Wanted to commend George and the front desk ladies for their kindness and patience. We had arranged child care so we could go in to do our taxes and with very short notice our sitter cancelled. H&R said that people brought their kids often and it would be alright. I dont know many people who enjoy having a busy two year old run around their office for an hour, but it meant a lot to us that they showed understanding during a busy time for them. Thank you, we will definitely return!

Ive been going to the Forest Lake H&R Block for many years, and had okay experiences. But since Ive started working with Victoria W, it has all been FANTASTIC. She gets customer service, how to explain complex regulations, and I feel like we are working together.Seems like the owner could invest a bit more in the office itself and ensure all workstations are updated at the same time, but Victoria makes it a great experience.

I file as single, I had 2 jobs in 2018 and I also drove for Lyft. I also had 2 places where I rented and paid student loans. They wanted me to pay $274.00!!!! WHAT?! NO WAY I paid that. It is completely asinine they would expect someone to pay that for fairly simple taxes. The man that helped me was very nice, however didnt seem very comfortable or familiar with the system. I appreciate him taking the time to go through this with me, however, that price is what made my jaw drop. Unbelievable H&R Block. You can do better!

I first felt like they just wanted to get my taxes over with. They tried to convince me my conversion IRA was a rollover IRA and should not be taxed. They admittedly were probably trying to helpful, but either they did not understand IRAs or if they did understand (which I would expect an accountant doing my taxes to know!) it would have been fraud.

The experience is always very pleasant. I could do my own taxes due to them being very simple but H&R Block gives me the added security I need.

Horrible experience today on the phone!! Do not ever try to get help from Tom. He wanted me and my family to be scheduled with him only. We need help with the mistake that was filed by H & R block in 2014. Nobody followed up on us to help. We have been there maybe five times this past year and still no follow up. I called today and spoke with Tom. He had a very rude tone in his voice and only wanted me to be scheduled with him and said that he was the one who I really needed. He claimed to have scheduled an appointment without asking for my contact information or even asked for my full name and hung up on me. I called and asked why he didnt ask for my full name and contact information and he said, I just put a generic erika in the system and then he hung up again. I called the third time as to why he kept on hanging up then hung up again. I called again and he hung up again. The last time I asked if he could give me H & R block customer service line, he said hell report me to the police for harassment? I have not said anything rude to him or never sworn. I am a customer of 7 years who is shocked by his customer service. He must have been having a rough morning. Its very frustrating! Dont ever see Tom. Wow.

Fantastic experience! (Picture Ben Afflecks The Accountant movie scene regarding a home office deduction...) I left relieved and totally confident that Tom got us the maximum deductions for filing jointly with self-employment. I had tried H&R Block in Vadnais Heights the 2 years prior, and both my returns had errors. Tom explained how the corporate and franchise offices were different. His attention to detail was excellent, and he noticed money-saving things the other office never did (...that I always hoped they would have.) I debated doing taxes on my own this year; he made it worth my while to have a professional handle my Schedule C. With appropriate deductions applied, my business taxes were almost $8K less than I had projected. Very satisfied! I highly recommend Tom for small business owners or consultants working from home.

I went in and filed my taxes in Early February. I saw Mitch and he was nice. However, I felt like he was rushing me and even though I insisted he entered a certain form I brought with me he said no “I’ll just put it in your file in case they come looking for it”. I insisted again and he refused. Well now here I am in late March with no return because sure enough the irs needed that ONE form entered. It literally would have taken him 3 minutes. So now I can’t afford my insulin because I have to wait for my return. So thanks H&R Block Forest Lake (Mitch Shawh).On the other hand, Tom was super helpful and wanted to do everything right when I went back to file the proper paperwork. Thank you Tom!

The tax guy I had was a total jerk and all but accused me of lying to him about owning my home and filing with my children. I was asked same question 20+ times by this guy insinuating I was not being truthful. Just felt terrible after I left. Along with overcharging customers. Ill never use H&R block again. Ive never had these issues before I guess Ill be going to Jackson Hewitt from here on out

Not punctual with appointment waited over a half hour to be seen buy a tax preparer that wasnt the person that I was supposed to be seeing . On time is important to me . stop advertising things that your offices cant deliver because of the incompetence of the people that are hired.
