Drain in my utility room was clogged. Called and was able to schedule a time for them to come the next day which was perfect. James and Brad showed up promptly, and resolved the drain clog quickly and efficiently! They were friendly and professional, cleaned up afterward, and answered all my questions. I will definitely use them again when needed.

BEWARE IF YOU LIKE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I am disappointed to say the least. Their techs are great, but their administrative office is lacking professionalism on a large scale. They have scheduled an appointment with me going on 3 times now and they didnt show up or communicate at all that their staff or others inspecting their work from the city inspection office were not going to make an appearance. They are quick to say it was a communication error, but the resolutions (of not improving their communication methods or training their administrative staff to act in a professional manner) are just unprofessional. After, spending $10K+ (paid in full) I expect better service. I have taken 3 days off work to accommodate their schedule and with no services delivered. Your company is literally taking money away from my family because I am not at work when I am waiting on people to show up. The reason I hired a company to do this was so I would have less hassle, but getting this wrapped up is impossible with their office staff. I never expected an employee to raise their voice at me for their mistake when I was speaking with them in a calm manner.I was raised in a family business you do NOT treat customers this way. Please train your staff, improve your communication methods, and truly take responsibility for your mistakes as a company. You have lost my respect and after this is wrapped up you will be losing my business.

There are a great many things to say about the service I got from Basset this past week and I would like to start from the beginning. I filled out the online appointment form and got an almost immediate reply and an appointment to come look at my furnace. It was a bit chilly and I got a note with a picture of the serviceman that would show up and a note stating when he would be here which is a great innovation.Bobby showed up and went right to work diagnosing the problem and as he was cleaning the sensors we got to talking and I asked what was the usual lifetime on a furnace and he said usually around 15 years but they can last longer with repairs. Our furnace was over 20 years old and since we have been having a lot of trouble with it the last few years I asked about getting a new furnace. We made a deal right after he talked with his boss to make sure they had one that would match the heating requirements of our house and would fit where the old furnace was. He fixed the old furnace and it operated well enough until the new one could be installed early the next week.Lorenzo and Chris came out on a cold and blustery Tuesday morning with the new furnace and after scoping out the old furnace and what they needed to do they began work. They were both very efficient and quick and also very careful to not make a mess which I appreciated and commented on and was told that it was just part of their service. They removed the old furnace and then replaced it with a new one making sure that everything was done perfectly. They then installed CO detectors to meet the current construction code and would have installed a new thermostat as well but I elected to keep my Nest thermostat. They they made a test run of the furnace to make sure everything worked as it should. It worked very well and is super quiet too.The inspection was scheduled for the next day and when the inspector came by I took him to the basement to do his inspection. He was very thorough and commented on the high quality of the work Lorenzo and Chris had done on installing our furnace. He was very favorably impressed by their work and the note they left him to make sure that he knew they had sealed the inside as well as the outside of the furnace. He checked the CO detectors as well.The Duct Cleaning was also just as professional and Brendan even showed up early after calling and asking if he could come by early. He was very thorough and talked me through everything that he was doing so I knew what was being done and how. An outstanding young man who loves what he is doing.Thank you all there at Basset you now have a highly satisfied new customer.

I had an AC leak over the weekend. I did some upfront work myself to unblock a drain but still wanted a professional to check if there were bigger issues. Bassett called me back first thing Monday morning, got me on the schedule that day. Anthony was very professional, didn’t push unnecessary services, made lots of reasonable recommendations and ended up cleaning my evaporator which was in major need of cleaning based on visual inspection. The total cost was reasonable for a visit that took a little over an hour.

