Worst customer service ever. Had an appointment at 930. Its now 11 and my car hasnt even been taken back yet. The service guy working the front desk was rude and hard to understand with his mumbling speech. Learn how to appropriately take care of your clients if you want better reviews. The only reason Im rescheduling is because Ive already paid for my tires. Will be speaking with the manager Monday morning.

I would give zero if I could. Spoke to them twice making appointment. Truck is commercial, 3500 sprinter dually. Not to big. Order two tires, we can do it. Drop it off, drop it off. We walk it. The guy goes and verifies that they can do it. It will fit. Leave. They call me 3 hours later. Can’t do it. Truck doesn’t fit. Funny thing is they never tried. We parked truck specifically with a rock in tire and in a certain spot. Never even tried. They are incompetent. Spend your money elsewhere where they are at least honest

As if traveling I-95 on a summer Saturday isnt stressful enough, the check engine light on my car went off just as I was pulling into my stopover destination - halfway between home 1 and home 2. Thanks to my host I was able to get the car to Pep Boys for a diagnostic. Sunday morning the diagnostic was done and I needed parts that were available locally, but not on a Sunday. I was scrambling for a car as I had a job interview Monday morning. Ron knew my situation and began calling around for the parts. He was able to locate everything and by 2:00. My emergency was not their issue, but they went over and above to help me out. I am so thankful!

Had to make an emergency stop due to lug bolt snapping on I-95. First person (Forgot his name, but I will call him Person A) I talked to was very polite and explained the process, the time, and the parts needed, including the price. Person A said he would call me in roughly an hour and a half. After the time passed I decided to give a call to check on the progress, when an individual named Ron answered the phone. Ron sounded very annoyed with my question and responded saying they realized they didnt have the second part they needed, and they just ordered it. I requested an estimated time so I would not travel too far. Ron got frustrated at me and raised his voicing saying that they just received ordered the part and he wouldnt know. Taken aback, I quickly apologized and said I would wait on his phone call.I later went in after another hour and a half after being called in by Person A. Person A cashed me out and everything went fine. However I noticed Ron on the other side of the desk. When another older customer went up to inquire about some tires, Ron proceeded to snap back at the customer and treat him like an idiot when he asked some questions. I made sure to remember his name, and his terrible service. Both my friend and I were taken aback by his rude behavior.The one star is for the person that I forgot his name, which I do apologize for, and I thank greatly for being helpful.not Ron.

Severely understaffed. Did not have the tires in stock that they sold me. Disorganized. The manager is lacking sales skills and definitely not customer oriented. Second customer of the day (prior to opening) and still took 3.5 hours to install 4 tires.

I started bringing my car here a few years ago, as Ive had good experience with other Pep Boys locations when living in other cities. They do reliable work at reasonable prices. My only concern is that they dont provide all available options, which has ended up costing me more in the long run.I can provide a couple of examples of this. A few years ago, my car needed an alignment. The service advisor (I dont know her name) offered me a 3-year alignment, which I gladly purchased. However, I later found out that they offer lifetime alignments for only $50 more. I would have even more gladly purchased that package, were I informed of it at the time. I plan on keeping this car for a very long time, so now the next time I need one, Ill have to request and pay for the lifetime alignment.More recently, one of my cars coil packs died. They correctly diagnosed the problem and replaced the coil pack, but I later found out that a four-pack costs about the same as 2 of them at the single price, and that it is best to replace them all once one of them dies. Ron, the service advisor, did not mention this to me at the time. If he had, I would have gladly had them replace all 4. About 3 months later, another one of them started to fail. So, I bought a 4-pack from AutoZone and replaced the rest of them myself.I do love that they constantly send me coupons for service, and they even sent me a free and unexpected centennial calendar with even more deals via text. As I stated before, their prices are reasonable; they also dont try to push unneeded services or products on me.They also have a decent waiting area and clean restroom, they honor their promised completion times, and it is fun to walk the aisles and check out car care products while waiting for my car.Another thing I appreciate about them is their hours of operation. They have more expanded hours than most other mechanics. I work 9-5, m-f, so I really like not having to take time off from work to get routine maintenance and any issues that arise handled quickly and conveniently.I will continue to bring my car here, but now I have learned to ask if they are presenting me with all options, and do a bit of research on my own of what they are telling me, so I can ask more informed questions.

