I always enjoyed going to Frys, they usually had a good deal on something I could use. Not anymore and for months now. I see more and more empty shelves, pegs, and floor spaces. Same story, theyre changing vendors and the way they want to pay them, on consignment. Its not working! Even if they decide to close, there wont be much of a going out of business sale! On Shelves where they had PC cases, they have filled with indoor stand alone AC units. I hope for their return but it sure doesnt look that way 😟

This is a huge showroom. They have everything you need related to electronics. They also deliver items home for a small fee. The service personal are very helpful too. Decent in-store deals, price matched for 30 days on TVs.Lots of parking available. Small cafe present inside the store.

First time go to Frys and i feel kinda sad. I can imagine this place must be great maybe 10 year ago. Go to computer sections and i can see if you looking rare parts maybe this place will be my option. Im looking for PC games but not many colletions.

Id give more stars but Frys is not the same as it was many years ago. Bustling, busy and lots of products to look at. If you know what you need as far as computer parts or certain electronics and cant wait for online delivery, then good place to pick something up. Otherwise its a bit sad now here

I came to fries to purchase an item I can’t find anywhere else TV mounting bracket. By the time I got out of the store I was approached by three different salesman trying to arrange pick up. But I didn’t need them to pick it up and I didn’t need them to write it up I need to purchase it at the counter what they were trying to do. What they wanted to do was to get their sales commission from writing it up. They told me that if I didn’t write it up they couldn’t sell it to me. Another gentleman approached me trying to sell me cosmetics. A hard line sales tactic. And the person end up not even working for fries. This store is obsolete.I only came here in order to buy something that I didn’t have to wait for. But other than that it is completely a waste of time. And the high pressure sales tactics put me off. I don’t ever want to come back to the store. I hope that fries goes bankrupt and close their doors. The next time I come back and see a sales person trying to sell me something when I’m walking down an aisle. I will grab the item and throw it to the ground. And ask him if I can sell him my services to pick it up I am so By the sales people that I can’t even put into words. All I wanted to buy it was one item I didn’t want to be harassed or even noticed all I wanted was to buy the item in the store I did not come into the store for a lecture on cosmetics and how I can save thousands of dollars per year by buying cosmetics from a middle-age guy at fries. I am profoundly disappointed with the store and my entire ordeal I am glad to be going home now and never having to come back here again

Very good, especially the gas discharge tube, and the Tesla coil, a tribute with statue of Nikolas Tesla.I took my kid(5yr old) there, and it was a good time for him, to see the huge Tesla coil, and gas discharge tube glowing.This a good place for kids too.The staff were supportive and helpful.

I had a chance to visit this branch a few times in the past few weeks to get some parts for my PC. One thing I like about it is that you can order from the website, then pick the order from the store. Once the order is confirmed, it usually doesnt take long for them to be ready for pick up.The location is really big with plenty of parking spaces. Even during the holiday rush I was able to find parking easily. Picking up the orders was also a straightforward process. I just had to show my order confirmation, and the staff would get the orders right away. During COVID, this is important, because the less time I can be in the store, the better. I will definitely come back here if I need more parts for my computer.

Excellent staff helpful. Clean, large, cafe , all your needs from Computers, Music to Flat screen TV and then some. Kids games, gifts and fun little snacks.

Store is huge, did a lot of walking. The isles, shelves, items and labeled sections of the store could be condensed to make it not such a stretch to get from item to item or area to area. It was very quiet in there, almost like an abandoned wear house. They have a lot of product, something for everyone. They have kids toys, bathroom items, kitchen items, furniture, computer components, and so much more. Really cool place, just way too big. Prices were good on most items. I would have loved to explore more. I will definitely be going back.

Visited with the intention of buying a surround sound system and was was pleased to see the wide variety of models on display. Had a helpful sales representative narrow my choices down to the perfect product that fit my needs. My only minor gripe with the items on display were the product description labels. They did not provide sufficient information about the item and I found myself having to look the items up online. The store has great staff, competitive pricing and a large selection of products which contributes to a great buying experience.

