Heres a little update. You tell a lifeguard you have a swimming pass and they deny you swimming when the pool isnt really full, so you try to ask them, they start walking away for you not believing you have a reservation, since the front desk failed to mention that. It shows this Christian Organization is about the money more than the people.Been there before a long time ago, but recently did the BUDDY membership, and Eva has been very helpful and informative.

The fitness room is extremely warm unlike the other facilities. They still have every other machine blocked off and other fitness clubs have all their machines accessible now. Appointments are necessary for swimming and they limit attendance to few people. I wish this YMCA would acquaint themselves with their competitors. Then they could make changes and attract clients.

Had my membership for going on 2-3 weeks I believe now and my family enjoy it a lot. Machines are always available, everyone very friendly and helpful. Definitely glad I got a membership here. Definitely worth it.

Super friendly staff. Clean building. Great facility for me and the kids. Normally visit twice a week for swimming. The new Reservation system works great to ensure space in the pool area.

I am a 20 year old guy trying to get skinny, for reference I am around 350 pounds. I finally worked up the courage to go to the gym. I was already sweating bullets when I see a worker bust out laughing at me. Right then and there I couldn’t take it. I rushed out of the place and I don’t know if I want to go there again.

Everything was good but their was a karen i was in the hall way and she said get off youre phone i said okay because i didnt want to be mean and i stubd my toe one the floor of the pool

Awesome gym! New, state-of-the-art equipment. Large variety of classes for all age groups. Very clean, and well maintained. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, and theyre the reason I keep coming back.

The Y is a great place for an early morning swim and a quick sprint around the indoor track. Its lightly populated and socially distanced just the right amount for a good workout to begin the day right.

Good places for gym and exercise equipment. A little smaller than other locations I have visited. Seems to have a community program for local residents to come and use the basketball courts for free? Not sure. Good place to exercise in winter. And we have long ones here

I love having a membership with the YMCA. The staff at the Forest Lake Y always greets me by my first name. They are very welcoming. I think it’s important to know your customers names. The environment is always kept clean.

The past 3 years have not been kind to me so I have been trying to be kind to it. Here at the Y they keep the machines up and running with great interaction using your phone or just ear buds connected to the equipment. The staff is extremely well trained, pleasent, kind, understanding, helpful. If you need to make a plan to lose 5 to 305 pounds or to add muscle mass they are there to help. I cant be the only person to give outstanding reviews on this place so come on in for a month and then do one yourself.

My wife and I were in looking at pontoons for over an hour and no one came to talk to us.

One of the best Ys around. Very clean, full and friendly staff. Amazing child watch area included with membership with inside play place, toy room and outdoor playground. Great splash pad and pool area. All the workout equipment is pretty new and in great shape.

Fun spot

The gym is a great place to put in a good work out. The staff is very helpful and always ready to teach you new skills. The pool is a little small and the locker room is a little messy, but the environment is amazing and the gym is a great for running and lifting weights. The basketball court is a fun place to hang with friends.

This is the best place in town to go and have a great work out. Theres a pool for you and the kids with a fantastic hot tub and sauna. The pools are usually very clean and the lane look has its own section. The lifting area has a good selection of weights and machines to use. Bring some friends and the basketball courts are also very fun.

They have a pool with current for working out in. Very friendly staff and members. They have an outdoor splash area for kids in the warm weather and a large slide for inside. Very nice YMCA

This place was not built to match the amount of families in the Forest Lake area with small children. Not enough family locker rooms, yet huge men and women lockers. When you get to the pool, you usually have minimal area to swim because everything is roped off for swim lessons. On a positive note, most of the employees are very friendly and helpful. The gym is also large with enough equipment

Great place for literally anybody. They have child care which does an amazing job, classes for all ages in workout rooms, swimming exercise classes for old and young alike, lap swim, pool, sauna, hot tub, family dressing rooms, gymnasium, running track, TONS of machines and free weights and much more!!!! I absolutely love this place and will continue my membership here for a very long time.

This is a well run facility and is properly maintained.

Great family place. Lots of programs for the kids that are very affordable. Great fitness area for the adults. They also offer tons of fitness classes of all varieties throughout the day. Also has a free 2 hour daycare so you can get in your workout. Great place for birthday parties too.

I love this place! The staff is great, the facility is clean, they work hard at keeping it nice! I would recommend to anyone. It’s really busy sometimes but that’s to be expected. It’s worth the investment, In my opinion. 😊

Nice Large facility. Lots of cheap Nutrition classes. Plenty of free group exercise classes.But the pool area sucks! There is no Lifeguard supervision of the Vortex area in the pool. There is no possible way to use this area for laps or exercise without a million children and their parents chasing them through it. I don’t think this area was built for children. If they are unsupervised, they could easily be pulled under the current and drowned. Then you have the water slide which kids need to be banded according to their skill level, but some the Lifeguards pick and choose who can or cant go on it. VERY UNFAIR.Finally... there are not enough space for exercising in a deep water area without getting stuck in a lap lane. I sure hope they plan a future outside pool area for the summer.

Great pool area and outdoor spray park. Beautiful green scenery. Lots of green space surrounding the outdoor spray park. Area to sit in the shade or sun. Fun water slides. My sons favorite YMCA pool.