If zero stars was an option thats what I would give. I took my car there for new tires. I had one brand new tire on the car that i specifically asked to keep and use as a spare. Ron the employee assisted me at this location and his customer service was very bad when I was alone with out any assistance. He gave me a higher price when i called personally and acted bothered by my questions.I had my uncle come in to assist me in person bc I was stranded right outside their shop without another option. In the end they completed the job late at night and a few days later i realized they had kept my new tire and a couple months later I was told that there was only two new tires on my car and two used ones up in the front. Not only did they keep my one new tire but they also didnt put the four new tires i paid for. Dont not go to this location and if you do, do not leave without throughly inspecting the work done. The integrity of service is non-existent. And customer care out of the question.

Highway robbery if you need mechanic work done. $650 for a new alternator, got them down to $450 and they say thats as low as they can go! I went half a mile away and bought one for $130 with lifetime warranty from AutoZone and installed it myself with no issue. Absolutely ridiculous and the shining example of a ripoff mechanic shop. Im sure its a corporate issue, the staff was fine but idk. All I can say is they will rip you off.

I was not very happy with the level of service I received. I scheduled an oil change and I was there over an hour and a half. No oil change should take that long. They lost my oil dipstick and so I had to purchase a new one. Im big on customer service. My husband still goes there but I will not, thats his prerogative. Iknow their service is mediocre. I hate to say it but Walmart offers way better service than Pep Boys when it comes to getting an oil change. I was out and back on the road in 30 minutes.

They were clear and concise with everything I needed and how much everything would be. They had a busy day being a Friday and the first of the month but I got my Dodge Charger back the next day before noon with everything done! They even put on a part I had free of charge while they were fixing it! Super friendly and very helpful! They replaced a perfectly good alternator with one that broke down 4 months later, taking advantage of the fact that we were traveling and just needed to get where we were going. In addition, it is downright impossible to get any actual assistance or follow up (much less a resolution) from their customer service department. I will forever avoid all Pep Boys locations at all costs!

Very good service. Went to get my son a couple tires. Was to be about $300 but they found a bad barring and that cost another $300 and most of that was labor. They have always done right working on my vehicles so I trust them to work on my sons. The staff has always been very helpful and the store is really clean.

Great experience! I dropped the car off at the scheduled appointment time and it was ready 2 hours later. Purchased 4 Kumho Ecsta 4X II KU22 tires installed for $406. That was with free installation and 1yr roadside assistance. Best deal I’ve ever gotten in a set of tires. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Will never use this company again. We went in for a simple alignment, oil change and 4 new tires... Waited an hour and a half WITH an appointment before they came out to tell my husband the bad news that all of the sudden our car needed almost $2,000 worth of work before they could do the alignment... interesting because some of what they said we needed had just been serviced by our normal mechanic and we only went to them because our normal, trustworthy mechanic doesn’t do alignments. So they tried to up-sell us to a large $$$ amount even after we had already been quoted a price prior. When my husband tried to cancel all work they conveniently said oh but we already started the tires and the oil is drained so you have to pay for these?? Unbelievable!!! Since they had just pulled the car into the stall only minutes prior. Not trustworthy! These companies have turned into sales teams pushing services to customers they think are uneducated... I firmly believe they looked at our older car and made a judgement that my husband must be poor and uneducated and tried to pull the proverbial wool over his eyes! We caught ya! We will be telling ALL of our friends, family and all of Social Media. Something needs to be done... Now getting reviews this has happened before To many other customers... Is this only certain employees doing this kind of shady work pros corporate teaching them how??? I’m going to find out!!

My car started to act funny about 4 hours into a 6 hour road trip. The workers here were able to look at my car right away. They went to a nearby store to buy the part and I was back on the road in less than 2 hours. The situation was an absolute nightmare but the employees were extremely helpful and did their best to get my car back on the road as soon as possible.

Have a 22 year old car and Uncle VA took time out of his day to find a minuscule piece for my one of my door handles! He also helped find alternate running lights for my car which was so helpful! He even let us use tools from the store and try out the pieces first before we bought them. Super nice guy and an overall great experience.

I had to bring my (barely 2 years old) vehicle to a Pep Boys, since it is a fleet vehicle and I am not allowed to work on it myself. I have gone to other Pep Boys before for various maintenance work, and this time all I needed was a headlight bulb replaced. All seemed fine at first, but the next afternoon, for the first time ever, suddenly both the power steering and battery lights came on while I was driving. I was able to pull over to a parking lot, thankfully, but after turning the vehicle off it wouldnt start again.How does such a simple thing turn into them apparently creating a dangerous problem that ruined my ability to work for at least the rest of the week?

