Hello everyone. I have an VW 2009 and my touchscreen radio radio unit wasn’t working anymore.It was time for me to change it so I purchased online an aftermarket android unit and looked for places nearby to install it. Went to one place somebody recommended me and they wanted to charge me $400.00 for installing my radio with an appointment in like 2 weeks, and I was like No to much and can’t wait that long. So I started looking for another place I found on Google after first search this shop called SSG audio called spoke with Herman who is actually the owner of the shop he made an appointment the very next day and set a price for $200.00. They not only installed my radio but they also installed a rear camera that came with the unit. Couldn’t be any happier. The job was less than 2 hours the tech was very professional. Tested out everything worked perfectly. After few days I noticed that some of my buttons on my car AC were pushed in and not functioning. I went back talked to Herman and they fix my issue on the spot. Very professional , quick and reasonable price as well. I highly recommend this place and I give 5 stars ⭐️No problems so far. By the way got a warranty for 1 year in case something goes bad . Thank you guys!

This place is great!!! I just moved to the area and needed some lights installed on my new Jeep. My Jeep is my baby and won’t take her just anywhere! I looked at the reviews of many places and knew this place was the right spot. The manager was super friendly and helpful; he went over the entire installation process and asked if I had questions. I did not feel rushed – that is really important to me. Within a couple of hours, I had my Jeep back with the new lights and they looked great. I will definitely return here for future needs!

The service was excellent everything was done on time and I went back for some more warranty and they replaced everything for free great service.

I can translate my visit to this place as something that I thought would take me 2 hours to put the screen on my car, they broke the air and I still cant find the problem, they left the car with electrical failures and they couldnt put the screen on it and they were not responsible of the problem they created and also they charge me for a service that was not performed. I do not recommend this place

My box and installation were both complete days ahead of schedule. My car has never sounded better. I got exactly what I was looking for. I’m 💯 satisfied and Herman took excellent care of me. I’d highly recommend using this business for any audio installation needs.

I just got my subwoofer and tint done on my 2019 Honda Civic here at SSG Car Audio and I must say Im very impressed! Sound is crystal clear and tint looks very professional, would come here again and recommend 10/10! Thank you guys! 😁🤘

Had a phenomenal experience here.Brought my Can Am Ryker in for audio and underglow after being at countless places inquiring.Herman was so helpful and listened to what I wanted and Adrian did the install the same day.Couldn’t be more pleased.

Got both front windows tinted for a decent price. Quality of work and materials looks good.

Disappointed: After searching high and low for a good company to install my system I decided to go with SSG car audio in Ft. Lauderdale, FL swap shop. I was given a morning appointment and met with a young man to go over where I wanted my components to be placed. After meeting with him they took my truck to begin the 2-3 hr estimated process. Mind you my appointment was at 8am and they were on time, 6 hours later I’m still here and the disaster begins...The first thing I noticed as you can see in the attached photos is the tweeter was placed incorrectly, this was supposed to be recessed in the door and much lower than it’s placed. I now have holes in my door panel.After noticing this and speaking to the Owner he stated that if I purchased the door panel from GMC he would install it for free. However, they were the ones who damaged my door panel and did not place my components correctly yet they want me to purchase the material so that they can install what they have damaged. The owner stated he can get me 20% off of the parts, mind you this is the part that they damaged.Secondly, I am not an audio technician nor do I play one on TV but if you look at the video of the fuse box you will notice that there is one screw it is not tighten down and it moves freely.Thirdly, after being there 8 hours he had not even got my amp mounted correctly behind the backseat even though that was in the original quote and 3 hr estimated time frame. He advised he can mount for an additional charge... Another 1hr charge. He offered free of charge to secured to floor. REFUSED.Fourth issue, upon cleaning out my vehicle I noticed a piece under my seat that was broken off by the technician as you will see in the photo. Instead of the technician coming to me and saying that the part broke off he slid it under my car seat and try to hide it from me.Fifth issue, I was riding in the truck and I put my blinker on...if you look in the video and listen my blinker comes through the speaker on the passenger side of the vehicle amplified and only the right speaker even when using left blinker. The seatbelt indicator and door ajar indicators as well come through amplified.Understanding an estimate is just an estimate I would think that being the professional you would know how long certain installs take so that people can plan their days and finances properly.Another concern is that my power wire has no protection and is exposed.Can this be an issue??At the end of the day the owner offered to replace the damage door panel and install but with everything that is happened during the entire process I do not feel comfortable coming back. Free is not always free.I will pay someone else to correct the already paid for install.This review is not to discourage anyone but to just state facts of the issues I faced during my install. Please pay attention and don’t leave your vehicle side. Confirm prices and take pictures and videos.Thanks for the great job.

