Folsom Life Time fitness has been very helpful to us. The facilities are fabulous and everyone is really friendly (even in COVID). There is a strong personal training staff but with significant turn-over. The current trainers have been very good and worth the significant $$. As a result, we are training in a much different way with a better understanding of everything. The missing star is due to the p/t session tracking limitations -- its very confusing to follow how many sessions you have purchased and how they are consumed.

I absolutely love this resort so much. The representatives are kind and professional and helpful. I never wanna leave Lifetime when I go. I mostly go for a swim in the pools and jacuzzis. The gym floor is awesome and has so much for us to do. Pricey but worth it.

Reception walked away , to go on break while in the middle of working to provide me an appointment. Received a call I am no longer welcome and called me a bully. I am not, this kind of person what so ever. Being in salon industry for user 30 years. I know what good customer service is. TY

We hadnt been to yoga since February (due to Covid). But now that Lifetime offers weight training, spin and group exercise classes in their outdoor tents, we are enjoying yoga with their amazing instructors once again. They have state-of-the-art temperature readers and require mask use while indoors. I feel very safe there and am happy to be practicing yoga again!

I got a missed call from this location and i figured i call back. I spoke to some lady at the front desk letting her know that i missed a call from here. Granted i am using a smartphone so dialing the number isnt required. She told me i had the wrong number, and was adamant i was wrong. I get that this location is located in a very snobby location in California, but please make sure your workers act their salary. Only reason why i called back is to sign up for membership. Ill take my business back to 24 hour fitness.

Very dissapointed in how this place is run. My mother and I have signed paperwork mutliple times for my daughter to go into the gym with my mom (grandma). My mother packed up my brothers and my daughter to go to the gym today, while I am on vacation, and my family got turned away again. My mom was told the paperwork expired 3 months ago! That was the first paperwork they had us sign originally, and it was the wrong form. We had to come back in again and sign the correct form a couple weeks later because the gym had given us the wrong forms originally. The gym staff lost updated paperwork that my mom and I both signed to bring my daughter in.Now my mother and child gets turned away again over the original incorrect paperwork and couldnt find the second form we signed. Very disappointed in the management and inconsistencies of this gym. In addition the pool rules to remove children from the pool every hour is ridiculous. We will not be back.

Chose to get my family signed up this week after hearing about the swimming and children’s programs from an existing member. It needs to be mentioned that the quality of customer service is top of the line. Our trainer Christian has displayed the utmost professionalism with a terrific personality and we are absolutely sure that we’ve made a great decision only one week in to our membership. The value provided by the facilities and staff substantially outweigh the costs which are quite affordable.

Great club Ive been a member since they opened the location in Roseville then we moved to Folsom. Theyre trying hard to accommodate state regs by opening just the outside, and have equipment set out on the tennis courts under waterproof tenting. Things would be a lot more comfortable if everyone wore masks, but they are not. I guess since its outside, however its not open air, it is an enclosed setting so I dont know why masking is not being enforced. Not.comfortable going back until I get vaccinated!

I really like almost everything about this place. The locker rooms seem clean. I can’t comment on the weight room area because I use it almost exclusively for the lap pool. I haven’t had an issue getting a lane to swim in. I think there is 8 or 9 indoor lanes and 4 outdoor.

Absolutely disgusting. Do not go to this gym. This place is the exact reason there is a pandemic. Either wear a mask or wash down your equipment. On the brink of another pandemic and this place has no staff cleaning anything either. Nice club but very expensive and very crowded. It is very corporate so be careful to read all the fine print in your contract. Our family membership was on hold due to covid. We ultimately decided to cancel. They wait 30 days to actually cancel your membership so if your hold expires in less than 30 days from when you sign the actual cancelation paperwork than Lifetime will charge you pro-rated for the difference. That was conveniently not mentioned on the multiple calls we had with Lifetime sales people regarding membership hold versus cancellation and covid.

They refused to stop charging me. I signed up for a month introductory trial membership. $1500 later, 1 year of fighting, i had to have my bank get involved. I admit I might have not understood entirely how to cancel my membership, but when you ask the front desk to cancel, you call and cancel, you call monthly to contest the charge, you change your card to avoid the charges, you get your bank involved and they issue a cease and desist for 3 months straight... you just wonder what else they consider normal business practice.I do not recommend this gym, at least from my personal experiences with their staff. I would warn people away based on their ethics. I would never go back based on their value.

The way this place treats women is disrespectful and sickening. My wife, an amazing mother of 3 beautiful children, recently went in due to a clerical error they had made on our account. They dismissed and ignored her to the point that she asked me to call them in hopes they would listen to me as they made her feel like women’s suffrage never happened. I wish I could give zero stars. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your fitness needs, this corporate nightmare in Folsom is being run by some really nasty men.