My dad would always have me go here for car work, and eventually it became my go-to place, but I have no idea what happened to their idea of customer service, but this year they have been absolutely horrible to me. I get that things happen, Covid is a thing, etc... but the lack of communication at customers expense is not okay. Two appointments now, I was supposed to have an inspection done, and they just didnt do it... didnt tell me... and I had to call and ask why, and it was because they didnt have someone there to do it, and never told me when I was on the phone talking about coming in for one, resulting in me showing up and waiting for hours (since I am disabled and have nobody who can take me anywhere, so I cannot drop my car off, so I just had to sit there) without knowing they were not doing the job that I was told they could do. Now, I called yesterday and specifically asked if there was someone there who could actually do inspections tomorrow, and I was told that they had 5 people and if I didnt drop it off for 2 days they would have to turn me away. Seriously? 5 inspections will take 2 days of work? And you are going to punish me for not being able to drop off a car? Especially, and I did point it out on the phone, when I had already come in twice for inspections (and my car has been illegal now since February, with the first time not getting an inspection before Covid happened). Seriously, the guy on the phone was so very rude about it, and there is no valid reason to constantly make me wait under the impression work was being done, and there is definitely NO reason why someone didnt tell me before I came in that someone would not be there to do inspections the last two times... absolutely ridiculous. I am going to have to find somewhere else that actually cares about their customers and will not treat them with disrespect like this, and I am most likely going back to Rose Auto Clinic where I used to go until my dad pushed me to go to Pep Boys in the first place. Not once have I EVER been treated like this at Rose.

I accidentally broke my valve stem pumping air in my tires and needed someone to replace the stem and put the tire back on. I called and Brittany answered, who was attentive, and customer service driven (give her a raise!) I got there a little late but was still out in decent time to get back to work. Each staff member that spoke with me was very courteous. It was even 10 bucks less than I was originally quoted. Will come back again for future services.

Not sure if I had a great experience or a bad experience. I’ll let you decide. I made an appointment for 1pm Monday, I get there at 12:45 and was told up front they are running behind. No big deal, I’ll shop for a bit. I get a call an hour and a half later saying they haven’t even started and it would be over two hours before they could get it in but offered a free oil change in return. Well, that’s okay with me, sure. I came back first thing the next morning and was taken in quickly and out in 30 minutes. Great! I’m impressed, every employee was very nice. Although they didn’t do any courtesy check and they marked they rotated my tires but it’s obvious they didn’t. I didn’t complain because it was free, but with a baby due soon I was really hoping they’d do the 15 minute courtesy check and tire rotation and I would have been willing to pay regular price for a complete service. Didn’t mention the check engine light code... The option was never presented so I’ll have to take it somewhere else to get it looked over. I know businesses don’t really make money off lube jobs but I would have been willing to get other services done if needed, disappointed and won’t be back.

Easily one of the best places Ive ever had any vehicle serviced. I used to live in old Town FXBG before I moved to Austin, TX last year and the Pepboys in the surrounding areas are terrible. Its gotten to the point that Ill drive up to FXBG to see family AND have work done on my car. The staff is extremely kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. Id give them more than 5 stars if I could.

I had to get my car towed there, they looked at it, did a diagnostic on it, was going to charge me for it, but when I told them I only had a certain amount of money since I just started a new job, they just had me pay the $10 worth of gas they had to put in it.Great people, very knowledgeable, and compassionate for others. Ive been a Pep Boys customer for many years and appreciate that they are honest, highly competent and fair in their pricing. But, until this week I hadnt felt compelled to share much about them. I went in for an oil change and to check on a tire that was supposedly low on air. At least thats what the sensor kept saying. Im not very mechanical so I appreciated all the time spent by them in explaining that my problem isnt one and it didnt cost me anything! God bless them!

1 star because I cant do 0. Called to ask one simple question was transferred immediately, with no warning, put on a hold/ringing cycle for 5 full minutes, then the line picked up and I could hear employees in the background (sounded like they were on the phone) before being hung up on. I dont know how any company expects to stay in business when they treat customers this way. Wont be going to Pep Boys again.

We dropped our car on Sat night and was expecting the results by Sunday afternoon. They did not call us. We had to call several time just to get a status. When they finally called us at almost closing they had a price of $1600 which didnt include all of the repairs we needed. Then we told them we will pick up our car on Monday and needed to think about the repairs. When I got there on Monday to pick the car it was not ready and they was mad because I was not getting it fix there. I had to wait almost an hour for them to get my car. Then they lied and said the horn switch would cost $825. I went to Sears who informed me the horn switch is not needed only a horn for $44.45. I will never take my car back to them. That was my first and last time using that location Pep Boys.

