This are probably the best towing company in the world. They tow everything in sight. They brag about it. Theyre very nice if you ASK them to tow a car, because its their favorite thing to do.They also patrol student housing and charge $100 to get the car back. Theyre wolves. They took my car within an hour of a week long guest pass expiring, in the middle of the night, as if they were waiting nearby to ruin my morning.They dont tell you that theyve taken your car obviously, but if you happen to notice your car is gone/cant pick it up within 24 hours after they first towed your car the fees get ridiculous. They are very snarky and unempathetic on the phone and if you catch them hooking a car up, likely because theyre pretty regularly threatened with violence. Probably UFs least favorite people, if you were to take a survey.

This company is HORRIBLE. Lowest of the low. Theres no way what theyre doing can be considered legal.Parked at a friends apartment complex with a valid visitor decal and still got towed. Lady on the phone who picks up when you call is very rude and unprofessional. They cant even do their job right as they dont tow the cars that actually need to be towed and instead tow cars that are validly parked. They just prey on vulnerable college students at random. Anytime you park you just have to hope they arent lurking nearby waiting to tow you.Oh, and it cost $100 to get your car back within first 24hrs. Afterwards they start racking up the fees. Make sure to check your vehicle for any damages before you sign their waiver because they make you sign it so you cant dispute anything after you pick up your car. Sooooo shady.

Im from out of town but I went to help a friend move and I was parked in one of there towing spots (fair enough) and got towed signs are somewhat hidden but probably because of poor landscaping as they were mostly covered by bushes not their fault I guess. But when I got to the place to pay the fee they are by far the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of having to interact with. I was not rude I asked how much it was and where I was parked and she immediately yelled at me about where I was parked and to “just read the sign”. When I couldnt my glasses were in my recently towed car and while I can see decently well my eyes have trouble focusing on small text. I guess having to do the bare minimum of your job while sitting in air conditioning is to much for some people. All in all got my car back steering seemed to be fine but the lady at the front desk needs some basic amount of professionalism.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They contracted with my apartment complex to tow cars without stickers up to date, etc but they towed my boyfriends car with valid temporary registration because they were too lazy to even run the plates and then we had to go argue with them to get the car back.

Both times I have needed a tow Superior was the only company of many around that gave me realistic timeframes and showed up (several just didn’t come out.) They have come to the far east edge of town and south to micanopy, no problem. Their drivers are quick and competent, the price is reasonable and I highly recommend their services.

Let me start by saying I hardly ever give reviews but somethings take the cake... this is the absolute WORST towing company ever. How the things they do arent illegal will forever be a mystery to me. From outrageous fees that they NEVER TELL YOU until you decide to take your car back. EASILY 350 bucks for ONE DAY STAY due to fees... literally a fee for towing, labor, the drive, the storage, literally moving it to the front of the lot, and thats just the tip of the iceberg. All this after being told verbatim by the individual towing the car that dont worry about paying for it, we got it. Which after an accident feels like something heaven sent... far from it. Mind you NONE of this will ever be mentioned to you only until AFTER you decide to remove your car from the lot. This company takes ADVANTAGE of people at their lowest and scalps them for whatever they can get away with. If I could give zero stars Id happily do so.

This company runs a racket. If you dare park in a lot with one of their signs near by, for about 5 minutes. Somehow, someway they will know to come tow your vehicle.

I mean, its a Gainesville towing joint...or is it a high (but low)-security prison?? Hard to tell really. Picked up a towed car and the entire experience was...uh, interesting. Will def avoid visiting this...place...again and would highly recommend everyone else do the same as much as possible.

We had to move an old van that didnt run from our carport to a very narrow strip of yard. The angle was seemingly impossible, and I was worried about destroying valuable plants in the area. The driver was very skilled and moved the van carefully and precisely. The plants were never touched. I still dont know how he did it! Very impressed with the professionalism!

I parked in a lot with the sign of a different towing company during after hours when guest parking was permitted. I was also only out of my car for a second to help my friend carry out her belongings so we could travel home, but my car was gone. I saw the tow truck sitting in the lot but he had no reason to tow me during free parking hours. The sign also didnt tell which company towed me, it was the wrong companys sign. I had to go on a wild goose chase around gainesville to find my car. I would rate two stars because once I finally found it they were nice enough to give my car back, but they overcharged me $25 and the whole ordeal shouldnt have happened in the first place.