Very crowded, way too many people. Sometimes takes 30 minutes or more to find parking. Ive seen people parking at Green Acres and walking up the huge hill due to lack of parking. A parking garage would fix that issue. Constantly waiting in lines for equipment, 25+ minutes per workout waiting due to lack of equipment. So be prepared to spend 3 hours for a 45 minute workout, and thats during the dead times between noon and 2pm. You dont want to know how crazy it gets after people get off work. Lines to be able to get into your locker if you can find an empty one, lines to get into steam room/sauna, jacuzzi ect. Not enough weights or benches for the amount of members that lift weights. Meanwhile, cardio machines make up the majority of the gym and theyre always 90% empty. Just too many people. Ive found blood on several towels in the clean towels and told them about it several times over months. Placed a towel to sit in the steam room and it was completely black after setting it down, another member was there when it happened. They dont clean anything at all. They had 40+ lockers broken into a few months ago in the mens locker room and never told anyone, mirrors broken for 4 months as well. 3+ people per lane in lap pools because there is not enough space. If you complain, theyll reply back and tell you to swing by the front desk if you want to cancel your membership and that they arent going to fix anything or add anything more equipment because theres no money in the budget. Thats what their response was to me from club management. What kind of customer service is that? Currently looking for a new gym because theyll just take a your money and keep adding members even though its already beyond max capacity and ignore several members complaints once they have your money. One of the most poorly maintained gyms Ive ever been to. Ive been to gyms literally all over the world, Asia, Europe ect. and I tell everyone I know about how terrible this gym is and to never join. Look somewhere else!

If you cant find the right stuff to use at this place, then you have issues. I spoke to a trainer/mngr and was told they will adjust to our needs. The place can get busy depending when you workout. Not my cup of tea.Signed up for the “free pass” that they advertise so thoroughly and took my retired friend here to see if she might want to become a member. We went on Memorial Day and the place was packed. We got a tour of the gym from Desiree Alferes, the account manager, who seemed nice enough at the time, despite having to smell her lack of hygiene unmistakably coming from her rear (so embarrassing) during the tour. The yoga room was overcrowded and smelled like feet, and during the hour class we only went from seated to laying on our backs (and repeat). As we were leaving, I got a hard no on the review from my friend, and I was feeling the same way. I instantly started receiving unauthorized promotional emails, of which I unsubscribed from (no big deal, right?)To my surprise, I received a very aggressive email from Desiree Alferes. See below.“Hi NikkiI am a little confused as to why you blocked our emails. You reached out to us to come use the club. You came in, and I went to call and was declined, then our company email came back. Why did you come to the club if you were going to not at least follow up with me in regards to your interest.I have removed you as you clearly are not interested but it would have been appreciated yesterday when I spent an hour showing you around to simply tell me you were not interested. In the future it is $40.00 for a day pass”Expectations of follow-up or loyalty were not discussed during “sign up”. To be honest I just told the lady what day I wanted to check out the club. What a huge misunderstanding, apparently.I’ve never been told off by a manager as my follow up email to an establishment. I’m pretty shocked that this type of behavior and unprofessionalism is representing this business.I wouldn’t have taken the whole “free” scheme had I known I would be treated this way, and honestly I’m pretty embarrassed that this was my friends first impression of what a gym and a yoga class was all about.Hopefully communication of expectations, etiquette of follow up emails, and professionalism of management can be improved in the future. I won’t be returning, obviously.

P-R-E-T-E-N-C-I-O-U-S!! We had a rec league swim meet there. As the away team, we were treated like 2nd class citizens. We were set up outside of the pool area on the asphalt driveway on a 100+ degree day. We could not hear the events called. Kids couldnt hear the starter. The starting blocks are too high. They didnt have touch pads. The pool wasnt heated at all. The swimmers werent allowed to warm up or cool down for events. We had a lengthy received legnthy email with a list of rules before we arrived about how we couldnt interfere with the members space by the relaxation pool which wasnt even open. We had to wear paper wristbands to show we did not belong. They had 2 water aerobics classes outside during that time and that was it. The cafe only had donuts/muffins at 0730 on the morning, nothing healthy for breakfast, and more alcohol than anything else. If you are agreeing to host a swim meet, make sure you allow the other team the proper set up, make room for them and make them feel welcome, and have equipment that is functional. I swam my whole life, now my kids swim, and i have NEVER seen such a poorly hosted meet. It has turned me off to Lifetime fitness forever!!

This place is okay, just okay though. This place doesnt compare to an Equinox or even a much cheaper gym like 24 Hour Fitness because theres way too much going on. Is it a gym? Is it a cafe? Is it a low quality beauty salon? Is it a daycare?I live in Palo Alto but I was in the area and got a day pass with some friends. Ive never seen so many people just sitting around and texting on their smart phones and tablets. It was pitiful to be honest. Im not a power lifter or gym fanatic, but I do know the basics and this place is lacking in even the basics, as far as power equipment goes. It looks like a nicely decorated cardio gym because they only have a huge amount of cardio machines. And excuse me, I was told that overuse of treadmills isnt very good for you and your body. For all the extra money youll all be drained off, the membership of $149 is way too much. And if youre going to charge that much, why do you have such low quality cheap shampoo, body wash, conditioner and lotion in your locker room?