At 5:30pm, I discovered I had a flat tire. Went to a couple of other places that were still open but couldnt repair the tire before tomorrow. Called Pep Boys because theyre open later and they were super friendly and assured me that they could look at it right away. When I arrived, the service manager Michael and the technician Collin immediately got to work on it and I was back out in under fifteen minutes.Both were extremely pleasant and I cant tell you how much I appreciated things going so smoothly this evening! Thanks to Michael and Collin and to Pep Boys for doing such a great job for me when I was in a real pinch!

Brian in Service gave me the Best Treatment and Great Customer Service. Having a car in desperate need of repair and knowing nothing about what my car needed done, I was so nervous and worried I would be taken advantage of. Brian treated me with respect, explained things to me, called me throughout the process to keep me posted and charged me a lot less than I expected - and I did research their quote prior to authorizing Brian to go ahead with the repair work, and was pleasantly surprised to hear from PepBoys competitors that what I was being quoted wasnt a price they could beat. Came in for a defective tire bought from Pep boys at a different location, the man manning the desk was extremely rude, not helpful and offered no assistance in my issue, drove 2 hours for really bad service. He said I had to pay an extra $35 for a tire already under warranty and gave nothing but attitude about it.

I have to say that this was the best customer service I have gotten in a long time at an auto shop. I called Pep Boys for a tire quote and they gave me the cheapest quote and what they thought would be the best for my car. Of course I called four other auto shops and asked for what they recommended. After doing my research on the tires, Pep Boys definitely had the best review on tires. I got tires on my car about 3 days ago and my ride to work in Manassas has never been as quiet as it is now. These are the best tires I have ever gotten on my car. While at the shop, it was kind of cold outside, so I hung out inside the front. While I waited the last few minutes for my last tire to be put on. The people at the front were so nice and friendly. I did not feel out of place or uninvited. I will definitely be back to Pep Boys for future auto needs. Please give them a chance and write good reviews, NOT just the bad things. While being in the front I saw a few happy faces leaving and I also saw the guys up front go a few extra miles for some customers. Great jobs guys!

Fantastic Pep Boys store, one of the better ones I have ever been to. Around 5/6 months ago I replaced all 4 tires on my Chrysler minivan with pep boys. Went for an oil change at a Toyota dealership yesterday, they advised me about a nail in a nonpatchable spot. Luckily I purchased the road hazard protection from Pep Boys. They replaced the tire and I had very minimal out of pocket expenses as warranty described. What could have been a $200 problem was fixed for a few bucks. Customer service reps Mike and Tom provided exceptional customer service well beyond that of normal expectation. The mechanic was great too because I had no problems! Strongly recommend this location. Thanks again!

Never again! Ordered two tires from this place after a pothole ruined 2 and needed to replace them. Put order in and it was confirmed for installation on Saturday, life happens and I rescheduled for today, Sunday a full 24 hours prior to my appointment. Showed up and not only do they not have me in the system, they dont have my tires. Something about not worth shipping if the item is priced too low and that I could pick other tires instead... just not for the price I would have paid for the other set. This is the second time Pep Boys has annotated a product as available in their store only to show up and they dont have it in store, it exist in inventory, but they can order it and it will be available in a few days. I ordered the tires on Tuesday! Guess 4 days wasnt enough. Its no wonder People Boys loses so much business. Do yourself a favor and stick to more reputable stores.

Bought 4 tires from them got a pretty good price. One ended up getting a puncture in the sidewall and they needed to order a new one. Have had an issue before at NTW and Firestone and they were able to order one and get it in 1-2 days. They said they ordered it on a Wednesday. New shipments arrived but I had problems getting a it is here or it hasnt come in yet answer out of them. The continual I need to go in the back and check--we will call back, but never got the calls they promised. It was still not there on the next Tuesday. Finally they said they were going to have one sent overnight. It arrived the next day but I only found out about it by calling them instead of them calling me when it arrived like they said they would.Good: Price (sometimes--on sales), fast service when they have what they need.Could have been better: Customer service.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!I suppose for something simple like an oil change might be fine. But DO NOT bring it here for anything serious.Heres my long sad story....I bought my car here for a headlight restoration and to change my windshield wipers. I waited for 3 hours. Ok, whatever, they have other stuff to do and I dont know whats entailed in a headlight restoration. Anyway, I get my car back and I have to rush to another appointment. Later that day, its dark and rainy, perfect to test my bright new headlights and new wipers. So I get in my car to drive to the store and....its WORSE than before. Its so bad, Im actually scared to be driving but I have no choice as its a small two lane road with nowhere to turn around until the store.The next morning I go out to see that not only did they NOT change my windshield wipers, theres what looks to be white stuff around both of my headlights. So I got back to the store to talk to the manager. They then put new wipers on my car. And the manager says, oh dont worry about that, its just wax, it will come off when you wash your car...Heres the kicker...IT DOESNT COME OFF. After realizing this, I take it to the dealership only to find out they BURNT THE CLEARCOAT OFF MY CAR. Instead of just saying they didnt know what they were doing, they proceeded to ruin my car.Per their request, I take my car to get an estimate (almost $1000 BTW), hand it in and, nothing. Absolutely nothing was ever done after that. No further contact, NOTHING.This happened awhile ago, but every time I look at my headlights (yes, the damage is still there) it really makes me angry and I feel like everyone should be warned.I will NEVER take my car here and everyone I can tell this to, will make sure never to bring their cars here either.Thanks for ruining my car Pep Boys.

