Took my Lenovo Laptop to him because I needed a battery. This was discussed over the phone, prior to bringing it in. The next day, he calls to tell me it’s ready, and the fee was $195, but when I tested it, it was doing the same thing. Then he tells me, he’s going to order the battery (apparently, the battery was never ordered, they decided to tighten up my charging port, when this was not the service I requested) and it’ll take a week. Yesterday was a week, only to be told that the CHARGER he ordered didn’t work and it’s most definitely the battery, and that would take another week. He is the most unprofessional, uncouth individual!!!! And to top it all off, he misplaced my damn charger!!!!

Do not use this company.I had a problem with my daughters computer on a Saturday when the repair shop I usually use was closed. I called Computer Wiz and told them the situation asking if they had time to work on it that day and that I needed it back right away since my daughter is in virtual school and needed it on Monday. They said they could do that so I brought it in. I should have turned around and left right away when I saw the condition of the shop. A total disorganized mess with electronics stacked up all over in no apparent order, Against my better judgement I left the laptop after again explaining that I needed it back by Monday AM. They said they would call me shortly and let me know what the problem was. 5:00 PM rolled around and still no call so I called them. They obviously had not looked at the computer yet and after listening to the person on the phone talking to someone in the background I was told tht they would call back in an hour. At 7:00 PM after not getting a call I finally called them again and now there was no answer.Really inexcusable. One star is too much.

The owner seems nice and friendly when you first meet him but he is not. Only in it for the money. Over charges you. I had a problem with my computer charging. He didnt fix it kept it for over a month. Not once did he call me I had to call him even when he said hed call me never did. He promised me he could do certain things and was unable to. He didnt fix my laptop at all and over charged me for doing nothing. He treated me like I didnt know what I was talking about. Worst experience ever. Do not take your electronics here!

They didnt have what I needed but this is a great place, better than best buy or anything like that.

This place diagnosed my laptop to have mother board issues; they went the extra mile to fix my laptop, it made me happy!!!I appreciate the efforts and I recommend their services and customer care.

Good place to look at if youre having issues with your electronics! The employees are very nice and personable and were very communicative with me about time and pricing. They let me take my laptop with me while waiting for new parts to ship and let me know immediately when the part came. They fixed my laptop (keyboard replacement) faster than they quoted me for. Id go here again if I was having issues! Thanks!

If yuor looking for someone to work on your computer, YOU FOUND THEM STOP LOOKING ! I spent close to 5 grand on parts to build my dream gaming system and I took it to another place, I am not the type of person to hurt a company, but it was bad, I mean really really bad. I went to computer wiz, and I wish I had done that from the word go. At first I was a little I dont know, but they did everything thing right.They dont hide nothing and their honest people.. Nobody else will touch my computer but them..Thx guys I will be back..

Mike is great. Hes a little quirky but always gets the job done reliably. Plus, he always remembers his customers and is very personable. As long as hes around, I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The staff at Computer Wiz are cordial and treat you with courtesy. They quickly diagnosed the problem with my PC, explained it on a level that I could understand (given that I know next to nothing about computers...), and then took care of the problem in a timely manner.They kept me updated on the process throughout the repair period and did not appear frustrated when I called half-a-dozen times to see how it was going. These guys know what they are doing and run a QUALITY business. I hope my computer does not break again, but if it does, they will have my business.Check them out.

I had a big issue with my computer the day of classes starting for myself. Brought it in to these guys and they gave me my computer back and fixed in the same day. Very easy and very professional to deal with.

Terrible service and customer relations. If you are ready to be profiled at your every move then this is the place for you. They dont think much of their customers and feel a sense of superiority from the mere fact that you have to come to them to ask what is wrong with your computer. If you refuse their service or offer get ready to have the authorities called on you within the minute even while you are inspecting your device before you leave the shop to make sure everything is fine. Will treat you like a fool and will be insulted if you are not is the bottom line.

I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. They had my laptop for two weeks and spent the whole time telling me to wait for this and that while trying to get me to buy a different (worse) computer. When I finally demanded to have it back it was taken apart and I had to put it back together myself. They told me $20 for diagnostics but when I left they charged me $40 and all they had done is hit it with a multimeter. If I hadnt spent hours researching my own computer and the ones they tried to sell me I would have fallen for their manipulations. The owner tried to take advantage of me %100. He was pushy and made me feel uncomfortable. The other guy is his son and it seemed they were doing some good cop bad cop things at times while just plain arguing with each other at other times. I ended up learning how to replace my own motherboard out of frustration with this company. My computer is a Lenovo thinkpad with a SSD, 8gb RAM, and an i5 processor. They wanted to sell me a dual core dell with a HDD and told me mine was obsolete. Im using my laptop right now and I play modern PC games on it. These guys are complete garbage.

I had a real good experience with these guys. The service was great, they fixed my tablet and the fee was fair considering it took a couple of days. Nice guys, too.

Extremely unprofessional and disgustingly misogynistic.

