Fixed my screen at a much lower price than other shops quoted. Super transparent - kept open communication with me the whole time and answered any questions I had. Very pleased with my service!

I dont really write reviews, but I just had to for this shop! I took my laptop in for a smashed keyboard and got back a beautiful new, well functioning keyboard (as if nothing ever happened). The owner is very responsive, and attentive to his customers concerns. He went through great lengths to fix my laptop, and a fair price. The repair did not take long and was beyond my expectations. Great repair shop!!

(Pictures are before repair and are there to show how small the points were that were soldered back together. Cant get a picture after it was repaired because it was put back together)I had a HDMI port that was soldered directly to a board and it got whacked and broke all the solder joints. Ive never seen such small solders in my life. I took it everywhere and everyone said throw it away its too small to fix and cant be done, until i brought it here. These guys soldered each little joint back and did it perfectly. I was blown away. I would HIGHLY recomend this place. Couldnt be happier!

Honestly the place looks super sketchy when you walk in. You have to take an old elevator upstairs and the front office is kinda bland. BUT the service was great. I had a problem with installing a new SSD in my laptop. The guy fixed it in 2 hours. I didnt even have to wait a full day.Dont judge the place on its looks. They do a great job

I found Jonathan to be knowledgeable and interested in saving me money. He replaced parts rather than tossing out the whole logic board - better for the environment and for my pocketbook. I highly recommend him for Apple repairs. Because he has electrical engineering background he can replace components whereas other shops just swap out the whole board ($900).I also needed a battery replaced and other Apple authorized shops here quoted me at $600 and he did it for $249 (the battery is glued in).

Was skeptical of this place at first. Had taken my HP Spectre 360 to another place in town, where they could not figure out what exactly was wrong with it after 2 weeks. Being told they could fix it within a day at this place seemed too good to be true. I must admit, the bare hallway and old elevator to get into the shop is a little sketchy, but they fixed my computer in a day for a fair price and so far its working just like new.

My computer wouldnt turn on & I never had the chance to back it up. I took it to Laptop Repair AFTER stopping by Best Buy & was told by Geek Squad that I just needed to get a new laptop. Laptop Repair discovered my motherboard had crashed - replaced it - fixed it!- & it was under $200!! Speedy service too. Took less than a day to get my laptop back! I highly recommend him!

I brought my laptop in and let the guy at the front know that I was in desperate need for it to be diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible. I had it back in less then 24 hours! These guys are GREAT! Quick and reliable. Definitely recommend them.

Terrible experience, my laptop was returned in a worse-off state than when I brought it in! The owner did damage to my MacBook Pro and said that he didnt even notice it. Took my laptop in and it would boot up, however upon receiving my laptop back, it wouldnt even turn on. Initially the owner said he could fix it by the next day, but ended up keeping it an extra day. He stated that he wouldnt be able to fix the machine, and returned it to me with a broken piece (pictured) and it not being able to even function. If you are thinking about going to this laptop repair shop to fix yours, I would recommend you look elsewhere. Owner was rude and lied to me to my face. The photo shows the damage that was done to my computer while it was in the hands of this shop. It appears as if something underneath overheated and caused the plastic to melt. Owner did replace the plastic piece, but clearly there was more damage since the screen would not turn on. What a joke of a place! Do not take your laptop here and spend a little more to take it to a more reputable shop.

I dont know what happened but my kids were messing with my laptop one day and suddenly the password was changed and I couldnt get into Windows. I took my laptop to the laptop repair store and talked a guy named Patrick, he assured me that he could unlock my computer with no problems. 15 minutes later, he did it. I was able to get into my laptop like before. He gave me a good deal for the unlock and couldnt argue with the price, especially in the time he got it done. I didnt even have to leave the store. Awesome job. Keep up the good work guys! =D

I love this place. I sent my old power book there to install Air Port that Apple Store had refused to do. They had more parts than Apple Store, and did a great job on my power book. My 10-year-old power book B4 is still working very well now.

I showed up basically at closing (I was watching a Lets Play of Five Nights at Freddys and I got scared and dropped my laptop) with a screen showing completely white, I handed it over to Jonathan, who is really cute but that might be because I love the quiet ones, and less than 24 hours later, I have it back wonderfully fixed! The price he quoted me was the price I paid and the absolutely lovely beautiful boy that he is even cleaned the laptop surfaces. Good thing too, cause I surely wasnt going to get around to that. I might have ended up somewhere else if I hadnt been living on campus, but Im glad I ended up here!

Laptop wouldnt charge because of a broken port (or whatever the place you plug the cord into the computer is called). The guy rebuilt the port in about 24 hours, and it seems to be working great! It was $150, not sure how that price compares to others.