The first time I used this facility was for a tire change on my van. every single bolt on the van was over torqued. This was discovered when I backed off one of the lugs to find out had completely torn the threads off of the stud. My first course of action was to call the store, where I was asked what did I want done, as long as I could prove it was them. You have to be kidding me.Fast forward, learning from the previous experience of the mechanics who improperly set/use their tools, I determined that they will never touch my vehicle again. I would remove the tire and bring it in and reinstall myself. However, this next time around the shift supervisor from the service section didnt know how to work the system to pull my order. All the while I got to listen to some hardcore rap cussing up a storm in the shop area.Until these mechanics begin to work as professionals, there is no way I can be convinced to let them do anything on my vehicles. This store has damaged my van and has unprofessional staff. Avoid them.

I went in to get my tires checked, rotated, and balanced...as well as an Hub Assembly done...which by the way blew Meineke out of the park with price and service! I then had to go in for a bolt in a tire few days later. The desk staff were so patient and understanding, they were quick to service my vehicle!!! The Manager, Allen, made sure I received the best service. I could not have asked for anything better. I will be sure to return to them now that I feel they are trustworthy and through with their work! Thank You Pep Boys!

Well I called ahead for an oil change and asked for a price. When I arrived I waited about 15 min. for the front desk person to get off the phone while other employees just walked by me and ignored me. After that I was told that the information given to me on the phone was wrong and I ended up paying $30 more than expected. On top of that they just asked for my key and I stood there about two minutes before I was told there was actually a waiting room. This is the first time I use Pepboys and honestly I wish I had a better experience. 2/5 Stars for customer service and overall experience.

I’ve had nothing but excellent customer service from this Pep Boys! Any problem with my vehicle they always find the root of it and fix it accordingly. My SUV is an old piece of metal, but she’s still managing to hold on strongly all thanks to the care and maintenance of Pep Boys :)

Deal was ok for new tires. The people were helpful enough. However, the work was shoddy. The wheels were not balanced. I went back and had them balanced, and asked about what I thought was excessive road noise. They just said it was the tires. I believed them. However, I just got through replacing a wheel bearing at a different mechanic after it gave out completely today. Shockingly all the road noise was gone, and the new mechanic could not believe that Pep Boys didnt see that the bearing was going out, it should have been one of the first things they looked at when they took the wheels off. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

So back in january and February i had gotten both of my front tires replaced with about 134000 miles on my car. At Little Tire in feb. i had also gotten my alignment the same time i had gotten the passenger side tire. Also around march 26th i had gotten an inspection at Little Tire Co. and they said everything was ok! So now it is june and the tread on the inside of both tires is down to the braid my car is only at 143000 miles. They had messed up my alignment and now Im in a position that 2 tires i just replace are now garbage and cannot be fixed. Little Tire even said when they do inspections on a car they WILL NOT notate if the inner or outer tread is messed up. Little Tire Co. also said there is nothing they can do about it, even though both tires should be good for an extra 30000 miles or more.. I highly recommend choosing Pep Boys to fix your car, they are so friendly and will take you back to show you whats wrong if you are concerned. They had even explained that my tire rods were messed up and showed me how, the rotor on my car snapped in half and Little Tire had done an alignment for me and THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE since the inner and outer tire rod on my drivers side was messed up. Let me just say that Pep Boys really saved my life and my wallet from all the heartache that Little Tire Co. put me through.

Had a appointment at 4pm the guy tells me the job is 2-3 hours long but won’t be able to do it today. You tell me it’s 2-3 hours BUT you close at 8pm. Then tells me it’s best to come Monday- Thursday (today is Thursday) because fridays and Saturday is not good and Sunday it’s only one guy working. Cool but I HAVE A APPOINTMENT. So what does all that have to do with me and the scheduled time? Seems to me like y’all just either lazy or just don’t care. When I walked it there was a tech sitting on his phone! And only 3-4 cars in the bay.
