her own part and left with the old one. There is no warranty on parts or labor when you bring in your own parts. So sorry that your daughter has driven so hard in her vehicle that it is already damaged again! We have cameras and proof that the clutch was switched. What a liar! And the shop you have taken it to is Crooked! Family owned and operated. Alex is a good guy. He went out of his way to fix my truck in the right way. The labor prices are competitive and he does not over charge for parts like most places do. My truck is 15 years old and still love it. Without a good honest mechanic, I would probably just break down and buy a new vehicle so I can honestly say this place has saved me many thousands of dollars over the past couple of years.Once again I had a problem that could have been diagnosed for a lot more, but Alex figured it out and got it fixed for less than I thought. Not only great service, but a great attitude as well.

So Ive been to Ricks multiple times and never had a problem with them until last week, I brought my car in with a few problems they were able to get the car started again but for some reason the next day I have the same problems that I had when I brought it in and on top of that all of my transmission fluid is just leaking out like spilt Kool-Aid I never had a transmission problem prior to me going to this shop. I honestly just wont my money back.

Got a chance to intern for ricks and loved every second of it! I never saw an un-happy customer or a customer who didnt love alex amazing experience all around.

Last time we used Ricks, I felt cheated. Even sent a message to the shop. No response. Quality of service and response seems hit or miss.

Where do I start! I have been going to Ricks Auto and Body shop for about 6-7 years now. Alex the owner is great as well as the staff he has. They are all very friendly and eager to help. If they do not know the answer right away they will take the time to find out for you and not put you on the clock while doing so. Ricks is great at assessing what needs to be done and doing it in an efficient manner and they have never, ever tried to sell me or fix anything that did not need it. Alex( the owner)in my personal experience is an honest man and he has always been that way even with my wife. Today, i had to write this review not because I was asked to but because if it will allow others to know for sure that there is a place in Garland that does excellent work at a fair price, Ricks Auto and Body Shop is the place to go. 2 weeks ago i hit a curb pretty hard in my wife car....ooops! During that time she was also hit by our neighbor and she took over getting the insurance from our neighbor to have the car fixed. Of course the insurance company told her where to go and she did. I thought well, we might as well have them inspect the damage i did to the hub cap and possibly the tire and wheel. My wife was quoted $640.00! They said we needed a new wheel, a new tire and two new hubcaps and a wheel alignment. When she told me this i about fell over. So, i immediately called Ricks because I really didnt know for sure if all this work was really needed. Alex told me to bring the car in. I did and while I waited Alex had his team and himself working on repairing the damage that I did to my wifes car. In his expert assessment we did not need to buy any parts at all. He said he could fix the small dings in the wheel, balance the tire and sand smooth and repaint the hubcaps. He also said i didnt need a new tire. I am still willing to buy new hubcaps if my wife brakes out a magnifying glass and says she wants factory new ones. If she does fine. But from my eyes after the work they did, it is not needed at all. Ricks Auto saved me several hundred dollars and was able to finish the job while i waited. They fixed the wheel, the hubcaps and the did a tire balance and alignment. Again, i was not prompted to write any of this and if you had a different experience with Ricks than I do every time I go there, then i must question you, not them. Call and talk with Alex directly or allow one of his staff to assist you in all your auto needs, you will not be sorry! It feels good to spend money with companies like this. Everyone knows how it feels to get ripped off, but when I have someone treat me as well as this service does I just have to tell everyone. Thank you Alex, you have a customer for life.....cheers!