Ive brought my MacBook Pro here multiple times for multiple different reasons (old hardware fails eventually, unfortunately) and have had nothing short of a great experience on every occasion. They are always quick and concise with giving out information and updates, and all of their work has held well months after repair. Will continue to return!

Awesome experience! Chosing Laptop Repair instead of Greek Squad saved me at the least $100 & time waiting! I had a messed up hard drive that needed to be replaced. GS quoted me at least twice as much just to begin the process & back-up data (this doesnt include the price of buying a new hd or other fixings). By choosing LR, they backed-up my old hd, purchased/installed a new hd (which was upgraded free of charge), and fixed the broken hinge on the laptop...all for half of GS quoted price. After it was all said & done, after the one day diagnostic, it was available in 2 days! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for fast, efficient, and affordable laptop repair.

I have used Laptop Repair Gainesville several times. Previously, they helped me recover data from a failing hard drive. Today, they helped me with my computer that had a dead battery/burned charging chips. They explained the problem with my laptop to me very well and gave a reasonable price. I will continue to use them in the future.

Havent been to the place but the customer service rep hung up on me when I was asking how much it costs to replace a keyboard and I was about to give him my model number. I called a second time and he told me he couldnt stay and he hung up. A customer service rep hanging up to a customers face should simply not be working at the said company. Funny thing is, I called back to ask about how long they guarantee their labor, now they wont ever see me again and Ill tell anyone i know to go elsewhere.

Ive brought my laptop in at 5 P.M. it was repaired and ready to pick up before 7P.M. that very evening! it was relatively simple repair (broken power jack) but I know how hard it is just to get to it. you have to basically disassemble the whole thing.$180 was quite acceptable. No complaints about the service.A little legal note on the receipt stating that they are not responsible if anything in your computer gets lost, broken or stolen during repairs si quite alarming however.

Brought in my ThinkPad laptop which died suddenly for a free diagnostic. I was told that the motherboard needs to be replaced and that a new one would cost 350. However, what they really did was purchase a used laptop and slap in my hard-drive into it. My original ThinkPad had a higher resolution screen and nvidia graphics as well. I wish they would have been straightforward in telling me how they planned on fixing my laptop. They did give me an extra battery (the battery that came with the used laptop they bought) as compensation. However, that doesnt excuse them lying to me when I told them that this wasnt my original laptop. Will not return.

Laptop : Thinkpad yoga 14Problem : Suddenly stopped working and wasnt detecting the charging adapterWhat I did:I panicked and went straight to Laptop repair of Gainesville guys. I was told to leave the laptop for the free diagnostic service. I left the laptop there.I got a text on monday that my main board in not working and will be charged 290 dollars for repair. I decided not to pay this amount and get my laptop back. I went to the shop on monday evening and got the laptop back. Then I went to another shop called Dog bytes. These guys plugged in the charger and whoops the things started to work. The thing that hurted: After a free diagnostic checkup I was told a that a fee of 290 USD would be charged to replace the main board. The repackaged laptop was also not screwed properly(loose screws). I would should mention that screws were already missing but I had to ask the reception to screw in 2 more screws because at the time I accepted the laptop back 4 screws were missing. Also, I was told that my keyboard will be properly fitted if I come back the other day which I didnt go.I had a nightmarish experience. I could have lost 290 USDs for a new board that wasnt even needed but I got saved as I decided not to go ahead with the repair work. This was the only issue I would like people to know. The information about board not working was not accurate as its working fine. Infact I am using the same laptop to write this review. No offense otherwise.Alternative I chose: Dog Bytes computer services inc. They have open desk. Not free diagnostic; I guess its 45 but worth it. P.S they charged me nothing cuz all the did was push the power button!!

I sent my laptop to laptop repair they called me when they got it, called with the price called when it was done (next day) and called to say it was shipped. the price 1/10th of a new laptop. I deal with business`s every day and I do know that the NEW way is to promise everything, charge them double, and give them half. This is not the case with LTR. Ive read the reviews how some people are crying about price but think about this you go to get a root canal it cost 900.00 the Dr. spent 45min. on you and then what you get up and tell him that the drill bit only cost 7 bucks why your a ripoff lol NO you pay him for his talent for his speed and most of all because your to damm dumb to do it yourself give this guy a break hes the first computer repair co. Ive ever used that does what he said he would do.Keep up the good work J. and remember the world needs crybabies to.greg thalis

My laptop screen went blank from dropping. They opened it and asked 250$ claiming some chip burned. Next I took it to Dog byte and they said the connector was dislocated from the drop and repaired it for only 65$. Not sure why they were demanding 250$ for a simple connection.
