I got my MacBook repaired here and I have absolutely 0 complaints. I was promised a 4-7 day turnaround for the service and my laptop was ready for pickup within 3 days.Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. They also spray your hands with sanitizer when you leave :)10/5 Stars

In addition, their prices are very fair, and they are located in a NW area of Gainesville that is easy to find--right off 18th St and 1st AV, across from the University. I cant say enough about the service and competence of the folks at Everything Mac!

I want to commend the EverythingMac in Gainesville team and especially commend Alex, who helped me and my husband personally. My 2012 MacBook Pro was not working properly and my husband had problems with an App. We are older and do not know a lot about computers. Alex listened to our problems with full attention, took notes, asked questions and explained everything clearly and in language we could understand. He was completely professional, knowledgeable, and also kind and friendly. He made us feel welcome and like he was happy to assist us. The problems were diagnosed correctly and quickly and totally corrected.Our entire experience with EverythingMac was positive. We will certainly take any future problems to EverythingMac and Alex.

I take special care of my Vintage MacBook Pro and appreciate people who have the knowledge and ability to service it. I am just not ready to move on to a new model. Luckily, Apple has great, long lasting products. I am amazed that my laptop continues to function within exceptional parameters after a decade of daily use.A great product can only be as good as the people who stand behind it. Everything Mac is an exemplary Apple Service Provider and I’m so grateful that they were able to repair my Mac! The fact that they did it with such a degree of expertise and professionalism assures that I will be a return customer, if needed. I certainly hope to never spill coffee on it again!I’d like to remark upon their Covid protocol, ala Alex. Thank you. The only way we will get this pandemic under control is by recognizing that it is severely contagious and act accordingly. I felt safe in the office. Update: A Culture of ImprovementI have used Everything Mac four times. This last time, they were able to make a board-level repair on the chip that regulates power, which is technically challenging, and I believe they did it in house. They also cleaned out my butterfly keyboard. The entire service was performed in less time than I expected. The whole service has a 15-day warranty. I did not have these before, and they support my hypothesis that Everything Mac is learning new techniques to manage an increasing variety.***These guys are incredibly professional. I have come to them twice, once for a battery replacement for my iPhone 7 and once for a keyboard replacement on my 2016 MBP. Their services are reasonably priced, they appear very knowledgeable, they treated my courteously, and solved my problems rapidly. I strongly recommend Everything Mac.I have used their service again, and not only did they do an amazing repair by reflowing the motherboard to re-flash the power controller, but they returned my laptop to me completely cleaned up. I have the butterfly keyboard, and they did an amazing job cleaning it out. I would pay them just for that service.

The staff was friendly and compliant with COVID-19 precautions. I had an appointment for my iPhone and they ran tests on it while I waited. There are several places to eat right there so this was no problem as it was lunchtime. They came and got me when the tests were complete and the problem was resolved. So happy not to be missing calls anymore!

I went here because my iPhone’s screen was green and black. After they charged me for a diagnostics I was told my iPhone’s motherboard had an issue and I had to change the device for the price of a new iPhone. I went to another place to make sure that was the issue and it turned out it just needed a screen replacement.Wrong diagnosis and wasted 25$.

I sought to diagnose my Macbook Air which wouldnt power on and was quoted a turnaround time of 2-3 business days. I had to wait nearly a week to learn that there was a delay and I was only informed of a delay when I enquired about an update. Finally, I was quoted an exorbitant price to replace the logic board as the only solution to the issue, based on which I decided to purchase a new laptop instead. I only learned later that there was no issue with the logic board as such and it was an issue related to the power supply that could be fixed.Not only did I face inordinate delays, my issue was misdiagnosed and I was quoted an exorbitant price to unnecessarily replace the logic board. To top it off, I had to spend a large amount on buying a new laptop while having to pay them a diagnostic fee for a misdiagnosis. They have since ghosted me when I try to contact them. Avoid this place if you dont want to be charged for unnecessary replacement parts. Better to go with GatorTec or worse stick with UFs Apple Service center.

