I took my car to this shop for tires and brakes change and I was extremely satisfied with the work they did. I had compared the quotes I got from many other shops in the area and felt that this establishment provided the best (clear and honest ) quote for the cost to service my car. I will certainly visit again for any mechanical works.

They LIE very regularly. They often tell you one price for a part but if you check for yourself you will find that they have overcharged you for that part. Sometimes they may claim to have done a repair but in fact they did not. In general, they tend to overcharge the customer with no apparent good reason for it. Their work though tends to be very precise and effective. They are very knowledgeable and responsive to the customer. However, their greatest fault is there stubborn insistence on overcharging the customers.

BE AWARE that they LIE about cost of repair. They performed unauthorized diagnostics that did not even fix the problem of my car, then charged me for something that they did not even fix. They also said they had to tow my car for a 2nd opinion (again with out my knowledge and approval) and that I was now responsible for the cost of the Tow at a whopping $350.00. Not sure what kind of business they are trying to run, but I can tell you its not a good one. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR here...there are other mechanic shops in the area that will get the job done in a professional and honest manner.

WOW!! RUDE 0 Stars minus 100 stars if had an option! how are you in business!!!!! Please save your money and never use them!!!! they mess with the wrong person!!!I had to call the cops today on them. The guy behind the counter told me to shut up and get out the shop. I didnt say anything disrespectfully to him. All i ask was why are you typing so much for an invoice that should been ready 2 weeks ago. ALSO he tried to charge us an extra $500 that i never agreed on. If you take the car to a dealer for a second opinion, its on YOU. The agreement is between you and the dealer its not the customer responsibility if you cant fix the car. They are thieves. Cops came for me to have something in writing to take them to court!!!

I am very happy with the prices, but I feel I waisted money because both my rotors and brakes were needed to be replaced but only my brakes were without no call. So needless to say my car still stutters when braking.

I’ve been going to Dan for years now and he’s always got time to squeeze me in. I know he’s always busy, but he never makes me feel like he is because he always makes time same day or next day to look at my car. At this point, he’s even made the check in system electronic so I can check all the free services I want in addition to selecting from the “usual” menu or adding special requests. However, my favorite thing about Zimmerman’s is that I always get my car back same day, usually within a couple hours, no matter how much work I needed done. I work my car pretty hard and it’s nice to have a shop that is so diligent with their work and aware of their customers’ needs.

Received top customer service from making an appointment on the phone to the day I got my car repaired. I’m a loyal BMW owner and I used to go to the dealership up until now. BMW dealership had one of the best customer and products. But on my last visit to the dealership disappointed me by making up things to repair on my car. I went to Zimmerman after reviewing on Yelp and gave me a list of things to fix in priority. so far so good and thanks for the refreshments and comfortable couches!!! Keep up the great work.

Came to this shop on a short notice. They were willing to do Mount/balanced and alignment. Although the waiting was a little longer than usual with no appointment , they did not scratch my wheels and my car feels a lot smoother. I took my car to a diff shop previously and the other shop took my car on a 10 mile test drive. Hence, I was scared dropping my car off here but they were honest and I will be bringing my Lexus here in the future !

Best auto repair services I have had. I took my car with a constant tire air leak problem to my cars dealer service 3 different times and they couldnt figure out the problem. Then took it to Zimmerman and they found a nail in my tire and repaired right away. The repair and oil change services were always quick and reasonably priced.

Finally an honest car shop. I noticed a burning smell coming from my car for a few days. Took it there and they looked it over for free. Ive been coming here for a few years and Zimmerman has provided consistently good service. I have Toyota Camry and its still in great condition thanks to great regular maintenance by Zimmerman. Only downside is that wait times can be lengthy and theres really not much to do around the shop. They do offer complimentary coffee and tea and free wifi while you wait. Overall, id definitely recommend.

Ive been going to Zimmerman Auto for years now and all my car work is done by Zimmerman. He is one the most honest and dependable guy in town. Never tries to overcharge, or add unnecessary additional work, gives straight answers. He will let you know if he can or cannot fix something. I have recommended to my several of my friends and they have been very happy with him as well. Never had any issue.Zimmerman, the owner is a man of few words. Sometimes i wish he would give more detailed recommendations but he explains everything in the least amount of words. :-)

They are very low pressure about additional repair work, but always have a recommendation. Cheap prices for all work. Waiting room is comfortable but probably best to drop your car off as it generally takes at least an hour for an oil change on the weekend.After I switched to a new mechanic, I found that the oil pan drain plug had been stripped and glued in place with sealant during one of their cheap oil changes.You get what you pay for?

Ill always bring my car to Zimmerman Automotive. After being fed up with the high prices and phony courtesy of a dealership maintenance center, a co-worker recommended Zimmerman and Ive been very pleased with their services over the past 2 years. The service is quality, the prices are very fair for this area, and they will never try to sell you on anything you do not need (a great break from the salesmans at the dealership).

I need to be really honest,I Went through a situation where my entire business inventory for priceless jewelry and vintage pieces. Insurance didnt cover everything, so I had to go back to my firm and when spending thousands moving, getting a new place I. New York and moving two cars one at a time from Miami. My second car transmission died on the second trip. I was laid off from my firm because of downsizing, my back taxes from business were due and my college loans and my savings just flew away. Very unbelievable time I couldnt have foreseen. I had the car shipped but they took two more weeks to ship instead of told two days from a lot to this shop to have it fix, my money was gone due to automatic payments.It was just bad timing, so Dan waited for me to get back on my feet and lock in a just as a professor at the university which took a while to find a new position and make the payment for the car. His mechanics even held out their payment which took longer than expected due to not being able to travel 5 hours due to the heavy snow. They were just so helpful I built the car up with thousands in my better situations and to lose the car would have been so sad. She is my heart. So I owe them everything and I hope one day I can do something for them in the future. It really was special for them to be this understanding. So definitely its a shop to go to and keep going... Ive been going there for over a year now, and there have been at least a few occasions where they could have really ripped me off and did not. They are fast, honest, well priced, and do good work. I couldnt ask for anything more.