Excellent service. Bought 4 rims and tires, had problem with 1 rim. SSG drove 600+ miles roundtrip. Ft Lauderdale to Tampa fixed issue at their cost within 2 days of notification. Outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

SSG hooked me up with great audio system and they also tinted my windows + installed LED conversion kit. Their product selection isn’t my favorite but their work is A1, I also came back to get my interior driver side controls panel placed back properly after it came loose. So if they make any mistakes they definitely will set up an appointment and fix it at no cost to you. I’m unsure of why the 1 star commenters experiences were seemingly bad, mine was great and I would recommend. PS: Staff is friendly as long as you respect their work place, but that’s common sense lol.

Great!!! Ive been installing car audio myself for a very long time but couldnt figure out an alternator whine issue for the life of me. The owner himself figured it out in less than an hour, told me to get a DSP and use high inputs rather then low level inputs and just like that COMPLETELY QUIET and sounds phenominal! Great service!!!! I called to install 2x10 subs, custom box, and amp that I had purchased for my truck. Hermman was accommodating for me to make my appointment early in the morning over the weekend with a two day or so notice. His team installed the system in about 2 - 3 hrs. Everything went smoothly. Hermman had informed me the previous owner had a system and apparently left a couple of holes in the back seat 💺. His team fixed those holes and installed the system flawlessly. I did take it back b/c I thought my a/c had stopped working. But, the a/c button was turned off and since I never turn it off. Did not recognize that. So, I went back and Hermmans mechanic simply turned it on, not realizing I just needed to do this! Next Saturday, going to go over and install a train horn I purchased. Same time! Hopefully everything goes smoothly like the first audio system install BIG THANK YOU to Hermman and his installation Team! 🤝🤜🤛Took my truck again this past Saturday May 8th to install my train 🚂 horn! I’m not a person of leaving reviews and I have lots of patience to deal with extra time for fixing issues on my car or things being installed. First of all, the staff was never disrespectful toward me. My issue is with the installment of my car radio on my Fiat 500. On the first day, there was only a small issue with the backup camera after I left the store. I return back and it was fixed. When I was returning to my house I noticed that the dashboard lights weren’t working anymore so I had return the next day. They fix that issue too but during the fixing of that problem they did something to my air conditioner that it doesn’t work now. I’m dealing with this issue now on PepBoys because at this point I’m extremely upset. If a client returns with a complaint, make sure every detail is verify and you don’t end up making more problems for that client. Because of this big problem they ended up causing to my car I do not recommend this store.

Just had speakers installed on my Camry; sound is wonderful! Hernan was very courteous and gave me an overwiew of what the sound system needed and offered options.

I have never wrote a review before EVERRR but this place is the worst place I have ever been to DO NOT GET YOUR SUBWOOFERS INSTALLED HERE. I came to get my subwoofers installed and first of all they told me a different price on the phone then what they told me when I showed up. They put my bass control IN MY COIN CATCHER, WHICH WOULD NEVER STICK AND ALWAYS FALL OFF. My subwoofer stopped working within two weeks Becuz the placement of the knob kept on resulting in my opening and closing on the wire DO NOT GO HERE FOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION.