Its sad to see what Amazon has done to local brick and mortar businesses. This Frys is a shadow of its former self. About 30% of the store is blocked off apparently for the appliance and electronic items (TVs, receivers, speakers, etc) they no longer sell. I just needed some cables and a power strip. On the plus side, I got helped right away and they were stocked with a good selection of what I was looking for.. Im guessing that Frys wont be around for much longer. Im definitely not an Amaxon fan but pretty soon well be stuck with what that beast has to offer at prices they will control. Sorry to be so negative but that will be the logical outcome.

There was a display of a huge Tesla Coil, and gas discharge tube, and it was a like a museum. with Nikolas Tesla Statue holding a plasma ball.Items were priced competitively, and staff were helpful.

Im not sure what is happening to Frys Electronics. The shelves are empty in lots of places. There is very limited selection. Lots of off named brands. Im hoping the stores can return to offering the products and selection available in the past. Im hoping Frys can avoid bankruptcy.

I dont know what has happened to this place, but theres no reason to come here anymore. Shelves are empty. Theyve replaced merchandise with signs. It looks as though the place is out of business. Employees wandering around sort of like zombies. Sad and a little bit frightening.

Much larger than the one in Campbell. Getting price matching against Amazon was a bit of a hassle compared to BestBuy. Electronics, computer stuff, snacks, and even p0rn (no joke)! Its where geeks can go to browse and shop - cant tell how much time has passed when Im in this place (in that way, similar to a casino).

Large store...like very spacious. They had some unique things ... for such a large space youd think theyd carry more stuff. They have old tech too (mp3 players) and games I think too. They offer some services, but only for iPhones (e.g. screen repair). Might go back to see whats what if theres a sale.

We love Frys for the electronic/electric components as well as usual items one can find at an affordable price. Both my husband and I loved going there.

Always a great place to shop. Get to see and tough the product unlike Amazon. Sad to see the end of this franchise.

Id give it one star if I didnt have such good memories of this chain. Ive shopped there for 30+ years and it was always a destination.They sadly have fallen on hard times.Lets just say the inventory level is very low.They have been a great resource over the years and thats how I prefer to remember them.

Wide selection of electronics. I was looking at a mechanical keyboard and wanted to test the Cherry MX browns however there were not any on display. William, the computer sales supervisor opened a keyboard with browns to make available for testing. I was very impressed with the service, and also the willingness of their employees to learn instead of taking a fake it until you make it approach.

Store is nothing like pre Covid times. More than half the store is empty. No car audio, home entertainment and household appliance sections, etc. Shelves are pretty thin on supplies. Im not sure if store is going out of business?

Well I bought a Monitor the boxes was open for some odd reason, No refund but they let me exchange it and gave me a store credit the manager Josh was honest said the company wont let you return damage items, no proof or log or paperwork saying it was inspected I honestly was ok but the monitor that I got was a outdated one and horrible specs do to.them running low on monitors Frys electronics are fading away to best buy walmart amazon I honestly wish I got full refund or a better monitor 533$ gone.

Absolutely the worst customer service here. I always go to the Palo Alto location and stop going because of this reason. But needed something last minute, I’ll give them another chance, they price match which is awesome but it’s like pulling teeth trying to ask for assistance here. And to end it all a huge line. Don’t bother.

It was my first time going to Frys & I realized instantly how much I was going to love this store! They had everything I was looking for plus much more! I could spend hours in this store & I look forward to my next visit!

We had come in here to get an RF splitter and some blue paper. Found the RF splitter, after finding a few other unexpected things that magically fit perfectly into our shopping cart. There was hardly any paper though. Sure, there were spots on the shelves for paper...but most were barren. In fact, the majority of the store was over half-empty. With such a big a$$ store, thats a lot of emptiness. But it is what it is, I suppose. Nevertheless, it made me wonder if this place would soon become a memory, forged from brick and mortar, only to live on through e-commerce.