They had my laptop for months, literally 4 months, to fix a broken screen and a speaker that should take a couple of weeks at most. They kept it over thanksgiving and winter breaks. After visiting 10 times throughout asking them to hurry up and once even arguing because they tried to tell me that my keyboard was broken ( it was not, they just messed the software up and could not fix it, I googled and fixed the issues myself so that should tell you some computer engineers they are), they finally gave me the laptop back. The screen does not fit the laptop encasing and keeps falling off, the bottom of the laptop is unscrewed and the laptop is far far worse than it was. They do not know how to work computers at all, they just google things but charge you hundreds of it and leave things broken. Please do yourselves a favor and go anywhere but here. Worst experience I have ever had with any kind of business by far.

Pros: Fast turnaround (same day with morning drop-off). They did re-install asus-specific drivers.Cons: Pricey for services rendered, non-transparent billing.I took my laptop in after the most recent windows update (left to run overnight) ended up bricking my system 2 weeks ago. This turned out to be a known issue with those who had Avast! installed on their systems. I needed my system wiped/windows re-installed. I did not need any files retrieved (those are backed up elsewhere).Upon pickup, the fellow handling me asked if I was quoted a price on the phone earlier in the day. No. I was then charged $195. Combined with the multiple compliments on my Asus gaming laptop, I half-wonder if I was charged based on what they thought I could pony up. The blank invoice didnt reinforce my confidence in their billing transparency.Given that I didnt have a second computer to download an ISO of windows 7 from Microsoft and preparing to move to Asia in 5 days, life had me by the gonads.I realize that the decent office space they have costs money + the time of the techs/staff, but it doesnt look good when you appear to be pulling numbers out of ones rear end like a haggling market peddler in my current neck of the woods.

Place is awesome. Went in there for the first time and will not go anyplace else. These guys give top rated service and are very good with their prices. They really took care of me and I would recommend them to anybody!

The customer service provided with Computer Whiz was excellent. I dropped off a computer that crashed and they provided a flash drive and recovered everything for me. I recommend them for any laptop repair!

I called to see if they had the cord to my daughters MacBook, he said they did and quoted us a very low price. We came to the shop and he wasn’t there, he said could we wait in town 45 minutes. (Keep in mind we drove from Bradford, my daughter is homeschooled and needs the computer cord now.) Two hours have passed and he claimed he would call me back..... I had more work for them but I will take my business to a more reliable source and not waste hours of my day.

So I will say that when you walk in you get hesitant, the place is a bit torn up, electronics spread about everywhere, old dingy carpeting and the cutest little guard dog that seems like he wants to bite your ankles off, but really hes just as sweet as the people who run the business. They care about customer service and really do everything they can to help you. I brought in a custom computer that I had built by my brother who was only in town for a short time, so he wasnt able to tweak it and fix all the complications that come with it. They diagnosed it same day and I got it back 2 days later after ordering a part and having it installed. Their techs are very experienced, comprehensive, and know what theyre doing! I really recommend taking your business to them!

We put a downpayment on fixing a problem 6 months ago, and he dodged our calls and never called us back. Finally after many months we got in touch with him and dude doesn’t even know if he has the parts he needs, and STILL DIDNT CALL WHEN HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO. Also the place smells like cat piss, and it’s hot inside.Update: He responded to my review, and most of it was lies. They didn’t give me all my money back, they never called me to tell me anything about the parts, and we DID contact them multiple times over several months, with no response besides “I’ll call you tomorrow”. Don’t go to this shop.

I called their shop looking for an old, obscure part for a computer. They invited me to the shop and spent the time looking for the part and charged me reasonably.They seem like a good bunch of people, highly recommended!

I had a problem with my hard drive in my computer, i knew what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix it but i didnt have the tools to do it so i went to see how much they would do it for and too see if they would try and up sell me... They did not try and rip me off they told me exactly what had to be done. They didnt try and make me pay for unneeded things and they charged me a fair price,That almost never happens at a computer store they always try and rip people off so i respect them and will use them in the future.

This place sucks and are thieves. I told them to work on my computer and inspect and let me know what is wrong before working on it. They went ahead and worked on it anyway, forcing me to pay, but also not fixing the problem. In fact the computer still doesnt work and they also tried to steal my graphics card and sound card. Should sue them instead.

These guys over charged me for what they told me was a new (actually used) power cord. When I called them out on it they basically said they would hold my computer ransom until I paid them. Avoid this place if you can.

They are really nice and helps me find the M2xL3 for the SSD.

They returned a charge cord for a completely different model of computer (with wires sticking out of it no less) instead of the cord I brought in to them. They charged me $100 just to clean the fan on my laptop, and when I got the computer home my A key on the keyboard no longer worked!!! The owner assured me he would fix it for free since they were the ones who broke it, but when I took it back in they charged me another $75 for the keyboard that THEY broke!!!!! No organization and shady as all get out!

Went there about two years ago looking for a basic power cable for a desktop computer I was refurbishing for a friend. Asked one of the owners employees if they had any, he said yes, handed me one and said it was $10. I pulled $10 and was ready to give it to him when he said I had to hand it to the owner, his boss. I went to the owner and he immediately said no, the price is $20 I said, look your employee said ten bucks, whats with the shady business dealings? He got offended and told me to leave before he changed his mind. Should either train his employees better or fire them if they dont know his prices. Either way, this is a shady shop with pet hair all over the place. Ive worked in computer repair and the last thing you want is the guard dogs hair on your computer when they fix it.