I Have NEVER left such a detailed review; and to have it be negative I sincerely hope if anyone reads this they stay way from SSG. There is nothing that could be done to fix the time and money I have waisted here minus a refund of services not completed as contracted.I have been going to the Swap Shop for car audio since I was a teenager 20 years ago. I went to Extreme Audio for a decade prior to Ronan selling to Tito’s. Went to Tito’s for awhile but them only accepting cash and a lackluster receipt process made me leave. I am from North Palm Beach and have through the years sent dozens upon dozens of business down to the Swap. Everyone alway’s cautions me on getting high end work here but I always defend the “Swap”’.So, for the past year or so I have been an SSG customer. It started small with them hard-wiring my radar detector and wiring my three amber lights on my grill. I have had 3 system configurations that SSG has installed on my truck as I continuously change what I want from my audio. I have spent somewhere between $1,500-$2,000 on install costs through SSG in the past 4 months. Not including the misdiagnosis that cost me $500 on another Amp. (I always bring my own equipment New).FIRST VISIT** They Installed: 1 DS 18 EXL-SQ1600.1, Pioneer D8604.4, Infinity Kappa 6.5, Infinity Kappa 6x9, Skar Tweeters, Dayton 408 DPS, (4) DS18 Elite 8 SubsSECOND VISIT** Complain Of subwoofers not getting loud enough told that I needed another Amp.Contact DS18 and spoke with an engineer who told me that Amp should easily handle all 4 at 1 Ohm. But whatever, I am trusting SSG so I order (2) Skar RP2000.1 ~$500 to push the 8’s.THIRD VISIT** Installation of the (2) Skar Mono Amp, and to install a center dash speaker.Notice going over humps entire system chips in and out OR if volume is too high system cuts out. Have meeting with a housing development so couldn’t turn around.FOURTH VISIT** Tell them about cutting in and out and to have dynamat installed in all doors. Rear 6.5” speakers sound muddled and tweeters are not workingSystem cuts out on I-95 2 days later.FIFTH AND LAST VISIT** Show video of system not working on way to work. Also pay to have dynamat installed on back wall of truck. We drive around parking lot and issue arises (although not as frequent). All the money I have spent it needs to work 100% not 90%. Was then told they smelled something burning and my less than 1 month old 6x9 Infinity Kappa mysteriously “blew”.. WHAT? Then they try and charge me $400 on a replacement Infinity that was supposedly “way better”.At this point I’m dang near 2 thousand in the hole, tens of hours of time waiting, gas, miles on my truck... Now, my speaker blew while you are testing???? My rears are not even working correctly!I tell them to just put my doors and everything back. I order new Kappa ~$120 replacement and decided to replace the blown on my own. I should of taken a photo of how my wiring was just thrown in there. The speaker wasn’t “blown” on the Kappa there is a little button that needs to be pressed in order to activate that tweeter.I always felt that I was not wanted although the head salesman is a great guy. I would always tell them money wasn’t an issue that I just wanted everything done right. I would tip $50, no less than $20 on each worker of my truck if multiple. I would be quoted say $320 and when I go to pay its $480(this is not an specific amount but my final price was always significantly higher).Now, I am headed to a local shop and will be paying whatever more money that needs to be paid to fix SSG’s mishaps.Everything I wrote is true. I will never get them another Referral and wish you the best of luck if you choose to go here.****EDIT I spoke with the owner Herman and man is his customer service impeccable. I just arrived home from the other shop. There were a ton of corners cut to say the least. He repeatedly apologized and asked for the opportunity to fix the problem! I originally gave them a 1* after my lackluster experience. I have risen them to a 3* pending outcome.

Went in today and received prompt service from Ronald and his team. Everything was explained to me and he made sure I understood what options I had without any pressure. Extremely friendly establishment, from Ronald to the other employees and cashier. Highly recommend! I’m extremely happy with how my tints look and will defiantly come back for any needs and recommend to anyone!

Excellent service!! Went there to get my door speakers replaced and was recommended a better brand. They finish the job in under 40 minutes and my car sounds 10 times better then be original sound system. Honest upfront Business couldn’t ask for a better transaction.

I usually don’t post bad reviews but this one really deserves it:I came to them to install an afordable dashboard equipment with rear view camera for my RAM van; the sale person never explained to me that equipment will not be compatible with my iPhone; stearin controls will not work; odometer number will be blinking and the rear camera is only 130 degrees view; and after all installation completed and me disappointed with the service now they want more money because the iPhone compatible equipment its more expensive ( found better and more affordable options in Amazon )So after expending $600 the installed system its performing worst than what the van came with; and they want me to spend $740 now to fix just the iPhone compatibility when at Best Buy for $850 you get an Alpine top of the line equipment with 170 degree camera and all functionality of your iPhone; stearing controls and all the satisfaction warranty of a legit store; My advice: if want cheap quality and service to save a couple bucks on something you don’t care about much SSG Its the place, but sometimes its worth spending a bit more and you get A LOT MORE for your money; enjoy your investment more and be safer wile driving.(I have to say that Juan the manager was trying to help, but tGerman the Owner not; and the salesman was the worst, like those car dealers “shark” salesman with no good honest advice and service)

The people at the location somewhat know what theyre doing. But I would not recommend going to a swap shop area where they are located. Theyre extremely rude and if you have an issue they try to charge you to come back. Use your money wisely somewhere else where they appreciate you. The owner of this location is very nice and is trying his best to accommodate me. But you should go somewhere else not only because of location but for the quality of work. My wiring melted in my care due to this location. I would highly recommend another audio location to get sound system fixed or put into you car or truck.

Literally kept the receipt in my owner manual for years!!! My tint started bubbling and the receipt says 5 year warranty. His employee wrote a 5 over a 3 so when I tried to claim the warranty, he accused me of doing it. How would I even know how far the warranty extends if it’s not even in the fine print!!! MAKE SURE IF THEY MAKE ANY MISTAKE ON YOUR RECEIPT MAKE THEM CORRECT IT THEN AND THERE!!! For all I know your employee did it on purpose. If you like companies that honor warranties... don’t trust them

They might know how to wire but not produce knowledge. Sold me faulty subwoofers then till me all sales are final.