I have been using Basset Heating & Air for years to service my HVAC system. After 21 years of use, my water heater went out yesterday. Eric came by later in the day to assess the issue. And of course I needed a new water heater. Eric showed me 3 different options (models) to purchase from. BH scheduled the install for the next morning. Kevin did the installation. He was very professional and knowledgeable and did a clean installation. He reviewed the entire system with me and walked me through making adjustments to the water temperature, water shutoff and restarting the pilot light. I even asked a few questions about our heating system he was able to answer! Both Eric and Kevin made the selection and installation of my new water heater stress free! We called Basset Heating and AC because our AC had not been working and it was 82 degrees in our home. We previously waited about a week and a half for another company to come out but then called Basset and they came out immediately. Jake Harris was our technician and he was so great! He immediately found the problem and was able to walk us through how to keep up with maintenance for our AC unit. He was honest and professional and knew what he was doing. He had our unit up and working immediately which was soooo nice after being without AC for about 2 weeks. Jake made our first experience with Basset so wonderful that we will definitely be repeat customers and will recommend them to everyone! The only thing I’m kicking myself for is not calling Basset Heating and AC sooner. I will from now on always call them anytime I have any issues in my home because I truly do trust them and don’t feel like they just try to make a sale.

If anyone has any problems with their heating or air conditioning I highly recommend calling Basset Heating, Plumbing & Air Conditioning. The other company that came out before them used predatory practices to intimidate me into thinking I needed to spend over $11,000 for a repair that Basset charged $200 for. The technician for Basset even offered to let my neighbors that offered to help me know what was wrong so they could do the repairs to save me money. It should be illegal to include “affordable” in your name if you’re the exact opposite.

Kevin is awesome. Kids, wife, dogs everyone loved his attitude and liked him being here. I loved honest great answers, he gave us options and guidance. It felt like he was here to help, not just make a sale and move on to the next customer. The only thing he wasn’t great at was accepting compliments. He kept giving credit for his response and training back to Basset. Talked about the team at the office, the other techs being just as qualified. He was refreshing to work with and I wish my employees would be more like him. 10 out of 10. I hope my schedule never breaks again. But if it does, call Basset. Ask for Kevin.

We have been dealing with Basset for nearly 15 years and have always found them to be very responsive to our HVAC and plumbing needs. From an early morning call to replace the furnace blower motor in the middle of winter, to replacing a water heater on short notice due to the impending arrival of guests, to resolving a problem with the air conditioning in mid-Summer, they have always been there for us. Service has always been prompt and the price has always been reasonable. Initially it was always Mike (the owner) who responded to all of our calls, but the company has grown significantly since then. Each of the companys technicians has obviously been trained to Mikes exacting standards.Today Kevin came to provide the seasonal checkup and maintenance for our air conditioner. He was very professional and thorough, at the same time being friendly and pleasant. He also provided some teaching points concerning things we can do day-to-day to increase the life of our systems. Our water heater was just fine before it got serviced by one of their technicians and the next day, it just magically broke and no longer producing hot water like seriously?!. After experiencing an emergent leak where water was literally seeping through our walls, and waiting all day for another company to show up (they never did) I called Basset. They literally had a plumber to my house in 15 minutes. So The beginning of summer I had this company come to my home. To clean my ac and furnace. 5 minutes into the job He is saying I need a new ac system and furnace. I told him just to service it and get me an estimate. He didnt want to clean it but he wanted to sell me a all of parts. Anyway he cleaned it. Well after his service my ac started to freeze up. So today I got a new ac guy out and low and behold. He said the service was very poor. He moved some switches and for what I payed was a rip off. Thank God for honest people. My new guy set my dip switches checked earthing tied up wires he left hanging by the furnace wheel that flows air. Because he said if those got cut could of caused a fire. So good luck if you call these guys to your home.

We had several HVAC companies give us a quotes for installing central air conditioning in our home. From my initial contact, Basset was the most professional of the Companies we contacted. From sending a professional appraiser, to ensuring we were notified of who specifically was going to show up, Basset was hands down the best. They ended up being just a little more expensive than other quotes we received, but they convinced me that they were the ones to trust...and was I glad I made the decision to use Basset. The system was installed yesterday, and the day started with courtesy emails and texts letting me know exactly who was gonna be arriving to perform the work. However, the icing on the cake, was the 2 primary installers (Tristan and Brad). At first I was slightly nervous about them being younger, but their professionalism, and their willingness to explain the entire process quickly let me know, I was dealing with a couple of Pros. EVERYTHING went perfect through the entire install, and simply put, Basset is now my business of choice for ALL my HVAC needs, and I STRONGLY recommend them for yours!

