Great family owned service station. Been going here for quite a few years and I always feel Im getting a fair deal as well as an honest opinion.

Not only are they All Professional they are courteous and kind. I was given a ride home and the young man that drove me home was a Great Guy. I was given this shop’s name by a Dear Friend who Highly Recommended them and I feel the same way. I was in the car business for 38 years and I’ve seen a lot of service departments, these guys beat them all. Thank You so much ! This shop is appropriately named, they make you Feel Like Family.

Stopped in for a last minute auto inspection for a truck we were looking to buy, out of our area. Very glad we did, they were very knowledgeable, thorough and helpful! Very clean and comfortable waiting room, also! Would highly recommend!

Amazing people

I have brought all my vehicles for Gander Builders to have worked on. The owner is fair and always treats your vehicle like its his own. The shop is immaculate and when my son needed help finding a truck then Bill was right there to find him a great deal on one. The shop is so clean and its like a field trip looking at all the antique vehicles onsite. I was driving around yesterday and saw some knucklehead with a trailer saying bad things about this place. This guy has to be nuts as Bill is honest as the day is long. Keep up the great work!

I am in the process of getting a new car for my daughter for college. I was looking for a great mechanic to help me with this process. I knew it was going to be a daunting task finding a good reliable car with what I could spend. I was given the name of Frankfort family automotive from a friend on Facebook. I made the impromptu call and they told me to bring it on in. They were very kind attentive and even took the time to show me what was wrong with this car (why it was going to cost some money right away if I bought it) The building is very nice, clean and even has a stocked fridge and awesome touch screen coffee maker, BONUS!! I am very happy I found this place, I highly recommend family owned Frankfort family auto to anyone looking for great mechanics!!

My mother knows the owners personally and turned me on to this company, and I have to say hands down most professional, honest, knowledgeable, and amazing people. Transmission rebuild - was quoted $3,500, ended up costing $4,500. Yes I understand that its hard to determine the actual cost up front, but they did NOT notify me that the price would be higher than the initial quote or get my approval.Engine - had a loud lifter tick, clearly coming from the lifter. Yet I was charged $750 (over 5 hours of labor @ $145 an hour) for engine teardown. The lifter had clearly fallen apart and damaged the engine. Why did they need 5 hours to figure that out? Lifter tick was caused by a bad lifter... shocker!Was offered $1,000 for my old engine. $1,000 for a Viper engine?? The guy took me for a chump and wouldve been laughing all the way to the bank. There is bargaining and then there is lowballing and then there is Frankfort Family Auto-level lowballing.I emailed and called multiple times asking for a clear breakdown of what was involved with the transmission & engine tear down labor, and was promised that I would receive it but never did.Yes, they know Vipers, and yes the quality of the work is good, but if you go in and dont have a mechanical background, they are all too happy to take advantage of that.

April at the front desk is very pleasant, & professional. The guys didnt keep me waiting for hours; they took my truck back immediately. An half hour later I had my diagnostic and Im on my way! The mechanics are nice, they know their trade. The lobby is so elegant. I dont mind sitting in here although I dont have to! I found a new auto shop for my new (used) truck! I highly recommend this business.

Called from out of state to have them do a third party inspection. Would highly recommend letting Bill and his team handle this for you. They were prompt in getting it done and did a fantastic job of giving me details about what the vehicle needed. Even went beyond expectations by taking it to a body shop to have some rust looked at. Provided needed pictures as well. Wish I lived closer so I could take my vehicles to them.

3 lug nuts broke off our front left tire hub. (After being over torqued from a tire rotation in a different state)Called and came here on a Friday morning. We were on our way by the afternoon. Friendly, fast, gave us a ride to and from old Frankford, so we could spend our time relaxing. Cleanest mechanic shop Ive ever seen in my life! Smelled so good in there. They inspected everything before handing back the keys. Installed the correct lugs. (wrong size was put on previous). All 8 and the price was spot on. This is by far, THE BEST GARAGE EVER! Worth every penny! Good honest people. Highly recommended.

Great staff and service! The waiting area is super comfy with snacks and drinks and even a place for little kids to play if needed. Wonderful!

I have been going to Bills shop since I was a kid when he was in Park Forest. Believe the other posts!! Honest, reasonable price, outstanding service and you can eat off of the floor it is so clean. Its extremely rare for me to rate any business because you usually get what you pay for or less but when I experience a business that is this outstanding I feel they deserve recognition. Not only was the place clean everyone was courteous, friendly and helpful and took care of my car at half the cost of other shops I called. Pulse warned me of a part that is just starting to go bad. I found a new auto repair shop.

Excellent. Diagnosed and repaired an electrical issue on my Pacifica in no time. Another local shop wanted to charge me $1650 for a new PCM..which wasnt even faulty. Go here...
