Great place to sell cattle

I love the place great prices on livestock for buyers and sellers. But get the little kid out of the pens with the calves I saw him knock down a 2 or 3 day old bottle calf I mean come on they are already stressed out enough don’t let the kid be rough with them

Took heffer over at 9 on Thursday so they would make main sale. They didn’t sell until the end. Sold 390 pound cow for $195 dollars. Fifty cents a pound. Going to ask him to buy me another one for fifty cents a pound.

DECATUR LIVESTOCK its best place if you want to sale you cattle

Drove 4 1/2 hours down there and back dropped off 5 sows and 28 2 month old piglets all together they brought 400 dollars and I get a check Im the mail after all their feed were taken out out for 45 dollars I feel Ive been robbed I think someone should do some investigating something there cant be legal

Sold Hair sheep there multiple times over the past 1.5 years. Been very happy with the sales, fairness of their auction fees, assistance with unloading, and the promptness with sending either mailing checks or holding them for pickup. The updates they have made to the cafe, office, and sale barn are also very nice!

Kids mistreating the animals. During the break they let kids in with the animals to chase them and scare the animals, and then laughing about it. No way to treat the animals, its an auction house not a daycare. Keep the kids away from the animals and treat the animals with respect. Unless you are very familiar with their process it is very confusing, hard to keep track of what was being bid on. Our Billy was run through so fast only one person had a chance to bid. Will never bring another animal here again.

This used to be a good sale, not anymore. Today I witnessed children in the sale arena beating on sheep for fun. This was during the intermission between the pig sale and the sheep/goat sale. I went into the office to report this to the people who work there and was apparently the second to do so. A blonde woman in the office was threatening a woman for telling them exactly what I was there to tell them. There is no excuse for abusing these animals let alone teaching their kids to do so.Anyone in this business realize you sometimes have to get rough to herd livestock where you want them, but thats not what was going on. These sheep were in the arena waiting to be auctioned and there were no adults in the arena. Completely inexcusable behavior.

Total rip off. Cows were all pregnant when I took them to sale barn. Statement came back stating that one was not pregnant. Called multiple times, Red Bone never called back. I was out the money. Took my cattle again 2 weeks ago. Statement came stating they were only offering $1/lb. for some of my steers. Called multiple times, Red Bone never called back. Very disappointing. Cant do anything about it now that my cattle are gone and Red Bone has my money. Take your cattle somewhere else.

Has a good variety of livestock, but most importantly they pray before they ever start the sale.

Friendly, fun folks with good stock running through. Fair bidding and a little banter too.

REDBONE, is a great owner and a hell of a guy. We use them when we can.

Two weeks in a row now, Ive loaded my animals up and hope to sale.... this is a two hour drive... the first time there was a sign up saying the sale day had changed. This time there is no sign. Im done. Ill take my sales elsewhere.

So far theyve been fair. Customer service on the phone not so great. But, I do reccomend these guys for cattle. I always get my check.

I live close by they block the road on Fridays, anmials always get out because there fenceing is very old, I watched them run a cow over that got out with a truck in the field across the street one time its a mess