John gave me a good education about how he can help me get my sons car taken care of and we developed a 2 part process so I do not have to spend a whole bunch of money all at once. They are honest and they know what they are doing. A pleasure to work with.

If I could give negative stars I would. Was told 2 hours and 20 minutes for 4 windows tinted because there were 2 cars ahead of me. The owners friend shows up and started on his car before mine. I asked John how come they are going before me and he said “it’s the owners friend who refers people here so you know he will go first but you can talk to the owner if you want. “ I let it go but became impatient 3 and 1/2 hours go by the John asked me to pay the bill before they are done because the swap shop is closing. I pay without a problem. At this point the only guy working on my car stops to work on the friends car and leaves mine alone. When I asked John if my car is done because nobody is working on it he said “it’s not done but you can leave if you want you already paid” very rudely. I asked for the manager/owner and he said he’s not here I will call him. Within 30 seconds of him not trying to call or give me the number the owner comes around the corner and we have to flag him down because John wasn’t being helpful. Everything was explained to the owner even that he put his friends first which didn’t seem to bother him. Owner went to my car and inspected the job. He comes back and says “the windows aren’t up to my standards so I have options of leaving with 50$ off, redo my windows which will take another 20 minutes(took 55minutes) , or money back and I leave without tints. I tried to give them a break and let them redo them. When my car is finally done @7:13pm he tells me there are some bubbles and dirt under the window that is minimal and if I come back another day I can get them redone. I don’t want to spend another 5 hours for tinting and have the possibility of people cutting in front of me. My co workers came so 3 cars total and the first two were done within 45 minutes to an hour each tops.Do not recommend anyone to go there.

Very happy customer here. I took my truck to SSG to do few upgrades on my truck and I have to say, I was very impress with the work they did. They helped me with all the concerns I had, they were very accommodating and professional. If you want ANYTHING done to your vehicle, this is the place. The technicians really know what theyre doing, fast and they walk you thru the installation A+.Ask for John, awesome guy!

Today I called up SSG and asked about installing an amp and kicker box in my Mustang. They told me the price which was more than reasonable and the service and professionalism was excellent. Obviously I had them do the work. The prices were so affordable I was even able to get my windows tinted at the same time. I would recommend SSG. Dont let them being located at the Swap Shop an issue - Awesome place! Any questions let me know.

We came in for installation for a sound system. Unfortunately, we were introduce to John who has no knowledge of what he is doing. We advise him that the stereo is manufacture. He indicated that it should be fine. If we are not happy, we can have a refund at no cost. He did not state that labor is non-refundable. So, we waited an hr and come back.We came back to a sound system sounding the same. We told john, and he stated that it is the manufacture stereo. Yet, he initially advise us that it wouldn’t be problem. After being told wrong. He left with no dignity to face us. Supposedly, he has family issues he needed to face, but he actually was in the back. We saw him coming back so many times. If we wouldn’t be able to get a refund. We wouldn’t have gone to the instant of bringing the system to be install.Moving Forward, He had to switch us to someone else. Yes, Mr. H.M was able to find the problem because our speakers were mess up. I appreciated it, but honestly why did we have to pay labor cost if your advocate have no knowledge of what he is doing? Maybe give him a hand-book , so he can be better prepared and advise customers. At least, the customers know what they are dealing with?My main issue is that Mr. John did not even go to instant of trying to look into why the sound isn’t working. Then has the audacity to ask, pay me bro. I did the job, but yet the sound of the music sounded the same? This is why we came to your establishment to be able to hear a louder sound with our system. Why pay for a bad job that is done unfinished .I apologize for my attitude, but in the end of the day. I just want people to understand that money isn’t given easily. I know I came out strong, but your worker just walked out on us. In my perspective , to me personally I find that disrespectful. Mr. John left us hanging without evening offering to ask. Hey, let’s get to the bottom of this like Mr. H.M. My significant other works day and night in the hot temperature outside. It does bother me when people don’t take inconsideration how hard money takes to make. At least please help Mr.John become a better knowledgeable worker, thank you. So we could have prevented this from happening. He could have Advise us the “non-refundable labor” and we have not took the extra step of dealing with this ordeal. That is what I would advise to your establishment is to train your worker. Good day!

They put in a old touch screen radio for me and it didn’t work at all. Went back the next day to get it fixed just to be told I would have to wait till Monday because they were busy. In my opinion this is very unprofessional to leave a client with a bad job radio for an entire weekend I had no radio. Beware if you come here.

Great price and great service, don’t let the swap shop environment fool you, these guys do quality work at a great price. Installed 4 kicker speakers and two 12” kicker subs. I was walked through the process step by step with no pressure. I will be back for my head unit to be installed next week. I’d highly recommend them to anybody.
