Im doing a update review. I had my transmission rebuilt and flywheel replaced on my 2001 Ford F-150.It was done like 4 years ago at the old location on Belmont and I’ve had no problems with the truck at all. After it was done it ran like a new truck and still does. Great pricing, helpful and nice people. If I ever need major repairs I’m coming here!

I was in the middle of a long road trip and had the check engine light come on. They were able to diagnose the problem, get the part, and install it all same day. During the whole process they communicated what needed to be done and gave me the cost upfront. When I explained I was on a road trip and needed the car same day, they stayed a little later to get it done even though it was memorial day. Because of their great customer service and work ethic, I was able to continue my road trip problem free. If I ever found myself needing repairs in Fresno again, I wouldnt hesitate to bring my car back to them.

Before going to Romitas I went to Chrysler of Fresno thinking they would get the job done professionally and proficient, but to my surprise about 12-$1300 later i ended up going to Romitas after several referrals from friends and family and they were able to replace my engine with a fast turn around time and under the cost i was getting quoted from Chrysler. They also worked with my insurance i will most definitely keep going here.

I brought my truck in because it didn’t pass smog and my check engine light was on. People at the front desk are always friendly and accommodating anything I need, they took my truck in and ran diagnostics test and made the repairs as needed. I trust them and the technicians are always honest which I appreciate!

This place is good, for only oil changes. I don’t understand how an experienced knowledgeable owner of an auto shop wouldn’t know what is wrong with my vehicle and this loud noise it was constantly making. It’s embarrassing on his part for not knowing or taking the time out to look for the problem since that’s what auto shops do.. But I took my car to another shop, 400$ got my problem fixed. They did not mind spending time to let me know what is really wrong with my truck and got me good quality parts. Now the noise is completely gone. Better luck next time guys :)Update: and the noise was not caused by the break pads, the break pads are in great condition. It was the back 2 rotors that needed to be resurfaced or changed. Which I got them changed, brand new no sound thank you :)

Great service. I was contacted when my parts came into the shop and was able to schedule for an appointment immediately for the next day. Loved the service here and will, in all likelihood, return for all future needs.

Took in my 14 Accord for a couple things and we’re able to get all of them address! Luis did a great job explaining the check engine light code diagnostic process every step of the way. They were able to clear the 2 codes present and get rid of the light. They were also able to pin point a popping noise from the suspension and repair it! Straight forward honest work and great technicians in the back as well.

Beware of scams and what they do to your vehicle. I took my car in for a/c service and they charged me $100 for labor but couldnt even find the cause so they wanted me to pay another $160 to find out whats wrong with it. I said no and when I took the car back the plugs werent even plugged in for the radiator fans. I took my car to do ac service at Mobile 1 and theyre the most honest and cool shop showed me what was the problem and they didnt even charge me extra for what was wrong with my ac. Got it fixed faster than this place in 1hr and theyre able to do it on the same day i called, while this place will take 1-2 days to try to fix on top of that 1 week schedule to take your car in.

Very happy with romita automotive first time here and will definitely come back I broke a bolt on my engine block and they helped me fix my problem quick and and very good clean , job I just moved to the area and am very happy I have found this shop . Luis was very helpful and understanding thanks and definitely recommended them 👍🏼

Great customer service but they over price on parts and labor

I called in to see if I could take in my car for new brakes and they were able to accommodate me the same afternoon! I called various shops for estimates and Romita Auto Serv. was able to get me the best deal. Upon arrival, Luis explained to me what exactly was getting done to my Lexus and he was able to get it to me before they closed. He was very professional and I’m so glad I went with his recommendation because my car drives better than it did before I took it in!

I dont want to bash this company too hard but I didnt have a great experience. The receptionist was helpful, professional, and kind. Staff generally were kind and tried to be helpful but the cost caught me off guard. Went in with a honda element that had an Eva leak and I had already replaced the gas cap, checked the fuel filler neck, and checked into the fuel hoses. I know it leaked gas if I filled the tank too far so assumed it was something I couldnt find in the lines or the tank itself. $160 to look at it and initially I was plenty okay with that. Thats a fair enough price for how quick they got me in. But then I got a text saying they thought it may have been an issue with the fuel tank along with a photo. They said they would call but half an hour later..no call. I called and got a message that the mobile user couldnt be reached at that time. I called again a few min later and was told it would be $200 for teir 2 diagnostics because they needed to take the tank out and check it sepwrately. $200 to look at a part? Seems a bit much for me. I came to get my car and paid the $160 and will be taking it to A&A auto repair where they assured me that for $95 they would pinpoint the issue and discuss repair options with me before moving forward. And just to clarify, the $200 was to look at the part. Not fix or replace it. That would cost more. So $360 to figure out the problem all together. Very frustrating. Maybe I just dont understand something about my car or how expensive mechanics can be but to me it seems like a lot and they didnt really reassure me that it was necessary or make me feel very comfortable about it. I know its a long read but I hope it helps someone sometime.

They charged me 183.00 for a diagnosis on my ac system. They basically told me the same information abt my ac system that I told them when I brought my car to them . No help at all !!!!

This was our first time there and I was very impressed they treated me very nice and what really impressed me is that the mechanic send me a picture text of my brakes the mechanic fixed the issue and we were very satisfied I really recommend people to give them a call if they have car issues ..Reasonable.. Took in my BMW i8 and received honest and professional customer service by Luis.

At first they say they will charge me 30 dollar for a checking diagnostic n then they charge me 100 for another one to do further test. I already know it the alternator need to be replaced but they want to go further more with the diagnostic so I just let them. Turn out it is the Alternator need to be replaced. I dont have any issue with the alternator atm but I do get 5 year warranty for the part.After they replaced the alternator my car start to have rattle noise when I start the car and it will stop once it warm up. At first I thought that it probably normal cause I just got my car fix but it still doing it everyday that I will have to take it to somewhere else n get it fix. I notice there also foam in my power steering. Before I take my car to them I already check my power steering fluid n it wasnt like that.

I drop off my Toyota for a wheel bearing replacement for both sides, and it was ready the next day. It runs like new again. The receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and the young girl who checked me out was even better. She had a wonderful smile and made me feel welcome. Great service!!!! Better then Nissan service at the dealership! Went in for a possible gas leak due to the smell of gas coming from my car. They called me stating they didn’t find any leak or problem and offered to double check it once again. Very reasonably pricing, I would recommend this place to everyone! Fixed leaks on my car, and found out what the issue was that was causing my car to overheat. With a lower price then what Midas charged me (426$) that did nothing for my car and didnt even need to be replaced, if you dont want a guessing game i suggest go here, they will let you know whats wrong. I would reccomend this place, and take any future cars here first

The lady was nice at the front desk and wasnt rude. I asked before hand if they were going to be open New Years Eve. She asked the mechanic he said yes therefore I made an appt at 8 am. I made an appt. And they didnt even show up. Why make appts for your customers if you cant keep them. I was actually recommended to this place. I will never recommend them to anyone! Some people may have had a good experience and gave it a good rating. But as for myself I was not happy. I waited in hopes they were running a little late, but nothing. Dont make appts you cant keep!