This place is a joke. We pick up hundreds of damaged vehicles every year at various tow yards and have never been through something as crazy as this. We called and verified all we needed to pick up this vehicle for our customer and when we got there they wanted all kinds of Insurance Info that they never had mentioned. When asking the GM of why this was not mentioned before we drove 3 hrs to pick the vehicle up we were told we are not allowed on the property and were cursed at. Obviously that is why there are several 1 star reviews

The guy that came out and helped me was fast friendly and helpful. If all of their drivers were like him Id be happy to use them again. Even with Corona he let me ride in his truck to get home so I wouldnt have to walk the 15 mi I would have had to walk to get home.

I ended up getting towed after I called them myself to tow someone from my $200 a month parking spot. I parked somewhere for 15 minutes because they said it would take 20-30 for them to get the car in my spot and I need to run in my apartment. I come back down and they towed my car and not the car I asked them to help me about. This business is a scam that takes advantage of UF kids.

They towed me for parking in a spot that i HAD A DECAL FOR and because i did not realize my car was towed i was charged extra holding fees for having it there more than 24 hours. I had to pay 340 dollars to get my car back as a broke college student. I think this company is super sneaky and unethical. The lady at the front desk also yelled at me over the phone instead of being calm and nice when i was obviously distraught. If I could give -100 stars i would these people suck.

I have been towed by this company twice. The first time, I was rightfully towed. The second time, I was rightfully parked and it was not within their jurisdiction to tow my vehicle. Regardless, in both interactions the receptionist has been incredibly rude. I understand that you work with frustrated people all day, but I politely called and was met with unprofessional behavior both times. To get my vehicle back, I had to pay them $100 and sign an agreement that if I or anyone else disputed the matter, they could charge an additional $150. Thank you so much for you fast and friendly service! I called superior towing in need a tow. I was on my way from Orlando to visit some family in Georgia and my car broke down on the way up. I called the around to a few local towing companies in the area and Superior towing was the one I choose. They were fast and friendly. Gary from Superior loaded my car safely as I was so worried about it due to how low my car is and how they (Wrx STI) are almost near impossible it was to tow....he did it! Clean no issues. I highly recommend them!

My vehicle got towed straight from my apartment. My parking pass was clearly visible in the back window with NO TINT on the vehicle but the guy was to lazy to do a full 360 around the vehicle. And the stupid girl with pink hair decided to throw an attitude at me on the phone when i said there needed to be a full 360 done on vehicles before towing.

I can’t speak on the towing/pickup portion of their business, but Sean represented them very well when he saw a car in need of help. He immediately pulled up and provided protection on a busy roadway for a car that didn’t even need towing. Very nice guy and thankful he was there to divert oncoming traffic

I’m disgusted by Superior Towing and their customer service. I recently had my car booted because I parked in a tow away zone where the signs were covered by bushes, making them difficult to spot. Sean was present as a representative of Superior Towing to remove the boot. When I asked him kindly if he could put a mask on, he responded rudely by saying “you can take a step back then.” Upon reiterating my concerns, he continued to say “this is America.” My friends and I warned others who were attempting to park in this area about the consequences and were met with increasing hostility from Sean. I’m appalled by Sean’s behavior and remarks and will be taking further action.

Im going to be honest, I had no problems with Superior Towing. Im aware of their reputation, however in my experience I got towed for parking somewhere I wasnt supposed to (which is fair) and went to their facility to retrieve my car.They were quick, professional, and great at communicating. I was in and out in five minutes with my car and no issues whatsoever.I feel like people get blinded by rage by the injustice of getting towed, but lets be real: we illegally parked and signed up for the consequences for doing so. Tearing into the workers trying to do their job helps nobody.

I parked in a parking lot to grab food from Tijana Flats and was gone for literally five minutes. I come out to find my car has a boot on it - thats fine, I took the risk and now I have to pay. I called the office, the receptionist (very unprofessional) just told me he knows where you are, just wait and hung up on me. The man who booted my car was still in the parking lot booting other cars so he came over shortly thereafter and said having a good day?!. I gave him my CC to pay for the fine, he undid the boot, and I drove off thinking I was done with that. Come to find out they charged me twice that day. I tried to call the office and nobody picked up so I disputed the second charge. Few weeks later, they charged me a third time, so I called and was told they would look into it and get back to me. Nobody got back to me but a few days later I see that they refunded the second charge and then charged me $150 (because I disputed their mistake and they didnt pick up...). Im currently on the phone with my CC company now and it turns out the reason that they charged me twice the first day was because the man working decided to charge not only me but falsify his report and say that I agreed to pay for some person named Alexander or something... This company literally is just trying to scam every dollar out of you that they can. Im a full time student (Im not even rich) and had to use the time I couldve been studying for finals trying to get my money back from this shoddy company. They should be put out of business for their lack of moral practices. Like I said, I dont mind paying for my mistake but you shouldnt be taking advantage of people.