Basset Heating & Air have been very good to my family and I. Between maintenance on existing equipment to removing and installing a new furnace with AC add in. Lorenzo was respectful - timely and thorough, My partner and I both work from home and the two days he was here it was as though no one was here. He kept us informed with every step, letting us know about electricians and inspectors who would be arriving as well as ETAs on completion. Of which was done with in the time frame advised. Basset even went the extra mile for us and removed the VERY LARGE OLD SWAMP COOLER that was mounted on our roof. We figured we would have to outsource that but BASSET handled it for us. 2021 started out with a super cold house. After reading reviews we decided to go with Basset Heating and Air due to the excellent reviews given.We called and scheduled an appointment, the tech arrived in a timely fashion. Thomas went to work immediately and found our issue quickly. After adjustments were made out home was warm within 30 minutes! He made recommendations for our system but was not pushy at all! After Thomas hooked me up with all the equipment I want to say two or three days later Anthony Simone came and cleaned my vents. He did a phenomenal job and was able to get everything done before I was even leaving for work! On top of that he even let me look inside the vents before he cleaned them because I was curious about what it looked like before! It was pretty cool to be honest and I couldn’t have gotten a better company to help me with this.On top of all that Lorenzo Colon as well as Eric Campos showed up this morning to start working on the actual installation of the new heating/central AC and humidifier. This company is fantastic! I had two properties to look at for a tune-up and system check. I loved how they sent a text with a picture and short bio of their service rep beforehand.Thomas arrived early and was very thorough in the tune up and explained everything that was going on with the system. The prices were very good and the Basset Club Plan is such a great deal to help save us on parts and labor.The other house had more major concerns. He walked us through all of our options, the reason behind each one, and the reason some parts may cost more than anticipated (its not Basset, but our specific manufacturer that charges a lot for the parts we need.) He was very kind and empathetic and didnt pressure us or bully us into an expensive or a new system. The company gave us time to consider our options and discuss as a family.I could not be more pleased with Basset Heating and would recommend them to anyone!

Our furnace/ heat went out on the coldest day of the year (feel like temperature of -25). Thomas the technician came out earlier than expected and was extremely professional and helpful. Sometimes you dont know where to begin: Initial contact from office was quick, considering the initial issue was reported via their website at 0430-ish on a Saturday morning.The Saturday morning issue, resolved with immediate response for inspection and estimate for repairs/replacements. Technicians arrival times were transmitted via text and email - including photo of technicians - they are COVID respectful. The initial contact was with Kevin (technician) - was polite, professional and down to earth, took photos and explained different solutions to the issue. He provided the professional recommendations, while weighing the repairs and the age of the furnace - while listening to and considering input from us - he didnt seem bothered by the over the shoulder viewing while conducting the inspections. Based on joint decisions, immediately scheduled appointment for replacement of water heater and gas furnace for the following work day (Monday). Technicians Lorenzo (Lead) and Chris arrived on time and began their work on furnace without delays - all happening when the cold-snap and snow moved into the region. The entire process was conducted in a professional manner from start to finish, and without hidden fees. What was expected to be hours upon hours, the removal and installing took only a matter of four (4) hours (furnace) and two (2) hours water heater - including running through preventive checks (both gas and water). Kevin (Lead) and Chris worked the water heater upon completion of the furnace. Remained at residence until the detailed brief of the installations/operations was understood, leaving no questions unanswered. Completely satisfied with products and work.Recommend calling Basset or using their online reporting before any other, or the very least for estimates before having, services, repairs or replacements. Eric and his team did an amazing job, and stayed until they got done, and got our heat on. These guys are awesome, and the only company I would use for HVAC. Highly recommended.Amending to change my rating. We have been stuck in limbo for over a month now trying to get the permit closed. The work is fabulous... having to take off three Fridays in a row to get it finished not so much. The lack of communication is the biggest issue here.

Listen, the company has great customer service. They are honestly some of the nicest people that have done a service in my home. BUT, I had my AC installed LAST YEAR and they still can’t get the permit done because of the lack of communication. Does my AC work, sure but, it shouldn’t take 5 visits to finish the job.I also had them come out not once but twice for my furnace and had to have another company come out and tell me that they didn’t tune it right the first time.All I’m asking is if we pay 5k+ for your services it should be done right the first time. Not take a year plus to finish the job.

