It is my opinion that the owners only care about their own liability and money. On the seventh day I fell on ice in their parking lot and broke my back. I wanted a refund. Nope. I was offered that I could go back with dr note. Months later I returned with a doctor note and note from PT but only under the restriction of no kicking. Ok, so I won’t kick. I did not care about the contest. They did not ask for a doctor note when I initially joined. I doubt they asked anyone who ever had a back injury to go away if they could not kick. Nope. I was turned away AND they refused to refund fees. So I guess I paid oh about $500 for 7 sessions. I would give zero star if I could.edit: they responded that they invited me back in April of 2017 and that I declined. That is simply NOT true. As noted above, I showed up in April of 2017 with 2 letters (as they instructed me to do to come back) and I was literally left in the lobby while they evaluated my letters for about 10 minutes came out and told me I could not join because I could not kick so I left. Now they are just making it up. See first sentenceof my review.

**Worst Farrell’s Location** I am a long time FIT member of Farrels in another state (4 years active) attended approximately 900 classes. I travel often for work, so I visit other Farrell’s gyms in my area of travel, I have visited roughly 9 different locations in 5 states. This location was by far the WORST.The gym area was dirty and unkept. The instructors at 3 separate classes I attended were the worst I’d ever experienced.... by far (and I was told after one class one of them was the owner) so it was then clear why the rest were terrible. In kickboxing the instructor could barely be heard on the microphone, no motivation, she couldn’t keep a beat during the warmup at all, looked confusingly at the workout paper as if she had no idea what she was teaching (and she didn’t) the sets were so poorly written and as such poorly executed, there were so many different combinations that didn’t make sense that I’m certain I got a better workout just waking in from my rental car instead of standing around wondering what the heck the instructor just said to do. One instructor during a kickboxing warmup kept saying straight out from your cheeks but was punching out from her chest. So WHICH IS IT LADY??I’m not sure how each gym works but if these instructors wrote their own workouts they’re not be reviewed by management or ownership, of they don’t start checking them your instructors are gonna run your business in to the ground. The workouts go against the important teachings of all other locations I’ve visited, which is don’t over confuse members with complicated sets, work muscle groups according to the franchise format in a specific way to avoid injury (lawsuit waiting to happen) let me not forget to mention the counting in a strength training class, I had no idea which end was up (literally) some counts were at the top, some the bottom, some the middle of the exercise. The only thing sore after my workouts here was my brain from having to think so much about what I was doing. I chose this workout routine so I didn’t have to think so much, I can come in have someone tell me what to do and then I leave. If it’s management or owners writing the workouts, that’s even worse. It would seem they have no idea what they’re doing.I overheard the owner express to a member that she believes she has the best instructors of Farrell’s. Hah. Hahaha. Hahahaha — Where was she hiding them? The owner then continued to argue with the member that her complaints were merritkess and not worth looking into further. Maybe you should listen, Miss Owner, your Member had valid complaimts. You don’t just own the business, you own the experiences the members have while attending your business, good or bad and you should own up to your short comings, as I’m sure they are many, and fixthe issues. My 3 1/2 year old could teach a class better than these clowns. It’s important for me to share that an instructor by the name of Jenny(?) was telling members that another member had typed a complaint letter and stuck it in their complaint jar... what does that tell you? That your members don’t trust you, they don’t trust that they can come to you with important feedback or that you’ll do anything about it if they do. Classic case of an owner with her head in the sand. Holier-than-thou.My workout clothes were filthy after laying on the ground for leg lifts. I was covered in dust and particles. There were several dust bunnies and lots of hair floating all over the mat. The paper towel dispenser was empty so I couldn’t properly sanitize my workout area after class.Does anyone at a corporate level supervise these locations? Is anyone holding them accountable? Is there any way to write a formal complaint to corporate to have this location evaluated? In my opinion - This location gives the entire Farrell’s program a bad name.Positives. This gym was bigger than any other I’d visited. The other members seemed welcoming and friendly, although just as confused during the workout as I was.