I was blessed enough to deal with a kind gentlemen name Sean near the Chik fil a one university a very busy plaza. He was quick, kind, empathetic, and efficient. Having car troubles can easily ruin your day but I left the situation with a smile. If you ever need road side assistance I would Highly recommend calling them If you’re in the Gainesville area. Has a doordasher on a ride he truly helped me out. Sean I hope god blesses you and thank you for all the help you provided me. Told you I keep my word and since you did the same I wanted to leave 5 stars but perfection is attainable but you guys came darn close.

When my car was about to be towed the person did not let me pay the $50 fee that he was supposed to accept by law and he just took the car to the lot so I will have to pay the $100 fee, i was making a door dashing and he just pick up my car while i was drooping food to a person. i had to paid for the toad and also to get to the towing place. they where not professional at all. they where dishonest. all the time and did not want to accept debit card.

My rental car got towed because I didn’t have the proper decal because the office was closed. I had proof that I lived at the apartment complex and that the rental was mine, my car with the decal is in the shop because I got hit by a semi and yet even after explaining this they said only the manager could do something and he was gone for another 2 days and I’d have to pay more to have my car sit there while I tried to have it waived. Person I talked to was nice, but not very understanding. I was in tears after the encounter, especially with having to deal with the trauma of being hit by a semi recently.

POSITIVE REVIEW!We had a car that had broken down for over a year, no time to get it fixed. Ernie from Superior Towing came to tow it from the apartment and I caught him just in time to ask if I can move my items from the vehicle. Its junk, and we wanted get rid of it anyway, so I let him know the details and he gracefully gave me an extra day to get my things. How nice!I received a call from Ernie the day of the pickup, asked if I could meet him at the apartment to collect my tag. I had completely forgotten! He waited about 10 minutes for me to get home and had already removed the tag for me.This saved me time, frustration, and money. Theres no other way to put it, Superior Towing rocks. Fast response, very professional

It pains me that companies like this one exist. They towed my car with a proper decal and charged me $500 to get it back. It is deeply frustrating that residential apartments and office buildings give this company free reign to tow whatever car they see fit. It is even more frustrating that the staff is rude, incompassionate and honestly disrespectful. I wouldn’t even wish for my mortal enemy to have to deal with the people in this office. Really wish I could give it zero stars. And wish even more that I didn’t have to spend the two minutes that I did writing this review because they don’t deserve even that.

I was parked at the very end of a freight loading lane (so a small part of my car was in thatlane) and they towed me but didn’t tow the 3 cars that were in the FIRE lane. Also, the lady on the phone was extremely rude. I told her the apartment complex and then began to say that I was parked at the visitor roundabout and before I could even finish my sentence she YELLED “what apartment complex?!?!” First of all, I already said it. Second of all, she had no reason to yell at someone like that. I have never spoken to a worker so unprofessional.

My daughter and I were in a bit of a bind and along came Gary from Superior Towing and pulled us right on out of it, lol! He is a super friendly and helpful guy and I would recommend Gary and Superior Towing if you ever get stuck in a sticky situation too!

My mother parked in my neighborhood for one hour and her car was towed before I could give her the decal. She is 70 years old and was helping me move. I pleaded to the workers of this company to be disregarded and disrespected. When we went to get her vehicle the man at the front said “your son obviously cannot listen to directions” as we both showed up to the yellow line to get her car? I left this place feeling horrible and that these may be the worst people in the city of Gainesville. Not sure how they sleep at night? Don’t ask for management as it’s not a thing...

I live 3 hours away and they wouldnt let me pay online or over the phone. I had to drive all the way to pay in person just so they could charge more for the extra time my car was sitting in the lot.

I called them to remove a vehicle that didnt have a parking sticker AND was blocking a wLking entrance and they didnt tow the vehicle. There continues to be a lot of cars without the parking sticker on it in our complex and they dont come and tow them. Not to happy with this company

I literally just seen them break in some ones car in oder to tow them with is illegal here is why. Tow operators are not authorized to make entry into a motor vehicle for purposes of towing the vehicle under the non-consent tow provisions of Occupations Code 2308. Use of a slim jim or other device is not authorized under the towing statute or rules. But people keep paying rent at the apartments that contract with them instead of Demanding change so in some ways they are allowing this behavior.