Selection was not as good as Ive seen in the past but understandable with the whole Carona thing screwing up shipping and mayhem. Overall still had a good number of things and I was able to get what I needed quickly without any fuss. Looking forward to when its at full stock again.

Its incredibly saddening watching the slow death of such a legendary store chain. To no fault of their own, the retail industry has evolved and there is little they could do or can do to change with it. I couldnt even buy AA batteries at their Battery Central because they arent restocking them. I used to regularly shop at Frys because you could find anything you were looking for, but people less and less build their own computers and less and less want to go into a brick and mortar for their shopping needs. I used to love going to Frys, but I cant lie about what Im seeing now.

I drove today from Hayward all the way to Frys Electronics for nothing. The store looks like they are going out of business it was a ghost town. There was no cars in the lot. I wanted to purchase a laptop and printer ink. What kinda electronic store dont have a single laptop in it? There was nothing in the store. What hugh disappointment and waste of time. The store is the worst.

This place is surprisingly nice! Theres an entire case inside! They even have a giant Tesla coil (though it was non-functional when I got there). The place actually looks like a nice retail store and not like an old abandoned warehouse thats been raided after the apocalypse like most other Frys stores. Process here are almost always good, usually you have to find a deal online, but they will always match it. Cashiers and staff dont necessarily enjoy their jobs, but they dont remind you of that all the time. Its a big place, nicely stocked, well lit, and well staffed. Would like to come here again if I ever find a good deal online and need them to price match.

This Frys always has a wide selection of products at great prices. Always clean and adequately staffed. This is our local Frys so Im here for most electronics needs. The print cartridge refill service is a great value as well. Good hours. Plenty of free parking.

Everything was clean and organized with big signs. There was plenty of employees around, but no one greeted me or offered assistance. At checkout, clerk named Marilyn was friendly and courteous but she was eating something during my transaction. Customer service needs improvement!

Support local businesses. Glad this chain is still surviving despite Amazons monopoly. Here you can see the products in comparison to others, talk to knowledgeable staff about the products, be taught and listened to. This is something that Amazon cannot do. Priceless.

Good place to get good hardware and gaming furniture. This is a gamers paradise. Its a big warehouse showcasing latest tech for PCs and high end gaming furniture.

Either i came on a between stocking day or they just mormally run liw or oit of items. I was in on a Wednesday afternoon. Not busy but still seldom saw an associate. They do have a vast collection and assortment though :)

Electronics for days always pick up here facemask and hand sanitizer also.

Uggg. Fry’s used to have everything electronic, but this store was an empty cave with odd knick knack and specialty devices and components. No good selection of computers, printers, etc. signage was horrible and scant staff to assist.

I always have picked this place over Best Buy.

Huge store with lots to offer consumers. I love that I dont feel cramped in the store because its so open, even though it has lots of items. Prices are decent. Theres ample parking in the lot, and a good amount of parking spots for the disabled.

Place was so empty. They also didnt have the item I needed. I didnt want to pay Jeff Bezos my money so went to a physical store. Ended up giving my money to Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos always wins out at the end.

Really big store with electronics ranging from many categories. Some items are limited stock if it’s a special thing, and lots of their stuff looks like it needs to be restocked. Usually pretty empty in here for some reason. The employees are generally pretty helpful and friendly and will answer your questions!

Slow service and barley any service there. A little tip dont get too much stuff you will be there for at least 1 to 2 hours. I used to love this place but something changed. I dont get why they are so slow the place is so empty theres literally nobody there.

Frys used to be a great place to browse nearly anything. The movie selection and toy area are severely lacking, but they usually have something interesting. The As Seen On TV stuff is always weird. If you want something electronic they have it. The prices are OK.Staff are hit or miss. Some are super friendly and helpful while others make you feel like youre interrupting their day.The bathrooms are usually clean.The best part is the parking lot. So big and usually so empty. Perfect place to bring someone to teach them to drive, exchange custody kids, show your car to a potential buyer or just sleep in your car.