Thomas came to service our furnace today. I had a weird issue with it not working quite right yesterday and it was due for a tune up anyway. I always think this stuff is overpriced, but he made it easy to write the check. We had him do the tune up and he recommended we test the combustion and we did. Even though I didnt quite understand everything he was talking about, he explained everything thoroughly. He tweaked a few things and its running amazing now. His professionalism, knowledge, and overall pleasant attitude is top notch. If youre reading this review, I recommend you request him by name.

I found basset heating about half a year ago and so happy I did. They are very open with sharing exactly what is wrong and have given me options and more than anything knowledge behind what I’m putting money into. They have always been on time when I needed my ac, and heater fixed. They have an amazing monthly subscription you guys need to take a look at. The tech who has been to our home, Thomas, is very friendly and is willing to answer any question. He is very efficient. Another thing I love is they always text me with info about who is going to be coming to service our house. Prices are unmatchable and very reasonable. Look no further you found your permanent HVAV company !

Great experience, Anthony Simone did a thorough job, very professional andvery knowledgeable and a really nice guy. Explained how my system works and told me about some of the features I wasnt aware of.

Bobby arrived on time, was very professional, knowledgeable & polite. He knew the problem with my furnace right away. He worked quickly to solve the problem & waited for my furnace to cycle through several times, to make sure it was in good working order. I will be calling Bobby @Basset for any future HVAC needs. Like everyone we got hit bad by this most recent cold snap around Valentines Day. Our furnace had already been struggling since we bought our place a few years ago. When we woke up on Saturday morning and the hot water in our kitchen stopped coming on and the temp was around 40 in our living room. As I struggled to get a fire going in the fireplace my wife got Basset on the phone. They were able to get to us later that evening which was huge as every HVAC tech in town was extremely busy due to the weather. As of the following Tuesday they were able to get us set up with a whole new furnace. Basset was able to do the job for less than the last two estimates we got. They were able to easily get us financing to pay for the whole service on top of everything else. I honestly cannot recommend Basset enough. Give this local company some love.

Our furnace failed on us and we called our home warranty service (homeserv) who sent out Basset. Kevin arrived first thing the next morning and was very thorough and professional, keeping me informed of everything he found and what he was doing in order to ensure the warranty service would have everything they needed to make a decision on coverage etc. We heard back from them shortly after he left and we had a working system the next morning with all new blower, motherboard and other faulty parts. Highly recommend!

My furnace stopped working and I was told by sears that it had to be replaced, that was not the case. Basset was able to repair it. What makes this amazing is they did not try and sell me a new one, even though they were only at my home for an estimate. This company is the one you should use. They have my business from now on. Highly recommend.

The tech came out and tried to charge me $190 dollars for a $12 dollar capacitor and $540 dollars for a $120 dollar fan motor. I went and picked up the parts myself and got another company to install them. I cant see how you try to rip off customers with ether 100% or 400% mark ups... totally uncalled for...

Ive been a customer with Basset for two years. Recently my heat went out and they came out the same day and got it taken care of. I will always recommend them! Very professional, friendly and courteous.

I woke up to a cold house this morning and my furnace was not working at all! They were able to get the part needed and had me up and running the same day! The only HVAC company Ill use or recommend!

Thomas was my technician today - I first got a text letting me know he was on his way (which I found hilarious) and he called as well.He was very professional, well spoken, and was almost immediately able to diagnose my first issue. After he was able to go get the part and come back he discovered a second, much more dangerous issue. That no one else had even noticed.Kudos to Thomas for his quick thinking and can do attitude.

Basset came thru for us after hours. Our water heater went out and I had no clue how to get it back on. Thomas our technician was courteous, professional and answered all of questions. Definitely recommend and will use Basset for any future services.

Bobby from Basset Heating and Air came out same day to check my HVAC system due to the heat not working properly. All in all it was fixed from changing the filter and I still wanted peace of mind having it checked. Bobby was beyond courteous and professional. He answered all my questions (which was a lot) because I had never had it serviced nor know anything about the system. He took sufficient time in showing me how to get the most out of my HVAC and to keep it working properly. I would highly recommend this company and his work. In fact I already made an appointment for another recommendation in duct cleaning. Each team member has their own specialty which I find very useful in order to gain more knowledge myself.Thank you!