If there were a negative star, that is what I would give. College student on a holiday parked in a spot labeled “visitor” .. We were told by them the car was towed because we didn’t have a visitor paper in car... over $400 to get the car out... so terrible!! 😡😡

Awful company and very unprofessional. Weve incurred mechanical issues due to their careless service and they refused to provide their insurance information upon request. They (as in the GM Kevin) even hung up the phone because they got called out. I cannot believe how rude these people are. They are unable to conduct their business in a professional manner and lack a moral compass. It is unsurprising to see how many bad reviews they have, after having experienced it myself. They definitely are uneducated and their customer service, or lack thereof, is beyond me. They do not have the skills to deal with conflict. I felt as if I were speaking with a couple of teenagers who were being berated for wrongdoing...the defensiveness made it apparent that this is an ongoing issue with them. Fortunately, my lawyer will be contacting them and will be seeking damages since they refuse to provide their insurance information. Perhaps they have none?

This company decided to tow my wifes truck. they did not verify who the owner was. if you need a new vehicle go get one just pick one out and say it is yours. also check your vehicle because they decided to damage my bumper and when i went to go get the truck the parking pass was sitting on the drivers seat which is kind of curious seeing how it hes no marks on the pass where it was being at on while driving so either someone removed it and placed it on my drivers seat or it fell off after i got out of the truck and locked the doors because when i left the truck i even verified the pass was there.

One of my fleet vehicles was stolen from its authorized location by the owners Mike Weber and Rennie Thomas at 1059 on 31 August 2020. A company employee was forced to pay $100 for their mistake.

Got home from.work and there was no parking in my complex so I called to get a car towed that didnt have a decal. I called at 12:38 am, waited 40 minutes and got nothing, called again at 1:14 and apparently they got distracted, so they day theyll send it out in 10-15 minutes. Right now it is 1:47 and still nobody is here, I dont have a parking spot for my car, and I just want to go to bed. This is not to mention how several months ago they wrongfully towed my vehicle (I was reimbursed, but still really annoying).

Witnessed one of their drivers tow a car and pull out in front of traffic recklessly. This caused the car behind them in the lane he pulled out into lightly hit the car being towed. It was probably just a like scratch but the driver did not stop and just kept driving with the towed car.

My car was towed between 7/9/19 after 9:30pm and 7/10/19 5:20am, I had the appropriate decal and have been living/parking there since August 2018. I called superior towing to hear them say:“We just realized a few moments ago that it was a mistake, and we made sure to let a manager know.”Okay? So I asked “Well can you bring it back? I need to be somewhere (it’s 5:20am) and I don’t understand how this mistake could be made.”“We can’t do that unfortunately, but if you come here to pick it up; we won’t charge you.”I don’t understand how “superior” towing could make a careless mistake; new driver? well train them accordingly to look through the whole windshield... seasoned driver? maybe re-evaluate their competency.

He was parked next to our service vehicle and when we called to tell them what has happened they said it would be $100. Their GM is a total sleeze bag. If you actually need towing service use another company!

This is happened a long time ago and just came up in conversation. Which pissed me off again.Went to pick my friend up at his apartment. I sat inside for about 15 minutes then went to smoke. Saw someone taking photos of the car and was like “what are you doing?”. He said “I’m about to two this car”. It was mine and asked him to wait I’ll get my keys and move it my friend lives here. I literally ran back to get my keys and looked over to see the tow truck driver back up as fast as he could and take off with my car. My friends apartment and car were about about 30 feet away from each other.I know the owners or past owners and they didn’t condemn the tow driver at all. Shows a lot about this business

Great company and they do a awesome job of keeping the parking lots of our properties clear of people walking to campus that dont live there so our residents have plenty of parking.

Seems to me like the owner has no heart what so ever. I had permission from someone that was paying for parking spots to park overflow parking. Superior towing was the Roam towing company. I guess since they werent notified to NOT tow from these spots..they towed them. Well after the property manager told them we had bbn permission they still wouldnt lower the price 1 dollar. 1340 it cost for 2 cars in 5 days. Thats just unfair. No wonder people go over the deep end... times are stressfull enough.

One star is too many. Very unprofessional. Towed my husbands vehicle from right in front of our home and claimed it was abandoned. When I called to see if they had his car, I was told $100 to get it out of their yard, got there and it was $150. They stalked my husband, waited for him to go inside for the night to steal his vehicle because it didnt have a tag, which was all of 24 hrs that the vehicle didnt have one. Waited till 2:45am to come up in our yard to see there was no tag. Didnt leave any ticket or notice before towing it. I dont see how what they do is legal. Or how they sleep at night taking peoples hard earned money that they use to feed their child(ren). Its absolutely disgusting how this place of business makes their money.