The service and knowledge of the representative that fixed my iPhone was beyond my expectations. I thought I would have to purchase a new phone. The cost of repair was also better than expected. A few years ago I had to take my Mac in for clean up and repair. The service was very good then too. I would recommend this company to anyone who owns an I phone or Mac.

Did a great job helping my wife with her phone when it suddenly died after being left on the charger overnight.They ran several diagnostics to determine the problem and even helped us to replace the screen! You may have to be patient to find out what exactly the problem is with your device, but they delivered tremendous results to us and my wife’s iphone X works again!

Alex was incredibly helpful and very competent. I liken it to going to the doctor, and the doctor listens to your symptoms. Alex listened, asked good diagnostic questions, took copious notes, and explained the issues in clear and non-technical English. I brought my laptop in because its keyboard was recalled. It was so easy to make an appointment online through Apple, and they were very fast and direct with me! They got the parts sent overnight and were able to fix my laptop within an hour and a half! The location is great, I honestly had no idea it was there though, and Ive lived in Gainesville for over 4 years. But its nice to know that an authorized retailer is a 5 minute drive from me, I will definitely be going there again if I need anything for my Apple products! Kelsey was the employee who helped me and she was great!

My iPhone screen went black and was unable to charge it. Then it kept going to an unending reboot loop. They fixed the problem and was only charge the 25$ diagnostic fee. Great service. Highly recommend

If you have any repair needs, this is the best place in town by far. I had a problem with my display on the 13 inch MacBook Pro and originally took it to the other certified Apple repair store in town. They quoted me $649 and a 5-6 day turnaround. I picked my computer up after such a high price and rude customer service and took it in to Everything Mac. The employees talked to me, explained the problem, and told me that if I talked to an Apple senior advisor, I had the possibility of getting the full cost of my repair covered by Apple under a program my computer qualified for. Apple ended up covering the cost and my computer was ready in 24 hours. Amazing customer service, helpful, and they made sure I had a full understanding of my computers problems.

I had my 2017 MacBooks topcase and SSD replaced through the Apple Quality program and am very satisfied with the results. What a great find! Apple corporate directed me to this service center and I couldnt be happier! The customer service is first rate and the tech service and support is amazing. Everything Mac completely refurbished my 2009 17 MacBook Pro for a very reasonable price and now I can continue to use the computer of my dreams which is no longer in production (sadly). You can also rent a loaner computer which was icing on the cake! Thank you, Everything Mac; Im now a customer for life since I refuse to own anything but Apple!!!!

They replaced my iPhone 6s battery for the Apple price of $29, and it took 20 minutes. This place is great! The person at the front desk was quick and explained answers to my questions. My new battery works well—no longer have to charge my phone multiple times per day. I had no idea that there was a place in town to get the battery replacement done on the same day—I had been calling some bigger stores and they kept telling me I would have to send my phone away for a week. Highly recommend EverythingMac!

I have to say, this is one of the best group of people I have ever felt with. Alex listened to my issues and understood I could not continue my work without my computer. I had a problem that my Mac would not power up. They were very fair with the diagnosis and said they temporarily fixed it.It has been 5 days and still works perfectly. I got my computer serviced here and I would highly recommend them for anyone needing computer assistance! The employees were all helpful, accommodating and very friendly. They were able to completely fix my issue in less than a day and even lowered the cost of service. Seriously dont go to Gator Tech or any other computer repair company, they wont help you out like Everything Mac will!

Brad & his assistant (forgot the name) were extremely helpful and friendly when I brought my Mac in for repairs.They quickly diagnosed the issue into a general category (graphics card) and told me they could fix it for X amount in 24 hours. I didnt end up using them for the repair, but they didnt charge me anything for the consultation.Theyre great. Highly recommend.

Brought in my Macbook laptop for some warranty work at about 4pm the day before the warranty expired. They were able to get it on the bench, diagnosed and the warranty work authorized all before it expired. The parts arrived a day or two later and they completed the repair. All along I was kept informed on the repair. This was the second time I have used them for warranty work on my laptop and both times has been an excellent experience. Thanks Everything Mac.

