I have used Pams Motor City a couple of times and remain loyal because I completely trust them. I go in with a list of service and concerns and get honest advise and never feel like I am getting upsold. I know most of my friends say they have been hoodwinked with auto repairs but not at Pams. I can recommend Pablo as a mechanic with 22 years at Pams ...it shows. He is patient and extremely knowledgeable. I am not a mechanic and I respect he is and appreciate his patience when I have a concern. He doesnt talk down to you he gives you his honest assessment. All I need to know when getting my car repaired and maintained. I wholeheartedly believe they are a 5 STAR auto repair center.

Just got installed new convertible top mechanics on my almost vintage garage kept BMW Z4 as well some mechanical needs. Motor City is A+ GEM-MINT-10 when it comes to service and it was a pleasure to do business with. The Staff really took care of me and my “Precious Roadster!” I cannot say how pleased I am. Staff always was in constant contact with updates on progress. MOST importantly, I was NEVER charged with anything I DIDN’T Need. Hands off to the folks at Pams! Will continue to have them to the work on all my vehicles & from past experience it’s tough to find a “trusting” Service.Center.

They were EXCELLENT. Had a small mishap and they were able to get me in quickly, fix the front bumper, and the price was very fair in my opinion.

Overheating problem and I told them I suspected the head gasket. They said they would do a block test. Next day I arrived to the tune of $ 170.00 stating they couldnt perform the block test but they replaced a broken bleeder bolt. I had already replaced the thermostat and cooling sensor and Pep Boys also performed a pressure test the day. before. I know for a fact it wasnt broken. I finally had a head gasket replaced at another shop that performed a carbon test. thumb down!

Fairly new to the area, found this place on Google maps and trusted the reviews. So far it’s been mostly oil changes and basic maintenance, and their prices seem reasonable. I was there yesterday waiting for an oil change and couldn’t help overhearing for another customer... “That rattle was a broken clamp, we replaced it, no charge. We also found a nail in your tire, we fixed it, no charge” ... that’s the kind of stuff you like to hear.

I am new to the area and had a brake noise, one of my co-workers said she had all her work done here and they did a great job. I made an appointment and all it needed was a brake shield adjustment! The owner John gave me a quote upfront and stuck to his price which was 50% cheaper than what Napa Service Center wanted. Also the waiting room is very clean and comfortable!!I would definitely recommend this auto shop to friends and acquaintances.

The work seems OK, but BE WARNED that NO ONE there wears masks. None of the customers in the small waiting area were wearing masks either. This was a bit shocking and upsetting...I almost left! Im not sure I will use them ever again because they were RISKING their customers health by not wearing masks during the pandemic.I also didnt see any cleaning or health precautions being enforced--like hand sanitizer, sanitizing areas of my car after they were in it or cleaning pens, etc. It made me very uneasy.Businesses that deal directly (face-to-face) with customers should wear masks. I dont care what your politics are...you should be protecting the people that keep your business open.I was there for just over an hour and heard one employee coughing and another was sneezing. Pam Team: Just wear a mask and make your customers feel more comfortable. Its not hard! You could be saving a life.

I moved to Fort Myers, Florida in 2012. I had an incident on the interstate after living here for only a month and I literally prayed and asked God to show me where to take my car. He showed me Pams Automotive. Fast forward to 2020, I have had three cars since then and they are the only people who touch my vehicles. They have always been very professional, full of integrity, priced fair and above board. They educate me on my vehicle and make recommendations. Rip off ..needed my serpentine belt replaced and they wanted to charge me $180 for 10 min worth of work. I called a mobile mechanic and he came to my house and fixed in my parking lot for $50..its sick how these mechanics rip people off

Pams Motor City always treats me fairly and are very honest in all their dealings. They do thorough testing and give you options for the job at hand. I have never brought my car back for a repeat problem, although they totally stand behind their work. I dont take my vehicles anywhere else! Ken

Need a HVAC blend door actuator replaced and front disc brakes replaced on my 2014 Impala. They did the work in one day keeping me informed all day.Very reasonable price for the work.I give them an A+ for the work especially the brake job. Called for my Audi A6 for new brakes and oil change on all four tires... was quoted a VERY fair price compared to others and after dropping my car off they called me and said all four did NOT need to be done but only the rear wheels. Great service done quickly! They were ready to get started on my car right away when I arrived for my appointment and finished faster than they had estimated it would take. Once I was leaving it had started to rain pretty hard and they let me drive my car straight out of the garage so I wouldn’t have to get wet. Will definitely be going back next time I need to have work done on my car!

Don’t bring your Classic here! After a month and a half they told me she was ready. Only to find the carburetor hadn’t been tuned properly and none of my tail lights were working. Not to mention the leak in the trunk area that they charged me over $80 to fix is still leaking... They do not verify the work is done properly, they don’t respond to disgruntled emails and they don’t apologize for wasting people’s time or for their mistakes. Lastly, they over charge! The final straw for me was the $185 (NOT including parts) they charged to replace a starter and secure the wires. Two things; One, if a “40 year master mechanic” makes $185 an hour, I chose the wrong profession. Or two, if it takes your 40 year master mechanic more than an hour to replace the starter... get yourself a new mechanic!

I wanted everyone to know that Pams Motor City repaired my 2014 jeep for $200.00 LESS than what I was quoted at Estero Bay Chevy. The employees were kind and considerate compared to the dealership that is convenient to my place of employment. Yes it took a few days to get my part (only 2 and half) but hands down easier on your pocket book and kinder to your face. My jeep runs great!