Shame I have to give 1 star. Predatory towing should be illegal. The proprietors of this company feed on the uninformed and unaware. The margins they charge are criminal. My daughters scooter (worth at most $500) was towed by this company. They want to charge her $576 - more than the scooter was worth.My daughter is working her way through college. She worked all summer to raise the money to acquire the scooter. These are the people Superior towing takes advantage of. This scooter is necessary for her to get to class and work. As a family we will figure something out but we will not give any of our hard earned money to support the Superior Towings ruthless business practices.Given the amount of negative reviews this company has received it is highly unlikely they have any legitimate customers. However if you are an individual in need of their type of services do yourself and everyone else they have ripped off a favor and do not engage them.

I WILL NEVER GO TO SUBWAY AGAIN I just took my family, 3 children two of them 5 and 6 to Subway on University. I spent over $30 on dinner. As we were finishing up I walked to get a ice cream from Mr.Cool, 4 store fronts down. When my family finished up they came to join me, and when they finished my order at Mr. Cool we walked right back to Subway. We did not eat a Mr. Cool Surprise my truck is gone. This is criminal, it was 47° my kids had to walk over two miles to get home. Subway employees were completely rude about it when I asked why they would allow that. Karma will be coming for the people who run this towing company, believe that. Evil people

Towing companies get a bad rep for obvious reason. But superior actually made my life a little better today. In an unfortunate serious of events, my car died and I locked myself out simultaneously. Rather than charge me for both services, the service man unlocked my car and jumped it for free. His job probably gets him a lot of crap but he was super pleasant and personable and I really appreciated his help.

They will open up your car change gears and take any cash they see in your car. Also charge you $100 bucks after they steal your car. Theyre skilled in robbing hard working people. Dont park anywhere you see their sign.

They should change their name to Inferior Towing. My car broke down on the way to work so I called my insurance company who called this company to come get me. I was told 45 minutes, 3 hours later I was still waiting and had been told 5 different times that the driver was 10 minutes away and was “stuck in traffic”. This left me forced to call another tow company who arrived in 20 minutes. The driver from this company never called to say that he arrived or couldn’t find me so I’m assuming he never showed up. Because of this I missed work and lost money. After all the bad reviews I’m not sure how they are still in business.

Another negative review for these guys.I parked in a lot right across from the Swamp restaurant, yes I probably should have parked in the garage down the street, but I recently had knee surgery and since the lot was much closer and had many open spots I did not think it would hurt the stores in the plaza if I parked there.I was having lunch on the patio across the street when I saw the driver break into my car (I wonder how legal it is) and was about to tow it. I was able to get to my car and jump in it so the driver took off and drove around the block. He came back around 2 minutes later to the same lot and towed another car. The sad thing is the car he towed was for a young lady who was getting lunch from the pita shop in the plaza where she was parked.I think these guys just incrementally tow cars without justification to pump up their profits.

Got paint all over my car and won’t cover it

One star is to much! They troll parking lots at night looking for cars without permits. FYI the parking lot I was in was only marked by one sign right off the main road that it was a permit area. Once I finally found a car in the lot with a permit it is actually from Superior towing so tell me they aren’t in it with the apartment to make money off tows. The lot was not marked with signs besides the one right by the road and if you blink you miss it. The lot I parked in the majority of the cars had no permit so go figure they pick a car a night, it’s like guaranteed cash flow. The help on the phone and at the pickup lot could care less that they are about as unethical as can be. A good tow service would be in it to help people and respond to calls to have cars towed not do what these people do. Any lot marked with superior towing be aware and park somewhere else. And yes they admitted they were trolling and no one called to have it towed.

Everyone be careful if you park in SW gville. This company practice predatory towing, and their drivers have it down to a science. Especially now since its summer and they dont have as many cars available to tow, they will go to great lengths to make a quick buck (At the expense of your time & money) You all are grimy lowlifes at Superior (except for the sweet, older lady that works in the office) Get a real job that doesnt cause inconvenience to hard-working, college kids and unlucky patrons.

Beware !!! This place is on the hunt for anyone they can tow. My car was towed while I was in relish, the parking lot I was SUPPOSED to be in. When I called, the lady claimed I was in clothing that I’m not even wearing & then admitted that she was looking at the wrong picture and still made me pay. This has to be illegal.

Superior Towing taking advantage of students.My son had his scooter towed (not arguing whether or not it should have been towed). The scooter was apparently towed on a Wednesday and he found out it was at Superior Towing of Friday. He arrived and was told it would be $100.00 towing charge, $50.00 per day storage, $80.00 admin charge, $80.00 lein charge, $60.00 gate charge for a total of $420.00. The scooter was towed about a half a mile.He was given the option to pay $200.00 (and was told that the manager would accept $100.00) and sign over the title to Superior if he couldnt afford the $420.How is this legal?