I picked this place through apple support. the lady that called me said my computer repairs wasnt covered through my warranty and they wanted to charge me 600 dollars. I picked up my computer and sent it to apple, who fixed it and sent it back to me. I paid nothing. I believe they were trying to scam me and I wonder how many people have fallen for that. will never go back and I dont recommend this place at all.

They are getting two stars for the fast service but only two because of outrageous pricing. My Mac hard drive cable needed to be replaced. 30 minutes labor and a $10 cable for a whopping $200 bill. Should have been under $100. This is my business computer and I couldn’t wait for the part from amazon so I paid the rediculous fee.

Everything Mac has exceeded my expectations. My mac book pro screen was pretty much beat up with scratches and dirt everywhere. Basically, Apple has a warranty protection on their screens for a period of time where I took full advantage of. Everything Mac replaced my screen for free and furthermore cleaned and air dusted my mac. Completely satisfied and would recommend their services to anyone! Waited until I visited their place twice (to make sure they are reliable). And, yes, they are very consistent with the quality, accuracy, and pricing of their work. First time I went there to get my iphone6 battery replacement, and second time was for battery replacement for macbook pro. In both of my visits, they gave me accurate info about whats wrong, whats to be done, how much its going to cost. They got my iphone fixed in 2 hours, and the macbook was ready to pick in 2 days. Nice people, fair prices, quick fix. I highly recommend.

I’m am extremely disappointed in the service and Customer Service I have received from Everything Mac. Apparently, their operating hours very day to day and depend of the season of the year. I was referred to this location from Apple, Inc., however, I will never return again. It appears to be run by college students which is fine but when the store hours fluctuate, no weekends hours, and poor communication with the owner/operator disaster is bound to happen. When I dropped of my iMac computer I was told they were open until 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. When I called to let them know the date and time II would be driving from Orange Park, Florida, to pay and pickup my computer I was verbally informed they were no longer open until 6:00 p.m. Can you image my surprise? I was shocked and inquired why I wasn’t contacted and provided this vital information. I didn’t get a professional response. I was simply told we just changed our hours. Wow! It must be nice to up and change hours. In addition, all communication is done via text messages which I find unprofessional.I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Apple, Inc.I plan to miss work so I don’t have my computer confiscated which I just found out today was a possibility if I don’t pickup my computer by this Friday. What makes it so bad is I inquired about a deadline date. Nobody from Everything Mac shared this vital information and I didn’t receive any documentation pertaining to this policy (if you can call it a policy). I guess this is how they obtain equipment to sell on their premises.Apple, Inc., needs to do better and select better companies to be their Authorized facility to repair equipment.I bit into my Apple and got Rotten Everything Mac.

On December 20 I brought my brand new Mac Air in for help setting it up with my own hardrive. I came here as it’s only one hour instead of 2-3 for Apple store. At over 70 in age I drive little.They proceeded to call with problems. They broke my hard drive. Had me buy another at Best Buy said it was broken. Sold me back a useless computer and two broken drives for 200$. After 2-3 weeks. Go figure???There are no Apple certified stores. Anyone can be trained by Apple as a tech. They get a certificate. Well the guy with the certificate must’ve been on vacation!Apple has no interest in these techs who open businesses. So don’t think they’ll help.Caveat Emptor.I’m so sad after three Apple store visits over 5 months. All they could do was wipe it clean as new, when nothing else would help. Removal of thousand of malware and whatever didn’t help.I have 15 years of pictures and memories destroyed. Thanks Evrything MAC.I didn’t want to write this. I love small business. But please beware. Maybe just wrong people over holidays. But no refund. And they lie and say they fixed my new in box MAC.