I bought 550$ camera 11 months ago and paid for 2 years warranty,I took less than 100 pictures and lens got issuedThey had same as my camera but they didnot replace it!!!They borrow it to me and sent my camera for repairI waste 1hr time in Sunnyvale branch and they accepted the replacement but they didnot have the same camera and they ordered to come to fremont branch! And this guys even they have, after about 1:30 hr wasting time, they didnot accept replacementWhats my point, when they are selling goods to buyers they use buyers easy and charge more than online stores and we pay more for warranty too but how is our time valued?!!!I dont buy from fryz anymore

Probably the weirdest electronics store Ive ever been to. They actually sell a variety of things besides (mostly used and refurbished) electronics. Helpful if youre short on school supplies/office supplies. Its HUGE inside, too big for what it really is, since I feel that the selection is only moderately decent.

Frys seem to be going down as a business. Inventory is bare bones, workers say they are aiming towards a consignment model but doesnt seem like its working. It used to be packed full of inventory but has since become a ghost town. I wouldnt recommend to go and aim for Best Buy as the better option.

In a way, they killed their own business by offering so much Deal of the days that now customers only go there if theres a deal. Otherwise they just wait and wait.....store shelves are pretty much empty...only a few of this and that....A store with no direction no plan to stay alive....

Look, this joint is going down fast. Its just a matter of time before the whole thing goes up in a puff of smoke. I visited here for old times sake and take a jog down memory lane. I remember when Frys was the hot stuff where you can fulfill all your need dreams and buy a refrigerator if you feel so inclined. Now their inventory is dated, floor is unmanned. Ill be here again when the closing sale goes down.

Used to think this place would be more expensive than Walmart and like stores, but was pleasantly surprised to find some great deals on items that I needed and in general they have decent prices. Recently it has been looking rather empty on the shelves, not sure if it is closing or going out of business though Andi hope not as I like browsing here while getting what I need.

Historically, the main attraction of Frys has been their product selection. People would tolerate their inflated prices because they knew they could at least find whatever they were looking for whether it was a computer, TV, refrigerator or a banana scented foot massager shaped like a dachshund. Well theyve kept the inflated prices but their product selection has completely tanked. There are zero computers, laptops or monitors on display in the PC department. The television department is equally barren except for a few obscure brand TVs that are still in their boxes. The same goes for their cameras, stereos and pretty much every other department. There are some major appliance offerings left but the sheer emptiness of their shelves is staggering. Its obvious that they are planning to close this store but, eerily, nobody working there will admit it. If anyone in charge at Frys had any honor, they would publicly state that the stores closing is imminent then have a genuine Going Out Of Business sale. To continue in this half hearted fashion to lure customers with the hope that theyll empty the last remnants of junk off your shelves shows that they have zero regard for the value of the publics time.

Purchased 1 gallon hand sanitizer that was in their marketing email at a decent price. Smelled ridiculously awful and it was unreturnable. Obviously they knew it was not what people would be at all satisfied with and sold it anyway. I submitted a review of the sanitizer at Frys request and was notified next day that they wouldnt be publishing it. Not a happy customer, really surprised by the experience. Not in a good way 😬

Currently it feels like a barren wasteland, but it still has a great selection of electrical components. Employees feel like a rare sight, so I would make sure what youre looking for is in stock before you head over.

The mecca of all my tech needs, even though these days I just use Amazon. Frys is where I first went to build my PC in high school, so there is some sentimental value there. However, when you set foot in this store, you will immediately notice what things are not worth your time (the as seen on TV stuff). Their selection of processors, motherboards, and RAM is still pretty good. Monitor and TV selections are so-so; theyve got an obligatory Apple section too. The staff are great and will help address any questions you have (returns/exchanges are super easy).

Sorry to say it looks like this Frys is no going to be open much longer. Half the store was empty and what stock they did have in the selection was week.