The receptionist was very kind and easy to speak with. Bobby the service technician came out the very next day. Not only was he kind, and knowledgeable about my furnace and what I needed, but he was also very respectful about my serious health condition. Without a working immune system I am terrified about Covid and Bobby understood that and made sure I was safe. He also alleviated all of my fears about using my furnace while waiting for a replacement part. He understood I was a worry wart and needed to hear things several times. I will now be a very loyal customer in the future.

Bassett installed our new AC and water heater. Based on that excellent service, we contracted with them for routine maintenance. It was a good choice. They reminded us when it was time for service and performed the service efficiently and professionally, explaining what they were doing and why it was important. Today I had Kevin from Basset Heating come to my house to fix my thermostat and he went above and beyond. Hes clearly very knowledgeable about HVAC and not only did he fix my problem, he also reassured me that my furnace is working correctly and I really appreciated all of his efforts to fix my heating problem. I have used Basset for several years and have been very impressed with their response, honesty, and good advice. Thomas has been out a few times for repair and regular maintenance of my 20 year old furnace and my rooftop evaporative cooler, and I have been so glad that I feel like I can trust his work and recommendations. We had an appointment with Basset Heating and Air Conditioning on October 8, 2020. Our technician was Anthony Simone and he was fantastic, definitely one of the best! He was on time, professional, personable, and did everything he could to make sure the job was complete and satisfactory.We called because we had issues with our dryer vent in our new home, and turns out it was one of the worst they have seen and most likely hadnt been cleaned out in years, if ever. It was so clogged that there was standing water and built up lint in the vent, not to mention the vent had several angles that made it even more difficult to clean out. It took Anthony hours beyond a typical cleaning because of how bad it was, but he didnt stop coming up with new ideas and tricks until he got the job done. He was able to clear the entire vent and our dryer works better than ever. Would 100% recommend Basset Heating and Air Conditioning, and our technician Anthony!

This visit was for a tune-up of the furnace installed by Basset in February. Kevin came earlier than scheduled (nice!), and was able to ensure the furnace was operating as expected for the upcoming winter. Changed the air filter and gave our not yet one year old unit a solid checkup. He even adjusted the water heater (not asked for, but appreciated!), and was able to give an estimate for the air conditioner lineset insulation which needs to be replaced by spring. Quality experience every time.

Thomas was my technician. I had my blower motor and evaporator coil cleaned. All I can say is great service with integrity. Another company tried to quote me the same service for about $2000 more due to my furnace being in a tight location in the crawl space saying they needed to take everything apart and pump down the system. Thomas informed me that none of that was required, and completed the needed service in about 1.5 hrs. I highly recommend using them for your future needs, as I will, because they do quality work without trying to rip off the customer, as was attempted in my situation. Thomas was extremely friendly, and thoroughly explained the answers to the questions I had as well. Once again, I highly recommend them.

Every single tech weve had come out has been super knowledgeable, kind, professional, thorough and detailed. I never feel like theyre trying to get us to pay for unnecessary services or making up problems like another heating/ac company weve had. Basset techs are all able to answer questions in detail and definitely know what theyre talking about. explaining with photos and clear, reasonable recommendations even recommendations on how we can fix small problems ourselves. Kevin was our most recent tech and he was fantastic. We had Thomas prior and he was A+. We trust Basset for sure to take care of us and take care of us well. Highly recommend.

Thomas provided a clear and thorough evaluation of a concern I had with the blower motor. He explained repair alternatives (in this case lack thereof) and included examples demonstrating his considerable knowledge and experience. He explained why an ECM motor was not an option, and completed the OEM motor replacement. He was pleasant, articulate, and I believe is a credit to his profession.

The a/c went out on a very hot day, and Basset was the only company that would answer their phone on a Saturday. Thomas was the technician that came out for the call. Thomas was able to arrive earlier than our scheduled appointment time, and he was very professional and courteous. He walked us through the diagnostic process as well as the repair process. He was able to have the a/c back up and running in less than an hour. This company truly cares about people, and is very cost effective. Highly recommended!