EXTREMELY nice childrens area in the pool! 4 year old is HOOKED on the Vortex!Sauna doesnt get to hot, buy jacuzzi is !huge!Costumer service? FANTASTIC!!!Word of advice? Should clean bathroom floors MUCH more regularly, with as much as we pay for cleanliness🥰 ...just saying🤷🏽‍♂️

Clean facility, works really well for our family. Wife and I can drop off the kids for two hours and work out. When we are done we go to the pool as a family and have a great time!

I had so much fun with my family, its the best YMCA Ive been to yet!! Nice kids area, very relaxing hot tub, but the jets can be stronger. However, think the whole experience made up for the low powered jets. Oh, and did I mention the great service! We WILL be coming back again :)

I love the YMCA, the staff at this location are super friendly and nice. They are very informative and on top of things. My only down fall is, the womens locker room. There is no flooring in the changing area and it still needs to be redone. It has been taking an extremely long time to get done. But, Everything else is great.

Nice and clean facility. However, started out with a BUMP when entering with my out of state card. Cranky woman was dismissive and unhelpful.Fortunately, another very friendly front desk employee took charge and admitted me. 😃Finally, GREAT Silver Sneakers class with Alex (Alexa?) Good workout with options to pick ones own level.

Although I feel this is a nice facility and some staff are very attentive, I have to say that trying to get your membership together has been a issue with the membership office they continue to state they will call back same day well it’s been a week I’ve called twice now and both times first say they have my paperwork then come back saying they can’t seem to find it that they will track it down unfortunately here I sit calling again today with answer oh well I’ll have to track it down I will call you back today mins you that was at 8am today it is now 2:30 pm . I think there is a problem with membership staffing. Not happy with this issue.

For a new Ymca, I was expecting more weights and weight lifting equipment.

Serves its purpose as a family gym in the area. Amenities arent on par with the Life Time but the price is right. Small space over all but the pool and outdoor water options are a plus in the summer. Tons of Cardio equipment. a little lacking in the strength options.

I have to re-edit this. I cant let my personal feelings topple over the convenience and good that comes out of having this place in the community. Im still scoring it low for certain individual staff but its a great place to bring the family.

Its the Y. Some classes ate better than others but I dont ouke the fact that they some have earlier. Strength classes or core earlierSome of us have jobs ya know and dont have time after work.

This place is a joke! No one ever answer the phone for the aquatic center it takes almost a week for then to return your call! When you finally get to talk to anyone they hang up on you if they do not know the answer to your question. Absolutely ridiculous you pay all this money and you can’t even get good customer service

Love the chair yoga classes. Staff is helpful when we have questions about how to use the machines. Have met a lot of nice people.

This place is great. Every worker weve met has been over-the-top helpful, the facilities are very nice and its really not that expensive when you consider all the things you get with your membership.

Fabulous facility. Vortex pool not as powerful as River Valley and Southdale. Good machine and free weight area. Popular pickle ball scene. Splash pad during the summer. Friendly staff.

Great brand new facility, staff is courteous and friendly. The location is a bit off the beaten path. The swimming lessons/instructors are wonderful! Gave it 4 instead of 5 because at times the family locker rooms and womens locker rooms could be a little cleaner and some of the exercise units in the fitness center have glitches that havent seemed to be fixed yet.

Clean & large YMCA. I love this addition to Forest lake. Friendly staff. Always busy when I go. Dan was friendly on helping my family sign up.

Nice pool for children with little water flow

Been wanting a membership here for awhile, and I went in last week and they were very helpful and even gave me a tour. Needless to say, I got a membership on the spot. Awesome place! Excited to be able to go here!

They offer so many different activities for all groups which is awesome. Just wish the floors in the locker rooms were a bit cleaner. Always wet and dirty.

As a stay at home mom of three I love the idea of being able to work out and at the same time providing my kids time to interact with other kids in the daycare. But after a few months I have realized that the daycare is not good! It is way to overcrowd my 12 1/2 month old is stuck in the small cramped infant area with no toys. I keep telling them that he can walk and talk and handle his own but they say the toddler area is to busy. So he just cries in the infant area until they page me. THEY NEED TO EXPAND THE DAYCARE AREA

I will never rejoin YMCA I cancelled my membership back 3 months ago and there still taking money.I called last mouth they said there take care of it and mail me out a check instead they take more money.GrrrrrrrrrrrThis here is why I hate automatic payment.This why the want it so they screw you over a couple of months and make interest on you.You think when they finely figure how to do there job they will pay me back with interest I THINK NOT.

Very disappointed in the Y. I was told I could suspend my memerbership for at anytime and told them I would be doing that for June and July but when I called they said I had to come in to do that. I said I would come as soon as I had a chance, then when I went, they said I had to pay for june anyway or it would go to collections. It s inconvenient in the first place to drive there just to suspend your membership. I just started going there a few months ago and am cancelling completely now.

The equipment is new and the exercise areas are clean. There is always plenty of help if you need it. I enjoy the virtual active screens on the treadmills.

Too much money for a large family.

Large, clean, family friendly facility. Lots of happy and smiling faces working to help out with anything that is needed.

I loved it. Its an excellent place to work out any season of the year.

Cost is more than a gym membership at a local competitor, The Ymca can get very busy and feel a little crowded, the gym area can feel short staffed at times. However, people come in with smiles and they leave with smiles. Watching kids, including my own, run up to the front doors with ear to ear grins, being able to socialize with others in our community as we better ourselves through physical activity is irreplaceble.

Very professional and personable staff. The building itself is marvelous and kept in very nice shape.

Love they have a daycare for my child so I can workout!