Typical vast eclectic Frys. I had to ask where things were 5 times. Good prices on tools & parts I needed (on Black Friday). Good access to public transit& giant parking lot.

I got what I wanted and not crowded

One of the really good stores for electronics. This store has a wide variety of collections. You can pretty much get any electronic items or accessories at a reasonable price. They also do price match !

The coffee shop set inside the store is my favorite. Loved the freshly made sandwich and the coffee. Frys electronics is like any other huge electronic shop with all electronic appliances under one roof. You can also pick some moisturizer, perfume and deodorants while on the go! The electronic appliances are priced decently and if you catch them during one of their discounts, you may actually end up getting a good deal. We picked our TV from there and are satisfied!

I needed a new wireless router. I went to the store which right by hwy 680. I got immediate help and a recommendation on what to from a young sales associate. He also deducted $10 from the price ($99) as a Amazon discount. I spent less than 20 minutes in the store. I was very pleased.

Wow! I havent been here in about a year. The place was so empty. The parking lot was so clear. The store had hardly any merchandise. When i asked what was going on, they said they were restructuring....i think they are closing.....

This store looks and feels kind it is in its final days. I recall visiting Frys every weekend and looking forward to the Friday ads. Now, I walk in and you cant buy Apple computers; the selection of computers and accessories is becoming scarce while the inventory of cheap toys and other non computer goods has increased.Are they going to be the next victim of Amazon and other Internet retail options? Or did they fail to adapt their business model to compete with online retailers.

Still the BEST Electronic Store compared to all others....It has, over the years, gotten a little rough as shelf stocks dwindle. You have to go around to the different locations if you want to buy a lot of certain items. Great and very helpful staff....If you get to know your favorite staff sometimes they will let you use their employee discount....hahahaha...ssshhhhhhh!!!!!

I used to love this store in the 70s, but my first visit in many years was vey disappointing. It now seems soul-less, and quite devoid of customers. The store didnt have either item I wanted (and expected it to have).

Customer service people on the floor are of no help.i tried and talked to 3 workers and did not want to help me just sent me somewhere else. Why are they even Working there? I should have took the hint when I noticed there was no other customers in there but me .I also did find what I needed on my own while waisting 15-20 minutes looking for it. decided not to buy it there, because Frys doesnt care about there customers

Most all stock and shelves empty. Was informed by an employee store is not closing just going through a distribution company change. Hence forth hardly any merchandise in store.

Love the nice and cool things they have plus its always helpful to already know what you want. Once you come into the store your able to find what your looking for.

I went in yesterday looking for a laptop. The one I was interested in was out of stock so the sales clerk pointed me in the direction of a comparable machine. He said it was a new product and a very reliable maker. I got it home, turned it on and after several minutes, the word welcome appeared then the word restarting then it shut off. That continued to repeat. Frys was already closed so I called the maker to see if there was some bizarre reason Id never heard of, that I should expect that for a few hours or something and they couldnt even begin to assist me because the computer is registered to someone else. Not me. Not Frys. New my ass! So I finally noticed a small sticker on the side of the box that I couldnt have noticed until after I purchased the freaking thing, which states the computer may have been refurbished. No one said anything like that to me and the guy helping me was at best, very misleading and at worse, outright lying. Plus I called this morning at 9 am (when they open) and it is now 9:28 and no one has answered the phone yet! So when I get there today to get a refund, all the sales associates better be lying unconscious in a filled of magical poppies placed there by a wicked green witch or Im going to be thoroughly annoyed.

Just stopped in the parking lot to meet a friend quickly and the abandoned car with four flats, all windows down, open gas tank, and busted headlight left a bit to be desired.

Ive been to Frys for 35+ years, learning that a) they have all the desirable products and b) you never pay too much, even compared to online prices and c) they have a convenient and generous return policy.Its a bit hard, though, to find anybody to give technical advice or guide you to the right product. And if you find someone, you more often than not have to struggle through some heavy duty foreign accent and less than friendly attitudes.