Be careful if you are a new comer to MD. I went there yesterday to get an MD inspection. It was total rip off estimate. They recommended to fix rear caliper and brake pad, which were replaced about less than 4 months ago. They said it was because of brake fluid leakage. I asked them to show me the damage, and that took about an hour to just see that. I wasted about 5 hours there. Funny thing is that I drove from MI to MD without any problem just few weeks ago, and my brake fluid was FULL when I checked after came back home! It didnt make any sense to me.I am surprised that they have so many good reviews. They may have reasonable price or something, but it was total rip off estimate. I would not recommend anyone who needs the inspection, especially.

I have been here a few times for various things such as oil change and tire rotation. Each time I had gone in with only a half hour to spare before closing time (the hours online were different than the actual operating hours by an hour) and they agreed to work on my car each time with no grief. Then, to my pleasant surprise given my usual experience with various auto shops, the issue I wanted resolved and ONLY that issue was worked on. They never tried to sell me something I didnt need, but did make mention if something was needing attention soon (the most recent thing they alerted me about was a faulty lug nut on my tire.) Very decent price, comfortable waiting room, and honest/timely service. Will not go anywhere else.

Dan is my go-to guy. He has taken great care of my vehicles and never does any unnecessary repairs. One of the things that always drives me crazy about other repair places is that they are always trying to convince you that you need more work done than you need. Dan may make recommendations on additional services, but usually only when it makes sense. He might say that while he is fixing the necessary issue, he will have access to something else that will need replacing soon and that it will save you money to do it now. He and his crew always seem to be mindful of the customers wallet and that is important to me.

I needed the timing belt/water pump replaced on my Acura MDX. Acura quoted me $1,600. Honda - $1,200. Other reputable mechanics also quoted somewhere in that range. So I bough the Aisin timing belt kit myself online for $150 and Zimmerman auto charged me only $450 for labor. There were few other places the quoted me at that dirt cheap price but I wanted to take my car to a place familiar with the Acura/Honda J-Series engines. Not a typical timing belt job that you want someone who does mainly oil changes or brake jobs to be working on. You need special Honda tools and also a super heavy duty impact gun to get the crank bolt off on these. I didnt want my engine to be ruined by some inexperienced shop so I brought it here. At first I was skeptical because the price was really low but they did a superb job. I also brought in a new alternator for them to replace while they do the timing belt because I like to be a little proactive and change out things before they go out. I expected them to charge me at least half an hours worth of labor extra since you do have to go a little out of the way to replace it but they didnt charge me any extra to replace the alternator. I also asked them to put back all the old parts back in the box for me to see how bad the old belts were and it was definitely getting there. I give this place a 10/10 for value and 10/10 for expertise. Also, I called towards the end of the day to schedule the appointment and the earliest availability they had was 3 days later which was my road trip to a wedding in NY. So they squeezed me in the next day by opening up earlier than usual. So 10/10 for that too.

My wife and I have been going here for several years now for oil changes, general maintenance as well as repair and body work after an accident. Dan and his crew are honest, reliable and do quality work at a price that usually beats the competition.

First of all Dan is a wonderful human being and I think that is why he is very professional and honest. I have visited him 5-6 times in last one year for various jobs and I found him very reasonable and accommodating. I would highly recommend him for any job. Usually you do not find many people like him in this profession. Mechanics usually do a good job first or second time and then they show their true colors afterwards. I am a technical person myself and usually research before I take an estimate and I find Dan so far on the mark. If something is missed, he does not try to blame the customer and takes responsibility. I wish Dan continues to shows his professional and ethical manners even during difficult times and I wish the very best for him.

I have taken both our cars in for maintenance, and I am very happy with the service. They deliver on time and do very good work. Dan and his staff are very professional. Even though it is a relatively smaller outfit, they provide free Wi-Fi and coffee on site which makes waiting there a lot easier.

Dan is a complete jerk. He lacks professionalism and respect. I assume because he is the owner, it doesnt matter to him. Im really surprised at all the good reviews. They must have been from years ago. I brought in my bmw for an oil change. Granred they charge next to nothing, but I see why. They were done in less than an hour. Dan didnt say a word, other than heres your bill. I gave him my credit card and asked if they had found anything else. He said no, took the payment, gave me a receipt and I left. A couple days later, I decided to check my oil level to have an idea of how much I should have, if ever I wanted to do it myself. I noticed a leak, so I called Dan. I told him what I found and asked if they noticed that. He politely said no. That kind of bothered me bc as a repair shop, I would think youd want more business, so youd tell ppl ALL the things you find. I continued asking him some more questions about it, until he became annoyed and said, well just bring it in then. So then I got annoyed and said, well why didnt you guys tell me you found a leak in the first place? He said theyre busy and all I asked for was an oil change, not a diagnosis.... I guess its true what they say, you get what you pay for. Id rather pay a little extra to take it to a mechanic that will take their time and make notes of things they find.

They changed my tires and in the process scratched my wheels. Denied the whole thing and I was left with having to pay to resurface them. Be careful and take pictures of your wheels before you drop off your car.