While they replaced my MacBook Pro screen quickly, they didnt put enough adhesive on it, and now my screen keeps falling off. I now have to pay for another store to fix this. I called and explained the problem to them, to see if they could provide me with some form of partial refund. While they were kind enough to offer to do the job themselves, I had unfortunately, moved away from Gainesville when the adhesive began coming undone. They would not provide any form of refund, although I paid $150 to get my screen repaired, and it was not installed correctly. They were nice enough, but based on my experience, I would not recommend getting any work done there.

I took my computer there because it was running slow. They did a diagnostic and gave me 200 plus quote to re-install operating system. I took it back considering I could do it myself. I did it at home and still, reinstallation didnt improve efficiency. Finally, I found that my hard disc was encrypted. I decrypted it with apple customer service help and computers performance increased considerably. I was surprised that they ran the whole diagnostic test and couldnt find such a basic issue. Not impressed at all!

I took my MacBook Pro to GatorTec at first they were awful, took so long to get it back to me then didnt even fix the problem not long after my MacBook crashed again this time I took it too Everything Mac the employees where great they serviced my MacBook replacing everything that needed to be fix including the Keyboard that GatorTec lied and said they fixed. I needed my Macbook Air to be fixed ASAP because I leave for training in two weeks and after getting several other vendors including Geek Squad and the Apple Store in Jacksonville to diagnose my Macbook Air....I wasnt satisfied with the repair services they were offering. Both Geek Squad and the Apple Store also jumped to assuming that my Macbook Airs motherboard was the problem when really it was just the power button. I brought in my late 2014 iMac on a Thursday with what I suspected to be a failed hard drive. Everything Mac diagnosed the iMac the same day and confirmed that it was the hard drive. I did not have apple care or any type of warranty, so price was important to me. They offered an extremely reasonable labor cost, and were a good fit for me in being an apple certified shop that used only genuine apple parts.I approved the repair that day (Thursday), and had my iMac back, fully functional, and with a clean install of OSX on Monday. I did not need any sort of data recovery since I had a backup. I dropped the iMac off with no scratches, dents or damage and picked it up in the same condition.

My Macbook Pros trackpad/keyboard stopped working, but the shady service I received here was an absolute disappointment.1. Around $40 diagnostic fee.2. Clerk told me, after looking at whats wrong with my device, that they had to replace the whole bottom board of the Macbook Pro for around $350-400 which is insane for a struggling college student.3. They did, however, lower the price to accommodate my financial situation. BUT the amount they discounted off was barely noticeable.4. At the end of the day, I was lied to and robbed of $40...WASTE of TIME!Few months after, my roommate had the same problem as I did. He went to iHospital down the road of Everything Mac. They fixed his issue in under 20 minutes and said it was due to dust collecting at the connection point between the keyboard and trackpad that made it lose signal. It costed ONLY $195 roughly!!!I highly recommend iHospital, but discourage going to Everything Mac.

Hey guys friendly advice! I accidentally broke my mac screen so I phoned this shop they told me that accidental breaks in my computer would not be covered by my apple care plan even though it had not expired. That is absolutely ridiculous! I have always had any brakes in apple products covered with apple care so I went to GatorTec instead and they fixed it in 5 days no questions asked. Had I gone here they would have scammed me out of a few hundred bucks. GO GATORTEC!!!!

Cheaters! They ruined my laptop!! I brought my laptop here for a liquid damage, they suggested to clean it with a 70% probability of success. Well, it didnt work but the most annoying thing is that later I brought my laptop to another repair center: it was still full of liquid and all the components were damaged and oxidated. Also, at the second center they said the cleaning was unnecessary so in the end I paid 280$ for a work which shouldnt be done and which was done badly. I lost money and my laptop is trash now. Shame on you

I used this Companys service for the first time this week to replace the HD on my iMac in connection with an Apple Recall. The service provided was very fast (under 30 minutes) and well done. Chad also went out of his way to save me an additional 80-mile round trip drive by handling some details by phone prior to my bringing the iMac in for service. I highly recommend this Company.