I am new to the area, my car suddenly started having major problems running. I found them on Google, saw their exceptional reviews, so I gave them a call. I called as soon as they opened, the owner said to come over right away. Everyone was so nice and friendly and I felt very comfortable with them. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Let me first say that I did extensive front end work on my car before taking it to PMC for a four wheel alignment. The mechanic took the time to tell me a couple issues that I knew ahead of time, but I appreciate him explaining it to me anyway. I have a Lexus SC400 and like to do most of the work on the car myself but I can tell this outfit was very professional and they had the latest equipment. I highly recommend Pams Motor City for good work at a fair rate as well. My car drives nice and straight. Thank you!

Took my car there on 9/12/2019 needed two ignition coils/wires numbers 2 and 4 previously they did number 1 and later number 3 on two different occasions I also had it there about a month ago for the alternator back to 9/12/19 repair they really helped me out only charged me for the parts saved me a bunch of money really great shop they go above and beyond

So, I took my 2012 Ford Fusion to Coconut Point Ford. It just reached 79k. The car was under Ford warranty until 75k. Ford look at my car at 75k. No issues. At 79k the AC went out, had a minor oil leak. Ford quoted me 3000!! After looking at the reviews on NextDoor. I got a verbal quote for 1200 from Pams. Wow half off! So, I decided to swing by and have them look at my quote from Ford...need AC in FL. Cant live without it. The quote they gave me 1200 was accurate. They said Ford was over charging and repairing items I did not need. I had my Fusion fixed at Pams over a month ago. It costs me only 1200. No leads, cold AC. Im only going to Pams from now on. I highly recommend them. Honest, professional, accurate, quick turn aound. Where can you find that in an auto mechanic! 5 stars and they will be doing my oil changes too. Thanks Pams!

I had my car towed to Victory layne Chevy dealership. I expected to pay. But they ended up fixing with no charge what Pam’s told me was not their fault. I had my oil changed and they rotated the tires. Then the panel showed my tires didn’t register and poundage just dashes —- They said it’s a fuse or something and would cost me. I use to go to them years ago.

Excellent service and a trustworthy management. I asked for some routine maintenance and was informed at the end I didnt need everything I asked for. My bill was lower than expected... Who does that anymore? Highly recommended, quality service.

These guys are amazing people. I got stuck on the side of the road right next to the shop and I came in and asked for help and a guy came out and helped me get the wheel off and put a new tire on I strongly recommend them.

This is not my first time using this shop, I bring my car here regularly. But after what happened this time, I had to write a review to let others know. They’ve always done an excellent job taking care of my car. Unfortunately, this time they made a mistake that led to some minor damage to my car. Most places would deny their fault or try to do the least that needed to get done to do what’s right at their expense. These guys, though, didn’t just offer to fix the problem, but they paid and covered every extra expense to restore my vehicle. At the end of it all, I walked away with my car as good as new (prior to this incident) and blown away by their great customer service. You guys have a costumer for life!- Julio D.

My second trip to Pams Motor City and I am a customer for life. My Miata MX5 would not start it just died. Had a new battery only a month old so it was something I could not handle myself. I had friends advise me it was my alternator or starter motor and I am looking at a $800-$1100 repair. Got a call a few hours after dropping my car off and was pleasantly surprised to hear it was a minor ignition short and $100 to repair. I wonder how many places would have been so trustworthy. If you ever felt a victim of your own ignorance to auto mechanics I recommend Pams Motor City. They have consistently been honest trustworthy and professional and I appreciate the comfort to know I am in good hands. Had a dead battery when I went out to start my vehicle today. I have AAA, so had them come out to get it started. The driver told me he could put in a new battery for $125. I had also checked the website of Galloway Ford. They had a coupon on there for $99.95. Ive gone to Pams for at least 10+ years and always had pleasant experiences. I was there for approx. 20 minutes, which I was happy about until I got the bill. Would have thought that both AAA and the Ford Dealer would have been the most expensive. I was certainly wrong. $209.40 was the charge, part of which was $49.50 for a 1/2 hour labor, when I was only there for a total of 20 minutes? On top of it all, its only a 24 month battery. Since Pam sold the business, seems like things have definitely gone south. All the years she spent building a superior reputation for quality and quantity, is flying out the door. I will not be back.Must admit, I was a little testy with the gal behind the counter and realize it wasnt her fault. For that, I would like to sincerely apologize to her.I thought I had adjusted my review, back a day or two after the incident. As they said, they did make the deal right and I was completely satisfied with everything. It was a simple mistake by an new employee that had used the wrong code for the battery I purchased. I have been back a couple of times since, and will continue to go back repeatedly as I have for the past 10 years or so, and these people are very sincere and will do what it takes to have a satisfied customer.

Fantastic service! I have a classic 1963 Buick Riviera and I needed some brake work done. I went to Pams Motor City and asked if they worked on classic cars. The receptionist took me through the shop and showed me a couple classic cars getting worked on. Afterwards I talked to owner John Kish on the phone and I felt confident he could do the job I needed, so I brought the car in. John was super nice and very knowledgeable! All work exceeded my expectations! He was able to fix things that could not be replaced (new parts are not available) and now the car stops on a dime. I recommend anyone needing service on any car new or old, to check them out. I will be using them for all my car service from now on.