It is usually only the negative and bitter people who take time to write reviews. Since I had a very positive experience with you and your shop, I will take the time out of my day to shine some light on Everything Mac.Your years in business and multitude of satisfied customers speaks for itself. Every now and then in business you will get that one customer who is having a really bad day (or year), and nothing you can do will make it better. For some, its years of psychotherapy, or Jesus, or Buhdda, or a healing Ayahuasca trip to Peru, that will have to help them. In this case of review below, you could not restore his soul.Success speaks for itself. Chad and Everything MAc are a successful, longstanding business, and there are concrete and positive reasons for that. Being a crook is an untruthful and crass allegation coming from a very angry little man.

I had a broken screen tilt mechanism on my 2013 27” iMac and took it to the Apple Store Geniuses in the town center in Jacksonville, fl. It was covered by applecare and they wanted to keep it for 7 days for the repair. I decided to check other authorized repair centers and Everything Mac came up…..sure glad it did! I dropped my machine off after speaking with Kelsey and 2 days later I picked it up fixed! I can’t recommend these folks high enough! Well worth the trip from Jacksonville to Gainesville!

This guy is croc. Look at his reviews he has six reviews from exactly 5 months ago, and none are giving specifics. He wrote those reviews himself. The only real reviews he has are negative, and you can tell that they are real because they are very specific and they are not from the same exact day. I have also had a negative experience.Heres mine:My macbook screen died and needed it to be fixed ASAP for work. So I drove 2 hours north to the nearest apple tech for me. I got there an hour late for my appointment. When I got there, I walked into a nasty office building and found his office (which must be a 4X6 hole in the wall). The sign on the door said Office Hours 9-5 Monday-Friday. It was 2 oclock exactly. So I called the number on the door and the guy on the phone said You are late for your appointment and you are out of luck. I went home for the weekend.What The Heck??? I just drove 2 hours to get this repaired, and this Apple Certified Technician didnt even bother to call and ask if I was still coming before he decided to go home for the weekend before 2p.m.! I thought Apple was better than this, they must be letting everybody become technicians these days, even a lazy guy who only has bad reviews of his business. I filed a formal complaint with Apple because this was just awful.

Three stars for competency, but thats about it.Summary of my experience:1) Apple Certification is clearly effective, as he diagnosed my problem in no more than fifteen minutes2) LOTS of unnecessary up-charges to disputeElaboration:1) I was worried my macbook pros logic board was fried because of a black screen on boot-up (on internal and external displays), while the computer ran as normal in the background. I did my research and reset the PRAM, checked inside for water damage, and a few other things to no avail. I got a call shortly after dropping the computer off saying that my cables needed to be receded and they could fix it for $120 - which brings me to the meat of my post -2) I was specifically paying for a diagnosis. So when they offered to fix my computer for $120, I had to press harder than I was comfortable with to find out what the problem was. The receptionist told me that four things would be done for that price: 1) the cables would be receded, 2) they would reset the PRAM, 3) they would install an antivirus program for me, and 4) they would repair my harddrive.Im sorry, but WHAT? Cables being receded means that I had a loose display cable - thank you for that diagnosis. But resetting the PRAM? I watched the receptionist press [option + command + P + R] immediately upon drop off, and you want me to pay $120 for that when it wasnt even the problem? I asked what antivirus program that he was trying to charge for installation on my mac: Soho Antivirus - a FREE program. And to repair my hard drive thats not even broken? Maybe they meant my permissions, but I didnt even ask, because it was just silliness. (They lastly tried to upsell me a battery - which is broken, granted - by increasing the total from $120 to $330. BATTERIES DO NOT COST $210 PLUS SHIPPING.)Thankfully, he didnt push for the $120 when I said I would just take the cables need receding diagnosis for $40, but I was prepared to ask him to put things back to how they were so I could open it up and re-plug the thing in myself.I probably will not be returning, as my experience here was entirely too awkward. That, and I have no idea if theyll be charging me in the future for something legitimate or something ridiculous.All in all, it felt like a bunch of smoke and mirrors - so, reader, do your research before-hand and be very careful about what youre paying for if you decide to come here.
